Robert scheivert 38 his old son of Allen Chi versus. Who served for decades as a CEO of a 5 billion dollar company his father. He was a long snapper for Auburn football later went on and signed with the Falcons now Lindsay and Robert met 2007. At Auburn in a fitness class 3 sons ages, 1211 in 5 married for 13 years, but Rob filed for divorce in 2 2023 citing an affair. Lindsay with a man named Terrence Bethel he's 28 years old younger, a Bahamian native they met while she was vacationing in Guana Cay a resort Island off the coast Buck o and he was working at grabbers bar and Grill. Turns Bethel is friends with a man named farron Newbold fire and 29 years old he's a father of one. He's an aspiring music producer, the son of a very well respected local politician in the Bahamas. And his day job is as a structural engineer at a power company and one what happens is is turns Bethel Leslie connects shot ever with new bald and texted Newbold kill him with an image of Robert her husband on whatsapp authorities found this during an investigation into a break-in at grabbers bar and Grill bill so someone broke into grabbers and they grabbed Terrence his phone and they found them message between shive Iran Newbold. The kill him message all right, let's bring back in yes still with us Tony Bruschi and Tim Jansen Tim, I'm looking at this case there are 3 defendants in all of this. And behave new law little different, I know for some time they all have the same lawyer I don't understand that exactly. it seems the defense to all this may be all this was just a joke. What do you think that defense yeah. >> Well that's or joke and you know we discussed this before how the same solicitor could be representing all 3. It's not a joke that the penalties for this crime conspiracy to commit murder in Bahamas. You look at 30 years to life. But put together if you put that. >> Timeline together and then you put down the comment and then you put down the actual picture. So yeah, what you have your have have words being given to a 3rd party to commit a crime. And then she adds a picture so he knows who the person is asking to kill. That was done for the rents of the conspiracy to commit murder they've done enough to convict them under Bahamian law now I don't expect them all any of them to flip because they're all related they may have the same lawyer. I think there are going to go down together or they're all going to walk together. >> You know Tony when it when I heard about the defense being it's a joke when you send a joke like that you need the lol you need an OG and you don't send a picture of the person that you want killed. >> No that's not usually how that goes down me there's there's that I just want to kill him and we all of said that before and then there's. Here's the image, here's everything you possibly could need to recognize who this man is and then let's get the hit man involved it was not just a little side conversations letting off some steam. This is getting someone else involved which is obviously where we saw there a new bold get involved as well as the alleged possible hit man had this all come to fruition. >> Now Tim, I understand Lindsay and turns per perhaps having some allegiance and all of this because I think they they still have the hots for one another. Right so I get that part but for new strikes me as a guy fathers politically connected down there in the Bahamas. He's working he's got like real jobs, he's an aspiring music producer, but also works as as other jobs I'm surprised that he doesn't come the one right the one that could that could either flip or say listen, I don't want any part of this was to me these people drag me into this I'm nothing to do with this and kind of throwing under the bus a little bit. At least that's the way out expected to play if this was if this is being tried up here in the States. >> Yeah that's that's a great point they need because he looks like one that would be able to cut the deal with his father being politically Canal did he is really the third-party all he was a conduit he didn't take any action from what it appears. He would be the one that they would want to cut a deal with right to prove, but I think by the Bahamas is such a small island just not heard of for these people to testify against their own now he might testify against Lindsay but he might have a hard time testifying against a fellow, but union friend of his that might be the sticking point we know the trial got can Ken you after everybody wanted to speedy trial and said we're ready to go they got can trick continued to July one on so we'll have to wait and see. >> Yeah at this point no one is in a rush because no one's behind bars, but Tony she. She served some time in a Bahamian jail which you know if you look at it 30 to life that's that's basically your life deserve it. You know those are some good years, you know when yes, she got out if she got out she be perhaps in her 60's or 70's, one. That happens. I mean everything is at stake here. I am I'm still baffled by how this actually your thoughts about her being the American. The Bahamas and they're they're the to that you know are from there. >> I exactly we just said there about that Terrence and Aaron they're from their likely and in my estimation probably going to less you're charged here because if we look at the ring leader in this seems to be Lindsay he's making the request. Deterrence is the one that kind of speculate on it a little bit you know even has that tax that the thing that will wrote this I'm about to come out of retirement for this. He's flying the Baker's Bay and he's thinking about letting me fill in, but he has the kids. That's when the Daily mail. But it's said with that being said they're the ones that are kind of speculating they're the ones who didn't necessarily order anything that was never executed anything. It's kind of just discussion about is what my girlfriend said to me so I'm going to guess that the end of the day. It's not going to be looking very good really seeing probably a little bit better for parents and barren, especially with Barron's political. >> About 30 seconds left here What are you thoughts do you think. Lindsey ends up with a life or does her life end up behind bars in the Bahamas. >> I think these crimes in these foreign countries we're seeing this OK people taken ammunition to the foreign countries are serious about gun laws is serious about outsiders coming in they're committing crimes. Now her family is not Paul first they have money they don't have the money that the shoppers have but I think she's going to end the worse than the other 2 and that's just a matter home rule right and she had the motive she had the motive and she causes she provided the photo. >> I think she's not going to do well. >> Tim Jansen Tony Bruschi always great to have your insight. There were problems they were not a green and these things manifested themselves in to the point where there were disputes about custody and where the children she going who can see them and when they can see them and more than once in these disputes calls were made to law enforce and there is body cam video of what's happening there was one dispute on April 30th involving a Lindsay and Robert's parents which if you really listen to what they're saying you get a much deeper. Understanding for what is happening here. And you may get a better idea of what's going on with Lindsay at this point let's listen. >> My in laws are in the parking lot right there. >> In the white Lexus yet. I've tried to call them this is not turning on the time and have not been able to get hold of them that I was home for was for you all to come meet with me. >> Right now >> And then I get the message that they're dropping it's dropping them with his parents. It seems like she knew that everybody was going to call here. >> Well then if you wanted to get on top the things and she was the first in terms of and calling says she could probably have a report that she could use when they go to the core. This is all about control it always is when we have and cases like this that are so high on flare that are leading to divorce is. >> Do you know the 2 people. >> In this they usually believe they're owed. >> Version of the truth and the narrative that they want and to get out to the world in a scam. >> I that no matter what and what ends up half winning is they start to put themselves. First and clearly forget that there's children involved here. >> A doctor Jay let's talk about the fair itself at this point in her life there together for 30 teen years college sweethearts we know the life that they were living together really because of of him and his family. But it was a very luxurious life. Any thoughts about the choices that she made. >> When we look at their life. Yes, it may be mysterious and they look like they've had it all. But we also know that when it comes to real relation ships that that's just one dimensional so whatever was truly have happening inside that relationship, especially with and women in particular tend to have affairs sometimes there's been a long does connection even before the affair may have happened. But then we also want to consider potentially personality traits and other types of things that may have plate and the situations so we're looking at this live the land right. We also know that a lot of distorted thinking comes to the play so once someone has an affair that they almost like there's a you know layman's term to get drunk with love so to speak so they're all are doing is consuming and thinking about getting their needs met through that silo and then that when that happens a lot of people get hurt not only her husband, but her children and then become so so focused about her getting her needs met and then a lot of people get hurt in the process. >> I'm a doctor. So when you take a listen. This is Robert on that same day making a 911 call any references a conversation he had with Lindsay's mom let's take a listen. >> My wife and our going through it before but I've been going all weekend and she just. I felt my mother to bring the kids back and her mom they had to take it to the ER check for it to some Them if they think because. If they think that was kind of a midlife crisis mental breakdown. Different states. He just followed my parents. When they left the House. But find the kids that yesterday's a call for for the has set up the camera. >> Okay your parents of children with them. Their kids are one thing. >> So that you see there seems to be some concern by Lindsey zone mom here. >> So you know that's a surprise to me I think somebody with her proof Iowa and. That she is having an affair and is not worried about the consequences that is going to have for her family her life there probably was the trauma in her and ask I would suspect that there our problems in relationships growing. She appears to me to be very in the shore and I agree with the other doctor that she probably did not have her needs met. And she's trying to get them at now and all this goes together to make a profile for someone that probably is suffering from some kind of person now and a disorder, your gas before said it was narcissism I don't know if it is or is not but a lot of time you will see in these custody battles that there is a sense of entitlement and control and they want to get their needs met any cost and right now. He says they do so much work with families and children the cost is these children and when you're having an affair unfortunately, you're thinking of yourself your children. >> Jane the other part is if we presume the allegations are true and she's sending an actual text message for someone to take the life of Robert with that that that kill him a text message with a picture of if that is true. What's the process that's going on up here for someone. Not just you know going through with the divorce like the children we'll be taking care of she'll be taken care of as well 13 years your life is Will be fine your life will be very fine. Once you take that next step now you're you're introducing this level of trauma to the whole family and to your own children. >> This is where we're hearing that word narcissism thrown around right so sometimes when we see people that have these acts stream behaviors but they're not thinking about consequences and they take it very to the extreme. And that's sometimes where we would consider and look at is there possibly some type of personality disorder because this is not normal behavior. Yes, there are people that have affairs every single day. But it does not necessarily mean that this could result in them trying to take out their spouse. So we know that they get divorced and as you mentioned they could have yes a lot of stress in these types of things but we see that under the stressful situations where her husband had found that she's having an affair and her not necessarily. Probably having some level of empathy for him but almost these level of not wanting her life we can assume that one of her life to be disrupted and that's where we say the lack of coping skills and Israeli getting super focus on just for moving the problem in these extreme situations. That's where we we can suggest that there's probably other things going on with her versus just a normal way of coping with discovering of her affair. >> Doctor J says doctor Sook homeless staying with us when we come back, we'll dig in to another situation, this was the infamous video as their going away and she wants to use the private >> Where's your husband wants Lawfully situation. They're on the other hand we're hearing her sing he's called them because there's been visit altercations in the past she wasn't going to do that. You know we don't want to necessarily assume that she's cry Wolf, but sometimes in these cases when there's high entitled and and there's almost this disconnection from reality that these things can be manipulated in order to have the one up and tried to you know show some level of entitlement that she's not going to back down so on the situations that we're looking at is so dysfunctional but he does have a right to have a boundary, especially with given the situation and her kind of pushing through that wanting to still go and see her lover with disregard to it anyone else's feelings just shows the disconnection of reality and potentially how long this has been going on we see people that have such a disconnection from the consequences their behavior it's like losing because they become numb to it because it's been going. >> For a while and when you put this into. >> Context of what happens next 5 days later is when she gets arrested.
