ABC Faces MASSIVE BACKLASH For Rigging Debate - Even CNN Calls Them Out!

corners for how distastefully biased its handling of the debate appeared but what I think is most interesting is how even some members of its fellow leftwing Media or lambasting ABC for failing to the economy being the number one issue facing the country the sitting vice president generally reverted to talking points about a few of her policy proposals even haris allies today are saying that she needs to talk more about what she will do for Americans if elected Senator Bernie Sanders will be here in a second to talk about more about the need for her to fill in some of those Blanks on the border another vulnerable issue for Harris she also dodged would you have done anything differently from President Biden on this so I'm the only person on on this stage who has prosecuted transnational criminal organizations for the trafficking of guns drugs and human beings okay that wasn't the question who could have thought they'd live to see a day like this but while CNN's tone here might sound surprising the truth is that merely scratching the surface of the Euphoria for the debate among Democrat circles there's a bigger problem they understand Cala Harris may have riled up her base with an over-the-top body language and laughing in Trump's face during the debate she's doing real damage for the Democrats with the one segment they need most and that is the independent and undecided middle that's what this debate was always meant to be for Cala and yet all of it was betrayed by her constantly bringing up past statements from Donald Trump that were decidedly debunked as being a result of media manipulation that includes things like the infamous very fine people remark about Charlottesville that none of the ABC moderators fact checked as being a complete lie then it was Trump's bloodbath comment in the motor vehicle Market which was taken by the media to mean a literal bloodbath if he wasn't elected again no push back from the moderators who were very happy to fact check and interrupt Donald Trump several times but Cala Harris even brought up project 2025 that Trump said a dozen times he wants nothing to do with and yet none of this was fact checked by the ABC moderators despite the fact that Donald Trump faced push back from the moderators five times in the 90 debate perhaps that's why former Republican presidential candidate V ramaswami even said that it was quote an interesting debate format with three-on-one Donald Trump himself heavily criticized ABC News in a rally in Arizona yesterday where he spoke for the first time in public after the debate on September 10th she went over to ABC which in my opinion has taken a big hit because these two people were bad news they kept screaming at me I said why are you screaming I'm saying myself I'm looking him I always liked him I'm not going to watch him anymore I'm not going to watch him because he's not legit what he did I'm not going to watch [Applause] him and his hair is not as good good as it used to be you know Cala should focus on what she should have done during the last almost fouryear period She kept complaining well you know when I'm in I'm going to do this and I'm going to do that I'm and at the end of the debate I said why don't you just do it you could leave right now why don't you do it and while that's expected from Donald Trump it's intriguing how many people think ABC News went overboard with its attempts at steering the debate rather than simply being the moderators even for former political strategist and adviser for the clintons mark Penn came out recently calling for an independent investigation in ABC news for what he called rigging the debate in favor of Camala Harris here's what he said in part during a podcast conversation I don't know what they told the Harris campaign I think the day after suspicion here is really quite high and I think a review of all their internal texts and emails really should be done by an independent party to find out what extent they were planning on in effect you know factchecking just one candidate and in effect rigging the outcome of this debate I think the situation demands nothing less than that remember ABC News is owned by Disney after all with CEO Bob Iger at the helm of it who openly displays his disdain and opposition to Donald Trump and the fact is in a debate like this one we've seen muted mics means the responsibility of moderating the debate enough to challenge both sides equally Falls more on the moderators you could tell every time Cala Harris would refer to someone like the very fine people remark or project 2025 Donald Trump wanted to interject but since that wasn't possible you'd expect the the moderators to do that job of factchecking since they were happy to do it for Trump here's a peak into what looked like the case of trump on the issue of abortion which both the moderators and Cala Harris hammered on for way too long despite Donald Trump saying in absolute terms that he does not support a National Abortion ban what she says is an absolute lie and as far as the abortion ban no I'm not in favor of abortion ban but it doesn't matter because this issue has now been taken over by the states would you veto a national B if well I won't have to because again two things number one she said she'll go back to Congress she'll never get the vote this impossible for her to get the vote but if I could just get a yes or no because your running mate J JD Vance has said that you would veto if you did come to your desk well I didn't discuss it with JD in all fairness uh JD and I I don't mind if he has a certain view but I think he was speaking for me but I really didn't perhaps that's why the media Research Center study of the entire Us Legacy Media landscape across the presidential race found out that and I quote adding it all up in the networks have granted the combined Democratic ticket of Harris walls 82% positive press while Trump Vance have faced 90% negative coverage and in the end none of it is going to help Camala Harris truly resonate with the Democratic base unless she plays on the front foot and commits to policy positions that the people can trust unfortunately it seems like it's not going to happen simply because the positions she did lay out were betrayed by her own previous statements here's a comparison of what she said during the debate about things like fra rcking and mandatory gun buybacks versus what she said a few years back Tim Walls and I are both gun owners we're not taking anybody's guns away so stop with the continuous lying about this stuff um I support BuyBacks how mandatory is your gun buyback program it's mandatory I will not ban fracking I have not banned fracking as vice president of United States and in fact I Was the tiebreaking vote on the inflation reduction act which opened new leases for fracking will you commit to imp menting a federal ban on fracking your first day in office adding the United States to the list of countries who have banned this devastating practice there's no question I'm in favor of banning fracking I absolutely support and over the last four years as vice president private healthcare options obviously you're not going to have the moderator stop and ask her why she's flipping so quickly on policies that she's had for years and even more so whether the public can trust whether she'll hold on to the ideas moving forward if she can switch up her political platform so quickly perhaps that's ironically mirrored by Joe Biden when we saw a curiously amusing scene after the debate with Joe picking up a red Trump hat to wear and smiling like he's on top of the world but the truth is that the general public is much less excited about this kind of political theater much more concerned about the conditions of the economy and security that impact their daily lives CNN did a focus group after the debate where a surprising number of individuals and independent voters said outright they're not concerned about the debate but their own life was better under a trump economy here's here's one such moment what did you see that brought you to a conclusion I think it's important to remember that we are voting for the leader of our country and not who we like the most or who we want in our wedding party but who is actually going to make our country better and we're in an incredibly unique situation where we've had both of the candidates in office before and we've gotten to see what they would do and when facts come to facts my life was better when Trump was in office the economy was higher inflation was lower things were better overall and now with um kamala's Administration things haven't been so fantastic and she's saying she can fix the problems that her Administration has caused but I just don't know if I can afford to take that risk that's a bad sign all around for Camala Harris since this is the exact segment of the electorate that she had to win over and while she may have exceeded the low expectations of the debate a premature excitement over it in the Democratic base could be disastrous it's because there's an urgent need to correct course in the part's message about its platform rather than trying to bring down their opponent that's also why Trump has ruled out another debate before the election the two anchors David mure and Lindsey Davis sat there and only corrected me on things where I was right but didn't correct Camala on Project 25 that I knew nothing about so because we've done two debates and because they were successful there will be no third debate it's certainly interesting to see how much a single debate is revealed because SE September 10th was likely the last time we would see them on the same stage against each other before November's decisive election right now ABC News may have done damage to its own reputation and Cala Harris may have failed to appeal to the center's crowd she needs but Donald Trump will still need to be on his best game if he wants any chance to clinch victory such a tight presidential race
