New England Patriots vs. Cincinnati Bengals Preview, Injury Report, Analysis | NFL Week 1

it is finally game week Patriots versus Bengals this Sunday to kick off the NFL season I'm super excited I wish it was at Gillette Stadium but this time it's on the road they will be going to Cincinnati Ohio to take on Joe shyy but will they end week one with a win well here's where I ask you guys if you guys think the New England Patriots are going to win go on ahead and type NE in the up in just a moment what's up Pats Nation welcome in a patriot today by chat sports I'm your girl Ally Barefoot and I will be live on Sunday at 100 p.m. Eastern time come hang out with me I will be breaking down play-by-play highlights going through everything all the emotions a fan has watching the New England Patriots take on the Bengals this Sunday but before we hop into that obviously I want to break down my preview for that game but I can't do that unless I talk about the injury report because obviously that's the most important thing going in to week one is who's going to be playing and who's not and the offensive line already sucks for the New England Patriots I'm just going to put that right out there but now they may be without two starters on the left side on jacobe Brett's Blind Side going up against a top sack leader in the NFL it could be Bad News Bears for Jobe brassette but here's the latest update we have on left guard City so and left tackle for Daran low Andrew Callahan said Mayo does not have any update on how they're doing but I do know that City so did not practice on Monday while veran low was a limited participant in practice on Labor Day so they still seems like they're pretty day-to-day to me it looks like they may be questionable as well that's going to be extremely unfortunate because when you do have a left guard and a left tackle that's out well you're have to be looking forward to seeing rookie kayen Wallace at the left tackle position so nonetheless jacobe brassette if you end up watch this video it looks like it's just going to happen to be Sack City for jacobe Bret Trey Hendrickson is an absolute demon on the defensive line for the Cincinnati Bengals he averaged 17 and a half sacks last year for Cincinnati so it does look like Trey H Trey Hendrickson is going to be able to dominate if the left guard and left tackle position are nowhere near up to par to be able to handle a Cincinnati Bengals defense although it's not the top defense in the NFL they were 31st last year in the Run game which will go into favor here for the Patriots but nonetheless when I'm looking at my keys to Victory here for week one I just think that overall it's going to end up being coming down to the Run game how your protection is going to hold up to the Patriots defense and then how the Patriots are going to be able to respond to a lot of new changes that are surrounding them there are still several question marks around the Patriots offense and defense and make me a little bit nervous going into week one so here are my keys to Victory starting off number one let rre Stevenson do his thing ra Andre Stevenson is the only offensive player that actually is going to give me some kind of clarity as to how the Patriots are going to be able to move the ball if you have no offensive line it's going to suck for jaob Bret to try to throw it so when I'm looking at the Cincinnati Bengals in 2023 against the Run they ranked 26 in the NFL allowing 126.2 yard s per game that should be the mo for ra Andre Stevenson run it down their throats and ra Andre obviously looking to really make up for some ground that he missed last year only playing 12 games in last year's season he had 156 carries for 619 yards he had four touchdowns I would love to see that number go up but maybe with Antonio Gibson being more of your third down back you may see Gibson in the Red Zone a little bit more and he average of four yards per carry with somebody like R Andre Stevenson who just got extended in this off season this is needs to be his best year yet I think that ra Andre Stevenson needs to take advantage of the Cincinnati's horrible run defense and let jacobe Bret have a moment to breathe because I promise you every time he drops back it's going to make you catch your breath because somebody's going to be coming for a blitz for a sack or coming for Jobe Bret's ass so in your opinion do you think 1,000 yards this season like I said last year 12 games played 619 yards does he have a th000 under his belt this year like this video If you guys agree number two you got to have number 99 exploding on the defense number 99 obviously being Keon white for the Patriots no Christian barmore as he has no timetable to return right now because of blood clots no Matthew judon he's with Atlanta now so you're gonna need Keon White to put as much pressure as he possibly can on Joe shyy obviously we know Joe burrow did not play a full season last year he only played 10 games because he tore a ligament in his right wrist towards the middle of the season but Joe burrow is a phenomenal NFL quarterback and he has dealt with injuries before in his NFL career and he's always bounced back in a very healthy way so I do believe Joe burrow is still going to have a phenomenal game despite missing seven games last season that's why Keon white needs to be the star on defense he's also been projected by numerous NFL analysts that he is going to be a sleeper this season in the Patriots had a top 10 defense last year like I said no more barmore until further notice no more Matthew judon ever so Keon white who was in his second year in the NFL is going to have to dominate and he already did so far in the preseason he showed us a little bit of what he can do he had a sack in every single preseason game and I get it Ali it's just the preseason season but that's just a preview of what somebody like Keon white can do Joe shyy he can be a very mobile quarterback if he needs to he needs to be constantly pressuring but I do have a few more keys to Victory here for the Patriots if they do want to start off this season one and0 but before I do that I want to make sure that if you guys want to go see the Patriots it it's game time for the Cincinnati Bengals you're going to have to contain Jamar Chase and T Higgins number one yes Jamar Chase will be playing although he has been asking for more money he's been holding out Jamar Chase still a top five wide receiver maybe in my opinion in the NFL right now and last year he had a great year that's why he wants to get paid 100 receptions 145 targets 1,200 receiving yards and seven touchdowns obviously the Star with LSU quarterback Jamar Chase but T Higgins is a pretty lethal second option at wide receiver in Cincinnati 76 targets so obviously Jamar Chase being wide receiver one but he tacked on 656 yards and five touchdowns that's going to be a tough and a tall ask for the quarterbacks and safeties for the New England Patriots but the Bengals did have the 31st rushing off offense last season so even if they don't end up being able to connect with Jamar Chase and T Higgins their run game really couldn't produce anything either so what you really want to do is Christian Gonzalez debril pepper and Kyle Dugger who are coming off to extensions here need to be on lock down Mo when it comes to secondary force them to the ground a 31st rushing rushing offense last season and they don't even have Joe Mixon anymore they now have Zach Moss make them ground and pound I have a question here for you guys will the Patriots any Patriot get you guys earlier in this video left guard City so left tackle for Darion low they may or may not be playing in this game coming up they're dayto day they've been dealing with some injuries since week three in the preseason which means Trey Hendrickson could have a very easy path to lay it on jacobe brusett which is going to be tough Dre Hendrickson almost led the NFL in sacks last year he's definitely a top 10 player 17 and a half sacks the guy is a head hunter not to mention he knows that a knock the ball out of player hands three Force fumbles three passes deflected and 43 total tackles Trey Hendrickson going up against Patriots offensive line does make me a little bit nauseous I'm going to be honest and when you've got a player that knows how to find the quarterback take him down and we have an offensive line that doesn't really know how to close the gaps very well especially when it comes to protecting jacobe Bret on his Blind Side the number one reason in my opinion the Patriots aren't starting Drake Mays because of their offensive line and because of players like Trey Hendrickson one hard hit that could be the rest of his year but number five you're going to have to embrace the mistakes look jacobe Brett's going to get sacked you're going to have Flags you're going to have penalties you're going to have guys just aren't running their routes quite perfectly why because unfortunately the Patriots are in a rebuild year this is just the way the franchise goes they have a star quarterback that they're waiting to start for the year they've got a lot of rookie wide receivers got really young Defenders so the Patriots are going to make mistakes it's going to be tough to watch at some points but you have to learn from M Stakes to get better because let me tell you this and just put it out there the Patriots are not will not win a Super Bowl this year that is not the goal hell I would put more money on the Patriots tanking this season to get the number one pick in next year's draft then put money on the Patriot Super Bowl odds it is a rebuilding year there's going to be a lot of moments where you're staring at your TV cussing it out as loud as you
