the last couple of years and I'm just more than happy to get the point out of that and of course I decide not to go to that one cough off because of the ticket prices and the stupid bubble but aside from that we're coming up against Southampton tonight and if you cash your mine back a couple of months ago we actually beat them thanks to a Kean Ashford screamer silencing Russell Martin which is always good to see as well coming away with two1 Victors they will go up to the Premier League and we're back facing them tonight speaking about Kean Ashford he's actually starting tonight so teams out of course I'm very happy with this team to be honest it's quite a young team we're putting out tonight as well which is always good Anakin gol K pacquio gutas Fagen walk up and Joel ban at the back with Gaden renot Ruben Kell and Raheem Con in Midfield and then I'm not sure if playing two up front or Kean Ashford in a central attacking midfielder role just pairing up there with Michael rindorf who was absolutely phenomenal against Bristol Rovers in the first round great to see him starting again on a really young bench as well Matt Turner JS to Davis Robertson MAFO Cody W Jeff Morgan wiggley and nakakura as well rounding off so great to see some young young names on the bench see how they get I got Fe in Morgan wiggley Etc can see MAFO coming on in the second half as well great to see what con and Ruben kowell can link up in the partnership developing as well with con and kakio on that one side as well hopefully r m can have another great game Ryan dorf maybe scoring his first kind of City goal and just deciding to skin every single player on that pitch in terms of Southampton it looks like they've gone for quite a young Squad as well most notably they've got Cameron Archer out tonight I know he's caused absolute chaos against us in the past as well so we really got to keep our eyes on him and and yeah it's the second round of course already playing Premier League opposition M to be fair in the last couple of years we've actually had quite an okay record against South which I'm probably speaking too soon I think we've only lost to them once in our last three four meetings um if I can remember a couple of years back we did win both of the those games in the Premier League of course but aside from that much better day than it was in the reverse fixture mine it was baking by the end of the night wasn't it and apart from that let's do it positive to get a point against Swansea hopefully we can carry that on this evening I'm slightly disappointed that there's a few not a few more senior players especially when we got an international break coming up I thought maybe even darland who was absolutely phenomenal on the weekend they could have given him another game Sur You' been fine on Saturday as well and then if he's not an international Duty which I don't think he will be then he would have a rest anyway so thought we' have had a couple of more senior players but it does give chance to the youngsters looking forward to seeing R off again see what he can do Conte Ashford gets a a chance as well this evening so hopefully can see the quality of handing I me of course incred elag but the thing is very similar to The Swansea gam a lot of similar similar things especially with the style of play Etc um all he need to do is really get on the front foot in the second half get the pace flowing forward maybe cut score a couple of goals but as Russell Martin football I say it all the time it's just dull and depressing isn't it just constant passing sideways backwards the hole Etc honestly I would rather count the LED pixels on the advertis the display that Fons W Tanner and have Russell not in touch any of any of cardi City's tactics but aside from that big off coming up a re do it what you think well both goals pretty much sliced the uh the C defensive part didn't they well taken goals bit of magic from cwell after especially from our youngsters as well the amount of changes in there and also some debuts as well uh Isaac Jeff Cody TW who I thought who nearly scored a worldy as well and there was some great performances there all around on a whole Ruben cwell absolutely incredible goal it should be a legal or even a war crime on how he wasn't included in that whale Squad by Craig Bellamy but as well as that you've also got like some Michael rindorf who up front held up the ball well um he did what he could could have pressed a little bit more but on a whole some very very good performances defense has sleep a few times but fullbacks did very well the Wingers did very well Conte had another great game so yeah nothing to be ashamed of at all from that and to be honest do we need a cup run at this time of the Season probably not we need to get some points on the board to be honest but yeah what you think I don't know Nathan if we if it means giving the youngsters a run out again then uh why not I think first half yeah it looked a bit tentative didn't we in our play but second half we really grew into the game didn't we and uh everybody on that pitch played really well yeah especially when Robertson came on he gave us um a lot more impetus a lot more Pace in the middle a little bit more muscle as well a lot more energy and that sort of spread throughout the team and we had a lot more chances second half than we did in the first half impressing them a lot more getting forward causing panic in the Southampton rear guard and 33 it could have gone either way and going into was it 5 minutes of extra time maybe we should have kept hold of the ball maybe we sniffing out for that goal to make it 43 but maybe taking it to Penal and then uh seeing what happened but it wasn't to be they got their goal and then when we were pushing for another equalizer in injury time they just carved us apart didn't they to make it five fre and the at the end but uh you got to say all of them on the pitch tonight Standing Ovation from the Cardiff Faith at the end and I don't know where this Muppet's going jeepers creepers and the Cardiff players can rightly hold their heads up high at the end and look forward to Saturday now with a a real really important game against middles bro of course most of those players on the pitch won't be involved on Saturday but hope be the lights of uh Cole Colwell and and Robertson will be involved at some stage of that that game so yeah hopefully we can pick up something on Saturday cuz we need those points we need those points absolutely and to make
