a great time to kind of see where all these teams sit heading into the season bamama number two LSU sitting at number three Georgia 4 now Auburn they're at number five Tennessee up to six heading into the season Oregon seven Texas 8 Texas Texas 8 is kind of amazing because Texas was sitting at number 14 Just A Week Ago even higher than that a couple months ago A&M at 9 Miami at 10 Oklahoma 11 FSU slides down to 12 Notre Dame started the summer at number three they're currently at 13 uh Clemson Michigan USC you got UF at 19 and Georgia Tech rounding out the top 20 all right let's get the show started some of you might be asking Josh who is the stranger next to you well you know him as nil expert Pete naos wanted to get him on here because we've been experiencing some major commitments at the top of the rankings uh we talked David Sanders about two weeks ago uh the range of his nil deal was in the 1.3 million per year range so since then we've had another five-star offensive tackle come off the board Michael fusi he signed or he hasn't signed yet he committed to Oklahoma I wanted to just get your sense of what the range was what are you hearing that Michael fusi commanded nil dollars wise yeah so Michael fusi an elite offensive tackle in that same class of David Sanders we kind of broke it down last time I was on right these offensive tackles who are so needed uh in in in college football these days they kind of they don't drag out their recruitment but they're also one of the last ones to go in their Elite and it helps with their their market price and yeah Michael f he uh commanded well over a million dollars uh with his commitment to Oklahoma yeah and that kind of makes sense because he was a couple slots lower he was I believe the number four ranked offensive tackle in America whereas David Sanders was number one ranked offensive tackle in America but we also knew uh Steve wolong reported several times throughout this recruitment that nil would play a factor and boy did it so you're hearing over a million for Michael fusi now another festar off the board he went to Texas and Texas is known to p P out the Lambos on those official visits they are not afraid of nil and Jonah Williams the number one safety in America like Michael Fus also from the state of Texas and Texas was able to hold him in state we know Oregon was involved we know A&M Oklahoma uh LSU also involved what were you hearing in terms of nil dollars for festar Jonah Williams you know Friday morning I love this Jamie French is committing it like 7:30 in the morning can we get more commitments at 7:30 in the morning please we it's great cuz we can talk about it all day but uh Jamie French five-star wide receiver out amander and Jacksonville High School and Jamie French we know has been taking the visits we know that there's been several teams involved here but he's currently trending to Texas uh what are you hearing the ranges in terms of what a five-star wide receiver like Jamie French could command when it comes to nil dollars so when we talk about fstar wide receivers the place you have to start when you start talking about that is Jeremiah Smith JJ Smith he reset the market last year when we talk about every wide receiver in this 25 class they are now comparing themselves to the the um Financial package that Jeremiah Smith landed a year ago so when you're looking at that now it's anywhere between 300,000 and $700,000 for a top end wide receiver like a Jamie French right all right and and you know mentioned it too Ryan Wingo also reset that market those two together have really uh changed what the market is for an elite wide receiver yeah and you know Chad and Steve they they cover recruiting kind of from the conventional angle through sources of via coaching staffs and seven on seven coaches and parents you kind of have a different angle on it you cover it from nil so do your nil context is it lining up that you think that Jamie French is headed to Texas yeah I mean just talking to some uh sources and things like that I really like where the Longhorns sit at the moment all right so we'll see about that uh commit season kind of ends I think with Jamie French committing at the end of the month we've seen so many guys come off the board so many Big Time commit in July and August so that takes us into the season the football season which inevitably gets us to flip season which comes October November December uh what's a flip cost when it comes to n because we're talking like hey David Sanders is commanding in the 1.3 range and we're here in what Jonah Williams is commanding right now to commit in July and August but does a flip cost more money so flip season is the best season of the year especially for what I do when it comes to recruiting um so when we look at flips I think one thing you need to keep in mind is David Sanders and Michael fusi Jonah Williams those guys have already kind of like agreed to terms to a certain extent with these schools about what these packages are going to look like so for them to flip one it's really going to have to like be convincing that it's a better place for them and their family for the next four years and two it's really gonna have to almost not in some situations the the package almost doubles um or it needs to financial the financial package could almost double or it's going to have to have some some incentives that obviously you want me to move off this spot you're going to have to breing it it makes sense and we've seen it in the past I mean everyone loves to talk about Jaden rashada um right he obviously F KJ Balton I mean Bal yeah I mean like there there there is a history in the last two to three Cycles about how nil has really dominated a flip season yeah and and look guys I bring Pete on I know not everybody watching this agrees with nil or the way that recruiting is going but hey whether you agree with it or not it's happening so we could either ignored on this channel or we could sit here like adults and try to one explain it try to get you guys some real information some real data and also just just try to understand it so this leads me to my next question because this is something that I'm genuinely interested we talk about these deals we also talk about flips so what happens when a recruit flips like what happens to that original deal is there a cause in there where he one does he ever get any of the money uh do they have to repay it is the deal just torn up because he never stepped foot on campus like what happens with a nil flip so these are high school recruits right the transfer portal for example an athlete can't talk to a coach until they're in the portal recruits have yet to sign anything so they are completely free game so when you look at these nil packages and a flip some guys do receive money up front for a commitment that that is fact factually true um so sometimes they have to give back the money sometimes there isn't any money given up front and the the contract that has or has not been signed is ripped up and they flip um now the one that does that probably happened more often than not that happens more often than not the deal was never actually right and and so um the the preliminary injunction that happened in Tennessee against the NCAA in February that now allows recruits to have conversations with collectives and their agents and they can agree to terms on a contract they just can't sign anything right so I think this cycle is really going to be interesting to see okay how many contracts do exactly get ripped up because these contracts have been taken to a place that we haven't seen before in our recruitment um so yeah and and and Josh the one other thing too is we're still like what like 5 6 months from national Signing Day a little bit less than that about five yeah what happens on national Signing Day in the nil world is wild you will have a booster who wants to wake up and say I don't like I don't like where our class is right now let's change that today um so sometimes it's a slow burn and it just kind of takes off on national Signing Day his nil cuz recruiting has always been crazy like let's not act like recruiting just got crazy in this nil era I mean back even in the 90s guys would come wake up in the morning and just sign with a school and it would you know the surprises were even I think even more wild 15 20 years ago in recruiting so that being said nil do you think that some of these nil deals has actually solidified commitments or his nil kind of made it a little bit even easier to flip a guy I think nil has made it it's it's a case by case basis um you talk about the '90s right that's when cars just showed up in front of people's houses now it's a little bit more and there's no social media so you even know was happening exactly um I think for the right athlete it really solidifies that hey I'm done we have seen that like you gave me everything I could want we agreed to an nil deal I'm going to be there in February and that's it but the other factual truth to all of this is that there's athletes who are going to make lifechanging money and if someone comes to the table and says hey you're making 750 right now or that's what you're set to make and we're going to give you 2 million I mean there's lifechanging decisions that have to be made and that's how that's how some flips happen in the nil era and this is just how recruiting is right now we're going to try to bring you guys the truth the honest look at recruiting so hopefully you guys learn something here we're going to continue to bring pet on to talk about some of these numbers I mean I think as a family here as a YouTube family we're going to start to understand the r the range of dollars for each position group I mean we're already seeing it like the offensive tackles are in the million to million3 range whereas position players and skill players are a little bit lower so we're starting to figure it out so continue to uh just take this ride with us down this nil Journey we're going to we're going to we're going to keep explaining it we're going to keep it's going to be packed with top recruits all eyes are on that 3:30 kickoff between the Gators and hurricanes we're going to be watching that's for sure and so will Top recruits in this video I want to find out how this Gator cane recruiting matchup is going to be impacted by the game itself couple recruiting battles to keep an eye on and I got Chad Simmons here to go over it all but first guys right let's bring in Chad Simmons so Chad we got a a bunch of top prospects going to be in the Ville on Saturday but there's a few that we want to go over let's start with DJ picket the five star Corner who picked LSU over both Florida and Miami but both Miami and Florida fla are hoping to get back involved DJ picky even said himself he said back in May to on three that he wanted to see how the Gators perform this fall you know before really letting it go he's from zephra Hills right outside Gainesville do you think that DJ picket is a guy that this game could have an impact on either way it goes Miami or Florida's way yeah absolutely Josh I mean obviously I think Florida you know has more ground to make up than Miami I think a win here obviously would be huge for Florida but on the same side huge for Miami we've said when I say we Steve and myself uh have said all along that Miami you know playing the long game and their season can make a really big impact on DJ picket Recruitment and the same can be said for the University of Florida you know it's it's it's pretty similar with a lot of these guys we'll talk about that they've mentioned that they want to watch and see how both of these programs play throughout this season and kind of where the programs Direct ction is you know come October November December so that could all impact their final decision when they sign in December so yeah I do think this is a big one for both programs picket I think has Miami right now a bit higher on his list than Florida so uh Florida has more to lose uh but also probably more to gain as well yeah good point all right Hilton stubs the stud Corner out of the Jacksonville area he committed a USC back in March and it shocked us I mean it shocked all the analysts we weren't ready for for Hilton stubs to come off the board especially to USC but it also shocked the fora Gator coaching staff I think they felt like they were in a pretty good situation for him uh he ultimately decommits and he re and he makes another decision but this time it's the Miami Hurricanes that he commits to so this weekend he's going to be back in Gainesville to watch this one could uh Hilton stub's recruitment still be maybe open to the forto gator coaching staff well he definitely hasn't shut the door completely Josh if he's going back to the swamp this weekend obviously being a Miami commitment you know I think Florida kind of feels they lost this one twice you know we thought that Florida was trending obviously you know earlier in the year and then he committed to USC and then uh came down when he decommitted to Florida versus Miami and and Miami won that one too so Florida is not giving up he has strong connections and relationships there at the University of Florida he's been there double digit times going back this weekend and obviously again if he's taking this visit uh he still has Florida his radar he still was in communication with that staff and Florida would love nothing more um than to put you know a whiping on the the hurricanes and make a statement in front of a guy like Hilton stub so they're working to flip from that team University of Miami yeah very possible we'll see what happens there if the Gators can pull this off now uh on Three's number one ranked linebacker is Ty Jackson he's from the Sunshine State and he's going to be in Gainesville this weekend for the game uh both Miami and Florida would love to add him to the commit list he's not going to make a decision until December so he is going to watch things play out who has more ground to make up when it comes to number one linebacker Ty Jackson is it the Gators or the Hurricanes yeah I think ground to make up Miami for sure I think Florida has pulled maybe a head slightly in this race you know we go back and look months ago into the spring we were talking about you know Alabama Georgia even Miami more than maybe Florida but a couple of Summer trips uh to the swamp including one for the cookout uh back in July has put Florida based on my sources and Intel uh in a good spot here so I do think Miami has more ground to make up and the a win here by Florida on the other side of that could really put them even in a better spot making that statement early in the season all right stud wide receiver Joshua Moore out of Penbrook Pines Florida he committed to the Florida Gators a couple weeks ago but he famously told on three I haven't signed anything so he's committed but he admits hey I have not signed anything is Joshua Moore still a priority Target for the Miami Hurricanes yeah he's kind of famous for that court I think Josh at least on the inside scoop here with us uh but but no obviously again he's far from done too you go back and you go look at when he made this decision leading up to that decision you know Miami was trending there you a South Florida kid uh playmaker has been to Miami numerous times and uh he got that uh unofficial visit to Florida then an official visit to Florida and and they kind of changed the direction there pretty quickly he committed to the Gators there there so again he's going back to Miami at some point this fall maybe more than one time and uh they're still very much involved in his recruitment so this is a big game on both sides uh for Joshua Moore does he feel good about Florida after this game does he feel better about Miami after this game both teams have a lot to gain or lose uh in this contest all right jarquez Carter he's one of the uh most talented instate defensive lineman in Florida this cycle but he committed to Ohio State this summer which was a bit of a surprise because really all three instate teams would have taken well four put UCF I'm sure they would have taken him as well uh but jarquis Carter commits to Ohio State he's going to be in Gainesville this weekend do you think that's significant I do I think again he has his eye on both teams I mean he's committed to Ohio State but he's right there not far from Gainesville and uh he has a teammate committed to the University of Miami now they flipped him from NC State they have a connection there but he's I would say Florida was in a better spot heading into summer ovs you know now he commits to Ohio State um I think there's some level of confidence that both Florida and Miami Field they can keep him in the end home in state who will it be we'll have to wait and see or does he stay with Ohio State but both schools are recruiting him hard they haven't given up and obviously he hasn't given up on them he'll watch both teams play this weekend yeah hey traditionally Miami usually flips a couple from Ohio State at the end of the cycle so hey maybe jarquez Carter is the next one that Ohio State flips but of dogs HQ Rusty does UG and Clemson do those recruits do they sit in different sections how's this neutral site game visit work first of all you had me a tacos with that inside scoop so I'm writing that down right now from prize picks but uh listen this is very limited it's a neutral sight game so it's not typically Georgia would have I think around 400 uh total tickets for a home game for recruits this is a neutral site game so I believe it's about a hundred prospects and a guest they will not be on the field they will sit in separate sections you will go as a guest of Georgia or you will go as a guest of Clemson those guys are just afforded the oppor the opportunity to go sit into the bleachers and watch the game this is not your typical uh you know unofficial visit but it is a great opportunity for those kids to sit in that environment and watch a game uh Georgia definitely star studed list on Saturday yeah yeah Kirby's been kind of vocal at times about these neutral sight games because it takes away a big visit opportunity do you think even though it's in Atlanta do you think Kirby would rather play this game in Athens just from the recruiting perspective alone not this one because this is that first game of the year and you get that National publicity he did it at Alabama with Nick sa you know doing that neutral sight thing this is a Mercedes Benz opportunity to play in that building Kirby Smart takes every opportunity he can to probably create uh you know more more Advantage for his team down the line if Georgia does things well Josh they can play in that building four times they can play in this game they can play in the SEC Championship they can play in the semifinal and they can play in the national championship so he know he's not crazy about things like that but I will say this the Georgia Florida game is another whole discussion I know Kirby Smart and those people behind the scenes want that game in Athens but there's about five million reasons why it's gonna stay in Jacksonville all right now let's take a look at some of the big names that will be in Atlanta you got a pair of Five Star Plus defensive lineman in Justice Terry and Elijah Griffin they're both going to be on hand I mean it feels like Georgia has this one locked up it's just a matter of time is there any way that ug could maybe press on these guys to get them on that commit list or is Kirby just comfortable just continuing to host them on visits like this yeah you don't press on those guys you just let them keep doing what they're doing you stay you stay consistent kind of what he did with KJ Balden last year even when KJ Balden committed to Florida State he told me me the next morning he had a long conversation with Kirby Smart he said I'm not letting up on you KJ Balton told me he was very consistent I think Georg is just going to stay consisted they have recruited both of these kids for three years I don't see any reason why any either one of them right now since they've waited through the summer uh are going to make a decision anytime soon but I do think at the end of the day Josh both of these five-star prospects end up in this class for Georgia all right running back Usman chroma is gonna be at this game that's kind of interesting to me because I've always felt at different times it's either been Florida State or Auburn in terms of where Usain chroma is trending is is he still a priority for Georgia and can they kind of make the waters a little murky around that recruitment if they get involved I do think that and and listen man he's had a great I mean he had a great junior year he had a great sophomore he had a great freshman year I just got through watching some of his tape joshs it's crazy some of the stuff you see this guy do at 200 plus pounds running back and Josh Crawford the new running back coach at Georgia who took the job over from Dale McGee you you know where he coached some high school football at recently at Lee County High School uh so obviously he has a very he's very connected in that community at that school I think Georgia has just kind of hung around here hung around here and I would not be surprised to see Georgia turn this Notch up on him a couple couple of times here as the fall starts this is a guy that I do think that Georgia wants and I want to see where this thing goes I think Auburn and Florida State of the two schools as well as you mentioned there uh that would be the biggest competitors but Josh Crawford having that familiarity with Lee County High School could be kind of an ace in a hole down the stretch all right if uh ruer fans if you're watching now you might want to hit fast forward we're this might get ugly uh we're going to tap back in with these ruer flip targets we talked about it about two weeks ago Chase Linton and Braxton Kyle they're both also expected to be in Atlanta yep is George is still coming after these Scarlet night uh commitments or have has it passed man I I don't know we can talk about Ruckers right now with that listen one thing I'll say if you're Ruckers you did a hell of a job evaluating these guys but Georgia knew about consolation price you know what I mean Georgia knew about him and uh those guys came in and worked out braxon Kyle started the season off really good as a defensive attack with North Garnette not only Josh did he pick up Georgia two weeks ago he picked up Texas last week so things have really went up a couple Notch of freom he is still publicly verbally committed to Ruckers uh Chase Linton on the other hand has deom committed from Ruckers uh this is a matter of time for me before he ends up a Georgia Bulldog but you know kind of kudos to him he's taking a step back he's kind of seeing where things are and we'll see with this but I do think this one he is going to end up in this class at George they really like him 6'4 225 pound Edge guy out of North Atlanta High School he ran four5 for George he's got a 81 inch wingspan I've had him in a couple of camps he just kept growing and growing and growing and at the right time the last weekend in July he worked out for that Georgia staff and they'd seen enough they made an offer speaking of uh Diamonds in the Rough you found another one you text me his film let's get it up here you gotta watch this but uh you got another diamond in the rough Rusty oh man state of Georgia you look at this guy six foot5 I think 285 pounds and this time last year he was walking the Halls at Grayson High School as a basketball player how say his name Joseph J imach okay and Joseph imach is a young man from Grayson High School he is a University of Florida commit he is playing his first ever high school football games over the season and when I watched him play on ESPN last week against Thompson I didn't know his number but I kept watching this dude absolutely just wreck havoc I mean he is absolutely destroying the interior line of a Powerhouse football school I guess Georgia saw that tape as well everybody kept their eyes on him Georgia made an offer earlier this week and this will be one to watch here as well is right up the road but kind of Kudos Florida they got him down worked him out but Josh it's a kid didn't come out to play football until this past spring Grayson staff told me they were like hey this guy's walking the hall he kept adding weight we were like man you need to come out and play some football probably got a better chance that doing this than being a 6 foot5 you know power forward and kudos to him man he's already up to 285 I talked to their staff this morning we see this every year Josh around the country about two or three different kids will kind of pop up and you see this guy here uh Joseph imbach from Grayson longtime defensive line coach former college coach Greg Carswell man he told me listen I apologize to coach car he told me in May Rusty I got one he told me in June Rusty I really got one and then he told me in July Rusty you better come over here and see him well coach I saw him on TV this week and you were worri you were spot on uh this young man is this he's gonna rise continuously committed to Florida right now we'll see how things go yeah Gator's got on him early but we'll see if the dogs can make a move ug fans talk to Rusty and I how we feeling about this game give us your prediction for ug vers Clemson it should be an exciting One in Atlanta lots of recruits there let us know comment section below as summer comes to an end so does commit season which means bunch of actually all of these names uh DJ picket he tells you he's going to be in the swamp this weekend to start the year where else will DJ picket visit Pro most likely yeah I mean I think you have to start with the teams he play he sees play on Saturday I think obviously be at Florida I think this weekend I think he'll be at Miami at some point he has Family Ties there his cousin playing as freshman here Booker picket too at Miami this season obviously Oregon has not given up they were big competition for LSU um you know I think I think it end up at all three of those schools you know at some point uh this season for games obviously LSU um committed there they're the team to beat other school when you have a talent like DJ picket a five star that can play anywhere in the secondary and Elite Talent um they're not going to give up until he kind of closes that door and he has not completely shut that door just yet up next we're talking Duce Knight Chad we've had him on flip watch it seems like the entire month of August uh you've confirmed with Duce KN that he is going to take a visit to open the year where is he going he's going to Auburn that's the plan obviously you know he's been a guy that stayed pretty quiet um you know with his recruitment you know really most of the summer obviously took a visit to Auburn for Big Cat weekend and you know Old Miss is still working there and they'll try to get him on campus at some point but we kind of wait and see what happens he goes into this visit still committed to Notre Dame and the buzz has been around really anyone but Notre Dame you know it's been Old Miss Auburn mainly Auburn uh the last month month and a half and that they really have some confidence they can flip him there will it be this weekend uh that he comes out out of the the visit committed or flipped to Auburn you know Notre Dame's trying all they can as hard as they can to kind of keep him in this class get him into the season give them a chance to impress him win some games uh get him back on campus hopefully but right now the buzz is around Auburn who'll have him on campus this weekend yeah I don't know if it matters how hard that Notre Dame staff tries it just seems imminent that Duce Knight is going to flip his commitment but he hasn't yet all right Julian Lewis up next the USC QB commitment from Carolton Georgia what are you hearing on him in terms of where he could visit this fall let's still talk about you know obviously Indiana and Colorado being being the two right now that are still working to get him on campus for a game um and just kind of back more FaceTime you know I think there's still some confidence that USC that he kind of stays and remains in this class as Steve has reported uh on multiple times in recent weeks you know in his show and I still kind of feel this same way that that USC is in a good spot to kind of retain and keep Juju in this class but Indiana and Colorado are two teams probably more I hear more about Indiana than Colorado but both schools still have a chance to get him on campus you know this far I don't think anything's set 100% on dates yet with juu as of what I've heard uh as of this week but I do know uh he's at least contemplating uh visits to both Boulder uh and Bloomington yeah I would not be surprised to see Julian Lewis and Boulder at some point this fall uh let's let's talk about five-star Corner Naim offer there's been some smoke throughout the summer about both Alabama and Auburn the instate programs Nam Alfred committed to Ohio State what are you hearing on Alfred and his visit plans for this fall you know obviously Josh both instate programs Bama and Auburn would love to keep the Birmingham Talent you know at home in their state I think the one school you have to watch if you're Ohio State right now is Auburn you can never count Alabama out they're they're Alabama they have a history he knows some coaches there some players there saw one of his teammates signed with the tide in 2024 uh so obviously connections are there but I he keeps going back to Auburn he talks to Auburn more they there's more confidence at Auburn than Alabama about their chance to flip offord from Ohio State I think Auburn's just trying to play the long game just kind of keep getting him back on campus getting him around uh the class they're putting together here in 2025 you know obviously uh his dad's from Ohio he has family still in the state of Ohio uh they still feel good about Ohio State feels good about keeping him in this class and I would still lean towards you know him staying with Ohio State but let's follow these visits and see what happens uh this season Auburn for me is the biggest threat to Ohio State yeah I'd agree with that all right five star wide receiver Caleb Cunningham we got a couple wide receivers here that we're going to close it out with that are taking visits but Caleb Cunningham committed to Alabama it's solid but Caleb Cunningham is going to take visits in Chad we know one thing Caleb Cunningham can get impressed on some of these campus visits yeah I mean look he he's one of my favorite guys I'll say it to cover in this class because of just how transparent he is I mean he he wears his heart on his sleeve he speaks what he feels he doesn't try to hide his emotions and like you said he kind of get caught up in these in these visit highs and and come out saying this team leades or whatnot but obviously Bama you know hit the Grand Slam on the official visit back in June that's what landed him uh in Tuscaloosa getting his commitment back in July and Bama still I think has to feel good about where they're at they're the team that is on top of his list they're the team that others are chasing but others are chasing hard and they're going to stay in Pursuit until he puts the pen to the paper on December 4th and you know I think oh miss will get him on campus this weekend is right now the biggest threat to Alabama I'll say this we'll go to Old Miss this weekend then Bama next weekend and Bama back at the end of September for the Georgia game so Bama will get him back on campus multiple times this season but he was at Old Miss for juice Fest 24 in July um he'll be back this weekend he plans to take an official visit to Old Miss at some point later this year as well so uh look Old Miss is a threat they're not giving up they're very much in play Mississippi state will get him back on campus at least once maybe twice uh this fall he mentioned LSU potentially uh getting him on campus for a game this fall as well but uh right now he's committed to Bam him he feels good about that but Old Miss is coming strong in this race all right now Dallas Wilson he's from the Tampa Bay area but he's been committed to Oregon almost a year and a half now uh you spoke to Dallas Wilson this week and he's got a couple visits on tap that are not to Eugene yeah I mean he he's at Florida this weekend and mentioned that he'll he'll his words were likely taking OV to Florida at some point uh this year as well he plans to get back uh to Miami at some point and he's talked about taking an official visit to Florida state that Thanksgiving weekend uh late in November the week before signing day as well look he's mentioned to me all four instate schools are still in the mix Florida Florida State Miami UCF I look right now at the the big three Florida Florida State Miami you know bigger threats to or uh than UCF right now uh look Florida is recruiting him as hard as anyone he told me they're in contact uh you know on a regular basis and he's not a big guy that spends a lot of time on the phones and texting and things like that with coaches but he has a pretty strong dialogue with Billy Gonzalez at Florida he'll be there this week and he was supposed to take the OB to Florida uh in the summer in June he went to Miami instead that that could end up being a big thing for Florida if they was to win this game this weekend and kind of set the at tone for the season then get him back for a late official visit um you know October November whenever that happens uh that could be big for the University of Florida so look Oregon they feel good about keeping him in this class they do whatever it takes to kind of you know make him happy and keep him feeling good about his commitment and they're they should have a big year also in the Big 10 but look Oregon's all the way across the country you know if Miami plays well if Florida plays well if Florida State you know rebounds off that Tech loss uh in Ireland in place well they can make it tough for him to leave and go all the way across the country to Oregon and that's what they all want to do in the coming months all right now CJ Wy shocked the entire country when he chose FSU over LSU and Georgia back in July but CJ Wy he's on this list for a reason you've talked to him were you hearing he's going to end up visiting this fall yeah I think he'll be at in Athens at some point he's made that pretty clear look he said it's close to home easy to get to Let's hour away uh you know I think I've heard the Auburn game uh could be one he ends up at Georgia at he stayed in contact with James Coy Mike Boba you know numerous commits in in this class at Georgia obviously it's an instate School Florida state did not help themselves with that performance in Ireland last week in the kickoff for week zero um that they'll obviously have to rebound and kind of show him what they're doing the play uh they have long term for him at Florida State but look he's an LSU Legacy as well wouldn't surprise me uh if if he ends up back at LSU at some point this season but Georg is the one I hear more about than LSU right now being the biggest competition uh for Florida State but I would not be surprised at all if he goes back to Athens and Baton Rouge at some point this fall man it's going to be an exciting season you guys Hurricane Season gets started this week entering the season on the recruiting trael Miami currently sits at number 10 but depending on how this season goes it could go either way and the Cs could be looking at a top five class could they be looking at a top 15 class we will see we got isie Charles on this video we're going to get into it but before we do Miami fans do me a favor hit subscribe to let's bring in isie Charles of kport and we're going to get to the big matchup this week and we know there's going to be over a 100 Big Time recruits at this Miami Florida game in the swamp you're going to be there we're going to get to that in a minute but I want to get your overall thoughts about Miami's number 10 ranked recruiting class uh what would you say are the highlights or the strengths of the class heading into the season yeah I really like this class at the moment as we're just days away from kickoff of the 2024 campaign heading into this recruiting cycle Miami made it a big emphasis on recruiting defensive backs as a position of need if they landed a handful of blue Chi prospects at that position guys like Drake stub price Fitzgerald and Jabari anwan who are all top 150 guys kind of headlin that defensive back class for the canes but you also have guys like SJ aluli out of Bishop Gorman Gerard Pringle who's a top 175 running back and Luke niichel kind of the leader of the class at quarterback out of Milton Georgia so right now as we head into the season I really do like this class and I do think there's still a bit of a ro for improvement but I love where they right now yeah uh last year this was an incomplete class heading into the season it was defensive line that was the main focus heading into the season is it the same this cycle or what would you say the biggest need still to fill is I would say Miami's done a great job of filling that like I said defensive back was kind of like the hey we need to to land some big guys at this position because in the next few years that's going to be a position need for the team so this year definitely defensive back and I think they landed know the guys that they wanted to obviously they missed out on the big fist DJ pick it but I feel like going to still chip away and chip away at him until you know they can't anymore another position of need I think they kind of need to address as wide receiver as we kind of get through these last few months of the recruiting cycle right now they currently have one uh fourstar commit dalen Upshaw who I'm a big fan of and I think he's going to continue to rise this fall but I do want to see them to add one or two more Playmakers at that wide out position yeah Upshaw could be a jam of that class he's he's already off to a great start so speaking of the canes being off to a great start we enter the season at number 10 how do you think think Miami finishes this year is it higher lower where they at cuz last year it was a top five class the year before it was number seven I believe and currently sitting at top 10 yeah I think Miami will finish in the top 10 for a third straight year under coach Chris Ball and potentially push for another top five class if things go their way I think the main factor in this is going to be play on the field in my opinion I think if they figure things out on the field and match that with you know their their efforts on the recruiting Trail it could be scary come December with Coach Chris Ball and that staff pushing for some you know other commits elsewhere if they can get those wins on the field but right now I'm pretty confident saying a top 10 class and if things start clicking on the grid IR in the top five for sure yeah you know in year one and two Mario crystal ball he recruits with the with the wind at his back you know they got all the hope they got all the excitement building around the Miami program for two years but now year three it's time you got to prove it on the field and this week when when Miami heads to Gainesville to play the Gators they'll have a chance to prove it how important is this game for Miami recruiting I know it's not make or break you know if they win or lose it's not going to make or break this class but what does this game mean for the recruits watching I think this game is one of if not the most important game for recruits this year you know it's your instate rival it's a program that you're recruiting against you know every single year some of the top prospects in the state out of state wherever they may be and also it's both year three for coach chrisal and Coach Napier it's time to put up a shut up you've been selling know these dreams of hey we're making this program a program we're making this program come back to what it used to be now what better way than to start off the 2024 year against one of if not your biggest rival with over a hundred recruits that you guys are both recruiting in that um Stadium super super excited to see what goes down like I said it's time to put up for shut up for both of these coaches and I'm excited to see who comes out on top in this one yeah some some Battleground recruitments that both teams have come out on top you know whether it's wide receiver Joshua Moore who ends up in Gainesville uh Hilton stubs the great DB out of Jacksonville who's now committed to Miami also a guy like DJ picket who both Miami and Florida missed on but would love to flip from LSU they're all going to be in the swamp who are you keeping an eye on as far as a recruit that this game could impact yeah you named two of them uh Joshua Moore and DJ picket Josh Moore has made it clear that he's not signed any paperwork yet and if the Hurricanes outdo the Gators you know as the season goes on things could get interesting in his recruitment that's something that you know you love to hear as a fan of recruiting to inate programs battling out for one of the top wide receivers in the country also with DJ picket he's had this game circled on his calendar you know during the summer time and said hey regardless of where I commit I will be in the swamp on August 31st watching those two teams I think for both of these programs this is a chance to say Hey DJ listen we might have missed out you on the first swing but hey look at what we did against this you know instate program that you're being recruited by give us another chance or however may you may say it I think this is a great great opportunity for both Miami and Florida to put their best forward with DJ picket come August 31st I think you said it best this is a great opportunity for both programs to finally put it on the field in person lots of eyes on this one not just you and I but there's going to be hundreds of recruits
