AND IT'S REALLY INTERESTING BECAUSE IT LOOKS LIKE A POCKET OF PELL HOMES THAT HAVE BEEN HIT. AND I GOT TO TELL YOU, WE ARE SURROUNDED BY UTILITY CREWS. YOU CAN SEE JUST BEHIND ME, WE'RE SEEING SOME PG E VEHICLES, RIGHT? BUT THEN AS I WATCH YOU ON OVER TO THIS SIDE, YOU CAN SEE ALSO IN THE DISTANCE OR ASSESSING SOME ADDITIONAL PG E CREWS. I'M ALSO HEARING THAT A TNT IS OUT HERE AS THEY'RE TRYING TO ADDRESS SOME OF THE INFRASTRUCTURE DAMAGE THAT'S BEEN DONE RELATION TO THIS FIRE. AND OF COURSE, WITH THAT, WE'RE SEEING SOME OF THE HOMES THAT HAVE BEEN LEVELED IN THIS FIRE. AS WE'RE TAKING A LOOK HERE AGAIN, IT'S HARD TO DETERMINE EXACTLY THE DAMAGE DONE, BUT IT'S HARD TO EVEN MAKE OUT WHAT THIS WAS, WHERE ASSUMING THAT IT'S A GARAGE THAT USED TO STAND JUST HERE. AND THEN AS MY PHOTOGRAPHER IS JUST KIND OF SHOWING YOU SOME OF THE DAMAGE WE CAN ALSO SEE IN THE DISTANCE, SOME OF THE HOMES THAT ARE STILL STANDING. YOU CAN SEE SOME OF THE RETARDANT THAT WAS USED, OF COURSE, TO CONTINUE TO FIGHT THIS FIRE. SO KIND OF A HOP SCOTT SITUATION WE'RE DEALING WITH HERE WHERE SOME HOMES STILL STANDING WHILE OTHERS HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO NOTHING. WITH THAT, LET'S GO AHEAD AND TAKE YOU OUT TO SOME VIDEO AND WALK YOU THROUGH THIS. THE FIRE BROKE OUT JUST BEFORE 3 IN THE AFTERNOON ON SUNDAY IN CLEAR LAKE COUNTY FIRE SAYS CONTAINMENT NOW SITS AT 40% AND NEARLY 80 ACRES HAVE BEEN BURNED. COUNTLESS CREWS ARE OUT IN THE AREA ASSESSING DAMAGE, DONE TO INFRASTRUCTURE. FIRE OFFICIALS SAY THE AREAS STILL UNDER FIRE WEATHER WATCH WHERE THEY WILL CONTINUE TO DEAL WITH LOWER HUMIDITY AND GUSTY WINDS. THEY TELL US THEY WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP WATER ON HOT SPOTS TO KEEP THE FIRE FROM KICKING UP AGAIN. LAKE COUNTY FIRE SAYS MORE THAN 2000 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN FORCED FROM THEIR HOMES AT AROUND 40 CARS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED IN THE FIRE. THAT'S ACCORDING TO OUR LAST CHECK. THEY TELL US FOR PROGRESS HAS BEEN STOPPED, BUT THEY SAY THE HIGH FIRE RISK ZONE, AN AREA WHICH IS DENSELY POPULATED, HEAVY WITH DRY BRUSH. FIRE OFFICIALS ALSO MENTIONED ALAN NEARBY HOSPITAL STOPPED TAKING IN NEW PATIENTS AND HOW THOSE 9-1-1, CALLS WERE DIVERTED TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL BECAUSE OF THIS FIRE. I WANT TO GO AHEAD AND BRING YOU BACK OUT LIVE REACHED OUT TO PGA NEED TO GET A BETTER IDEA OF HOW POWER IS LOOKING LIKE IN THE AREA AS FAR AS THE DAMAGE DONE TO INFRASTRUCTURE INFRASTRUCTURE. EXCUSE ME, WE HAVEN'T RECEIVED AN UPDATE JUST YET. I HAVE REACHED OUT TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT SAYS RIGHT NOW THIS FIRE IS BEING INVESTIGATED AS SUSPICIOUS RILEY, JUST TO PAINT THE SCENE FOR YOU. I CAN TELL YOU WE'RE STILL VERY MUCH FEELING THE AFTERMATH OF THIS FIRE. WE CAN TRULY SMELL IT. SO AND OF COURSE, WE'RE SEEING A LITTLE BIT OF SOME OF THAT ASH WHIRL AROUND BECAUSE OF THAT WINDS.
