hey there Patriots Nation it's your favorite host here bringing you that hot update Straight from behind the scenes of our beloved New England Patriots but hang tight because today's news is bound to get the fans buzzing and I know you're going to want to weigh in on this but before we dive in make sure to subscribe to the channel right now the strength of Pat's nation is what helps this channel grow and bring you all the latest news first all right we all know this off season has been full of moves and tough decisions for our team one of those decisions that's been stirring up quite a bit of Buzz is the future of bayy zappy our backup quarterback who's earned some love from the fans but unfortunately things haven't been going too well for him lately ever since the season started heating up it became clear that zape might end up being the odd man out as we head into the 2024 season with M Jones getting traded to the Jaguars and jacobe brassette stepping in as the bridge quarterback it seemed like zapp's fate was pretty much SE field and things got even more complicated when the Patriots used the third overall pick in the draft to snag the promising Drake May and then grabbed Joe Milton in the sixth round over the last few weeks zap has been sliding down the depth chart and it was expected that he'd be a solid backup especially to make sure the only guys available to step in for brassette aren't just rookies but it's hard to believe that coach Jared Mayo would want to carry four quarterbacks on the main roster and sending zappy to the practice squad seems risky too since some QB needy team could snatch him up leaving the Patriots with nothing in return the most plausible option a trade before the final roster cut deadline on August 27th and guess what there's a team keeping an eye on him with rookie JJ McCarthy's injury the Vikings are in trouble and only have Sam darnold as their starting option but they're not the only ones interested and here's the plot twist in our news just Herbert from the Los Angeles Chargers suffered an injury leaving The Californians with a big question mark at the quarterback position he's back at practice but won't be fully recovered could the Chargers be bayy zapp's next destination after all they're in a pretty tough spot with two inexperienced backups if the Patriots play their cards right we might see zape heading to LA in exchange for a late round pick maybe even that sixth rounder they've got next year now Pat's Nation what do you think would it be a good move for the Patriots to trade zappe and stock up on more draft picks to keep rebuilding the team or should we keep him as a backup Insurance drop your thoughts in the comments and of course don't forget to share this video on your social media hit that subscribe button and ring the bell so you don't miss any updates we're in this together because the season's looking promising and the future of the Patriots is in our hands too thanks and see you next time
