you but here's how you can apply for assistance so let's go ahead and kick things off with the lowincome high energy assistance program or Liah guys this is a Federal grant program that assists residents with energy bills during the summer and the winter so Liah it gives those in need anywhere from $50 to $250 that you can use towards your utility bill but the great news is this Li Heap is available for everyone everywhere in every state now some states do have where they offer two different types of benefit payments the regular payment which is the onetime payment that is based on like your household income as well as the number of residents that you have inside of the home and then they have the crisis payment now this payment is for those that are facing a disconnection for a past due balance or even if the bill is prepaid for less than 7 days so this is for everyone okay next I have another program that is the Salvation Army that is for everyone but we're hit it to Florida because if you reside in Duvall County the Salvation Army of northeast Florida they may be able to help you as well so the organization is offering financial assistance to lowi income residents in Duval County and the Salvation Army said that the assistance is available to residents who have received an eviction um a disconnection notice or maybe if even if you have been unemployed for 90 days now your household income must not exceed 50% of the federal poverty level so in Florida that means like a oneperson household you can't make no more than $753 per year and then for a four person household is 15,600 according to the 2024 poverty guidelines by the US Department of Health and Human Services now both of these programs are available for my seasoned seniors but in Florida if you are eligible you can receive $1,500 for rental assistance $350 for utility assistance you can contact the Salvation Army by calling them you can go up to their uh place of business and you can apply for assistance if you are eligible they will go ahead and schedule you an interview now during that interview there is paperwork like income verification assign lease the disconnection notice for your utilities photo IDs Social Security numbers all the things for documentation for all the household members but I seen this happening at the Salvation Army in Nebraska as well next let's go ahead and head over to Texas because um you know it's bigger in Texas but also before I forget for my season seniors and don't forget that you can get a discount on your utilities or even apply for the fixed rate programs as well all right so in Texas they have where the Catholic Charities is partnering with the TXU Energy to offer some relief for struggling families as the TXU Energy a program this uses money set aside from companies every year from the donations from its customers to help those that are struggling pay their utility bills so through this part partnership with Catholic Charities they will evaluate the applications and work with Tex XU to find Qualified customers the current guidelines for them include 125% of the federal poverty level but the organization does evaluate requests on a caseby casee basis as well now you can apply online for Aid or you can go in person to the Catholic Charities of course you're going to need some of the same documentation as well that I just mention but also they had in Texas and koncho Valley Community they had where the Community Action Agency they receive two grants and their grants is open for active duty service members veterans or those that have been discharged from the service and their surviving spouses as well so they have where one Grant it will relieve like Financial burdens for veterans through rental and Mortage uh assistance utility as as well they do have where vehicle payments and insurance payments and then they also have another grant that would be used for your home to make your home safer for veteran homeowners so those that may need like um disabled veterans or you need like hole repairs roof repairs Walls Flooring wheelchair ramps uh bathroom modifications all those type of accessibilities so they do have those two different grants but applicants for the second one you must be a homeowner you can't be behind on any property taxes or any mortgage payment as well so the Texas veterans commission they're urging for veterans and others to go ahead and apply even if you think that you may not qualify they said still apply because if they have the money they're just going to go ahead and give it to you anyway all right so let's go ahead and move on to Pennsylvania we're in Dolphin County the Department of Human Services they launched a new program to go ahead and help residents who have experienced financial hardship due to covid-19 pandemic as well so they have the emergency rent and utility assistance program they have these programs for people who can show that they experienc reduction in household income significant cost or even experiened some type of financial hardship during or due or directly or indirectly related to the pandemic that occurred March 13th of 2020 through May 11th of 2023 so the Dolphin County officials they have emphasized that this program operates on a first come first serve basis um the officials will continue to review the applications as long as there are funds that are available for the people as well so as of right now the applications opened up on July 15th there's funds still available but they're scheduled to close on July 30th as well so definitely guys I would go ahead um they said that the emergency rent and utility assistant program can and will accept applications online through 4:30 p.m. on July 30th as well but don't forget you can Dow 211 as well because hey they always have some assistance that will be able to help you as well all right let's go ahead and head to North Carolina because you guys swear you never mentioned North Carolina but in Jacksonville they do have or offer financial aid for utility bills so the Richland Community Outreach min indry thrift store they also offer assistance for utility bills and rent as well so so if you reside in the Rich's community area you can go to the ministry thrift store fill out an application or apply on site as well next let's go ahead and go to Hawaii okay we're in Honolulu the city of Honolulu has their rental and utility relief as well now they did have a special event that occurred on July 17th but they do have where you can apply online um appointments are required or you can contact the Hawaii Council and they can schedule and make an appointment as well funding for this program is limited to just because you submit any application for any of these programs that I mentioned does not mean or guarantee that you would be or receive any type of funding at all and this is what I have guys this is what I can find the first two programs the Liah as well well as the Salvation Army those are some of everywhere so if I didn't mention your city or state I can probably 99% assure you if you reach out Liah definitely you can
