Philadelphia Eagles vs Green Bay Packers Live Score | NFL WEEK 01 | Eagles Vs Packers

e e e e e huh what about taking a photo and reimagining it man remember when all phones pretty much did the same stuff until they didn't get the allnew Google pixel 9 Pro phones at Google store.com I'm thinking black Vegas right here in the LM I see see Atlanta that's black Mecca we build our houses and our businesses and we become Kings HS doesn't again this is football night in America served by [Applause] Applebees oh yeah so American football meets Brazilian fuch ball that is how soccer's reference down here in the late great P he got the chance to meet Broadway Joe in New York one of the best soccer players of all time he left Brazil in 1975 to play for the New York Cosmos you guys weren't even born yet that's right P got us thinking about one name NFL Stars how about some running backs Bo Barry EMT Tiki coach we got another on the field tonight sequan yes we do saquan Barkley coming here to Philadelphia he is a great football player I think think he's going to bring some attitude back to the eagles they got away from their running game last year he's not going to allow that and the other thing he's going to do he's going to help those receivers because they going to have to gang up on him to stop the run I had an opportunity to talk to Josh Jacobs and he absolutely loves Green Bay he said he hasn't been used this way I I expect him Coach to get a lot of usage out of the U passing game catch the ball out of a passing game out of the back field and run in between the tackles on Green Bay defense I'm looking at ER Stokes I think he's going to be a key tonight they're going to play a lot of man coverage they're going to Blitz a lot zier Alexander on the other side is a great player and uh he's going to get a lot of action and activity here looking forward to seeing CJ Gardner Johnson he's a playmaker he brings personality energy toughness to the secondary he's a guy he talks a lot of trash he plays extremely physical and he'll definitely be a Difference Maker tonight Jack and the Eagles as well it's old franchise to use their first two draft picks on DBS and that's exactly what Philly did you feel like this has become a strength that secondary don't think I don't think it's like anything weird or anything like that I mean when you draft two the two best DBS in college football I think the secondary automatically gets better you add CJ Gardner Johnson you have Darius Slay avonte Maddox with coach fangio and the discipline that he brings I think they're going to be out I think they're going to be a lot better I would say yeah I was at the Eagles practice last week and Darius Slay told me he is so excited now Vic vanio has brought discipline he's brought accountability he's brought aggressiveness they're going to be more physical he is really really excited when you have a new defensive coordinator it always feels good because you have a clean slate you can go out there and you can prove yourself and I think that's a great opportunity for these young guys I saw him out there Cooper deine the way he was moving quinan Mitchell these these young men they're special and they're going to be excellent football players it was interesting too to watch Cooper deine getting used to this field he was going through a warmup slipped a couple times took his cleats off put on new cleats and he looked a little more comfortable but you never had to worry about that with the Packers because this is their this is their field so they already come out with 3/4 Ines they are they're used to it and it will not be an easy start for this Eagles defense they're going to face one of the hottest quarterbacks to end last season and Jordan love and Maria she visited Lambo field to learn more about the young star all right Jordan so what I usually do obviously when you know you're going to do an interview the first thing is Hop on social media and try to learn more about people which I learned that you don't post that much no but I did have fun going through some of the pictures what comes to mind first oh great day great day right there sign that contract um yeah blessed did I hear the story right that you were 56 going into high school yeah freshman year 56 like 135 lb 14 pound I was one of the smallest people on my team freshman year high school and now what 64 now 64 225 like I have picture freshman year the senior year imagine being a starter this is so yeah it's Wifey right there very blessed to have her in my life I proposed this offseason and she's not fiance now so she's incredible what's the back story can you tell me the how you guys met so my roommate in college they went to high school together and they were best friends so he would FaceTime her I'd be in the background he' be like yo say what's up to my boy right here and it started off slow just saying what's up and then you know i' started taking the phone and we have our little one-onone conversations and literally the rest is history mhm okay well I feel like I wouldn't have been doing my job accordingly if I didn't invite Veronica oh wow what's up come on read it read it read it that was so cute wow what a surprise what a surprise yes never heard him say the story so it was fun do you agree with the story did he get it right did he get it right that's funny you guys set me up got you wow all right Ronica you heard his story I kind of want to hear yours and what Drew you to Jordan we had always joked around about meeting up I told him as you know I'm a true 62 guys like to be like Oh I'm 64 and then be here he passed the height check and then after that we were playing horse mini golf I beat him and both obviously yeah I left here shooter I don't remember all that Jordan who's the better athlete better athlete yeah oh me for sure me for sure uh yeah walk me through the engagement because the video is amazing I don't remember what he said he doesn't remember what he said blacked out for sure and he did his thing more n racking playing in Lambo proposing to her I say proposing that was that was that was pretty intense you're prepared for the season now and now I'm ready for the season and now you're ready for the season instantly one of my favorite interviews ever Ronica Stone also her dad played for 12 years in the NFL like the pedigree is all there but he chose the right one so I feel like she's got him on the right yeah their baby probably going to look like your baby your baby's 8 months my son's 3 years old it's a close competition and hide and waight so yeah creating that kind of animal de catfished us he also said he was 6'2 and that's why we brought him on this show and here we are here we are all right we talked about Jordan love being a late bloomer we the five six going into high school I kind of feel like even in the season last year it was a microcosm of Late Bloomer it took him some time to really get into the Rhythm and and at the end of the season he was amazing that's like me and Jordan love we're similar Late Bloomer got here you guys were kind of shocked it worked out well for Jordan love that's what the season was and what I'm looking forward to see this year the maturity on how you handle all of this before everyone had question marks can you follow Aaron Rogers can you do this can you do that he came and delivered and he did it now everybody's expecting this team possibly to be in a Super Bowl that's a lot to take on so I want to see how he handles it what does he do he seems really focus when you get the right woman by your side a lot of things work out for you there you go when you make good decisions off the field you make great decisions on it uh and you can see exactly how much growth he certainly had between the as the season progressed from 3 and six to 7 and three Sim we saw some growth that was kind of unprecedented but it was fun to watch in this young star it was fun you guys said it right I mean early on in the year last year there was struggles for Jordan love there's no doubt about that but as the year went on and especially Thanksgiving it's like Green Bay and the coaches said hey it's time to sink or swim we got to see if this guy can go to the next level and start carrying us as a football team and he did that he ended up with the second most touchdown passes in all of football first off off schedule plays yes he can do that and he doesn't run to run he runs to find a place to throw the football the other thing I love about this guy he just does not flinch in the pocket he will stand in there to the very last second doesn't care if he's going to get hit and he's going to be aggressive and throw the ball down the field they're an aggressive passing football team then here's Next Level stuff kind of recognizes the secondary knows it's going to be a team then here's Next Level stuff kind of recognizes the secondary knows it's going to be a blitz gets the the protection all organized and then throws a beautiful ball in the back of the end zone against the cow the wild second half of the he has second half of the Year Marie and Devon and I think that'll continue this year we got to get to him we can't just get pressure we got to sack him and make sure we take him down with the ball in his hands yeah that was the Friday night fire brought to you by Fireball but guys it's crazy to think even in talking to him when he was at Utah State he was like I'm just going to to get my college degree never expecting the opportunity to potentially play in the NFL he had a teammate come up to him when he was like a sophomore was like dude you you're going to play in the league other people had to tell him have this big time Talent so relaxed right and then let's not forget in one of the toughest situations you could ever be in at the start of his career behind Aaron Rodgers and all that stuff that went on there for a few years and what that turns into is a guy whose work ethic never changes he didn't know he'd be there so he continues to do what he's supposed to do or what he had to do to get there I love that form and for this team yeah another story I love about him you know he lost his father when he was 14 and his dad was somebody who was really instrumental in him joining and playing football and he plays for him every single time he suits up and I think that that's part of the reason we're seeing so much success he plays for more than just the game all right this is our first Friday our first game in South America the Packers are taking on the Eagles as we continue to roll through week one of the football season [Music] it's the DraftKings week one preview for this special Friday night game in South poo between the Eagles and Packers yeah Green Bay has loaded up in South Pao we're on the field presented by Hyundai you guys had the opportunity down here for a couple hours now what's the most interesting thing we've heard hanging out well I met with a ton of Green Bay Packers Defenders and I'm just amazed at how excited they are for this new defens coordinat Jeff Halley I think they're going to be a lot more aggressive they're going to play physical and they're going to play a lot of tight manto man coverage yeah I talked to a lot of Defenders too and the coaches everybody's talking about aggressive blit stop the run stop these two great backs I think the receivers and the DBS are going to be the key to but I also talked to Jer Alexander and I asked him I said last year you were complaining about matching up with the number one receiver will you match up with the number one receiver tonight he just gave me a little smile and a little blink and walked away he said watch me watch you've been waiting on that have absolutely he's been waiting on [Music] oh [Music] [Music] oh oh oh [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] oh no [Music] [Applause] [Music] n [Music] [Applause] [Music] a [Music] n [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] n oh [Music] [Music] e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e e and he finds some space past the 25 to the 27 give him four yards there on the first down keeper well it's time for them to be good teammates right here what I mean by that is possess the ball for a little while get at least two first downs give their defense a chance to settle down a little bit if they give up a touchdown ball on the 27 here's second and six Swift going to try up the middle only a couple there as he'll be brought down about the 28 well done to stiff that out defensively he had it diagnosed pretty quickly I love that description because diagnosed is perfect on that one red his keys made the play and he couldn't even get going moving the football this now a third and [Music] four her sets up to throw it and this pass broken up excellent coverage there on third down as that was not an easy one to hold on to that might be the third down stop that they needed because they've had a lot of trouble slowing down this offense in the first half this might be their opportunity to get off the field on fourth down punt coming from Braden man here comes Reed we call that a punt of 38 yds officially and it will be first and 10 as they take over now the Packers get set to go right now Charles it just feels like they're trying to keep Pace they did score the touchdown last time out but they still Trail by double dig here we'll see if this offense is once again up to the task yeah and I think that after the last Drive they've got to be pretty revved up don't you think everything they were doing was working pretty well they go back out there with the same mindset play the same tempo and the same Pace still a lot of time left to make something happen in this one love going to break the Huddle lead the Packers up here first and 10 at their 36 yd line and he'll begin the drive with a give to Jones and he'll work this forward for about three it's second down I if they want to start getting back into this game it behooves them to get better on first down yeah certainly not what they were looking for there out of the opening play of this drive ball on the 39 here's second down and [Applause] seven again it's Jones and able to get a c couple as he's across the 40 to the 41 watching that play unfold and watching him complete it brought back memories of doing all those Pursuit drills to make sure you don't over pursue and let a guy get a cut back laying on you he did that very well you praised him on tape yesterday for the angles that he takes to the ball took a great angle right [Applause] there throwing [Applause] love and B incomplete nearly intercepted take a chance with that one it'll lead to a fourth down I like the calmness of how he played the ball here no Panic in his eyes as that throw AR traed it from the moment left the quarterback's hand that's just where he needed to be to knock it away here's Daniel wheelen now he's been a busy man here in this first half as he gets it away this will be fielded at the seven [Applause] it's a 39 yd punt eight on the return and they will take over first and 10 now Philadelphia ready to get going on offense again Charles a very uninspired effort the last time we saw them out there it was a quick three and out and they putted the football yeah and you never want to get stopped so soundly during a series but what would be even worse now is letting it happen again right here they've got to get going hers and the Eagles come up here first and 10 at their 25 yd line they'll start on the ground with swift there he goes right side now he's loose at the 40 and finally down at the 32 yd line 72 yd rushing for him as he has been tough to stop here this first half damage has through the air I mean they run the go three times with passing touchdowns but guess what ground game has not been neglected I it a first right [Applause] there so the big Play Changes the complexion of things here's first and 10 just outside the 30 a hand off Swift running to the left and the reinforcements come in as they're going to stop him behind the line the defense showing some anger after giving up the big play this time they'll lose one or two I like the strategy extra tight ends extra beef they want to run the football but that means they probably want to run it inside if you get strung out on the perimeter you're in Peril yeah we saw the result negative yardage second down here's hers this one complete down the field the got him touchdown Eagles Dallas G with his second touchdown here in this first half and the Eagles are able to stretch out their lead for a big tight end he can sure move like a SLO receiver we gets aead of steam going and as a defensive back you've got a big decision to make when he's moving like that Elliot now to have the extra point and the lead is up to 18 now so a 75 yd scoring drive on just three plays and the drive was B finished off on the touchdown catch by Dallas [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] gner now after the touchdown here's Elliot on to kick it away Nixon elects not to return it and this comes out to the 25 the Green Bay offense ready to take over last series for him a little disappointing forc to punt and now they'll try to do better here and Come Away with some points as they begin this drive first and 10 Ling the Packers now with a first and 10 at their own 25 yd line they'll start out on the ground with Jones and he'll manage to pick up about four it's second down nice chunk of yards on first down it really opens up your options for what you want to do on second you go right back to him and hope he explodes or sucker the defense in before throwing over the top second and six just inside the 30 they'll go again to Jones and he'll be brought down right around the 37 that one a first down pick up of eight it a good nice crisp run for a first down I wonder if the defense might have been loosened up a little bit maybe anticipating a pass instead of the run that they got after the run by Jones here's first and 10 to pass here's Jordan love he's going to launch this deep for Watson this is caught inside the 15 touchdown ERS Christian Watson 63 Ys and the Packers are able to make some inroads here to that deficit as a former DB you might not like to see that but from a wide receiver's perspective those are the plays they dream of correct on both counts all right because once he took off I mean let's face it that should have been done in Big Sky country aren't any speed limits out there and off he went glad I wasn't the one trying to chase him now Carlson for the extra [Applause] point and that one makes this an 11-point deficit now so a 75 yd scoring drive on just three plays and it was all capped off by a touchdown catch from Christian [Applause] Watson so now Carlson after the touchdown called on to send this one away [Applause] and he'll get it up past the 20 to about the 22 Philadelphia's offense ready to go again and right now we've got a little bit of an offensive Masterpiece going on both sides moving the football scoring points it's almost like somebody put the defense on rookie mode in this one I we haven't even left the first half Charles and we're certainly on Pace for a shootout an excellent start for both offenses the fans have to be enjoying this to seeing all these points go up on the board as a former Defender you know I'm not enjoying this at all but right now both these teams just trading hay makers let's see if anyone slips up first can anyone counter with a nice little jab and get things going in their Direction now this one complete on the slant route that's good for a gain of six and it'll be second down nothing fancy on first down but a very consistent type of a play hit that slant a lot of people call it an extension of the running game and it can be if that pass is completed cuz you hit a guy on the run like that you often can go for big yardage sets him up nicely for second down staying ahead of schedule here's Herz to [Applause] throw and this throw incomplete the defender all over him that time and it's going to lead to third down but you most certainly don't want to go three and out here and get the football right back because your friend old momentum he's wondering if he should change sidelines about right now and if you don't convert here guess what he's going to make the Trek to the opposite side and all of a sudden you've got a battle on your hands hers pass taken in by his big tight end and he gets this up across the 35 before he's out of bounds two touchdowns for him already in this first half this one good for a first down now that's absolutely frustrating for a Defender had a chance to get him on the ground round before he got to the sideline but what great vision and understanding where he is on the field as he headed for the marker and picked up the first down so from the 36 now first and 10 they run out of the gun with Swift and the stiff arm made it a pretty little run not a huge gain but a nice chunk of yardage 78 Ys rushing for him now in the ball game well no matter how they phrase it staying on schedule staying ahead of the sticks whatever you want to call it seven yds on first down that fits the bill from the 43 it's second and three back to throw here this short throw caught by G and this won't be enough to pick up the first a gain of two third and one not a big window to throw coverage wasn't too bad there yeah they had him under wrapped pretty well but somehow able to muscle his way open and catch the ball the Eagles on third down they've had good success five for eight to this point they're up against a third and one situation in motion the tight end on third down here comes Swift and that one going nowhere from the start as he's met in the back field and goes backwards a two and it brings up fourth just a simple run play there on Third and one but this D was up to the challenge and stopped him bringing up fourth down here's Braden man now as he's on to punt for Philadelphia fair catch called for right around the 11 yd line a 41 yd punt there with no return Christian Watson and the rest of this offense back out now making his presence felt early in this one first half already over the century mark how about the yards per completion too that's a pretty darn good number there number of catches but he's shredding defense is getting big yardage with each and every one of them [Applause] love going to break the Huddle lead the Packers up here first and 10 at their own 12 yd line they'll come out throwing here to start the drive he'll go over the middle of the read complete and he almost gets this to the 30 taken down about a yard shy that's a good way to start the drive 17 yds and a first down good strong throw and catch right there and so far in this game the alleys have been open for them to get completions and they're taking advantage of it on play action love to throw got dos over the middle it'll go as a gain of four and it's second down aain second at the 3 let's [Applause] go love looking to throw it over the middle and it's incomplete and I think he was a little surprised to see the ball s out there like that that's a ball he had a chance to come away with but it winds up an incomplete pass so after the second down incompletion they'll come up now against a third and six to the air again love finds his receiver Watson and I don't think he got there no he's short by maybe a foot maybe call it fourth and inches I thought they might take a shot down the field but instead they ran a little drag route there I think they were hoping he could catch it and run away from the defender but a really good job keeping the play in front of them and they force a fourth down on now is the Packers punter as he'll putt it away for the fourth time [Applause] today and this will be taken at the 13 a pretty good punt there but also a nice return of 12 yds and it will be Eagles football first and 10 here's the Philadelphia offensive unit now as they head out to take over possession obviously not the inted goal last Drive they had to punt the football but still they've got the lead here and now a chance to add on to that lead if they can get points on this drive first and 10 upcoming Herz and the Eagles come up here first and 10 at their 25 yd line they'll start this drive out on the ground and he's able to take this one up to the 35 yd line 86 yd rushing for him now to this point on any explosive run you can almost feel the ground shaking and that's from the offensive lineman creating space for their Runners I had an Old Coach tell me before that he always told his runners run around the offensive line in pregame get used to the ground shaking so you don't trip and fall when it happens in a game right back to again on second down it's a gain of 13 and a first down for Philadelphia we've seen him break off a big run already in this game and for a second that one looked like it might be another yeah I think that any defense would say look we can't let him get to the second level because sometimes he'll break off the big run on his own but often times you get additional blocking at the second level which gets you deeper into the secondary they'll throw on first down with Herz quick slant here to Smith what terrifies defenses when they see slant rout stone is that the receiver is on the move and often times he catches it and gets up field has a really nice job rallying to him and stopping him for a minimal gain from the 47 it's second and [Music] five throwing is [Applause] herds and he couldn't get that one to his man short of him it's low and incomplete a lot of times it's that first read that you had maybe you get it in pre-nap and he locked in on his Target but he was covered quite well and that one's incomplete they come up now third and five following the incomplete [Applause] pass they'll look to throw work in the middle of the field and he's got him man complete and he is going to have an eagles first down as he's able to get eight yds there on Third and five when an offense reads Blitz doesn't matter where it's coming from tight ends know that they become a big part of the passing game because there should be an easy Outlet when all those extra bodies are trying to get to the quarterback a hot route so to speak so from the 39 now they'll come up on a first and 10 they'll look to to throw again and this one is going to be off the mark too far out in front well they've been back on the heels a little bit here on this drive but a chance to Exhale just a little bit there with incompletion on first down now they have to Gear Up try and get two more stops and escape this drive so line of scrimmage still the 39 on second and 10 from the gun here's Swift they do get a couple but they'll be left staring at a third and eight coming up this guy is well on his way now to a big game on the ground it's another good run there puts him over the Sentry Mark in yardage and we're still in the second quarter eighth play of the drive fourth coming and they need eight yards on third down from the shotgun he'll look to throw oh and Herz is going to be hit and taken down to the ground it's Preston Smith he gets the sack [Applause] there and we've hit the two-minute Mark in this first half of action the Eagles send out their punter now as he'll come on to kick this one away and this one goes angling out of bounds and it will be spotted inside the 30 yd line Packers all set to go again that means we'll see Christian Watson he's done his part but so far it's been in a losing effort so they've got to fix something but that doesn't mean changing anything the way they're throwing the ball around and his catches and production keep doing that they're going to have to fix some things likely on defense to try and slow down their opponents so far he's north of a 100 yds [Applause] receiving first down love to pass caught on the right side by Jones and he gets this to the 35 good for a gain of five all defenses worry that whenever anyone catches the ball and has a head of steam come out of the back field it can turn into a big play with Miss tackles or he runs through people but they were right there waiting and they stopped him for a minimal gain the clock rolls as the Packers look to hurry things up now a second down throw for love here he'll find Jones again complete and he'll be brought down right around the 37 offensively that's the mismatch that you want you want to force a linebacker to try and cover your back out of the back field out in some open space but linebackers nowadays they run like backs and they take a lot of Pride and covering what a nice play he made there in the open field love with it here third and short yardage he's got his Target that's complete and he is going to have a Packers first down they needed three he doubled that he got six would it be safe to say that as precise as routes are supposed to be run in the NFL maybe they're not quite as precise in college ball that's accurate yeah and I think we saw a college route in the NFL there just find the soft spot find The Dead Zone and find the first down and that's what he just did this one swung out here to Jones and he'll be taken down at the 46 yd line so the completion good for just three and it'll be second down now another timeout called for by the offense as the clock will stop with 33 seconds to go in the first half [Applause] they'll come up second and seven to throw now here's love Eagle pressure too much this time down he goes now the Packers going to burn their third and final timeout and with halime on the horizon they'll be out of timeouts from here forward [Applause] these guys have punted four times already and they're staring at a fifth barring a conversion here on third down love going to give this one to Jones the Eagles going to take the first of their timeouts as the stoppage will come with 23 seconds to go till [Applause] halftime and here's Daniel Wheeling on now to punt [Applause] fair catch taken right at the 10 yd line so a change of possession here on the B the Eagles going to get one final possession in this first half already enjoying a two-score lead here late in the second quarter not a ton of time left we'll see if they can work this at least into field goal range and try to get three to add on even more to their lead [Music] just 18 seconds remain till halftime as they come up on First and 10 and they'll run the option to start the drive and he's not going to go anywhere as they get him down behind the line of scrimmage officially it's a one yd loss that's going to bring up second and 11 at the 11 ydd so we have reached halftime here in an 11-point contest as we'll send you down the coast now to Orlando that's where we find Jonathan Coachman ready with our EA Sports halime report coach okay Brandon back to you guys in just a moment but welcome everyone to our creative Village studios in the EA Sports halftime report the Eagles were LED in the first half by their Dynamic quarterback Jaylen Herz he was on point repeatedly ultimately finishing with four touch down passes in those first two quarters alone all right coach thank you and we welcome everyone back for quarter number three [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] the Packers set to get the football first and they are trailing on the scoreboard as we resume action ready for the third quarter kesan Nixon now going to bring it out of his end zone and no chance to get away as they'll get him down at about the 17 yd line here's the Packers offense now being set to start off this third quarter this offense Charles had a strong first half throwing the football at least in terms of yardage but that hasn't translated so far on the scoreboard as they begin the third quarter here trailing and looking for a little momentum yeah you're right about that because you know let's face it in the first half most of their focus was in the passing game and to their credit resulted in a healthy amount of yardage so I would think that at halftime they're going to anticipate that defense loosening up a little bit to try and cover the passing lanes they've got to get the running game going and there should be some gaps to run through now flushed out right and he works his way past the line of scrimmage and then slides to a hole he'll wind up getting right about four there on the scramble and it's second down I certainly like what he did right there because he smartly wanted to avoid forcing anything down field because nothing appeared to be open nice harmless slide there to avoid the big hit and he gets a small gain on the play on second down it's Jones and he'll do a nice job here just to fight his way back to the line of scrimmage they'll say no gain on the play there and now it'll be third down defensively though they had a chance there to hit him for a loss couldn't get it done looked like someone was able to knife into the back field but he wasn't able to get him down but his compatriots they were able to grab him at the line of scrimmage and not let him get any further down field love from the gun on third down and this is going to be incomplete they have any designs of getting back into this football game in the second half they're going to need to be much sharper offensively than they were on this opening possession not much happening here and it'll lead to a fourth down on now is the Packers punter as they're forced to kick for the sixth time today and a fair catch called for and made just inside the 35 yd line it'll be a 39 yd punt no return and the Eagles will have it taking over first and 10 [Applause] throwing quickly there but it's incomplete speed is the name of the game when it comes to rpos and sometimes you can be a little too quick thus inaccurate incomplete after the incomplete pass here now is second and 10 on the handoff this is Swift pretty little juke move there on a nice gain 110 yd for him on the ground now as he has been terrific here this afternoon well if you like the guys who run the ball you're enjoying watching this but the other guys especially the defense coordinator trying to figure out an answer on how to slow down the running game I think maybe starts to call more blitzes because you can call run blitzes in order to try and get more people to the point of attack they'll try and run here with swift a third down gain of three yds and that'll be enough some been having a good game so far and you know something a lot is the power running they decid to turn him loose again on third down didn't they did indeed he delivered the tough [Applause] yards and they'll let the quarterback keep it here on First and 10 and holding it maybe the wrong decision as he stopped in the back field Rashad Gary that time through the line and getting the tackle for loss well that play never really got off the L punching pad he had a linebacker in his face before he had a chance to do much of anything yeah I think his big boys up front that offensive line they've got to do a little bit better job of protecting him if they're going to continue to run the option like this on second down Swift and he'll be tackled at the 45 following a gain of just two in order to play really good run defense when you're playing a 3 four those three guys up front the nose tackle and the guys they call the defensive ends they're usually big big big people cuz they're going to have to eat up a lot of blockers cuz usually five on three and when they do their job well guys who play on the inside those inside linebackers they're able to just Roam and hit herds and he is caught and he's going to be out of bounds but not before he takes it inside the 40 he had the touchdown earlier this one's going to get him a first down I'll tell you what a lot of those mid-range throws have been available because sometimes teams get tooo concerned about the Deep ball and they leave too much space in front of them and these guys have been taken advantage so [Applause] far so into Packer territory now here's first and 10 at the 38 BT sets up to throw it forced out to his left Nifty move and they'll wind up getting this one all the way down inside the 20 able to find a lot of empty space there picking up the first down and a 21 yd gain bottom line is that he is just something else as a runner because there are not many QBs in this league who can rip off a game that big and he did it with the defense G him a little extra attention after you hit him on a run earlier this series on First and 10 it's Swift and he'll take it into the end zone for an Eagles touchdown 17 yds for DeAndre Swift and the Eagles had six to their lead and that's a drive that makes everyone happy on that bench because they accomplish exactly what they set out to do take care of the football up a little clock end up in the end zone now they've got a cushion for the rest of the game so they didn't just help themselves offensively they help their defense out as well Elliot on for the extra [Applause] point and he's been a busy man five for five now as he knocks another one through to extend the lead so that drive goes eight plays and it was all finished off by the 17y touchdown run [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] now after the touchdown here's Elliot on to kick it [Applause] away kesan Nixon now on the return and good coverage there on special teams as they'll get him down shy of the 20 now trotting out there the Packers getting ready to go I kind of feel like they've reached a Do or Die point in this game Charles if they're going to try to pull off an impressive comeback has to start right here right now yeah now they've got a final chance to get out of this situation but they also understand they've got to move the ball and move it fast in addition they need to save as much time so they can get two more possessions loving the Packers now with a first and 10 at their own 19 yd line they'll try and get the running game going with Jones and fights through one man he is taken down at the 21 after a short gain of two defenses always talk about earning the right to rush the passer on third down and you know what offenses want win first down so they can set things up for themselves better and that wasn't helpful there not a big impact on first down from the 21 here's second down and eight love they go playaction now pressure comes and down he goes the Eagles get there for the sack that sack courtesy of the effort of Hassan reic they tried to go with a little playaction there but nobody on the defensive side bit Yeah they adjusted in time and in a big way and ultimately got the sack on offense sometimes you're running play action just to set up a certain blocking technique in this case none of it worked oh this is taken in it's complete and he'll take this to the other side of Midfield before going out of bounds able to convert on Third and 14 a terrific play call and that one hurts defensively they force him into third and long have the advantage yet they give up the big play right there yeah their offense was already warming up on the sideline ready to come out so much for that three and out [Applause] so the line of scrimmage moves all the way across the 50 now as they come up first and 10 now a first down carry by Jones and they'll get this just to the 47 one yd gain I do know from experience that when you slow down someone's running game you're now doing the dictating on defense and guess what now you're getting ready to tea off on their quarterback cuz they have to throw it all the time but you still have to be alert for the draws and other plays of that n and make sure you don't get hurt ball on the 47 yd line here's a second down and nine now love and that is going to be incomplete as he let him a bit too much just a little beyond the reach there of his receiver that's probably one he wishes he had back he wishes it had been seven on seven in practice or maybe even routes versus Air because that's a completion makes what 9.9 times out of 10 just missed that one offense in desperate need of a conversion as they come up on third down throwing love able to find the open man that's complete and he has another first down as they'll get the ball down to the Eagles 32 yd line give him 15 there and the Packers have a first well we talk all the time about playing situational football right now I think the scoreboard is dictating what they need to do where they are in this game they've got to push the ball down field take their shots try and get big chunks of yardage in a short amount of time that was a nice play there they go back to the ground with Jones and boy this defense again really making things tough on him as they stop him for No Gain how about the big guy there showing some agility just Flo from his D tackle position in order to make that play [Applause] here's second and [Applause] 10 out of the shotgun it's love short throw to musra and he's down into the red zone at the 16 after a gain of 16 first and 10 and with that last play he's now up over that 300 yd Mark and in today's NFL almost feels routine and I hate that when you talk about a 300 yard passing game to me 300 yds still signifies excellence and he's achieved that in this [Applause] performance so the ball down to the 16 here for first and 10 they'll try the right side with Jones and they'll lose yardage here knocked back to the 18 yd line a s it coming through with a stop there and a tackle for lost to boot you got to figure the further they fall behind the more you think that they'll get away from the Run they're trying to stick with it but the results they just aren't there they'll have to deal with a second and 14 now after the [Applause] loss up the middle Jones and he'll take this inside the 20 and down out of the 18 they'll get a couple yards back but not more than that they'll be left with 12 yds to go on third down vision is so important for the man in the middle because his ability to to to look through all the Clutter that's happening in front of him diagnose a play and then go make it and finish it that's when the great ones know that they have the goods on third down love [Applause] and it's knocked away and incomplete so two third down conversions on this drive but not able to get a third and now they deal with fourth down what an excellent defensive stand there in the Red Zone nice tight coverage they certainly recognized how important it was to bring up fourth down here so off goes love on is Carlson for the Packer field goal this one from 35 yds away and his kick is right there it's good and that'll get the deficit down to 15 so that maybe not exactly what they were hoping for but it does get him back within a couple of scores and at this point in the third quarter you don't have much margin for error and that means you can't have drives that end with nothing whether it's a punt a turnover a turnover on Downs those have to go away you have to end with a kick either a field goal or an extra point after a touchdown [Applause] so after the M field goal here's Carlson to send it [Applause] away Scott on the return out of the end zone and he's up past the 20 to the 22 yd line well let's Shine the spotlight on the former Georgia Bulldog DeAndre Swift who set to begin this next Drive he's been a good Workhorse I know we use the word Workhorse a lot but he's been a good Workhorse for him in this one no doubt about it and there's nothing wrong with that that's what you're looking for if you're a back because that means everything's comeing together for you big guys up front have created space you've run through it you've probably got some help even from the wide receivers who want to catch passes as opposed to block but they're helping out too yeah everyone's pitching in he's had a good game they go playaction with hers toward the sideline and look at that catch dragging the toes and that's going to be a first down well done he got 29 Ys that time now we get into the psychology of the whole thing because a lot of teams with a two- score lead in the third quarter they almost become defensive with their offense just playing not to lose I think with this team you got to figure at this point this is a great spot for them to go into Attack Mode really try and put the hammer down and finish this one off so into Packer territory now here's first and 10 at the 48 yd line throwing from the gun it's herds goes right back to Smith again and he'll go down but not before get this inside the 30 backto back receptions for him and it's another first down this offensive game plan has just been Sensational I mean when you think about all the different ways they've got their receivers open so far it's really been impressive scheme design execution on first down Herz he's got Smith here they get him to the ground right on the C the Red Zone after a pick up of five or six they like going to him in the slot he catches another one I think this comes Under The Heading of until they stop him why not go back to him he has something going really well great working relationship with the guy throwing the ball and they keep making the connection here now second and four playaction here's [Applause] hers it's complete to Brown right side just a gain of a couple there and that'll leave him with a third and two the goal of a wide receiver screen is get enough blockers in front to create a wall and let him pick his spot to run the football how about the defense there swarming to it and not allowing that to happen did not let him get down field third and two [Applause] here's Herz to throw and that nearly the pick that they needed he couldn't pull it in though and it's fourth down and that could have been the lifeline they needed this is a play that could have been made instead it's just going to fall incomplete this offense converted once on fourth down earlier now they're out there again to try once more they'll try it now with Swift and he takes it down to the 13 and picks up the first a solid pick up of five and a very solid fourth down conversion and defensively pure frustration y so this drive going to continue following the conversion on Fourth here's first and 10 [Applause] hurts looking in zone but it's incomplete well he's smart enough to avoid the taunting rule but I'll guarantee he quietly is them you might want to stop coming after me downfield because I just broke up another pass and took away a big shot that you were trying to succeed with second and 10 now third quarter action from Philadelphia [Music] PA on the option to give to Swift here and he'll get this one down to about the 10 yd lineing so that time they got the left guard with a hole and let's face it in today's ball you might have that 330lb guy you're supposed to clear out out of there you might need a little bit of extra help by grabbing the jersey and trying to ride him out throwing his hers that's complete to DeAndre Swift Out of the Back Field that's good the completion there for seven yds and it'll be a third and about 13 caught that look from you there partner I think we're on the same page on that one just his first catch I think we both thought he'd be a little more active in the passing game let's see if that's the start of them trying to get the ball to him a little bit more here in the second half now on Third and long they'll look to [Applause] throw and that is incomplete that is certainly one way to frustrate a quarterback one of those extra Defenders on the field dime package lots of speed no space to fit into football so Herz is off and on comes Jake Elliot for the eagle field goal this a 33 yd attempt the kick by Elliot is good and that will extend their lead even further so after five touchdowns offensively hey maybe it's time to get the kicker a little working he's able to connect there I love that empathetic side of you you're worried about him getting some action getting to be a part of the game well he got in and got it done [Applause] after the field goal here's Elliot to kick it away [Applause] and he takes this near the 25 just a little pass there called it to 26 the Packers offense now heading back out onto the field and tough to win games if you're going field goal field goal field goal here they got field goal last time now they'll be looking for a touchdown they're looking for the big chunk now because as you noted the field goal field goal field goal way of doing it makes it that much harder puts more pressure on every possession for you now go ahead and get six and feel a lot more comfortable about the position they're in bigger chunks we'll see if they can get the score love going to break the Huddle lead the Packers up here first and 10 at their own 26 they'll try and start this drive in the air gets this to his running back Aaron Jones and he's taken down but able to slip across the 35 the drive starting with a first down 11 yards on that pickup but they certainly had success throughout this contest getting him the ball in the passing game and there he picks up another first down whatever they saw going into this one they've been able to capitalize on it and no adjustment has been made to take it [Applause] away an inside give to Jones and a 6yd gain gets him right around the 43 well I think after that run the defense get back in the huddle and looking at each other and maybe starting to question their confidence a bit they gave up a significant run six yards and now you're saying to yourself how do we stop them and do I have enough confidence to make a play line of scrimmage the 43 on second and four on the delay [Music] Jones and he'll get it out a couple yards shy of Midfield at the 48 a gain of five good enough for the first down well pardon if the defense isn't going to adjust and they keep giving them those five six seven yd runs over and over they're likely to run it the whole way to the end zone they'll be more than happy to take the yardage available and save some of their other plays in the playbook for another time now whistles here flag down I think one of the Packer linemen was moving that flag accepted and it backs the offense up a little [Music] B still first down a FAL start backs him up five first and 15 he's got the hook up with dobs short completion just four yards yards and it'll be second down y up 11 47 yd [Applause] line out of the shotgun it's Jones and a good push there defensively as they stop him at the 48 gain of just one that play reminded me a lot of a former teammate of mine we used to call him the trash man his ability to sit through traffic and make plays was uncanny and that's exactly what you want from your Mike linebacker these guys have punted four times already and they're staring at a fifth barring a conversion here on third [Applause] down pass taken in by his big tight end and he is out of bounds but before he's inside the 30 that's a third down conversion of 24 yds there nice play it's a nice Zone breaker right there take the tight end move him out to the slot then have him run a corner route versus The Zone coverage which means he's going to be behind the the the shallow coverage and ahead of the deep coverage putting the ball right on him so from Philadelphia territory now here's a first and 10 at the 27 running right Jones and he'll be taken down after a minimal pickup and that will take us to the end of quarter number three thir quter we have played three quarters you are watching the NFL on EA Sports and welcome back we are in the City of Brotherly Philadelphia it's the Packers who have the football but in need of points as we begin quarter number four here's second and seven love looking to throw it and this will be well too low for him to bring in it's incomplete at this point down big you'd have to imagine this defense they just going to sit back blanket the field as best they can yeah this is actually the easy part of the game for them because just as you noted they can sit back keep everything in front of them but they blanketed the field the entire game using a variety of coverages an eight play drive to this point so here's play number nine on Third and seven here's love this pass caught it's dos with it and he has another first down as they'll get the ball down to the Eagles 14 11 more yards there and this methodical Drive continues those are the types of plays they probably wish they had made more of in the first three quarters and this deficit going to be tough to overcome here in the fourth but a nice first down and a pickup on that throw yeah and this is where as coaches you're looking for effort and execution even though the scoreboard is going against you you want to find out who's going to fight who's going to scrap who's going to keep their heads up and continue to play it's a loss of four there bringing up second down the short field shrinks even more with the type of bodies they brought in on that play those extra tight ends they weren't able to secure their blocks and that one ended up going backwards this has been a good March down the field but now they're stuck looking at a second and 14 love from the [Music] gun and Jones has it over the middle and now they're inside the 10 as he's brought down at the nine so eight yds on the completion there and now third down and six to [Applause] go they are in need of six yards here if they hope to move the the chains working out of the gun love a he had him he was open but he couldn't get it to him it's incomplete think twice up third down that drive already but couldn't make it a third we always talk about ingame adjustments how about what the defense did there able to shut him down on that attempt so off goes love on is Carlson for the Packer field goal this is a 26 yd [Applause] attempt and his kick is good and that'll get the deficit down to 15 well with that field goal you can argue they needed to get back within two scores and they did indeed do that but still a pretty uphill battle still going to take two fourth quarter touchdowns to get back into it and as you and I know that's a tall order against any NFL defense they're going to need their own defense to make some plays as well to give them an opportunity Carlson back out there now to send this one away [Applause] and he's up across the 25 and down at the 28 Here Comes Eagle offense now as they get set to take over here they two scores on the plus side still time here in this fourth quarter but maybe you start thinking about playing keep away yeah I think here's the situation you're not thinking touchdowns anymore you're just thinking first downs to keep up with your theme there playing keep away first downs they can't touch the ball hers and the Eagles come up here first and 10 at their own 28 yd line they'll come out throwing here to start the drive and that's going to be caught downfield by Brown and he'll be taken down but not before they reach the 50 23 yds on the play partner I like that they're stay aggressive on because to me this drive is what is known as a putaway drive you score here that might put this one to bed I like the fact that they're playing with confidence and not playing with [Music] fear from the Midfield strike they'll look to throw open man has got it the tight end and he's coralled but not before getting it inside the 35 16 more on that one and another first down well that's be a reminder defensively and I think it's a reminder to myself because you just can't sell out to stop the run there's still enough time that this offense can move the football through the air even on first and second downs and they obviously picked the right spot to throw the ball there backto back good plays have them on the move on first down hert sets up to throw it he'll drop this one off to Swift and the play goes goes nowhere losing yardage back near the 40 at the 39 so it goes as a completed pass but they lose a full five yards well his completion percentage continues to rise with that one but sometimes you want your completion percentage to go down maybe you should have thought about throwing that one away I was just going to say it is easier said than done but that's where you may be buried at his feet make sure he doesn't catch it great great call right there put it near the receiver no grounding nothing like that but no one gets a chance to pick it off either and they will only must ex a yard here to the 38 the defense was ready for the back to leak out and even had a second player waiting to double him up if you're going to commit to doubling a back you better prevent a completion but give him credit extra determination extra effort turn it into a successful play so here's a third and 14 back to throw again [Applause] and this is going to be incomplete nice call by the defense there on third down just flood the field with extra defensive backs in their dime package nowhere to go with the football forces the incompletion here's Jake Elliot career long by the way for him 61 yds this to make it a three-score game late and that is no good and that will keep this a 15-point game this one now not over yet Charles you've got a sliver of Hope on that other sideline you certainly do because that would have made it a three-score game and that probably would have been curtains at that point but now if they can get down the field quickly and somehow get the ball back one more time we may have a different ball game Green Bay's offense ready to go again well they didn't fall behind any further thanks to that missed field goal but still staring at this fourth quarter deficit loving the Packers now with a first and 10 at the [Music] [Applause] 45 love now he finds his man complete it's Reed so give him five yards there on the pitch and catch and that'll bring up second down you got the big lead defensively willing to give him that underneath stuff right and this is why you work on your tackling tackle him after the catch inbounds keep the clock running just go ahead and bleed the game out that way second and so after the made field goal here's Carlson to send it away [Applause] and the tackle going to be made right there at the 25 yd line Philadelphia's offense ready to give us another look but Charles they're really stringing these possessions and scores together early we're still in the first quarter but if they can score again here look out yeah and as you taught me when we're broadcasting games one word we're supposed to avoid and that's blowout but that's exactly what's going on here down three possessions just the first quarter that goes beyond any worst case scenario we might have thought coming into this game and another touchdown here that should eliminate any hopes for any type of a comeback it's caught on the right side it's s and he will lose yardage here back at the 23 yd line that one unable to develop never got going a loss of a couple and it's second down they threw the screen to the perimeter but to no benefit at all tackled behind the line of scrimmage for a loss of yardage so the opening play of the drive goes backwards now they'll come up on second and 12 from the gun it's hers goes right back to Smith again as a passer always trying to find that open window to throw the ball down field how about this one right in the middle of the field right in the heart of a defense third and coming up here looking for three yards to pick up the first throwing his herts and that one is incomplete and it also concludes quarter number one 21 to3 is your score after one now second quarter action from Philadelphia and it's the Eagles in possession as they've got it with a fourth down coming up out now is the punter Braden man Jaden Reed is deep for Green Bay this is brought in at the 21 they'll net only 35 here following a 43 yd boot 8yd return and it'll be Packer football here first down and 10 and Green Bay getting ready to go as they take the field and this let's face it an important drive if they're going to get back into this ball game think about going into the locker room down 21 to 10 as opposed to 21 to3 21 to 10 a little more optimism A Little More Bounce Around The Locker Room a little more discussion about how they're going to finish this thing off 21 to three I think discouragement clouds that locker room yeah and I think a touchdown much bigger than a field goal on this drive just to get into the end zone and get that momentum now a throw right side taken in here to start this drive and he goes out of bounds just shy of the 45 15 yds is the pickup there and the drive starting very nicely first down it's been a very one-sided game so far they got to change what they're doing right now don't they you can't wait till the halftime speech to make an adjustment no you can't because if you're doing it right you're adjusting from series to series and they need a big adjustment here to try and put some points on the board took just one play to move all the way to the 44 as they try again on first down playaction this time with love throwing left side and Watson has it so they'll get eight out of that completion and they'll be left with second and a couple Y at 4 ydd [Applause] to throw now here's love this complet to the tight end Tucker CRA and he is out of bounds but not before he's inside the 30 19 yds there on the catch and run well these guys have definitely been outplayed in the first half but I like their countenance I like the way that they having panicked out there the way they're carrying themselves they're starting to move the ball and what you have to do maintain your Poise and start to put together some drives this offense finding its legs now here's another first and 10 going back to [Applause] love he'll complete this one to Watson and taking it to the 15 yd line before he's brought down another strong gain on the last two plays they've moved it a combined 33 yds now that's the kind of big play you'd like to see this first half it hasn't gone their way and they could use a shot in the arm arm something to perk them up a bit and they get one here in the passing game first down going to the air with love throwing middle and it's complete they'll wind up getting seven on the play and that's going to bring up second down they gave up the completion there but this is what zone defenses count on catching the ball and not much run after the catch second down from the eight they can get a first down by reaching the five love and that will be caught but out of the end zone says the field judge it's ruled incomplete they may be snapping the ball near the goal line but all you're thinking defensively keep them out of the end zone Force the incompletion force him into go for three and not giving up six Matt lfl loudly voicing his objections to that previous call he's going to throw out the red challenge flag they're taking a peek at whether or not those feet were in bounds and obviously a big call here in the end zone and not just the feet how about the hands how is the ball possessed while the feet are hopefully getting down in bounds that's what they're trying to look at to see if it all comes together after review the play ring on the field stand so not successful there on the challenge and he'll have to be careful from here on out because he'll only have one challenge remaining the Packers on third down they've only converted once in four tries here it's third and three love now and he is caught and the Packers are going to have first and goal as they try to finish off this drive with six points and in a lot of ways that catch is expected Red Zone presence and that one was realized there you've got to find your tight end in that situation first and goal and they got to be thinking a chance to get right back into this football game [Applause] Jones is in touchdown Packers well they move the ball down the field through the air Charles and then finally they get the running game involved and it works to Perfection touchdown and partner I kept waiting for that running game to come into play and actually saved it until the very end touchdown goes on a stat sheet but you and I both know and he knows as well his teammates airing it out made this a successful Drive Anders Carlson now for the point after it's up and good and the lead is down now at 11 it's 21-1 so that drive in total eight plays and the last play in the drive was a touchdown run by Aaron Jones [Applause] Carlson back out there now to send this one away [Applause] and he returns this to the 22 Philadelphia getting set to take the field no points last time out they were forced to punt if you remember but no time to dwell on that they've still got the lead here and a chance to add to that here first and 10 as this new Drive starts Herz and the Eagles come up here first and 10 at their own 2 two they'll start by running the option to the right and he finds some space past the 25 to the 27 give him four yards there on the first down keeper well it's time for them to be good teammates right here what I mean by that is possess the ball for a little while get at least two first downs give their defense chance to settle down a little bit after they give up a touchdown ball on the 27 here's second and six Swift going to try up to the middle only a couple there as he'll be brought down about the 28 well done to stiff that out defensively he had it diagnosed pretty quickly I love that description because diagnosed is perfect on that one read his keys made the play and he couldn't even get going moving the football this now a third and four [Music] Herz sets up to throw it and this pass broken up excellent coverage there on third down as that was not an easy one to hold on to that might be the third down stop that they needed because they've had a lot of trouble slowing down this offense in the first half this might be their opportunity to get off the field on fourth down punt coming from Braden man Here Comes Reed call that a punt of 38 yds officially and it will be first and 10 as they take over now the Packers get set to go right now Charles it just feels like they're trying to keep Pace they did score the touchdown last time out but they still Trail by double digits here we'll see if this offense is once again up to the task yeah and I think that after the last Drive they've got to be pretty revved up don't you think everything they were doing was working pretty well they go back out there with the same mindset play the same tempo and the same Pace still a lot of time left to make something happen in this one love going to break the Huddle lead the Packers up here first and 10 at their 36 yd line and he'll begin the drive with a give to Jones and he'll work this forward for about three it's second down I think they want to start getting back into this game it behooves them to get better on first down yeah certainly not what they were looking for there out of the opening play of this drive 39 [Music] yd ball on the 39 here's second down and [Applause] seven again it's Jones and able to get a couple as he's across the 40 to the 41 watching that play unfold and watching him complete it brought back memories of doing all those Pursuit drills to make sure you don't over pursue and let a guy get a cut back Lane on you he did that very well you praised him on tape yesterday for the angles that he takes to the ball took a great angle right [Applause] there throwing [Applause] love and that ball incomplete nearly intercepted took a answer through that one it'll lead to a fourth down I like the colist of how he played the ball here no Panic in his eyes as that thow arve traed it from the moment left the quarterback's hand that's just where he needed to be to knock it away here's Daniel wheelen now he's been a busy man here in this first half as he gets it away this will be fielded at the 17 it's a 39 yd punt eight on the return and they will take over first and 10 now Philadelphia ready to get going on offense again and Charles a very uninspired effort the last time we saw them out there it was a quick three and out then they putted the football yeah and you never want to get stop so soundly during a series but what would be even worse now is letting it happen again right here they've got to get going Herz and the Eagles come up up here first and 10 at their 25 yd line they'll start on the ground with swift there he goes right side now he's loose at the 40 and finally down at the 32 yd line 72 yds rushing for him as he has been tough to stop here this first down most of damage has been through the air I they run three times with passing touchdowns but guess what ground game has not been neglected must it a bur right [Applause] there so the big Play Changes the complexion of things here's first and 10 just outside the 30 a handoff swift running to the left and the re enforcements come in as they're going to stop him behind the line the defense showing some anger after giving up the big play this time they'll lose one or two I like the strategy extra tight ends extra beef they want to run the football but that means they probably want to run it inside if you get strung out on the perimeter you're in Peril yeah we saw the result negative yardage second down here's hers this one complete down the field the got him touchdown Eagles down has got it with his second touchdown here in this first half and the Eagles are able to stretch out their lead for a big tight end he can sure move like a SLO receiver when gets ahead of steam going and as a defensive back you've got a big decision to make when he's moving like that Elliot now to add the extra [Applause] point and the lead is up to 18 now so a 75 yd scoring drive on just three plays and the drive was all finished off on the touchdown catch by Dallas gner [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Applause] now after the touchdown here's Elliot on to kick it away Nixon elects not to return it and this comes out to the 25 the Green Bay offense ready to take over last series for a little disappointing forced a punt and now they'll try to do better here and Come Away with some points as they begin this drive first and 10 loving the Packers now with a first and 10 at their own 25 yd line they'll start out on the ground with Jones and he'll manage to pick up about four it's second down nice chunk of yards on first down it really opens up your options for what you want to do on second you can go right back to him and hope he explodes or sucker the defense in before throwing for the top second and six just inside the 30 they'll go again to Jones and he'll be brought down right around the 37 that one a first down pick up of eight that's a good nice crisp run for a first down I wonder if the defense might have been loosened up a little bit maybe anticipating a pass in instead of the run that they got after the run by Jones here's first and 10 to pass here's Jordan love he's going to launch this deep for Watson this is caught inside the 15 touchdown Packers Christian Watson 53 Ys and the Packers are able to make some inroads here to that deficit as a former DB you might not like to see that but from a wide receiver's perspective those are the plays they dream of correct on both counts all right because once he took off I mean let's face it that should have been done in Big Sky country aren't any speed limits out there and off he went glad I wasn't the one trying to chase him now Carlson for the extra [Applause] point and that one makes this an 11-point deficit now so a 75 yd scoring drive on just three plays and it was all capped off by a touchdown catch from Christian Watson [Applause] so now Carlson after the touchdown called on to send this one away [Applause] and he'll get it up past the 20 to about the 22 Philadelphia's offense ready to go again and right now we've got a little bit of an offensive Masterpiece going on both sides moving the football scoring points it's almost like somebody put the defense on rookie mode in this one I we haven't even left the first half Charles and we're certainly on Pace for a shootout an excellent start for both offenses the fans have to be enjoying this to seeing all these points go up on the board as a former Defender you know I'm not enjoying this at all all but right now both these teams just trading hay makers let's see if anyone slips up first can anyone counter with a nice little jab and get things going in their Direction now this one complete on the slant route and that's good for a gain of six and it'll be second down nothing fancy on first down but a very consistent type of a play hit that slant a lot of people call it an extension of the running game and it can be if that pass is completed cuz you hit a guy on the run like that you often can go for big yardage sets him up nicely for second down staying ahead of schedule here's Herz to [Applause] throw and this throw incomplete the defender all over him that time and it's going to lead to third down well you most certainly don't want to go three and out here and get the football right back because your friend old momentum he's wondering if he should change Sidelines about right now and if you don't convert here guess what he's going to make the T to the opposite side and all of a sudden you got a battle on your hands herds pass taken in by his big tight end and he gets this up across the 35 before he's out of bounds two touchdowns for him already in this first half this one good for a first down now that's absolutely frustrating for a Defender had a chance to get him on the ground before he got to the sideline but what great vision and understanding where he is on the field as he headed for the marker and picked up the first down so from the 36 now first and 10 they run out of the gun with Swift and the stiff arm made it a pretty little run not a huge gain but a nice chunk of yardage 78 ydd rushing for him now in the ball game well no matter how they phrase it staying on schedule staying ahead of the sticks whatever you want to call it seven yds on first down that fits the bill from the 43 it's second and three back to throw here this short throw caught by G and this won't be enough to pick up the first a gain of two third and one not a big window to throw coverage wasn't too bad there yeah they had him under wrapped pretty well but some able to muscle his way open and catch the ball the Eagles on third down they've had good success five for eight to this point they're up against a third and one situation in motion the tight end on third down here comes Swift and that one going nowhere from the start as he's met in the back field and goes backwards he lost two and it brings up four just a simple run play there on thir thir and one but this D was up to the challenge and stopped him bringing up fourth down here's Braden man now as he's on to punt for Philadelphia fair catch called for right around the 11 yd line a 41 yd punt there with no return turn Christian Watson and the rest of this offense back out now making his presence felt early in this one first half already over the century mark how about the yards per completion too that's a pretty darn good number there number of catches but he's shredding defense is getting big yardage with each and every one of [Applause] them love going to break the Huddle lead the Packers up here first and 10 at their own 12 yd line they'll come out throwing here to start the drive he'll go over the middle the read complete and he almost gets this to the 30 taken down about a yard shy that's a good way to start the drive 17 yds and a first down good strong throw and catch right there and so far in this game the alleys have been open for them to get completions and they're taking advantage of it on play action love to throw got dobs over the middle it'll go as a gain of four and it's second down a of at the 3 y [Applause] love looking to throw it over the middle and it's incomplete and I think he was a little surprised to see the ball s out there like that that's a ball he had a chance to come away with but it winds up an incomplete [Applause] pass so after the second down incompletion will come up now against a third and six to the air again love he finds his receiver Watson and I don't think he got there no he's short by maybe a foot maybe call it fourth and inches I thought they might take a shot down the field but instead they ran a little drag route there I think they were hoping he could catch it and run away from the defender but a really good job keeping the play in front of them and they force a fourth down on now is the Packers punter as he'll putt it away for the fourth time [Applause] today and this will be taken at the 13 a pretty good punt there but also a nice return of 12 yds and it will be Eagles football first and 10 here's the Philadelphia offensive unit now as they head out to take over possession obviously not the inted goal last Drive they had to punt the football but still they've got the lead here and now a chance to add on to that lead if they can get points on this drive first and 10 upcoming hers and the Eagles come up here first and 10 at their 25 yd line they'll start this drive out on the ground and he's able to take this one up to the 35 yd line 86 yds rushing for him now to this point on any explosive run you can almost feel the ground shaking and that's from the offensive lineman creating space for their Runners I had an Old Coach tell me before that he always told his runners run around the offensive line in pregame get used to the ground shaking so you don't trip and fall when it happens in a game right back to Swift again on second down it's a gain of 13 and a first down for Philadelphia we've seen him break off a big run already in this game and for a second that one looked like it might be another yeah I think that any defense would say look we can't let him get to the second level because sometimes he'll break off the big run on his own but often times you get additional blocking at the second level which gets you deeper into the secondary they'll throw on first down with hers quick slant here Smith what terrifies defense is when they see slant routes thrown as said the receiver is on the move and often times he catches it and gets up field do a really nice job rallying to him and stopping him for a minimal gain from the 47 it's second and [Music] five throwing is [Applause] hers and he couldn't get that one to his man short of him it's low and incomplete a lot of times that first read that you had maybe you get it in pre-nap and he locked in on his Target but he was covered quite well and that one's incomplete they come up now third and five following the incomplete [Applause] pass they'll look to throw work in the middle of the field and he's got a man complete and he is going to have an eagles first down as he's able to get Ys there on Third and five when an offense reads Blitz doesn't matter where it's coming from tight ends know that they become a big part of the passing game because there should be an easy Outlet when all those extra bodies are trying to get to the quarterback a hot route so to speak so from the 39 now they'll come up on a first and 10 they'll look to throw again and this one is going to be Off the Mark too far out in front well they've been back on the heels a little bit here on this drive but a chance to Exhale just a little bit there with incompletion on first down now they have to Gear Up try and get two more stops and escape this drive so line of scrimmage still the 39 on second and 10 from the gun here's Swift they do get a couple but they'll be left staring at a third and eight coming up this guy's well on his way now to a big game on the ground it's another good run there puts him over the Sentry Mark in yardage and we're still in the second quarter eighth play of the drive fourth coming and they need eight yds on third down from the shotgun he'll look to throw oh and Herz is going to be hook and taken down to the ground it's Preston Smith he gets the sack [Applause] there and we've hit the two-minute Mark in this first half of action the Eagles send out their punter now as he'll come on to kick this one away and this one goes angling out of bounds and it will be spotted inside the 30 yd line Packers all set to go again that means we'll see Christian Watson he's done his part but so far it's been in a losing effort so they've got to fix something that doesn't changing anything the way they're throwing the ball around and his catches in production keep doing that they're going to have to fix some things likely on defense to try and slow down their opponents so far he's north of 100 yds [Applause] receiving first down love to pass caught on the right side by Jones and he gets this to the 35 good for a gain of five all defenses worry that whenever anyone catches the ball and has a head of steam come out of the back field it can turn into a big play with missed tackles or he runs through people but they were right there waiting and they stopped him for a minimal gain the clock rolls as the Packers look to hurry things up now a second down throw for love here he'll find Jones again complete and he'll be brought down right around the 37 offensively that's the mismatch that you want you want to force a linebacker to try and cover your back out of the back field out into some open space but linebackers nowadays they run like backs and they take a lot of pride in covering what a nice play he made there in the open field love with it here third and short yardage he's got his Target that's complete and he going to have a Packers first down they needed three he doubled that he got six would it be safe to say that as precise as routes are supposed to be running the NFL maybe they're not quite as precise in college ball that's accurate yeah and I think we saw a college route in the NFL there just find the soft spot find The Dead Zone and find the first down and that's what he just did this one swung out here to Jones and he'll be taken down at the 46 yd line so the completion good for just three and it'll be second down now another timeout called for by the offense as the clock will stop with 33 seconds to go in the first half [Applause] they'll come up second and [Applause] seven to throw now here's love Eagle pressure too much this time down he goes now the Packers going to burn their third and final timeout and with halime on the horizon they'll be out of timeouts from here forward [Applause] these guys have punted four times already and they're staring at a fifth barring a conversion here on third down love going to give this one to Jones the Eagles going to take the first of their timeouts as the stoppage will come with 23 seconds to go till half [Applause] time and here's Daniel Wheeling on now to [Applause] punt fair catch taken right at the 10 yd line so a change of possession here on the pun the Eagles going to get one final possession in this first half already enjoying a two-score lead here late in the second quarter not a ton of time left we'll see if they can work this at least into field goal range and try to get three to add on even more to their [Music] lead just 18 seconds remain till halftime as they come up on First and 10 and they'll run the option to start the drive and he's not going to go anywhere as they get him down behind the line of scrimmage officially it's a Oney loss that's going to bring up second and 11 11 y so we have reached halftime here in an 11-point contest as we'll send you down the coast now to Orlando that's where we find Jonathan Coachman ready with our EA Sports halime report coach okay Brandon back to you guys in just a moment but welcome everyone to our creative Village studios in the EA Sports halftime report the Eagles were LED in the first half by their Dynamic quarterback Jaylen Herz he was on point repeatedly ultimately finishing with four touchdown passes in those first two quarters alone all right coach thank you and we welcome everyone back for quarter number three [Applause] [Applause] the Packers set to get the football first and they are trailing on the scoreboard as we resume action ready for the third quarter kesan Nixon now going to bring it out of his end zone and no chance to get away as they'll get him down at about the 17 yd line here's the Packers offense now getting set to start off this third quarter this offense Charles had a first half throwing the football at least in terms of yardage but that hasn't translated so far on the scoreboard as they begin the third quarter here trailing and looking for a little momentum yeah you're right about that because you know let's face it in the first half most of their focus was in the passing game and to their credit resulted in a healthy amount of yardage so I would think that at halftime they're going to anticipate that defense loosening up a little bit to try and cover the passing lanes they've got to get the running game going and there should be some gaps to run through now flushed out right and he works his way past the line of scrimmage and then slides to a hole he'll wind up getting right about four there on the scramble and it's second down I certainly like what he did right there because he smartly wanted to avoid forcing anything down field because nothing appeared to be open nice harmless slide there to avoid the big hit and he gets a small gain on the play on second down it's Jones and he'll do a nice job here just to find his way back to the line of scrimmage they'll say no gain on the play there now it'll be third down defensively though they had a chance there to hit him for a loss couldn't get it done look like someone was able to knife into the back field but he wasn't able to get him down but his compatriots they were able to grab him at the line of scrimmage and not let him get any further down field love from the gun on third down and this is going to be incomplete have any designs of getting back into this football game in the second half they're going to need to be much sharper offensively than they were on this opening possession not much happening here and it'll lead to a fourth down on now is the Packers punter as they're forced to kick for the sixth time today and a fair catch called for and made just inside the 35 yd line it'll be a 39 yd punt no return and the Eagles will have it taking over first and 10 [Applause] throwing quickly there but it's incomplete speed is the name of the game when it comes to rpos and sometimes you can be a little too quick thus inaccurate incomplete after the incomplete pass here now is second and 10 on the handoff this is Swift and pretty little juke move there on a nice game0 yd for him on the ground now as he has been terrific here this afternoon well if you like the guys who run the ball you're enjoying watching this but the other guys especially the defense coordinator trying to figure out an answer on how to slow down the running game I think maybe starts to call more blitzes because you can call run blitzes in order to try and get more people to the point of attack they'll try and run here with swift a third down gain of three yds and that'll be enough someone's been having a good game so far and you know something a lot has been power running they decide to turn him loose again on third down didn't they they did indeed he delivered the tough yards [Applause] and they'll let the quarterback keep it here on First and 10 and holding it maybe the wrong decision as he stopped in the back field ran Gary that time through the line and getting the tackle for loss well that play never really got off the launching pad he had a linebacker in his face before he had a chance to do much of anything yeah I think his big boys up front that offensive line they've got to do a little bit better job of protecting him if they're going to continue to run the option like this on second down Swift and he'll be tackled at the 45 following a gain of just two in order to play really good run defense when you're playing a three four those three guys up front the nose tackle and the guys they call the defensive ends they're usually big big people cuz they're going to have to eat up a lot of blockers cuz it's usually five on three and when they do their job well guys who play on the inside those inside linebackers they're able to just Roam and hit hers and he is caught and he's going to be out of bounds but not before he takes it inside the 40 he had the touchdown earlier this one's going to get him a first down I'll tell you what a lot of those mid-range throws have been available because sometimes teams get too concerned about the Deep ball and they leave too much space in front of them and these guys have been taken advantage so [Applause] far so into Packer territory now here's first and 10 at the 38 her sets up to throw [Applause] it forced out to his left Nifty move and they'll wind up getting this one all the way down inside the 20 able to find a lot of empty space there picking up the first down and a 21 yd gain bottom line is that he is just something else as a runner because there are not many QBs in this league who can rip off a game that big and he did it with the defense g a little extra attention after you hit him on a run earlier in this series [Applause] on First and 10 it's Swift and he'll take it into the end zone for an Eagles touchdown 17 yds for DeAndre Swift and the Eagles had six to their lead and that's a drive that makes everyone happy on that bench because they accomplish exactly what they set out to do take care of the football eat up a little clock end up in the end zone now they've got to cushion for the rest of the game they didn't just help themselves offensively they help their defense out as well Elliot on for the extra [Applause] point and he's been a busy man five for five now as he knocks another one through to extend the lead so that drive goes eight plays and it was all finished off by the 17 yd touchdown run [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] now after the touchdown here's it on to kick it [Applause] away kesan Nixon now on the return and good coverage there on special teams as they'll get him down shy of the 20 now trotting out there the Packers getting ready to go I kind of feel like they've reached a Do or Die point in this game Charles if they're going to try to pull off an impressive comeback it has to start right here right now yeah now they've got a final chance to get out of this situation but they also understand they've got to move the ball and move it fast in addition they need to save as much time so they can get two more possessions loving the Packers now with a first and 10 at their own 19 yd line they'll try and get the running game going with Jones and fights through one man he is taken down at the 21 after a short gain of two defense is always talk about earning the right to rush the passer on third down and you know what offenses want win first down so that can set things up for themselves better and that wasn't helpful there not a big impact on first down from the 21 here's second down and eight love they go playaction now pressure comes and down he goes the Eagles get there for the sack that sack courtesy of the the effort of Hassan reic they tried to go with a little playaction there but nobody on the defensive side bit Yeah they adjusted in time and in a big way and ultimately got the sack on offense sometimes you're running play action just to set up a certain blocking technique in this case none of it worked oh this is taken in it's complete and he'll take this to the other side of Midfield before going out of bounds able to convert on Third and 14 a terrific play call and that one hurts defensively they force him into third and long had the advantage yet they give up the big play right there yeah their offense was already warming up on the sideline ready to come out so much for that three and out so the line of scrimmage moves all the way across the 50 now as they come up first and 10 now a first down carry by Jones and they'll get this just to the 47 one yd gain I do know from experience that when you slow down someone's running game you're now doing the dictating on defense and guess what now you're getting ready to tee off on their quarterback cuz they have to throw it all the time but you still have to be alert for the draws and other plays of that nature to make sure you don't get hurt ball on the 47 yd line here's a second down and nine now love and that is going to be incomplete as he let him a bit too much just a little beyond the reach there of his receiver that's probably one he wishes he had back he wishes it had been seven on seven in practice or maybe even routs versus Air because that's a completion he makes what 9.9 times out of 10 just missed that one offense in desperate need of a conversion as they come up on third down throwing love able to find the open man that's complete and he has another first down as they'll get the ball down to the Eagles 32 yd line give him 15 there and the Packers have a first well we talk all the time about playing situational football right now I think the scoreboard is dictating what they need to do where they are in this game they've got to push the ball down field take their shots try and get big chunks of yardage in a short amount of time that was a nice play there they go back to the ground with Jones and boy this defense again really making things tough on him as they stop him for No Gain how about the big guy there showing some agility just floow from his D tackle position in order to make that play [Applause] here's second and [Applause] 10 out of the shot gun it's love short throw to musra and he's down into the red zone at the 16 after a gain of 16 first and 10 and with that last play he's now up over that 300 yd Mark and in today's NFL it almost feels routine and I hate that when you talk about a 300 yard passing game to me 300 yds still signifies excellence and he's achieved that in this [Applause] performance so the ball down to the 16 here for first and [Applause] 10 they'll try the right side with Jones and they'll lose yardage here knocked back to the 19 yd line aan coming through with a stop there and a tackle for lost to boot you got to figure the further they fall behind the more you think that they'll get away from the Run they're trying to stick with it but the results they just aren't there they'll have to deal with a second and 14 now after the [Applause] loss up the middle Jones and he'll take this inside the 20 and down to the 18 they'll get a couple yards back but not more than that they'll be be left with 12 yd to go on third down vision is so important for the man in the middle because his ability to to look through all the Clutter that's happening in front of them diagnose a play and then go make it and finish it that's when the great ones know that they have the goods on third down [Applause] love and it's knocked away and incomplete lead so two third down conversions on this drive but not able to get a third and now they deal with fourth down what an excellent defensive stand there in the Red Zone nice tight coverage they certainly recognized how important it was to bring up fourth down here so off goes love on is Carlson for the Packer field goal this one from 35 yds away and his kick is right there it's good and that'll get the deficit down to 15 so that maybe not exactly what they were hoping for but it does get them back within a couple of scores and at this point in the third quarter you don't have much margin for error and that means you can't have drives that end with nothing whether it's a punt a turnover a turnover on Downs those have to go away you have to end with a kick either a field goal or an extra point after a touchdown [Applause] so after the M field goal here's Carlson to send it [Applause] away Scott on the return out of the end zone and he's up past the 20 to the 22 yd line well let's Shine the spotlight on the former Georgia Bulldog DeAndre Swift to set to begin this next Drive he's been a good Workhorse I know we use the word Workhorse a lot but he's been a good Workhorse for him in this one no doubt about it and there's nothing wrong with that that's what you're looking for if you're a back because that means everything's comeing together for you big guys up front of created space you've run through it you've probably got some help even from the wide receivers who want to catch passes as opposed to block but they're helping out too yeah everyone's pitching in he's had a good game they go playaction with hers toward the sideline and look at that catch dragging the toes and that's going to be a first down well done he got 29 yds that time now we get into the psychology of the whole thing because a lot of teams with a two-score lead in the third quarter they almost become defensive with their offense just playing not to lose I think with this team you got to figure at this point this is a great spot for them to go into Attack Mode really try and put the hammer down and finish this one off so into Packer territory now here's first and 10 at the 48 yd line throwing from the gun it's herds goes right back to Smith again and he'll go down but not before getting this inside the 30 backto back receptions for him another first down this offensive game plan has just been Sensational I mean when you think about all the different ways they've got their receivers open so far it's really been impressive scheme design execution on first down Herz he's got Smith here they get him to the ground right on the cusp of the Red Zone after a pick up of five or six they like going to him in the slot he catches another one I think this comes Under The Heading of until they stop him why not go back to him he has something going really well great working relationship with the guy throwing the ball and they keep making the connection here now second and four playaction here's hers it's complete to brown right side just a gain of a couple there and that'll leave him with a third and two the goal of a wide receiver screen is get enough blockers in front to create a wall and let him pick his spot to run the football how about the defense there swarming to it and not allowing that to happen did not let him get down field third and [Applause] two here's Herz to throw and that nearly the pick that they needed he couldn't pull it in though and it's fourth down and that could have been the lifeline they needed this is a play that could have been made instead it's just going to fall incomplete this offense converted once on fourth down earlier now they're out there again to try once more they'll try it now with Swift and he takes it down to the 13 and picks up the first a solid pick up of five and a very solid fourth down conversion and defensively pure frustration so this drive going to continue following the conversion on Fourth here's first and 10 herds [Applause] looking in zone but it's incomplete he's smart enough to avoid the taunting rule but I'll guarantee he quietly is told that you might want to stop coming after me down field because I just broke up another pass and took away a big shot that you were trying to succeed with second and 10 now third quarter action from Philadelphia [Music] PA on the option to give to Swift here and he'll get this one down to about the 10 yd lineing so that time they got the left guard with a hole and let's face it in today's ball you might have that 330 lb guy you're supposed to clear out of there you might need a little bit of extra help by grabbing the jersey and trying to ride out throwing is [Applause] Herz that's complete to DeAndre Swift Out of the Back Field that's good the completion there for seven yds and it'll be a third and about 13 CAU that look from you there partner I think we're on the same page on that one just his first catch I think we both thought he'd be a little more active in the passing game let's see if that's the start of them trying to get the ball to him a little bit more here in the second half now on Third and long they'll look to [Applause] throw and that is incomplete that is certainly one way to frustrate a quarterback R those extra Defenders on the field dime package lots of speed no space to fit into football so Herz is off and on comes Jake Elliot for the eagle field goal this a 33 yd attempt the kick by Elliot is good and that will extend their lead even further so after five touchdowns offensively hey maybe it's time to get the kicker a little work and he's able to connect there I love that empathetic side of you you're worried about him getting some action getting to be a part of the game well he got in and got it done [Applause] after the field goal here's Elliot to kick it [Applause] away and he takes this near the 25 just a little pass there call it the 26 the Packers offense now heading back out onto the field and tough to win games if you're going field goal field goal field goal here they got field goal last time now they'll be looking for a touchdown looking for the big chunk now because as you noted the field goal field goal field goal way of doing it makes it that much harder puts more pressure on every possession for you now go ahead and get six and feel a lot more comfortable about the position they're in bigger chunks we'll see if they can get the score love going to break the Huddle lead the Packers up here first and 10 at their own 26 they'll try and start this drive in the air gets this to his running back Aaron Jones and he's taken down but able to slip across the 35 the drive starting with a first down 11 yards on that pickup well they certainly had success throughout this contest getting him the ball in the passing game and there he picks up another first down whatever they saw going into this one they've been able to capitalize on it and no adjustment has been made to take it [Applause] away and inside give to Jones and a 6yd gain gets him right around the 43 well I think after that run the defense getting back in the Huddle and looking at each other and maybe starting to question their confidence a bit they gave up a significant run six yard and now you're saying to yourself how do we stop them and do I have enough confidence to make a play line of scrimmage the 43 on second and four on the delay [Music] Jones and he'll get it out a couple yards shy of Midfield at the 48 a gain of five good enough for the first down well pardon if the defense isn't going to adjust and they keep giving them those five six seven yd runs over and over they're likely to run it the whole way to the end zone they'll be more than happy to take the yardage available and save some of their other plays in the playbook for another time now whistles here flag down I think one of the Packer linemen was moving that flag accepted and it backs the offense up a little bit still first down a false start backs him up five first and 15 he's got the hook up with DOs short completion just four yds and it'll be second down four y the pick up brings up second and 11 at the 47 yd [Applause] line out of the shotgun it's Jones and a good push there defensively as they stop him at the 48 gain of just one that play reminded me a lot of a former teammate of mine we used to call him the trash man his ability to sip through traffic and make plays was uncanny and that's exactly what you want from your Mike linebacker these guys have punted four times already and they're staring at a fifth barring a conversion here on third [Applause] down pass taken in by his big tight end and he is out of bounds but not before he's inside the 30 that's a third down conversion to 24 yds there nice play it's a nice Zone breaker right there take the tight end move him out to the slot then have him run a corner route versus The Zone coverage which means he's going to be behind the the the shallow coverage and ahead of the deep coverage put the ball right on him so from Philadelphia territory now here's a first and 10 at the 27 running right Jones and he'll be taken down after a minimal pickup and that will take us to the end of quarter number three that's the end of the third quarter we have played three quarters you are watching the NFL on EA Sports and welcome back we are in the City of Brotherly Love Philadelphia it's the Packers who have the football but in need of points as we begin quarter number four here's second and [Applause] seven love looking to throw it and this will be well too low for him to bring in it's complete at this point down big you'd have to imagine this defense they just going to sit back blanket the field as best they can yeah this is actually the easy part of the game for them because just as you noted they can sit back keep everything in front of them but they blanketed the field the entire game using a variety of coverages an eight play drive to this point so here's play number nine on Third and seven here's [Applause] love this this pass caught it's dos with it and he has another first down as they'll get the ball down to the Eagles 14 11 more yards there and this methodical Drive continues those are the types of plays they probably wish they had made more of in the first three quarters and this deficit going to be tough to overcome here in the fourth but a nice first down and a pickup on that throw yeah and this is where as coaches you're looking for effort and execution even though the scoreboard is going against you you want to find out who's going to fight who's going to scrap he going to keep their heads up and continue to play it's a loss of four there bringing up second down the short field shrinks even more with the type of bodies they brought in on that play those extra tight ends they weren't able to secure their blocks and that one ended up going backwards this has been a good March down the field but now they're stuck looking at a second and 14 love from the [Music] gun and Jones has it over the middle and now they're inside the 10 as he's brought down at the nine so eight yds on the completion there and now third down and six to [Applause] go they are in need of six yds here if they hope to move the chains working out of the gun love oh he had him he was open but he couldn't get it to him it's incomplete twice on third down that drive already but couldn't make it a third we always talk about ingame adjustments how about what the defense did there able to shut him down on that attempt so off goes love on is Carlson for the Packer field goal this is a 26 yd [Applause] attempt and his kick is good and that'll get the deficit down to 15 well with that field goal you can argue they needed to get back within two scores and they did indeed do that but still a pretty uphill battle still going to take two fourth quarter touchdowns to get back into it and as you and I know that's a tall order against any NFL defense they're going to need their own defense to make some plays as well to give them an opportunity Carlson back out there now to send this one away [Applause] and he's up across the 25 and down at the 28 Here Comes Eagle offense now as they get set to take over here there two scores on the plus side still time here in this fourth quarter but maybe you start thinking about playing keep away yeah I think here's the situation you're not thinking touchdowns anymore you're just thinking first downs to keep up with your theme there playing keep away first downs they can't touch the ball hers and the Eagles come up here first and 10 at their own 28 yd line they'll come out throwing here to start the drive and that's going to be caught downfield by Brown and he'll be taken down but not before they reach the 50 23 yds on the play partner I like that they're staying aggressive on offense because to me this drive is what is known as a putaway drive you score here that might put this one to bed I like the fact that they're playing with confidence and not playing with fear from the Midfield stripe they'll look to throw open man is got it the tight end and he's Coral but not before getting it inside the 35 16 more on that one and another first down well that should be a reminder defensively and I think it's a reminder to myself because you just can't sell out to stop the run there's still enough time that this offense can move the football through the air even on first and second downs and they obviously pick the right spot to throw the ball there backto back good plays have them on the move on first down her sets up to throw it he'll drop this one off to Swift and the play goes nowhere losing yardage back near the 40 at the 39 so it goes as a completed pass but they lose a full five yards well his completion percentage continues to rise with that one but sometimes you want your completion percentage to go down maybe you should have thought about throwing that one away I was just going to say it is easier said than done but that's where you may be buried at his feet make sure he doesn't catch it great great call right there put it near the receiver no grounding nothing like that but no one gets a chance to pick it off either and they will only muster a yard here to the 38 the defense was ready for the to leak out and even had a second player waiting to double him up if you're going to commit to doubling him back you better prevent a completion but give him credit extra determination extra effort turn it into a successful play so here's a third and 14 back to throw [Applause] again and this is going to be incomplete nice call by the defense there on third down just flood the field with extra defensive backs in their dime package nowhere to go with the football forces the incompletion here's Jake Elliot career long by the way for him 61 yds this to make it a three score game late and that is no good and that will keep this a 15-point gain this one now not over yet Charles you've got a sliver of Hope on that other sideline you certainly do because that would have made it a three-score game and that probably would have been curtains at that point but now if they can get down the field quickly and somehow get the ball back one more time we may have a different ball game Green Bay's offense ready to go again well they didn't fall behind any further thanks to that missed field goal but still staring at this fourth quarter deficit Ling the Packers now with a first and 10 at the [Music] [Applause] 45 love [Applause] now he finds his man complete it's Reed so give him five yards there on the pitch and catch and that'll bring up second down you got the big lead defensively willing to give him that underneath stuff right this is why you work on your tackling tackle them after the catch inbounds keep the clock running just go ahead and bleed the game out that way second and [Applause] five now love short throw to musr and he's got this down a yard or two shy of the 40 before he's out of bounds that'll put him at 77 yds receiving for the ball game it's a first down that was a route run not just with dexterity but with intelligence found the hole in the zone made sure the quarterback saw him and was able to make the short catch and flip the down marker back to one from the shotgun a give to [Applause] Jones and they're able to get this one past the 30 down to the 25 it's a gain of 16 and a first down for the green and gold we'll definitely see some open running lanes and he's taking advantage of it right now but that shouldn't be a surprise defense has the lead they're playing for the pass [Applause] first first down love to pass a quick throw there is is incomplete nice progress down the field was halted by that incompletion they could try for some safe yards here to get things moving again or keep throwing it and pushing it down field to try and pick up bigger yardage and inom complete pass leads to Second and 10 from the [Applause] 25 throwing love over the middle here it's hauled in by Watson four yds the gain and it'll bring up a third [Applause] down on play action love to throw work in the middle of the field and he's got a man complete and he doesn't quite make it taking it with it an eyelash dropped at the one they're able to convert on third down and that sets up a first and goal and in a two-score game obviously every play every third down like we saw there magnified big pickup it was a huge pickup but they really want though is not even get to third down they've got to maximize time and conserve as much as possible first and goal and they got to be thinking a chance to get right back into this football [Applause] game Jones diving for the end zone and he is in touchdown so this now a nine-point difference you figure the book here says kick the extra point make it a one- score game now you and I have seen coaches get overly aggressive in this spot but I agree with you kick it here and get back within a score and now in a nine-point game they'll still just need to go for one [Applause] here as this gets him back with it a touchdown and a two-point conversion so that dries seven plays in length and the last play in the drive was a touchdown run by Aaron Jones [Applause] so now Carlson after the touchdown called on to send this one [Applause] away the lane opens here he's past the 30 Boston Scott and how about that return as he's all the way inside the 20 yd line and that's the type of return that puts a tremendous amount of pressure on the defense now they've got to go out on the field almost like it's a sudden change almost like it's a turnover they've got to go out there and try and stop him but boy what a tough spot there in the Eagles just about set to go to work on offense their lead back down to one score after the touchdown a moment ago first downs a must on this drive as they start out here first and [Applause] 10 back to throw and that one going to be off Target and [Applause] incomplete second and 10 touchdown Jan Herz fighting AJ Brown that's certainly an important touchdown there and makes this a two-score game as we've seen no lead is safe in this one with the way these two offenses have lit up the scoreboard I would imagine that on their Sidelines they're both yelling at their defenses hey you want to get involved here one big play from you that can win the game for us Elliot now to add the extra point and the lead is up to 15 now and that drive started with not a whole lot of real estate in front of them and plus territory excellent field position two plays later [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] P now after the touchdown here's Elliot on to kick it away [Applause] this taken in at the goal line and a good return as he'll be stopped just shy of the 30 yd line the Packer offense now ready to get back on the field this drive here beginning probably with a pair of motivated groups remember the offense scored a touchdown on their last time out looking to repeat that in Charles's defense they were very frustrated after giving up six the last time on the field and frankly it's just a batt of Wills in a lot of ways because you know they're both motivated they both game planed for this drive and they both have specific outcomes in mind to me it just comes down to who can execute better and which side can step up and assert its will over the other love going to break the Huddle lead the Packers up here first and 10 just shy of the 30 they'll begin the drive with a run by Dylan and now they're going to get him down at the line of scrimmage give the tackle to Assan reic defensively we always know that he is tough and run support and I think the way that he gets there is he understands what an offense is going to do before the ball's even snapped a great job of scouting prior to the game then reading reacting and taking the right path to the ball carrier to pass here's Jordan love short throw to Musgrave so backto back plays each get nothing and that brings up third and a full 10 yards as a defense you're more balanced when you're in zone coverage because you're able to keep your eyes on the quarterback and see the play develop in front of you you're able to keep the Quick Pass in front of them and stop it right at the line of scrimmage third down and 10
