Labor Day weekend starts with risk for storms in Maryland

YEAH, THE ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION REALLY QUICKLY IS YES, WE CAN EXPECT WARMER WEATHER, BUT IT DOES COME WITH A LITTLE BIT OF A PRICE OF SOME STORMS TO PAY WITH. SO WE EXPECTING MAYBE SOME SCATTERED ACTIVITY AS WE HEAD THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. HOWEVER, TODAY IS GOING TO BE JUST THAT GLOOMY CLOUDY COOLER END TO THE WEEK. SO IF YOU ARE A FAN OF THIS COOLER WEATHER, SOAK IT IN, ENJOY TODAY BECAUSE IT ONLY LASTS TODAY. IT IS STILL KIND OF HUMID OUT THERE AND THERE MAY EVEN BE SOME MIST AND DRIZZLE OUT ACROSS. STRETCHED ACROSS OUR AREA, IT'S A LITTLE TOO FINE THOUGH TO PICK UP ON THE RADAR, SO REALLY POINTLESS TO SHOW YOU THE LIVE RADAR AT THIS MOMENT. SO JUST TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THAT THERE COULD BE SOME MIST OUT THERE. A CHANCE FOR STRONG STORMS THOUGH. AS WE MOVE INTO YOUR SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING, WE'LL SHOW YOU THAT UPDATE FROM THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER, ALONG WITH THE COOLER AND LOWER HUMIDITY. SO BOTH OF THOSE CONDITIONS EXPECTED NEXT WEEK AND FOR SEVERAL DAYS IN A ROW TO KICK OFF THE NEW MONTH. HERE WE ARE WITH SATELLITE AND RADAR, THOUGH, ADDED THE CLOUD COVER HERE SO YOU CAN SEE IT'S PRETTY MUCH WE'RE SOCKED IN WITH AN OVERCAST SKY AT THE MOMENT, AND PLENTY OF THUNDERSTORMS WELL OFFSHORE. THOSE HAVE CONTINUED TO PUSH EAST AND WILL STAY AWAY FROM US. NOT HEADED OUR WAY. OUR FUTURECAST THOUGH, MOVING THROUGH TONIGHT, I THINK WE'LL HAVE MAYBE A FEW MORE SPRINKLES. PERHAPS A PASSING VERY LIGHT SHOWER POSSIBLE THEN. LOOKS LIKE WE'LL STAY CLOUDY THROUGH THE REST OF TONIGHT INTO TOMORROW MORNING. 6 A.M. ON THE TIME STAMP HERE. WE'LL HOLD NEAR 70. MAYBE UPPER 60S TO COOL DOWN TO. AND THEN BACK IN THE 80S, FOR MANY OF US, BY THE AFTERNOON WE SHOULD ACTUALLY SEE A LITTLE BIT MORE SUNSHINE ACROSS THE AREA. WE'LL CALL IT PARTLY SUNNY FOR YOUR SATURDAY, BUT HERE COMES OUR NEXT COLD FRONT. THAT ONE IS GOING TO SWING THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING. SO FAR. THE TIMING COULD STILL CHANGE A LITTLE BIT. WHETHER IT MOVES IN A LITTLE LATER, THAT COULD ACTUALLY HINDER OUR SEVERE RISK. BUT IF IT COMES IN SOONER, CERTAINLY COULD SEE THE RISK GET UP HIGHER FOR SEVERE STORMS. FORECAST FOR TODAY, THOUGH 75. SO I'VE DROPPED OUR TEMPERATURE FROM EARLIER TODAY BECAUSE I JUST DON'T THINK WE'RE GOING TO GET THAT WARM WITH THE CLOUD COVER AND AN. EAST WIND IN PLACE. THEN WE'LL DROP MAYBE A FEW DEGREES OVERNIGHT INTO THE UPPER 60S YOUR FORECAST FOR SATURDAY AFTERNOON FEATURES 86 WARMER AND MORE HUMID, SO HERE'S THE LATEST UPDATE FROM THE STORM PREDICTION CENTER, HIGHLIGHTING PRETTY MUCH OUR ENTIRE VIEWING AREA. UNDER THAT SLIGHT RISK. AGAIN, IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE TIMING OF THIS FRONT. HOWEVER, THERE COULD BE A FEW THUNDERSTORMS THAT MAY BE ON THE STRONG TO SEVERE SIDE WITH THE MAIN RISK BEING DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND CAN'T RULE OUT SOME SMALL HAIL, MAYBE UP TO THE SIZE OF QUARTERS WITHIN SOME OF THOSE STRONGER STORMS. SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT. MAYBE KEEP YOUR EYES TO THE SKIES AS WE HEAD THROUGH YOUR SATURDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. SUNDAY AGAIN. IF THE FRONT IS STILL LINGERING BY. COULD HAVE A FEW MORE SHOWERS AROUND, BUT OTHERWISE LOOKING FANTASTIC NEXT WEEK. STILL GOING TO BE LESS HUMID AND A LITTLE BIT COOLER THAN NORMAL UPPER 70S TO AROUND 80 DEGREES. LOOKS GREAT.
