Intro everyone it's raj from 3cb lakers dynamic big anthony davis has now missed roughly three weeks following a left knee mcl injury versus the minnesota timberwolves although we haven't received official word from the team that should take place next week during his fourth week reevaluation we did get our first public look at him First new footage of AD in the lead up to the memphis grizzlies game first there was video of him jumping rope you can see that he's wearing a brace on that knee and then secondly there's video of him on multiple angles of him doing very very light shoot around firstly The good news this is a very positive integer because it tells us that he's progressing to higher level intensity and responding quite well all the team has said that he'll be reevaluated at the fourth week in reality the physio and training staff are evaluating davis daily and if he wasn't responding well he wouldn't be on the court doing these activities now that being said secondly The key next step most everything we're seeing here is mostly just direct straight line movement there is a little bit of angular side to side movement on some of his jump shooting which puts more stress on that mcl which stabilizes against valgus forces that's also likely why he's wearing that brace to reduce current stress on that mcl and allow for healing but the next major step in this progression here will be doing that lateral side to side movement and once we see that that's when he's really going to be close to being cleared for full return to activities overall the Closing thoughts fact that he's back on the court doing these basketball related activities a week before his official revaluation does bode quite well for that official point and then further if you watched my video after the team released their official initial diagnosis on his injury i said that the mcl the medial collateral ligament is the limit that you want to injure if you had to injure any ligament because it has a really good blood supply and therefore it heals well and that's very likely part of why he's progressing the way he is i'll keep you updated as we Stay tuned for more updates learn more information you
