[Music] you can do it by your own but not on the highest level the time at the eight station is very short every second that you lose you have to close the seconds afterward so team is very important and I prefer to have always the same team when I started with trail running I went directly down to dreim it's a special place because I was here with my grandfather when I was a child this is nearly my second home we are about one hour away from unleashing 1,700 Runners Into the Night hanis nurger two-time Champion and also the course record holder from 2022 probably the strongest men's lineup we've ever had up against hannz we have the current Western States Champion Tom Evans alongside last year's winner here at the lavero yanis russie he's going to have to work incredibly hard if he thinks that he's going to win for the third time [Applause] I had here a very good old friend Lucas I met Hannis the first time in 2016 so did a lot of races together well he's part of the leading group he also ask me wherea is that's a good sign I think she has to go back to the hotel because Tony was crying we know that Tony is more important than me and that's normal that's part of the life [Music] my name is AA I am the wife of PES today's crew is Lucas and his dad Peter by giving him food and drinks and maybe the emotional point is the most important one and we have together a 9mon old boy his name is Tony to see at the second Ed session was a good feeling for me then I knew that Tony is okay I can run with a better feeling hes always says race starts [Music] here hey Tony hi hell it was super cool to see Tony then on the thir a station it makes me so proud to see him it is neck and neck between Hannis nurger and Tom Evans it's going to be super close I had a strategy was very risky because Tom was always better in the downhill and I was a little bit faster in the uphill and we had a last climb of 100 m and then downhill for 11k I went full Gust in the [Music] down trained the whole season only for this race in every bad moments in the past weeks and months you're always thinking about to cross the finish line e and Tony are waiting that was my dream and then the dream come through [Music] [Applause] and this is history this is Legend [Music] I wanted to to win and see my son at the Finish land my my my wife emotions you cannot control it but it happens and to share it with other people with the family and with the team with the people that I love and it's the best feeling ever [Music]
