Connor has a question about it's a little news story that kind of kind of came and went pretty quickly but I think it's pretty large yeah coach a few weeks ago Kyle Shanahan kind of talked about how he offered you any role that you wanted on the San Francisco staff was there any thought there like hey might maybe I do go just be a DC for a season in San Francisco and also did any other teams or coaches reach out like hey Bill come on in you can do anything that you want even you know just go hang out on the side Washington sounds like University of Washington yeah yeah well appreciate the question but I'm just going to keep all those conversations that I had between uh any other coaches or teams or whatever just we'll keep those private I I I appreciate the conversation and you know Kyle's great I I love Kyle I have a ton of respect uh for him his dad and you know the way they coach the game what they've done for the game U I love Kyle and Mike Shanahan um and you know I I I think they do a tremendous job but uh they'll just leave our personal relationship you know aside on that one but you know I I studied them a lot and and I've learned a lot from uh from both Kyle and Mike uh they're they're they're great coaches and and their teams are great very competitive how close that was awesome answer that was press conference Bill fig that was that was uh so now on that point you don't have to tell us who but was there moments where you had to consider what you wanted to do how you wanted to do it and everything because obviously doing this particular show on Monday was a part of a decision that you had to make Monday night Manning a part of the decision you had to make and I know you want to say I think you're doing Inside the NFL with uh under and with uh doing an underdog Underdog Underdog Sports doing a show uh yeah no Inside The NFL is NFL films no yeah Inside the NFL but then you're also doing your own show I do believe as we're GNA do a podcast yeah motion detected lights obviously Washington's doing well y they National Championship people forget people forget that I mean it's a great way to save money on electricity he just gave you an answer he's given Tom he's given Tom E Curran that answer that he just gave you yeah I mean 30 to 50 times there was always a chance that something's going to happen but in that whole process of figuring out what the hell you want to do this season was there a thought of like baby just defensive coordinator again or did that road never really get get crossed Pat once you made me the offer I'm in you said draft I'm in used to Mondays on and I'm in and and that's it man that's the best offer I had and and I love that offer top Pat McAfee okay all right yeah better being on a Pat McAfee show okay all right coach sa did the same thing last year right yep yep y coach sa Mike Lombardi I mean I'm I feel part of a very select group and I appreciate the opportunity to be on with you I really do hell yeah Bill hell yeah Bill okay Bill uh we do wish we would have been able to see you as just a defense coordinator I mean that's we started thinking about you with that San Francisco 49ers defense too and it's like you don't have to deal with any other other than just drawing up plays for that def it would have been crazy to think about been the old LT days whenever you had your your down on I mean we would have been you know we we were thinking yeah W in upside down on the chalkboard right right rting upside down for another team yeah would have been old school we would appreciate it okay so the answer this year I'm just excited to be on with you really am Pat and uh AJ and the rest of the crew like you guys are awesome it was great at the draft and I look forward to the season look forward to being with you every week well we're lucky to have you oh
