IS THIS THE BEST RESTAURANT AT DISNEY WORLD? Topolino’s Terrace Dinner Review- Riviera Resort

Topolino's Terrace is this the best restaurant at Disney world today we are here at Disney's Riviera Resort to check out Topolino's Terrace guests absolutely Rave about this restaurant for their incredible handmade pastas picturesque views and unique French and Italian cuisine but is Topolino's Terrace worth a stop on your next trip to Disney World let's go find [Music] out Topolino's Terrace is a very popular spot here at Disney World in their character breakfast is the best you'll find in my opinion but for dinner they do things a little differently as this restaurant transforms into an elevated French and Italian inspired restaurant and the characters disappear I'm assuming a lot of people get kind of confused when they show up for dinner and realize there are no characters because I was warned about like three times while booking this reservation that there are in fact no characters at dinner so definitely keep that in mind and with that being said let's head up to the 10th floor I have just a couple of minutes before my table is ready so I figured I'd come up to the balcony out here when you come up to Topolino's Terrace on the 10th floor you get this incredible view you can see all of Caribbean Beach the Skyliner in the distance you can see the Tower of Terror in Galaxy's Edge you can even see the mountains back there you really can see everything off in the distance I'm not sure if you can pick it up on the camera but you can see Everest and the Tree of Life you've got the Swan and Dolphin more Skyliner views and over here you see living with the land you can also see figment but living with the land is more important and decided from these incredible views there's also a little Lounge area with some like outdoor tables and chairs and stuff I definitely do wish they utilize this space a little bit better because this will be such an awesome place to hang out especially at night they have like lights up above they have a space for a bar out here to serve some drinks I just wish they actually utilize this area as a lounge because I this would be probably just the Ambiance alone up here would be like a top 10 lounge at Disney World or maybe even a top five Lounge at Disney World if they actually used it but it's here for you to just come out and sit but they don't really have much going on up here it's not very Lively well we have made it inside this is such a beautiful restaurant guys and my view even just from the table I'm not even sitting next to the window I'm sitting next to it which you guys know I love a good table with a view I feel like it always just UPS the dining experience so much and I can literally see Tower of Terror Everest the Tree of Life the Skyliner Swan and Dolphin I can see living with the land just from my table it's going Drinks to be a great night only to be made better because there's no way I'm starting my meal without an espresso Martini but I do want to show you the other drinks that they have on the menu here they have a bunch of really good sound and drinks and oldfashioned here I really like the tramanto they have this downstairs at Bara which is amazing if you get the chance to check out Bara is a great spot but they have a drink I'm not sure if it's exactly the same but it looks to be very similar um so this looks really good as do this this French Rose looks really good as as well they also have an extensive wine list but like I said I am going with the espresso Martini every time I review an espresso Martini everyone's always like the one at topolos is my favorite the one at topalo is the best and I've never tried the espresso Martini here so since I was coming I figured I had to do it this espresso Martini here is made with stoi vodka espresso and Kua guys this espresso Martini looks to be right up my alley it has everything that I'm looking for an extra thick foam three beans and it looks to be very dark which is a good sign because I like a strong espresso and a strong alcohol flavor like I said I've gotten this recommended to me so many times and I'm psyched to try it out so here we go you guys you are right it is super super heavy on the espresso flavor it's almost like very very bitter that is honestly EX exactly how I like it obviously that foam is just delicious not tasting many other flavors in it which is good because if an espresso Martini has a flavor I like it to be very very light on saided flavor and not too overpowering where it like kind of overpowers and outshines the espresso this is thank you for recommending it guys and guys this doesn't happen often but I think we have a new addition to the top five espresso Martini in Disney World list you guys know I'm I'm a tough critic on things especially when it comes to Espresso martinis I like espresso martinis very in a very particular way and this this definitely checks like I said all of the boxes this is top five for sure so my list is as follows number one wine bar George and Disney Springs I think that espresso Martini is honestly just in a league of its own it nothing really comes close to that but if you could get close number two is the Enchanted Rose at the Grand Floridian that is my number two espresso Mar always delicious of course number three is over at the bellw lounge Megan makes a killer espresso Martini especially if you ask for the right down Main Street special which is a chocolate raspberry Espress Martini telling you guys go try that out I would honestly i' put this here at number four I think like I said it checks all my boxes for a perfect espresso Martini number five I'd probably I'd probably go with the boat house so yeah this cracks the list we have a new addition I'm thrilled also I did want to point out if you wanted to come get this espresso Martini you don't have to do the full like sit down dinner meal or anything they do have a lounge SL bar bar area that you could go get some drinks at I believe you could also order some of the menu up there so if you don't want to do the full fancy dining thing just go up to the lounge and grab yourself an espresso Martini you will not be disappointed all right before we go over Bread Service the appetizers here I was just given the bread and I do love the bread here at topolos I mean this is a French Italian kind of Fusion Restaurant from the Mediterranean so I do expect some pretty good bread and here we have it's almost like a it's almost like a French roll they call it epy bread it's an interesting shape but they serve it with some French olive oil love to see it this this is really good bread here now this bread is so fun because you could literally like peel it off it looks like a flower almost so you just peel off little pieces and then you can dip it in the olive oil this is just a great French baguette it's a little bit crusty on the outside I do wish it was served warm I feel that would kind of up the game a little bit you can tell this olive oil is of really high quality here I don't know exactly what makes a high quality olive oil I mean I think it's like aging it a while but you could just taste it's like it's very very fresh and it pairs perfectly with that bread you didn't like olive oil on your bread though they also have butter that they're able to give you and you could use that instead okay now that Appetizers we've gotten to our espresso martini and our bread it's time to look over our starters here a lot of really good stuff on the menu we've got a heirloom and tomato panzanella a Ratatouille fritter this noi which was actually recommended sounds delicious we've got a pork belly here an oi tomato bisque that is certainly unique ricotta escargo and a roban salad my two favorite appetizers on this venu I'd have to go with the rata it is made inhouse served with a balsamic it is seriously to die for especially when you got to kind of get a bite with your bread in there it's really really good I highly recommend and I also love the escargo I think the s cargo here is so buttery and garlicky like it's it's really really a hit those are the two things I recommend but upon looking over everything honestly so many of like the things that I haven't tried before sound really really good so I think I might go with something different here we have the uni tomato bis this has blue crab Teragon and sea urchin for $17 this will most likely go down as the most expensive bowl of tomato soup that I ever eat but I saw crab and oi in there and I love oi um and it just sounds so interesting to where I've never like seen that kind of thing in a tomato soup before and it's also like a rainy kind of dreary evening so I figured be perfect for a bowl soup all right let's get a bite of this soup here wow that is so delicious it's so creamy it has a very rich Seafood flavor at almost tastes similar to a lobster bis which I love a good lobster bisque of course and I haven't even mixed the crab that they put in the middle in yet so let me give that a mix here and try another bite all right now we've got some crab this is pretty dang delicious like I said it almost tastes more like a lobster bis than a tomato soup for me but it does still have that like those notes of tomato soup this is really really good I'm happy with my choice and I love a good table side presentation I feel like soup just always tastes better when they kind of pour it in your bowl at the table I don't know what it is anyone else agree with that it's also really weird because usually I'm not like a big tomato soup fan like I like it with a grilled cheese but other than that I wouldn't necessarily order it out anywhere but I just I I went for it here because I feel like Disney always makes really really good tomato soup especially here at Riviera downstairs at the quick service restaurant Primo Pia which is Amazing by the way their tomato soup down there is killer and I asked I was like I wonder if it's the same tomato soup down there up here and he said uh they checked with the chef and it's not it's totally different and it's it's honestly just as delicious if not better because we've got all that crab and oi in there and I'm wondering I I'm assuming that the oi cuz it didn't come whole um I sea urchin just in case you weren't aware um I'm assuming it's kind of like Blended in with the tomato soup itself to make it like a little bit richer and creamier cuz II is very creamy I'm assuming that's how it's prepared but either way like I said this is delicious and as I was sitting here I was kind of like you know it would be really good if I dipped my bread here in this tomato soup I feel like it's going to be a really good combo yep well I couldn't just stop there I wanted to try one new to me thing and one favorite The ricotta this has tomato jam aged balsamic Cracked Pepper basil and epy for 17 bucks this was a game time decision guys I wasn't planning on ordering this but then I saw it go by and I was like wow that looks delicious I just can't resist and the Sun is hitting me perfectly it is golden hour my favorite way to eat this is just by dunking some bread in that good old racata the bread here is just like the perfect vessel for anything including this ricot that rot I will say it's very very lemony I don't remember it being this lemony I enjoy it because I love lemon but it kind of hit me and I wasn't really expecting a of course it is just so creamy and delicious I love that bit of Cracked Pepper on there and I want to get some of this tomato jam on my next bite as well that is just a great combo the tomato jam kind of provides this extra like ump to it I don't know how to describe it it's just like this extra like hardtin it really really all pairs really well together especially when you get some of that sweet balsamic in there great great combo great app this is this got to be my go-to well post golden hour we are now greeted with one of the most beautiful sunsets and I love like that this restaurant is so high up we are on the 10th floor of the Riviera Resort so like I said we have an amazing amazing view in the sunset I recommend coming during the sunset and asking for a table kind of close to the window because this view is really incredible well moving on Entree from starters let's take a look over the Entre here some choices are a bronzino brazed beef cheeks which I've heard very good things about I've also heard really good things about the fet minan here I've actually never tried it and today won't be the day they have this I don't want to pronounce that guys I don't know how to pronounce it let's just call it a fish stew because that's what it says there okay we'll just go with fish stew of course the rigoton sea scallops so and they have a cabbage dish a plant-based one and also some enhanc here we have scallops that you could add on grilled shrimp you could add on or brussels sprouts it is kind of sad because they used to have an entire like pasta menu with I want to say like four different pastas or so on it they do make all their pasta in house and I've never had a bad pasta here but luckily the one pasta that remains is my favorite and I'm sure a lot of your guys favorite as well the rigoni a couple of years back they actually changed the ratoni here to add like truffle luckily for me I love truffle but I know a lot of people are very very because with that addition of black truffle of course they up the price to be $40 so this is the $40 pasta but in my opinion it is still worth it is still super good this is the rigatoni here from topolos it has a braz chicken barolini Panetta exotic mushrooms and black truffle for yeah 40 bucks well guys I am so excited for this pasta I haven't been to topalo for dinner in a very very long time so I haven't had this pasta in so long and I just remember always loving it so hopefully it's just as good this pasta is seriously just as good as I remembered if not even better now the thing that makes this dish totally stand out for me is of course the handmade pasta I mean this is made in house and you could 100% tell you know when pasta just has that like that chew that bite that you know it's made in house and it's not just like dried pasta that's what you get here it is so phenomenal the pasta here is just absolute Next Level and I kind of wish they did more with it because the pasta is so good I would imagine this noodle with some some housemade like vodka sauce or something would be just incredible I would love to see more like ways that they use the pasta here I know they have a Yoki dish which now I'm kind of sad I didn't get because I just I just it just hit me how much I love the pasta and I'm I'm assuming that Yi starter is just as good too but man this pasta is so good but you also get that like creamy incredibly rich brown sauce the chicken thighs are brazed and are kind of like pull Park and they are just so so so tender I love the broccolini in here because it's a little bit like par cooked so it's not fully cooked through so it gives you like a little bit of like a a little bit of a bite I don't like when veggies are too overcooked and mushy and here they are just cooked perfectly it all combines really really well you can definitely taste that truffle and honestly there are plenty of little bits of black truffle including this pretty large piece I mean it has a great great truffle flavor all around this is just this is just fantastic I do think it is probably one of my favorite Entre at all of Disney World it it really is nearly unbeatable it's so good Dessert well this pasta was too too good but I am stuff we still have a little bit of room for dessert so we're going to take a look over the menu here a lemon tiasu warm chocolate cake vanilla and citrus crem berlet fruit of the forest a vanilla bean ice cream no sugar but has extra virgin olive oil and a lemon biscotti crumble that honestly sounds really really good but I think I'm going to go with the lemon tiasu this has an espresso mousse a lemon cello marscarpone cream and pistachio mering for $14 now I don't think I've ever actually had dessert here at topalo but when I saw that lemon tiramisu that sounded just way too interesting to pass up but this dessert has a lot of competition because again downstairs at the Quick Service they they just have such a good quick service restaurant here at Riviera they have a ton of good stuff including the Riviera signature cookie it has like dried cherries pistachios dark chocolate maybe oats seaa oh my God it's to die for so if this tiu is going to be better than that I will be very impressed let's try this out this is definitely not your typical tiasu because it has an espresso mousse instead of like the espresso soaked lady fingers there is a little bit of a cake underneath that you could tell has been soaked in es espresso on top you get just the tiniest hint of that lemon I've recently been introduced to like lemon with espresso I had it for the first time uh like a espresso martini with a lemon twist at um The Flying Fish which by the way I have a full review of flying fish up on my page one of my favorite restaurants for sure the espresso Martini there was really good with the lemon so I expect it to be really good in this and I'm honestly I could use more lemon like it kind of just tastes like an espresso mousse to me like I wish that lemon had a little bit more flavor so it could kind of make this unique and I wish it also had a little bit more pistachio because the only thing pistachio about this is this little pistachio mering I feel like pistachio with the tiasu and with the lemon would be a really good combination but honestly this is it's it's not that a bad it's bad because again this is not something that's bad but I just you know I wanted a little bit more I wanted something that would really really make this stand out and it's good but it's nothing special and I think think I'd still prefer to go downstairs and get that Riviera signature cookie before i' Final Thoughts get this again well guys we are finished up at topalo and yet again another fantastic meal at this restaurant I honestly think whether you come for breakfast or dinner you will not be disappointed they kill both meals like I said the breakfast is a character meal so for a set price you order an entree you get a bunch of pastries the food is so good especially the steak and eggs that is my go-to for breakfast but honestly both meals like I said so so so good and the Riviera is just a beautiful resort we're ending the night with some fireworks up here on the balcony and again I wish they utilized this balcony a little bit better it's built for a space for like entertaining and stuff I don't know if they use it just to like rent out for private events and stuff but I'm currently standing right in front of this bar and if they just had a bartender out here whipping up some great cocktails like the ones they serve inside with these little chairs in this view I mean this would be a premier spot so totally know if you're listening let's
