BUT THE ATLANTIC OCEAN IS ABSOLUTELY CALM. EARLY CALM AS WE HEAD TOWARD SEPTEMBER. THE PEAK OF HURRICANE SEASON IS ON SEPTEMBER 10TH. DOWN THE SHORE, RIGHT NOW, ALL CALM AS WELL, DOWN IN OCEAN CITY. HOWEVER, AS WE GET INTO THE AFTERNOON, WE WILL HAVE TO WATCH OUT FOR THE POSSIBILITIES FOR SOME STRONGER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MOST LIKELY DOWN THE SHORE HERE IN PHILADELPHIA TEMPERATURES WILL BE AROUND 87. JIM, MAYBE NOT LIKE THAT EITHER. BUT STILL OVERALL VERY NICE DAY. PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES, SMALL CHANCE FOR RAIN IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA. EVEN MORE SUNSHINE EXPECTED ACROSS THE LEHIGH VAL THINK AFTERNOON WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 86. LET'S TALK ABOUT YOUR MONDAY MORNING, A LOT OF KIDS, A LOT OF STUDENTS, FAMILY, FRIENDS, EVERYBODY GETTING READY FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR TODAY, TEMPERATURES STARTING OFF AROUND 69 DEGREES, SOUTH JERSEY INTO MILLVILLE, TEMPERATURES ARE THERE IN THE LOW 60S, DOVER, GOOD MORNING, 66 DEGREES OUT YOUR WAY, AND THEN ACROSS THE PHILADELPHIA AREA, UP INTO THE LEHIGH VALLEY, STARTING THE DAY WITH TEMPERATURES INTO THE MIDDLE IF NOT THE UPPER 60S. LET'S TALK ABOUT THE DAY AHEAD. SMALL CHANCE FOR JUST FEW OF THOSE ISOLATED SHOWERS OR STORMS IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA. AS YOU GET CLOSER TO THE SHORE, THE CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND STORMS WILL START TO INCREASE LITTLE BIT MORE. IN FACT, THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER OUT IN NORM AROUND, OKLAHOMA JUST INCREASED CHANCE FOR SOME STRONGER STORMS. NOW, ON THAT SCALE OF ZERO TO FIVE, IT IS STILL A ONE. BUT THAT STILL IS LOOKING AT THE POSSIBILITY OF A COUPLE OF STRONGER STORMS THAT MAY PRODUCE SOME GUSTY WINDS. NOT MUCH TO SHOW YOU OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ARE BACK TOWARD LAKE ERIE, IN FACT, ERIE, PENNSYLVANIA, GETTING FEW OF THE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THIS MORNING. ALL LINING UP ON A BASICALLY UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE. WE CALL IT TROUGH OF LOW PRESSURE UPPER LEVELS. AS THAT PUSHES THROUGH THE REGION, THAT'S WHERE WE COULD FINDS SOME OF THE DEVELOPING LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS AND STORMS. I PAUSE IT THERE AROUND 3:00. THAT WILL CONTINUE TO PUSH TO THE SOUTH. LEAVING THE REST OF THE AREA GENERALLY DRY AS WE GO THROUGH THE REST OF THE OVERNIGHT. WE START TOMORROW MORNING WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 60S. AND THEN MORE SUNSHINE TOMORROW MORE PEOPLE ARE HEAT, TOO, HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 90 DEGREES. NEXT WITH WITH SEVEN-DAY FORECAST, WE WILL SEE MORE HEAT AND HUMIDITY GOING INTO WEDNESDAY. HIGH TEMPERATURES AROUND 96 FEELING LIKE CLOSE TO TRIPLE DIGITS THEN COOLER WITH
