Stones in gall bladder is a very common problem how to remove them without a surgery? Many people think surgery is inevitable for gall bladder stones, let's discuss non-surgical methods Gall bladder is at the bottom right side of liver The stomach is to the left and liver is to the right Bile is made in the liver Bile mainly consists of bilirubin which is stored for a while in the gallbladder Then it gets released into the intestines the bile when mixed with food in the intestines It helps in fat digestion, when you get a scanning for gall bladder, keep empty stomach for 4 hours When you don't eat anything, the bile from liver will be filled in the gall bladder If you get scanning after food, the bile from the gall bladder will get into the intestines the gall bladder will be closed, unable to scan for any stones etc, so go on empty stomach have only water for perfect results then the bile will enter into the intestines If it does not happen, the motion will be in yellow color due to the pigment bilirubin It gives the motion a yellow color, if we cut the bile from entering the intestines If the channel is blocked from cancer or a stone blocking the bile from entering intestines Then the motion is white in color instead of yellow the bile is very important for digestion There are 3 types of stones in gall bladder, pigment, non-pigment and cholesterol stones So any kind of stone will start like a sand granule and will grow in size over 10 years It takes 10 years to become a 5 mm-1 cm stone which can be detected in scanning Gall bladder stones can be detected by scanning when the patient feels any discomfort in stomach When a stone is found, they start worrying and associate any stomach problem with the stone people cannot stay at peace until it is removed once a stone is formed in the gallbladder there nothing to worry, as there is no book rule to have the stone removed immediately Even though I specialize in performing surgeries there are a few guidelines on gall bladder surgery 90% of the people can avoid surgery and manage with medicines if the stone is small and painless detected in a general check up can be ignored A surgery should be done when the medicines or natural methods do not work and if there is pain in the left side of the stomach and a gallbladder stone is found in scanning They go for an operation as it might be due to the stone, but pain in the left side cannot be due to gall bladder stone as it is to the right side, under the liver pain to the right of the mid line and above the navel can be due to gall bladder, when there is extreme pain you can consider a surgery The second one is if the way out of gall bladder is blocked,you get Jaundice it's a serious issue If the stone is coming into outlet channel from gall bladder then going for operation is better If there is no other complaint but size of stone is 2cm,1 inch or 1.5 inch then you consider surgery Till you get pain you can wait,text books won't recommend surgery for asymptomatic gall stones Once you start getting symptoms like stomach pain,Jaundice then you can consult a doctor If required you go for surgery, it's for 10 out of 100 people,other 90 can heal by medicines in 5 years In patients there are 2 types,one wants to get operated immediately once they find stone in scan 2nd kind doesn't want to go for operation due to fear, even if they have jaundice with bilirubin 10 We should not go for extremes, when required you should go for surgery, if not required be patient So,always take a balanced decision and use good medicines,food, exercise and yoga By using some medicines,we can manage and treat it without pain to a maximum extent like this
