[Music] golden eye 1995 is the 17th James Bond film and the first to feature Pierce Broan as the iconic British spy directed by Martin Campbell the film revitalizes the franchise with a modern take on bond blending traditional elements with new Dynamics in a post-cold war world The Story begins with a flashback to 1986 where James Bond and fellow MI6 agent Alec trellion also known as 006 are on a covert mission to destroy a Soviet chemical weapons facility in Arcangel the mission goes arry when Travelon is captured and seemingly executed by General urumov the facility's ruthless commander Bond narrowly escapes detonating explosives that destroy the facility 9 years later the cold War has ended and bond is in Monte Carlo tracking a mysterious satellite weapon system called Golden Eye this weapon can emit an electromagnetic pulse capable of disabling any electronic device within its range Bond encounters Zenia anop A Deadly Assassin and pilot working for the Janis crime syndicate and witnesses her hijacking a tiger helicopter which is impervious to the effects of golden eye the plot then shifts to severia Siberia where a secret Russian satellite control station houses the golden eye weapon Zenia and general urov arrive at the facility using the stolen helicopter to activate one of the golden eye satellites code named Peta they launch an EMP attack on the facility killing most of the staff and leaving the control center in Ruins however a lone survivor Natalia simova a computer programmer manages to escape back in London MI6 learns of the attack and suspend Janice of being behind it bond is assigned to investigate and track down The Syndicate his Pursuit leads him to Russia where he meets with an old Ally Valentine zukovsky a former KGB officer turned gangster through zukovsky Bond discovers that the head of Janis is none other than Alec trellion who faked his death during their mission 9 years ago now motivated by a person Al Vendetta against Britain travelan plans to use Golden Eye to devastate London's Financial District causing a global economic [Music] meltdown Bond eventually teams up with Natalia simonova who helps him track down the JIS Syndicate their investigation leads them to Cuba where trellion has a hidden base equipped with the second golden eye satellite code named Misha travelan plans to use Misha to carry out his attack on on London in a tense Showdown Bond and Natalia infiltrate tron's base while Natalya attempts to reprogram the satellite's trajectory to prevent the attack Bon confronts trellion leading to a fierce battle as the base's self-destruct system is activated Bond and trellion engage in a brutal fight at top a massive satellite dish Bond ultimately gains the upper hand dropping Travelon to his death the base is destroyed in the ensuing explosion and bond and Natalia Escape as the satellite falls from the sky the film concludes with Bond and Natalya being rescued by a CIA helicopter leaving behind the wreckage of Tran's grand scheme Bond returns to his life as a secret agent ready for the next mission while the world is once again saved from the brink of disaster golden I successfully reintroduces James Bond to a new generation with Pierce broen's portrayal capturing the character's charm wit and ruthlessness the film also explores themes of betrayal loyalty and the changing geopolitical landscape all while delivering the high octane action and sophisticated Espionage that fans expect from the franchise the combination of a compelling story memorable characters and cuttingedge special effects makes golden eye a standout entry in the James Bond series subscribe to our Channel and click the Bell icon to get notifications on our new videos make the background music action
