Philadelphia Eagles Schedule Prediction

[Music] [Applause] it's the best way to start your NFL Sunday welcome everybody back to Sunday morning slant I'm your host Matt Watson joining alongside Luke and Pat how we doing tonight boys great good good good all right and so as you could probably tell from the title of this video slash episode as well as you know building off what we have done in the first two episodes tonight we are going to be taking the Philadelphia Eagle schedule for the 2024 and 25 season be going over their schedule to determine wins and losses if you don't know how this works there are an odd amount of us whatever has the majority will be the outcome decided and so we're going to go down the schedule and we'll see what the Eagles finish this season with the record and so I'm going to pop it up on the screen here and so if you are watching on YouTube you will see that the Eagles are three in one so we have already done the commanders and the Giants so without you know giving away what we do in those episodes feel free to check those out uh you can kind of see where we decided on a couple of these games so uh yeah the Eagles are going to open up on a Friday night in Brazil against the Green Bay Packers and which is technically a home game but it is not a home game um weird scheduled Choice by the NFL but we're going to get into some Prime Time game stuff later on in the summer um so we're going to start the Green Bay Packers at the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil Pat you have not done an episode yet in season 4 I'll kick things off with you here Birds and the pat who do you have winning in week one God what a what a cool game honestly what a cool concept to be playing in Brazil for week one uh the fact that it's on peacock is kind of disappointing but um honestly this is a really tough matchup I think to start the season I think the Packers have a really great young core um but I mean I gotta pick the birds it's it's week one I think there's been a lot of offseason stuff surround in the Eagles and I think Jaylen Herz needs to come out swinging and come out strong to just kind of put away all of that uh all that negative energy that the the media has been stirring up around the team over the last couple months and so I think he's gonna come out with a chip on his shoulder I you know I don't really know that we're gonna be able to anticipate what the atmosphere is like um but I think that if you're talking about playing in loud stadiums I mean talking about playing in Philly so uh I gotta pick the Eagles got to go with the hometown favorite that's who I'm going to be rooting for in Brazil but I think it's going to be I think it's going to be a really good game so I'm excited all right Pat has the Eagles Luke you could be the deciding factor here Packers at the Eagles opening night in Brazil what do you got see this one's tough they're in Brazil isn't this game supposed to be at like a high elevation or am I tripping that I don't know is this kind of like a Mexico City kind of I don't believe it's as if it is in an elevation I don't believe it's as elevated as Mexico City is it in sou Paulo it is in sou Paulo so I mean it is it's a for two for two green teams that aren't allowed to wear green very interesting they're allowed to wear green they are allowed to okay they are yes they allowed to wear their colors you know I they're playing 2400 I have always underestimated the Packers you know I like Jordan love he's he's done lot so far within his year of play time um the thing is they don't really have a number one wide receiver and so I feel like that's really gonna hold them back and while they do have a stud in Jer Alexander I feel like Eric Stokes is gonna have a big bounce here today or this year um Quay Walker's a stud I just you know I kind of talk myself into it I think the Packers do beat the Eagles I'm not going to lie I feel like it's gonna be a really close game it could sway either way but you know I feel like I I got a set with the Packers here all right so it's one-1 Packers and the Eagles I get the deciding vote here and I'm going to go with the Packers um not for any other reason than I just really like what I saw from them the second half of the last season they kind of caught fire at the right time and they got really hot heading into the playoffs the you know the playoff went in Dallas where they went in and absolutely smoked the Cowboys nobody saw that one coming as a seven seed I believe um and then they play the 49ers in the following round obviously the ners made it to the Super Bowl but Green Bay played a very competitive game and it's very young Squad especially offensively in Green Bay it was Jordan love's first playoff start a lot of those young wide receivers hadn't played in the playoffs before and so I mean and one of the things that I like about the Packers was their addition of Josh Jacobs to their backfield uh they kind of they've been running the Aaron Jones and uh AJ D yeah AJ Dylan backfield the last couple years decide to go with the bcal and Josh Jacobs a little bit of a grounded pound and then you have Jordan love who can air it out to these young receivers and while they might not have a number one I think they have a lot of good depth all around I feel like at any given moment one of those guys can have a great game uh and then you know kind of facing the Eagles we talked about a little bit off camera the Eagles have a very new defense in a lot of ways uh they lost Fletcher Cox they have a very young um cornerback core you have Darius Slay leading the charge but you drafted to top two picks for Corners you have like key Ringo coming back who was coming to his second year uh so I feel like there's a lot of inexperience new defensive coordinator Vic fangio so I feel like it's a Packers team that we already know what to expect and they went out and made an addition versus an Eagles defense which was not very good last year I believe it was like last in the league in terms of pass like pass defense and you're going to get a Jordan love who is going to come out swinging so I'm going to go with the Packers uh giving the Eagles a week one loss but I think like you guys said it's going to be a good game overall all I just kind of like what the Packers have built versus what the Eagles are aiming to rebuild so that's where I'm going to go with this one I see Pat Shake in his head but I mean it's fair it's fair I think that this first week is going to be a tone Setter for the entire season uh you know I admittedly hadn't really thought about the fact that this is kind of a brush the dust off kind of game for the Green Bay Packers but for the Eagles this is like a brand new let's figure out what we're doing um and all of a sudden we got to do it overseas in Brazil um and so I think this is going to be a tone Setter I mean I look down the rest of the Slate for the Eagles going into the rest of the season I am honestly fully convinced this might be their hardest opponent of their entire schedule like looking down and looking at the names on this list I'm not super impressed with what I'm seeing and so I think that this game against Green Bay is really going to be kind of telling of what we're going to be in for and really set the tone for the season so fingers crossed for sure all right so we're g to slide the week two Monday Night Football the actual home opener for the Philadelphia Eagles and they get Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons that'll be cousins second game in Atlanta assuming you know he's coming into the Year healthy and stuff like that so Luke I'll start with you here uh Kirk Cousins on a prime time Monday night football game in Philadelphia week two who do you like in this matchup it's Prime Time Kirk um you know I like the Falcons I feel like they've got a lot to show but with that being said you know I got got to go with the Eagles here I just I think the Eagles are allaround good team um and I feel like they don't have many weaknesses besides that defense and I know later in the season the their defense is Canna start clicking a lot more but you know I feel like you know the Falcons just have more weaknesses than the Eagles and that's that's plain and simple that's fair padle go to you here Falcons at the Eagles who do you like yeah I'm not going the Falcons I'll tell you that I'm taking the birds all day it's Prime Time Kirk I just looked up a St that said he's seven and 22 in like Monday Night Football or prime time appearances so there there is no way that Kirk Cousins on an Atlanta Falcons team comes into the link and and takes the home opener away from the Eagles on prime time on Monday Night Football it's just not happening all right so the Eagles are GNA win I would have also picked the Eagles in that one I just think they're a better overall Squad I think Atlanta's offense will be fun but I'm not sure defensively how well they'll Stack Up this year so they might have to score a lot of points to win games kind of like what we saw with Kirk Cousins in Minnesota so definitely be interesting to see that fit but uh going to go with the Clean Sweep of the Eagles here uh bringing to week three their first quote unquote Road game uh despite the fact that they traveled all the way down to Brazil and they are in New Orleans to play the Saints it is a one o00 start uh I'll kick things off here I like the eagles in this match up the Saints always play the Eagles pretty tough but I'm not very confident in the Saints as an overall unit they still have Derek car as their quarterback uh it's kind of just the same team that we've seen in years's past with the Saints like there's just not a lot different going on in New Orleans so uh I think the Eagles have a better overall Squad so I'm going to go with them to get a week three win uh Pat I'll run it back to you here uh Birds Saints week three who do you like you know this one is uh I agree with you I think this one's going to be a little bit more tough than we envision or that we might guess um but I I just don't have a whole lot of faith in Derek Carr uh and his ability to produce offensively I feel like Derek Carr is one of those quarterbacks that he's just going to keep bouncing around from Team to team and we're going to see some offensive production and he might take you to what like a seven and 10 record but I just don't see him really as a Difference Maker on this team but it's weird as I look down this like depth chart I think you're right it feels like a lot of these players have been on the Saints for a long time or that we're just seeing the same roster kind of produced um honestly one of the things to kind of keep an eye out for is Cam Jordan and Chase young kind of combo on that defense um something to maybe worry about but I really don't see the Eagles dropping this but I think it's going to be way closer than it probably should be um just because you know again we're gearing up for the season we're trying to get all the uh all the mess out of the way and uh and and try to Gear Up This offense and defense the best way we can all right Luke anything to add to that matchup yeah you know it's going to be the Eagles but it'll definitely be a a close game um you know I think the Saints have some Firepower like you said it's just been the same team that they've been rolling out for the last couple years and it is a good team but that's all it is just a good team all right so the Eagles uh are now two and one through week three but as you can see by the uh record that we have up on the screen there five- two overall based on some of the other matchups we have picked so heading into week four they in Tampa Bay for a rematch of the Wild Card round last year where the Bucks beat the the Eagles in Tampa Bay the Eagles obviously beat Tampa early in the season so uh little bit of a revenge on the mind for the Eagles um Luke I'll go to you here birds at the Bucks do the Eagles get their revenge or does Tampa Bay take another win yeah Eagles get their Revenge they get Devon white on this team um it's just they're two different teams than what they were um the Buccaneers they had to form together and like mesh and try and figure everything out and while they have figured it out now I feel like by this point of the season the Eagles defense is gonna kind of start you know learning off of each other and and they're gonna have that chemistry um so yeah I think the Eagles are it's pretty decisive here all right Pat I feel like I know which way you might lean here but thoughts on the buck and Eagles you know this one's really tough because to me like the eagles seeing the Bucks this early into their season is not a great thing because I think they might treat the Bucks like the boogeyman I think what's going to happen is they're going to over prepare they're gonna overthink we're g to see one of those games where the Eagles just beat themselves um because they're just so like the mentality in the locker room is we need to take revenge we got to go out there we got to plan for these guys we look pathetic the last time we played them and I think the Eagles are going to over plan and over prepare which I feel like they're known for um and it hurts me so bad to say this but I think that they might drop this matchup uh just because like the whole narrative surrounding the whole week is going to be about the last time they played and um they head right into their buy right after this right yeah so um I just feel like this is going to be one that they overthink they over prepare and then they're going to lose and then all during the bye this is just going to be something that drags them down um and that hopefully motivates them for the next week but I could see it really going bad really quickly and Baker Mayfield always has like one of those weirdly good games against us it's just like it's just his thing I feel like all right so it's a split decision here I'm also gonna go with Tampa um and my reasoning forward is how I kind of mentioned in that Packers game where you have the same Packers offense for the most part coming back into play against a young and inexperienced Eagle secondary who have not played together I feel like it's the same with Tampa Bay we saw the bucks for lack of a better term Shred the eagle secondary in the playoff game uh and they've brought back Mike Evans and Chris Godwin with Baker Mayfield so it's pretty much you know the same unit in that sense um you're gonna have Mike Evans and Chris Godwin assuming they're healthy obviously we're doing this months in advance but the idea is that you're gonna have these two top wide receivers going against the secondary darus slay is going to cover one of them who's going to cover the other eagles have a lot of options but we don't necessarily know who their number two is going to be heading into the year so I like Tampa in a low scoring kind of slug them out maybe win by a field goal type of game I do think that their defense again is going to be really good we saw last year that Jaylen Herz did not handle the blitz well against Tampa Bay in the postseason does kellmore have a fix for that we're going to find out but if I'm Tampa Bay I'm rolling back the same strategy I had last year in the postseason because it worked so it's going to be one of those things where you have to the Eagles have to prove that they can beat them and I like Tampa in this matchup although I don't like Tampa overall but that'll be a different episode so all right after four weeks the Eagles would be in theory two and two heading into their Buy and they will be hosting the Cleveland Browns in week six and a one o'clock start in Philadelphia Luke I'll kick this one off with you here Browns at the birds who do you like in this matchup I'm going birds all the way they're coming off of of by and I don't think the Browns are anything special they have a great defense but that's about it they have a they're just a bunch of bums and I could say some other names on the offense but you know Nick chub great running back who knows what's gonna happen with his knees um they got massage Watson who's garbage ever since what 2019 in Houston um they have Amari Cooper who's decent uh I like in joku but he's just an athlete overall I think the Eagles they're going to have their number and and it's a very easy win for the Eagles all right I'll take this one here I'm also going to go with the Eagles I think the bye gives them a chance to reset um I do think I think the Browns are going to be really good this year I think they might have the best defense in all football heading into the season they have an absolute just they have talent everywhere and I really like what the Browns have assembled on offense if Nick chub can kind of return even like 85% of his you know his form I feel like that's just a huge win for them um so overall I think the Eagles win this matchup I do think they bounce back after the buy so we're gonna give the Eagles the victory here Pat was there anything that you wanted to add regarding that probably not I would have picked the birds too um just that I'm more afraid of Dorian Thompson Robinson than any of the other quarterbacks on their depth chart so fair enough stud something to watch out for um okay so week seven we already determined that the Giants would beat the Eagles in met life in the Sequon Barkley returned to New York uh Pat you missed out on that discussion so we're heading into week eight where the Eagles will then play at a 425 I'm assuming this is fox's game of the week Eagles at the Cincinnati Bengals Pat I'll let you start here Joe burrow presumed healthy against Jaylen Herz and the Eagles who do you like in this matchup let me see my piece real quick there is no way that the Eagles are losing in metti there's just no way that the Eagles especially after the Giants documentary that just dropped there is no way that the Eagles are dropping that game uh but anyway um C night Bengals man little bit of a scary team Joe burrow really don't know if he's gonna be healthy I know that we're presuming that he's going to be healthy but I don't know man like I feel like everybody's been on this Joe burrow hype train for the last few years and I get it like he's an elite QB but I don't rank him in the top five QBs in the league currently like he's just not to me he just he had a special year he did great things but I'm not really on the Joe burrow hype train um Jamar Chase obviously Elite wide receiver but you know I think people are starting to kind of figure out the Bengals over time and I'm not confident that Joe burrow can stay healthy for an extended period of time and I think that you know when he gets hurt when he shows signs of injury we've seen them just keep him out because he's the franchise quarterback you obviously want to keep him healthy but I don't know we might be seeing a lot of Jake Browning this year like it just might happen so I'm not super confident um I am going to take the Eagles because I think that this is going to be like their first tough win you know like this is going to be the one that cements it this going to be a confidence Builder um you can go and and beat the Bengals and then you set yourself up for a pretty nice pretty nice uh play down the stretch so all right Pat's going with the birds Luke who do you like in this matchup you know I feel like I have to go with the Bengals here um they just have some studs at wide receiver they got T Higgins on the uh franchise tag Jamar Chase uh I think who was who was it they drafted Jermaine Burton right I'm not quite sure they drafted a guy who's presumably gonna be playing at this point in the season um they have Mike aeki and they have a pretty decent o line now or orando Brown Trent Brown um just a bunch of guys who could actually protect Joe burrow at this point Zach Moss is going to be a toss up uh he had a great year with the Colts but the Colts have a great line so you would expect nothing less so it's just how this pass blocking line can do when it comes to run blocking um yeah I feel like they have a great defense uh definitely top 15 I would say uh Trey Hendrickson and Sam Hub definitely two underrated combo of uh pass rushers um cam tayor BRD and and Mike Hilton definitely gonna lock down and I'm it's unfortunate to say that but I think they have a pretty decent secondary um but I yeah I think I think the the Bengals win okay uh since it's a one-1 split I'm also good go with Cincinnati here uh just kind of echoing the statements I had about the Bucks game and the Packers game I just think that star wide receivers are going to be able to have their way with the Eagles uh until the Eagles can really determine who their top guys are going to be and so Jamar Chase and T Higgins are better than Mike Evans and Chris Godwin and they're better than any pack the Packers would be putting out there uh assuming Joe Barrow is healthy if Joe burough stays healthy the entire season the Bengals are going to be a Super Bowl Contender they'd probably be in the top three or four in terms of Super Bowl odds and I think that they could make a run but it's because burrow hasn't been healthy that they've been inconsistent at best and so that and why they make the playoffs last year so I'm going to go with Cincinnati here uh beating the Eagles in Cincinnati so through week eight the Eagles would be let's see two- two three- two they def fall to three and four after this loss to Cincinnati but then they host the Jacksonville Jaguars the following week on Sunday Night Football uh I'll kick things off here I think the Eagles get a bounce back and a victory over Trevor Lawrence and Doug Peterson I don't hold a lot of stock in the Jaguars we' saw this matchup last year I believe um and it was last year two years ago but regardless the Eagles kind of just had an answer for Trevor lawence I feel as though he hasn't broken out quite the way everybody expected he was highly touted as the number one ofall pick and I think he's just been an above average NFL quarterback um and in terms of offense I I just I look at the Jaguars as a a solid team but nothing kind of really stands out to me I think the Eagles have a better squad on paper they'll be home it'll be Sunday Night Football it's I don't want to say it's a must-win game but when you're you know you have a losing record at this point of the year you're at home prime time this is a game that you kind of have to win so I'm going to go with the Eagles here and I'll throw it over to Pat for his his thoughts on this one yeah I agree I got the birds winning this one sort of a similar sentiment Trevor Lawrence is is another one of those guys that I feel like was super heralded when he came in I know had some had injury trouble and and whatnot but he's just not a quarterback that scares me like you know like a Daniel Jones that quarterback scares me right but a Trevor Lawrence yeah a Trevor Lawrence does not really Inspire much fear in my heart it's like okay Trevor Lawrence like yeah I guess he can like throw Slants and I guess he can occasionally put the ball down the field but I just don't see him as a quarterback that's a super differen maker and then when you look down the rest of their like depth chart like etan's good right Gabe Davis is pretty good but then you have like Evan Ingram who yeah he can catch I guess and you have like Christian Kirk who I feel like lets me down every single fantasy season so I'm just really not high on this team I feel like the Jacksonville Jaguars are probably just going to be like a perennial like eight- nine team maybe nine and eight maybe they finish positive but um I don't think the Eagles lose this game I think they're going to be I think this might be a kind of a blowout hopefully all right uh Luke anything to add to this one nothing to add I agree all right so the following week is another Sunday match up 425 probably America's game of the week on Fox the Eagles at the Dallas Cowboys so we haven't obviously haven't done the Cowboys yet so we are not sure what the record's going to be heading into this matchup but um Luke I'll start with you here birds at the boys big spot Eagles coming off a big win presumably on Sunday Night Football who do you like in this one usually I would want to say the birds but the fact that the Cowboys are at home I have to give it to them um but either way I'm I'm the next time they play on week 17 it's going to be the birds I think they split it's a fair assessment Pat who do you like in this one and why is it the Eagles uh the birds absolutely the Philadelphia Eagles there's not a single chance that I would ever pick the Dallas Cowboys for pretty much anything except for last in the NFC East um but I like every I see all this dialogue on Twitter about Jaylen Herz about Dak Prescott being better than Jaylen herdz and it's just absolutely ridiculous it's you know what I'd rather have Carson Wentz on my team to Dak Prescott okay I'm gonna be 100% honest I would rather have Carson want on my team than Dak Prescott Dak Prescott is arguably the most overrated quarterback in the entire league people see him put up terrible performances every year and they're like but Dak threw for however many yards he threw for however many meaningless touchdowns to CD lamb whatever blah blah blah no I don't care I don't care about this Cowboys team I think they're going to lose at home I think it's going to demoralize them and I hope that they're at the bottom of the NFC East when we play them um so we can just so we could just keep him at the bottom honestly um Dak Prescott h Ezekiel Elliott are we for real right now come on they did bring back Zeke yes CD lamb good receiver good receiver um Jake Ferguson honestly a really great tight end um so they'll probably be a touchdown of CD lamb and a touchdown of Jake Ferguson in there and that's maybe all they get so um yeah that's that's where I'm going to leave it and then uh Michael Parsons if you ever want to come to the Philadelphia Eagles more than happy to have you all right I would also go with the Eagles in this matchup I think they get a little bit of a heater after that win against Jacksonville they get a win against the Cowboys and then the following week on Thursday Night Football they get a win against the Washington commanders I have to say commanders because last episode somebody was very upset that I called them the commies so um following that so the Eagles are now on a three-game win streak um if we take out the two games at the end of the season they're six and four at this point but we we of course know the outcomes for two more of those games so they're eight and four overall 4- one in the division which could be a very uh a deciding factor in terms of the NFC East so they're coming off a mini buy and they're playing the Los Angeles Rams in Los Angeles for Sunday Night Football so another Prime Time spot for the Eagles um I'll kick things off here I think the Eagles get another win I think at this point they're really rolling think they've really gotten things figured out and while I do like the Rams I I will be you know I was on record last year saying the Rams would make the playoffs and they did so you're welcome Rams Fans but uh I think the Rams are a solid Squad but I think the Eagles are better and at this point in the year I think the Eagles are just firing on all cylinders and they're playing great football kind of unlike what we saw last year where they had played their best football up until the Midway point of the season and started to slow down I think this is where you start to see them heat up so I'm going to go with the Eagles over the Rams in this matchup uh Luke I'll throw it over to you here Eagles at the Rams Sunday Night Football who do you like I'm gonna go with the Eagles here I do like the Rams as well but you know the Eagles get the long by um yeah I just think they're the better team but I do think it's going to be really really close like a field goal all right Pat anything to add there honestly I I have to be realistic I have known the Eagles my whole life as a team that overthinks when they have too much time to do so and I think that they're actually going to be at a disadvantage having more time in between games um I would probably pick the Rams for this game they have two Elite wide receivers still in Cooper cup and pukan deua and Matthew Stafford who throws the ball to both of those guys so um I actually would probably pick the Rams in this in this matchup which hurts me to say but the Eagles again overplay and overthink Matthew Stafford's wife throws the ball to to the other team's quarterback uh maybe that's a yeah that's a different episode uh backups beware so okay so we have the Eagles winning four in a row here and then they head to Baltimore to play the Ravens at a 425 game again presumably game of the week here uh Luke I'll kick things off with you as a AFC North fan uh Ravens hosting the Eagles who do you like in this matchup I'm gonna have to go with the Ravens here I think they have the better defense and just the better offense um Lamar Jackson he is him he has shown that he is him he does it with his arm with his leg um you know it's the second year for their W star wide receiver um yeah I just think they're gonna be firing on all cylinders all right let's go with the Ravens Pat Uh I gotta go with the Eagles here because I just looked at the Ravens depth chart and Nelson aalor is their wide receiver three um so I don't have a whole lot of confidence in the passing game and I think that the Eagles historically have been great at stopping the Run um and so I know that Lamar Jackson is a super talented quarterback um and can run a lot but I don't think he is running as much as he did part of his career I think it's the same thing that's happening with Jaylen Herz where get a big contract and they the team wants to protect their franchise QB so they tell him to stop running as much um to protect himself but I honestly have faith in the big boys on the Philadelphia Eagles to stop Derrick Henry um and God I hope we're better at making tackles in the open field this year than we were last year uh that's that is honestly going to be the Difference Maker in this matchup but uh I don't think that Nelson AG will catch a single pass all right bold prediction there uh Mason might disagree with you but that's uh that's for another time to tell that tale so I'm going to go with the Ravens is in this matchup uh the Eagles are going to be coming off winning four in a row um the Ravens are going to be a top tier opponent assuming Lamar Jackson stays healthy I kind of feel like the with the entire AFC North you could say as long as their quarterback stays healthy they'll be very competitive um I I like the Ravens a lot this year I don't know who I have in my Super Bowl yet but they're definitely on the top of my list if I were to pick the you know pick a matchup right now I really love Baltimore I think the addition of Derrick Henry while he's probably not the prime Derrick Henry we're gonna be accustomed to I still think what he has left in the tank is going to work so well with Lamar Jackson you're gonna have to respect the run which is going to open up you know passing Lanes four two really solid receivers and then Mark Andrews who's a very great um receiving tight end so I like Baltimore in this matchup Eagles going to cool down a little bit with that loss um but I think overall they're they're sitting in a pretty good spot here so the following week the Eagles will host stop you right here but one thing that I looked up Derrik Henry has played two games versus the Eagles 2018 and 2022 he has 19 attempts on 54 yards which is crazy no touch yes sir true uh and while that might be true I would also like to point out that the Titans have never had a passing game and I think the Eagles you know while they have a still a very solid defensive line they did lose Fletcher Cox who is a you know an All Pro Caliber player so that could you know be the difference in that one but overall uh I agree yeah he hasn't had success against the Eagles but I don't think the Titans have had much success overall anyway so I'll throw that out there uh but yeah week 14 the Eagles will host the Carolina Panthers in a one o00 matchup does anybody have anything nice to say about about the Panthers their Stadium's kind of cool there you go so the Eagles are going to win in week 14 I I don't think I watched them score zero points against the Buccaneers in the last game of the season last year awesome Carolina might not win a game when we do our predictions but uh yeah so uh the Eagles winning week 14 uh including the week 16 week 18 matchups they are 10 and five at this point they then host the Pittsburgh Steelers at home in a 4 25 matchup uh so I have a Steelers fan with me and I have an Eagles fan with me um so I will start with the Steelers fan here Luke your boys are on the road in Philadelphia who do you like in this matchup while I do think that the Eagles or the Steelers are gonna have a good season I have to go with the Eagles here um I it all depends on what Russ can do or what Justin Fields can do like that's going to be the X Factor this entire season for the Steelers but either way they have a great defense but I don't think that their midlevel offense if Russ isn't playing well is going to be able to stick with the Eagles here um and it's it's unfortunate but I would like to go to this game if anyone wants to go um but I'm not paying for $0000 for that but you guys enjoy $400 watch Steelers I doubt it uh it's an eagles home game my friend they're and Pittsburgh's local so I feel like price is gonna be high so okay uh Pat you are the Eagles fan what do you like I am I am the Eagles fan what you failed to say at the start of this segment is you have an Eagles fan a Steelers fan and a Russell Wilson fan with us not my problem anymore you're the biggest Russell Wilson fan I know with that being said said you have to pick the Eagles because I look at this Pittsburgh Steelers depth chart and there's not a single guy that I would rank top 15 in his position what I think that when I look at this offensive this offensive depth chart there's not a single guy that I would be like yeah that's a Difference Maker right there oh I mean the offense I mean we okay you're gonna okay you're going to bring up TJ I get top 10 tight end uh aside from that no I don't I don't I mean Naji Harris is a topning not that no I'm sorry he he is constantly produced top Harris can't run for 15 yards in one rush brother brother he has how many thousand yard seasons in the past what this team there's not a good player on thisam 3,000 yard season there is not a good player on this team Russell Wilson Naji Harris the defense has Dan Jefferson you have quz Watkins and Scotty Miller bro that's where qu Watkins ends it up hey the Steelers yeah he's their second no technically he's their fifth string wide receiver based on this um yeah DOL this will be this will be the first time that the Steelers in a long time go under 500 look at that defense top three cornerback in Joey Porter Jr what are you guys going to be Iowa who's your kicker uh Chris Boswell yeah punter is um I actually have no clue who Cameron Johnson is you're so fake for not knowing who Cameron joh not this is not a punter podcast might I throw in there Cameron Johnson used to be the Steelers punter did he not he used to be yes was did I say Ste I meant say yeah the Eagles are going to win this game they're probably going to win by 52 points um it yeah yeah I I would take the Steelers plus 52 but yeah I agree I like the eagles in this matchup uh we know week 16 the Eagles would beat the commanders in Washington leaving us week 17 the Cowboys at the Eagles in a rematch uh the Eagles would have beaten Dallas earlier in the season at this point the Eagles are 11 and five probably battling for first place at the NFC East at this point this matchup here might determine the division um I'm going to start it off I like the Cowboys in this game I am a fan of division splits I've made that very vocal in the last couple episodes and at this point the Eagles are four in one in the division um and I don't believe I believe they were three and three in the division last year I'd have to double check on that but uh I like I like division splits I don't like picking a sweep if I can avoid it I like Dallas in this matchup uh to get even with the Eagles um and so I going to go with the Cowboys Pat's shaking his head and I already know his answer so Luke you did allude to it earlier I wanted to see if you're could stand Pat with it do you like the Cowboys in this match up over the Eagles no you gotta go with the Eagles here they're at home and they're they're plowing through right now and uh yeah I I already said it's gonna be the Eagles all right and I'm Pat I presume you're going to pick the Eagles here so absolutely Dallas Cowboys are perennial chokers they always will be um and there's just no chance they come an AFF filian win well they do it a lot but well I digress all right so uh I tried Cowboys fans so the Eagles will win in week 17 finishing with a 12-5 record 5- one overall in the division likely is going to be good enough for them to win the NFC East this year they obviously finished second last year and that's why we did them third in you know in terms of the NFC east teams so the Eagles will be sitting at 12 and five if we take a look uh like I said 5-1 in the division 9-3 in conference play 8-1 at home 4-4 on the road their one home loss is against the Packers in Green Bay so our picks are saying the Eagles will not lose at Lincoln Financial Field this season uh you can't you can't look at the winning and loss records because all the teams haven't been filled out yet on obviously so same with playoff teams so okay so we have the Eagles sitting at 12 and five for the season just a look around the NFL at this point the Packers and Bears are 1 and0 the Vikings are 0 and one we have not had a Lions game the Cardinals and Seahawks are 1-0 the Rams are 0 And1 we have not had a ners game Eagles are of course 12-5 Cowboys are three and three so they split their division games uh in theory but they lose to the Eagles so um we will be doing the Cowboys with our next episode The commanders are 7-10 and then the Giants are 4 and 13 the Bucks are two and one the Falcons are 1- two the Saints are 1- two and the Panthers are 0 and3 we did not touch the AFC West or the AFC East yet the Colts 1 and0 Jaguars 0 And1 Titans and one and then the AFC North which just getting a lot of rub early on Bengals 3 and0 Ravens 3 and0 Steelers
