100's of Recruits WATCHED Miami Hurricanes SMASH Florida Gators!! | What's The Fallout??

did this surprise you because I me and Steve both picked the Gators heading into this one but we were wrong all right speaking of Steve let bring him in bring in Steve Wong there he is why you got why do you gotta bring up old stuff hey I I'm just you know it's fair and balance we were wrong we we we were off just a tad we were off by about 380 yards was about the difference between the yards that Miami had compared to the yards that that Florida had cam Ward early uh early Heisman candidate obviously yeah really impressive uh he he seemed cool and calm Collective he took care of business he made a couple mistakes bounced back really well I thought he showed some Moxy going into the swamp week one that's not an easy task and Steve he kind of made it look easy well the one thing that we should have taken into account when we made our predictions is that Mario chrisal has a track record of getting his team ready to play in big games we've seen him take Oregon to Ohio State early in the year and get a win inside the shoe to go into the swamp pivotal game first game first week of the year setting the tone for a season to just dominate Florida like that quick scores big plays coach Shannon Dawson had him humming they were getting after Graham Merz and Company from the defensive side of the ball Tyler Baron transfer portal has been big for Miami recruiting has been big for Miami starting to come together for the hurricanes on the field now I looked at their schedule Josh 10 and two looks easy 11- one looks very attainable and 12-0 I mean I I know we're maybe getting in the hot take range here but they they can win every game on their schedule this year no question yeah I mean we felt that you know whether or not even if they won this game we still had confidence that Miami was going to have a shot at running the table from here on out and now they win this game I mean great start for Mario Chris Ball it's just what he needed and he did it he did it in front of some really impressive athletes right we knew that five-star DJ picket was going to be in town Ty Jackson was there I mean these jarquez Carter he's committed to Ohio State Joshua Moore who is committed to the Gators I mean these were some big time names Malik ay was there I mean these were some big names that were on campus uh let's start with the Gators I mean we know this was a missed opportunity but what I mean what do you how do you feel about the Gators and what they had in the swamp to witness this game well they obviously had the right guys on campus they're in the right recruiting battles but to close them they're going to have to win games like this so they got 11 more opportunities they're going to have a lot of big games in the SEC uh to change the narrative you know we saw DJ lagway come into the game in the second half throw a touchdown pass or or excuse me get him on a touchdown Drive handed off Tryon web punched it in the end zone but I think today's more about Miami Josh I mean a lot of those targets that were in the in inside the swamp are are guys that Miami is gon to try and come back around on you're talking about Ben Hanks top 100 cornerback committed to Florida right now Florida Legacy recruit Miami is one of three finalists alongside Louisville that's a guy that they covet they're going to continue to push there you know his sister's a volleyball player they're going to try and get his sister on the volleyball team at Miami so that'll be an interesting one to follow Joshua Moore is one of the first names I thought of on 300 receiver from Penbrook Pines Florida West Broward high commits to Florida the week he commits to Florida has family visited Miami I mean I could see Joshua Moore in Miami's class and receiver is one of their biggest needs you know they have dalen Upshaw committed he had a he's having a fantastic senior you had a really good junior year he's actually visiting Auburn today but he told me Miami was still his Leader by a mile but they're going to look for some more receiver help Joshua Moore Dallas Wilson five-star receiver he was supposed to be at Florida today that is one that Miami wishes he was at Florida Today right to watch that offense to watch cam throw for almost 400 yards see Shannon Dawson's offense they're gonna keep plugging away at Dallas Wilson Jamie French they just lost the first round of the Jamie French it's not even the first round of the Jamie French recruitment excuse me they just lost the second round yeah Alabama won the first round Texas is winning now will there be another round Miami hopes so they're going to keep recruiting him and then as soon as this season's over the best receiver in the portal the second best receiver in the portal I know Miami's going to attack there as well as that's a a point of emphasis for their roster moving forward as they try and stay competitive but this looks like Miami's for Real uh because I thought like Florida was I felt like Florida was going to be competitive today and they weren't they got slaughtered at home which it's hard to get beat it's hard to beat a Florida team like that inside the swamp we did get to see DJ lagway you know last year's five-star quarterback that signed with the Gators he he he got some burn he did throw a pick uh he he he looked good you know I mean it wasn't an ideal situation to see DJ lague make his debut we thought maybe he'd come in and spell Graham Merz kind of the same way you know Tim TBO did with Chris leak as the starter maybe get in there and bulldo for a first down or two with that big frame that DJ lagway has uh he did you know hey we don't know I I didn't get any updates on Graham Merz I know we're kind of talking off the cuff here but you know we don't know if DJ lag might see some extended playing time I talked to DJ picket dad our number one ranked Corner in the country uh at on three we just traded a text message about how Miami came to play obviously DJ's committed DS he's got three visits on the radar for LSU this season that he's going to get back to Baton Rouge but he's also we know he's also gonna get to coral Coral Gables at some point again Miami was one of the finalists alongside Oregon to to lose out to LSU in the summer for DJ picket but if there's a Target left out there and there's I wrote quite a few names that I expect Miami it was not that the article I posted on the website on on three that you can go read right now that is not me speculating these are the name these are some of the names there will be more names if they have the kind of year they want to have that I expect Miami to keep recruiting or make a push for and I think that list starts with DJ picket the number one player in the state number one corner in the country I think Miami feels really good about the class they have in the secondary right now with the safeties Hilton Drake stubs and Bryce Fitzgerald they have the corner jabori Antoine and Chris Ewald and then they really like Amari Wallace Timothy Merritt as well picket would be the final piece to a hellacious secondary if they can get him more games like this uh because the family loves Miami his cousin Booker picket Jr is a a true freshman there his uncle played there they got a lot of love for Miami they believe in crystal ball they just wanted to see it on the field he was originally going to commit in October uh I thought he was tur in Oregon at the end of summer LSU flips it their way gets them in the fold but Miami is certainly going to keep recruiting DJ picket the number one Corner in the country who was there to watch the Hurricanes pick off two passes and hold Florida to about 240 total yards of offense yeah and you know DJ picky he's one of those guys he told us back in May that I want to see what the fora Gators do on the field and this was an opportunity might be a missed opportunity for the Gators but this was an opportunity for them to impress a guy like a DJ picket you got to wonder how many other guys maybe a jarquez Carter or Malik atry were also watching this and saying well you know I was I was hoping that they would impress me a little bit more than they did today look I've seen guys come on recruiting visits and really be pulling for the team that they come to visit and then they have the belief they can help turn it around so maybe Ty Jackson's that guy of like yeah man I love it here I love this coaching staff I'd love to help him get it right so yeah seen that happen before too uh so that's how you got to spin it if you're the for theator coaching staff that's for sure uh speaking about spinning it I want to see what the Miami Hurricanes how how it's feeling on the ground we got auie Charles the from Arcane pcket just now he said this had a huge impact on the way he viewed Miami the Hurricanes really showed him things you know coach crystal ball on his staff had been really really hammering home hey we're building this program and I feel like today was a great stepping on the show guys hey we're taking the steps in the right direction you know inate program that we recruit a lot of guys against and we kind of did our thing today so reaction has been really really great for the Hurricanes coming out of today and a a lot of guys said Miami's climbing that recruitment for them right now after him to be a part of and watch yeah if I'm a bet I'm putting all my money on seeing you know DJ picket appearance and cor Gables sometime this fall know obviously he really wanted to see this game his father also you know stress the importance of this game to see which program started taking the steps in the right direction and Miami really show showcase that today so they're backing up what they're saying things are looking like they're coming together obviously super super early in the season but Miami had a great showing in game one and I think a lot of recruits including picket mov the needle with with them today with this game yeah who else I know it's I know it's early and I know you're going to talk to more guys but who else on off the top of your head it did this game have an impact on for Miami recruiting I'm going to jump in the 2026 class I spoke with uh Naim burrow uh 2026 wide receiver fourar out of bulls he's recruiting being recruited heavily by both teams said had a huge impact another 2026 guy Miami super high Samaran Wingo out of St Augustine he said Miami jumped to the top of his list because of this game so those are some guys right now guys are still trickling out of here a ton of guys get more reaction from but so far so good from the K with these recruits on right now isie did you see Ben Hanks or Joshua Moore after the ball game I know those are two guys that Miami's not going to go away on yeah so Josh Moore walked out I wasn't able to speak with him but it sounded like uh good things came from him obviously he made it clear he said hey if Miami out Des Florida this year things might get interesting and we saw that product on the field so excited to see you know where things land with his Recruitment and everything like that all checking in how about that Miami it's like a Miami home game all of a sudden you got Miami beat Riders Gra having Florida visitors getting Miami reaction because that's how close these recruiting battles are and we saw the Hurricanes at the end of the last cycle flip five-star defensive lineman Justin Scott from Ohio State they flipped five-star defensive lineman Armando blunt from Florida State and then they flipped Maris Lightfoot a festar edge because he was a silent commit to Ohio State they flipped him and got him in the boat for for Miami as well so they're going to be trying to swing a big spatula this cycle we talked about DJ picket we talked about Joshua Moore we talked about Ben Hanks we talked about those receivers Solomon Thomas is another that I I I think they'll go after the number one interior offensive lineman in the country currently committed to Florida State and then Zari Addison is an instate offensive lineman committed to Oregon those are two offensive lineman Josh that I think that we'll see them make a run at they lost a linebacker today Elijah Melendez I think they'll look for one more I think Miami would love to add a bigger running back to compliment Gerard Pringle shakai Mills Knight was kind of their top Target at that position so we'll see uh who they target there if they continue to try and recruit the Chattanooga standout um but Miami they're going to be a fun team to follow if they keep winning ball games like this okay you just breezed over something that really kind of blew me away today is Elijah Menendez he's been committed to the canes for a while now several months and two hours before kickoff he announced his decommitment I mean he had a haze faucet graphic and everything ready to go for his decommitment he's from casmi Florida you was that did that not stun you is like wow this is kind of weird this is wild that he's decommitting from the Miami Hurricanes two hours before kickoff well we reported on Thursday night that he would be visiting Auburn Jeff Lee and I getting information at the same time that he would be at Auburn so it doesn't surprise me as he was looking around at a ke he visited Michigan he's been talking to other prog I don't mean the decommitment surprised you I mean the timing of it that didn't that like nothing surprises you you've just been covering recruiting for so long that just I just view it as coincidental he's just yeah I'll announce it now nothing to do with game time or anything like that I mean he's on the planes I like where Auburn stands the on3 RPM favors the Auburn Tigers right now I don't know comment section I mean am I crazy for thinking that like two hours before kickoff is a wild time you could have told the Miami coaching staff at any point or let it go public at any point during the summer kids are doing it all the time during the summer and you decide two hours before kickoff while I'm in route to Alabama or Auburn he was at Auburn that I'm gonna decommit I just thought that's crazy Maybe I'm Wrong you guys let me know in the comments section let me know I guess that's not crazy I don't know to me it's kind of crazy
