Great Wolf Lodge Poconos PA - Full Tour Including New Expansion

Intro [Music] like [Music] Welcome back hey everybody welcome back to the channel today we're at Great Wolf Lodge here near Mount Pocono Pennsylvania and we got a 40% off coupon so we decided to stay the night check out the water park I'm going to take you guys all around the resort and on some rides and uh if they let me with the GoPro that is anyway uh we are staying here because the brand new Mountain Tower just opened back in I think it was April I'll put the right date right here if I can find it but uh this is the original part of the resort right here so we wanted to check out the new tower and there's also a 40,000 ft expansion to the water park I got my wolf ears thank you to all the patreon supporters and everyone who supports the channel links in the description I'll put a QR code up as well let's go check it out Lobby Area all right this is exciting let's go inside and check it out we'll start out here in the lobby this is the Fireside kitchen which has a really awesome looking bar I love all the drinks up in the top there and just the bar area itself looks really cozy and nice and they've got a lot of seating over there for uh food if you want to get some very nice and then directly across the hall from the Fireside is the check-in area of the lobby the line to check in was really long but if you do the pre- checkin with your phone you can just go up to the kiosk and scan yourself in and they text the room number right to your uh right to your phone and I love the uh I love the fake trees up there they're actually an LED sign that at night makes all sorts of different color patterns and um just in general is like a really cool LED display and the elevators are right behind that and at this stage on certain nights they have dance parties like last night we were here on a Friday and they had a dance party in the lobby for families and it was really awesome you know the whole thing was like a big Club Vibe but for kids if that makes any sense then you have the Buckhorn imporium right over here they got a wall full of candy that's really awesome and you can buy all sorts of souvenir toys shirts they even have a Build-A-Bear uh Workshop right over there I don't know if it's actually called build-a bear or not but it's similar in similar in the term of the activity oh look at these Paws those are so cool I'd buy some but I already have a set of elephants and then Timber's table Kitchen restaurant right over here across from that shop we were just in and this is basically uh looks like it's a buffet and there's plenty of seating over there under the uh under the fake tree so yeah yeah and then if you keep going behind the tree setup over here you have a great view of the water park from the center Lobby both wings of the original Hotel jut out and uh that's where all the original rooms are so back here is another entrance to the shop we were just in and then here is the water park through some very very dirty windows so they just open the gates to the water park and everybody is streaming right in just running as fast as they can to claim a chair I hope nobody slips all right we're going to do a 1st Floor quick walk through the first floor of the building now this is one side of the hotel starts over here the side without the Mountain Tower coming down the hall here we've got the bowling out alley it's called Ten play or tenpaw and it looks pretty cool it's like a little mini bowling alley like not a full real bowling alley but one of the modern like play [Music] ones and then this area over here is called howl at the moon it's like a uh 3D digital glow-in-the-dark Golf Course type of deal so that looks pretty [Music] awesome and then if we keep going here we've got the ice cream shop coming up on the right it's called wolf woods and crey and it's pretty nice it's got a decent amount of seating you can get woods and creamy which has ice cream and little pastries and drinks and stuff like that and then on the other end there's a Dunkin Donuts where you can get all the uh hot and cold Brews and donuts and stuff like that it's your typical Duncan establishment there's also a Dunkin Donuts in the second floor lobby of the tower worsting in the new tower there's a Hungry Wolf snack shop over here where you can get popcorn bags of snacks little uh neutr grain bars and gummies and cereal and things like that it's also very hot in that room and right across the hall from that Cafe you have the arcade which does not look nearly as big as the arcade at Kalahari but we'll take a quick look through it I saw in very interesting claw machine or some kind of game at the end where um they had a excuse me yeah sorry excuse [Music] me so yeah they have a giant claw machine called the Taj Mahal for those of you who don't know the Taj Mahal is a casino or was a casino in Atlantic City that was owned by Donald Trump and went out of business and is now the Hard Rock Atlantic City so I'll take you for a quick walk through the arcade just so you can get an idea of what they have available in here it's Extremely Loud and not as big as I expected it to be uh but they have a decent selection of games it looks like I'm going to get out of this room cuz I can barely walk so we're back in the hallway now and uh I'm going to show you what you missed around the corner here they have the Illumination Station and Magic Quest or something which basically just looks like it's a gift shop more or less Oliver's Mining Co which is like a gem experience where you mine for gold and other Precious Minerals I'm sure and they have a passage over here [Music] children under 10 must be with an adult and it's some kind of experience where you go through and pick things out and that's the end of the first floor below the main lobby and uh if you keep going down this hallway you think oh look it's short I'm going to be back at the Mountain Tower very quickly but then you turn the corner and you're sadly disappointed at how long you have to Room Tour walk [Music] hey everybody Welcome to Great Wolf Lodge here in the Poconos in PA we are in the brand new Mountain Tower we're up here on the seventh floor we'll start out right here in the bathroom you get uh all your towels you're going to need for the whole trip the toilet and a clean and nice but not fancy looking bathtub and soaps are built in so that's really awesome the lights were automatic when I walked in it turned on by itself so again this Tower is brand new I think at most it's been open like 6 months or so uh this is the sink right here uh you can put all your toiletries up here and they give you a bar of soap you got some body lotion on the wall over here these uh ears if I haven't said it already these ears were free so if you come here make sure you get these the bubble wand was $30 though so that was a bit much we booked a room with two queen beds so you got a bed for us and a bed for our kids some beautiful paintings on the wall over here got some nice lights let's see what those look like oh those are pretty nice you get a uh you get a clock radio and a phone right over here on the nightstand and two outlets down here so that you can charge your phone that's really convenient USB bu over here I believe this is [Music] a I believe this is a 50-in TV you get a mini fridge it's not like a snooby hotel bar where they charge you if you take something out totally yours to enjoy nice little uh seating area over here where you can D and eat your food they got a really awesome lamp with Wolves all over it so that's cool really cool treasure chest down here really cool treasure chest down here uh it opens I think does it open no it's just I didn't try but that couch also pulls out to be more beding yep it's a sofa bed another really cool painting with a kayak over here and then uh we got a view of the parking lot the other side faces a mountain so if you look down there the parking lot completely full the lobb's in the middle and if I haven't already said the big negative of this Tower is that it's a long walk from the water park and all the amenities in the lobby but give me my bubble but it is brand new give me my Woodland Villas so if you're feeling like being fancy you can always rent a woodland Villa and they have a little covered walkway there for you to get into the main part of the building and just like the Mountain Tower it's a very long walk to the park but I thought I'd give you guys an up close and personal look at another lodging option here at Great Wolf beautiful they do look beautiful they uh look very homey and behind here they actually have their very own street with parking on the street as well so if you're feeling fancy get a Woodland Villa there's the Waterpark Tour all right guys starting off here at the main entrance we've got a really tall entry way that goes up all four floors of the hotel and then straight ahead here we have the dump Zone with a whole tree fort apparatus in front of it very nice and then a younger younger kids area over here with mini slides and splash pad area basically this kids zone is really nice great for kids who don't want to be in a lot of water so many fun activities and several slide options now one thing I noticed is that this place is not nearly or at least it doesn't feel nearly as big as Kalahari which is kind of nice cuz there's feels like there's less people here you got the wave pool over here it's not uh it's not making waves at the moment the watering howl which is a little mini bar over there along with the bigger tube rides this is the older set of or the original I guess set of slides Alberta Falls has four different slides that um 42 in can go on with an adult or somebody over 48 in coyote Cannon same thing we did Alberta Falls it was fun then along the other side is where you can access the other rides where the family tubes get brought up for you so we went on ra River Canyon Run there's some GoPro footage from that one that's a family tube and then the other ones are also big tubes but we couldn't go on those ones with Elizabeth so it is really loud in here there's blasting music all over the place but the Aesthetics of the place are beautiful you got a lot of uh a lot of wolf theming and mountain theming in the decorations around the facility there's a toilet bow slide right over here I always like those my wife does not there's also Cabanas all over the place and they're fairly expensive if I find the rate maybe I'll put it on the screen for you guys basically the whole place is a circle you start out at the entrance you go down the path we're going down and it leads you over right now we're walking into the expansion of the facility where they have a lot more slides we got a ropes course right over here pretty awesome so in the expanded area they built a ton of new Cabanas as you can see and I don't blame them they probably make a small fortune off of them sorry if my throat is uh cracking me up here it's very hot and very dry in the facility so here's a look at one of the Cabanas you get a stack of towels a TV remote a nice sitting area a mini fridge a little dining table here for you very small TV up on top so yeah it's very nice and then here is the new part of the facility with slides all over the place looks like you've got a set of bracing slides somewhere up here I did see a drop slide I don't know if it was in this part or not but one of those ones where you you sit and you wait for the hatch to open looks like this green one's got multiple areas for you to spin around in so we've got the side Winder the wolf tail and the otter run on this side of the facility they've got a rack of life jackets for you to borrow and yes those are racing slides over there you can see the uh speed meter whatever you call those things if we keep going down the trail over here you've got got the Outpost bar and grill which looks very nice looks like you can get some slushies in here and uh alcohol as well looks like they've got mixed drinks or not uh well maybe they have mixed drinks but what I meant to say was they have beer on top and it looks like Ruffles my favorite bags of chips so yeah very nice Outpost bar and grill and then if you come out here it's the early February right now but this is what the outdoor portion looks like you have a giant ropes course over there another outdoor bar I believe this is just part of The Outpost yeah the looks like the sign broke but yes it's part of The Outpost the hotel right over there looks like another outdoor hot tub so one thing I haven't seen here is an outdoor hot tub that you can use in winter like they have at Kalahari the outdoor pool is right there so yeah overall this looks like a really nice outdoor area and this is new it's part of the expansion we'll go back in now and I'll show you guys the uh the rest of the facility so coming back around right near the Outpost bar and grill you've got a ton of seating there's a lot of places to sit a lot of lounge chairs if you have a cabana and then the last little area that I'll show you guys in the water park over here is the small pool that they have for children with basketball hoops I mean I guess you don't have to necessarily be a child to play in the pool here but it's definitely on the smaller side for kids it's not very deep restroom and splash services along with Outfitters uh something Bay I can't read the sign parade Bay Outfitters maybe and lockers the lockers uh many people have noted are insanely small although I see now they have some large ones to rent as well but it doesn't look like they have very many of those so maybe plan accordingly that you're probably not going to get a locker of substantial size we're at buckets concession stand here's a closer look at some of the pricing we're getting some food on the way out of our water uh the water park so we don't go hungry on the way home and I'm definitely going to give you guys a review of the pizza we're getting a little personal pan those fries look good probably can't tell on video but trust me they look good and you order on this little menu here so it's Hows the Pizza? interesting all right before we go I'm going to show you uh do a taste test of the pizza for you guys I had to get some it looks delicious so I wanted to try it stick around after this clip because I'm going to give you guys a ride on some of the rides uh water slides that we went [Music] down this was a personal pizza so it's a 7 in Pizza it was $1.99 and you can choose up to two options for toppings within that price and you can also choose a different sauce if you want a white sauce or pesto it's really good it actually reminds me a lot of Pizza Hut for some reason but it's it's good now let's go on some water slides no we have our thank POV waterslide rides [Applause] you I'm going to
