month juice 600 for February we gonna get there right oh yeah yeah definitely definitely without a doubt man I know we're gonna do it thank you what's up Kenny how you doing brother yeah yes sir we're doing pretty good this morning man doing good all right juice uh yeah we took off a little week you know um but you know not a lot happen but you know a lot of 2025 stuff is going on in the recruiting room we already know 2024 college football season is coming up you had a Nick Sab retire you got the SEC it was at the Big 10 talking about coming together making a coalition so byebye NCAA basically um and I had said this before you know not to get jump in too much in the Leeds but when you look at the SEC I'm like why why does the SEC care what all the other conferences are doing with what they play already right right exactly and then you know you got two conferences that's pretty much playing all the rough games and then you get to you know go play your Rudy poo schedule and then come in here and beat us one game and say you're the best right right yeah yeah that would but that would be something nice I don't know if it' be nice to to see um I mean I wouldn't I me personally I don't think the Big 12 I mean Big 10 and um and the SEC needs to to merge yeah maybe they do need to play each other more but as far as merging it it's I don't think it needs to happen um well it's not it's not merging but it's like they're basically I mean for future rence it probably will be a merge but they just aligned themselves because they they're basically putting together like a team or whatever joint co- uh partnership it's like an Advisory Group where they just come out and they I I guess they're gonna partner together about decisions made in college football and playoffs and stuff like that which you know like I said I don't disagree from theu why do I care about all these other conferences when I mean realist basically the SEC Championship for the last multiple years yeah I know SEC didn't wouldn't even end the game this year but I mean Georgia and Alabama this that game I mean you could have took either one of them and Alabama you know they um you know ultimately lost but still Georgia they had a um I mean they lost yeah I mean not to sit here and say that they got slighted or anything I'm not fixing about that um I mean it because to me it could kind of go either way because again what it what it was one of the rules win your conference Championship did they win nope so I mean I like I said I'm not even gonna argue about that but what I will sit here and say I agree with you into that point of like yeah Georgia Georgia probably could have beaten um Michigan Alabama probably could have beaten Michigan so yeah I I I'll definitely definitely agree with you on that point yep and um yeah it'll be interesting to see this 2024 schedule we'll get we'll talk about that plenty but let's get to some Florida game talk man um we it's been the news you know with Florida Gators making some um staff hirings you know uh Billy napir trying to set himself up for this treacherous 2024 schedule I think for me I think some people are saying no it's not that bad I've seen a few people say that um or it's over an overhype schedule but I'll just say that um I think no matter what when you're in the SEC even if Florida didn't change their schedule from uh you know if they didn't add Texas and Oklahoma and Texas didn't join the conference the schedule still sets up to be always uh you know an interesting schedule I know we get to play a few of those you know Rudy poool schools so sometimes it adds up to be you get some easier games you know uh but this one you playing you know even without Texas uh on the schedule you still would be playing you know uh Miami UCF Florida State then you throw in the rivals with LSU Georgia um and then you don't know what Tennessee Gonna Be Right correct all that always sets up to be a schedule that could be very interesting uh it's been a while since all those schools haven't been so great so we know that one school Georgia is going to be good and they've been good for the last few years LSU they haven't they have been actually good the last few years um they got our number so yeah Kentucky I mean like you said I mean you still even got Kentucky out there you got like you said man even if they didn't change anything this the schedule would have still been been one of the tough a tough schedule however you look at it yeah yeah and so he you have to do everything you can to maximize the talent the coaches um going into year three I don't for me I mean you got to make moves where you need to uh I don't think it is ideal in year three to kind of be uh making these shifts and kind of refocusing but I think it is you would like to see that now better now than later from a coach uh I think is like I feel like you had three years to kind of get to a point here where you knew that the SEC was going to be making some changes you knew that 12 team playoff you knew that nil so like you should have kind of prepared uh not saying that he didn't but this is where we are and uh make a hire I think Joe Houston I don't know if it's a if it's officially I a look at the page but I know Joe Houston special teams uh coach from I think he previously coached at the Patriots um and we know that Florida need all the help they can get juice around special teams man been some issues I remember it was at the Utah game juice uh where we had two of the same guys wearing the same numbers numbers yeah terrible right uh we missed a ton of field goals some extra points uh remember I think in the Georgia game what do we have that uh block punt for safety uh that you know you can't give a team like Georgia that those type of points that's too easy for them um then Florida you go back and look uh failed to have 11 guys on the field many times we seen multiple times like man counting numbers you know that easy and they can't get it right so um yeah just get guys on the field man we need that unit that that that's a unit that at minimum you don't need them to make any mistakes just do your job right right right yeah and I'm we definitely need like special teams like think about it whenever we even had championships that special team was always a factor like and we haven't we haven't seen that we haven't seen the likes of a good for real for real a good special team in a long time I mean I probably say maybe in a reason after Urban probably mus champ maybe first year or two because it was still Urban players but but we haven't seen a real we haven't seen our special teams be what what we're used to so I it I hope that this is a great hire and we can see something change here yeah the only time that I felt any excitement on special teams and they only did it for a little bit is when they put cadarius Tony on punts yeah that's when I was oh when we had Freddy swing that was about the only two to be honest with you um uh that was about the only two like I said it still wasn't nothing to just sit here and say hey yeah you know we had a real good special team it was just more about those players pretty much yeah yep um then we'll move on to to you know Florida um you know Landing another guy in the transfer portal juice um ASA Turner yes sir Washington safety um senior 63 200 pounds um great pickup for Florida to bring that leadership he's been you know on a championship team uh or playing for a championship team obviously uh with in Washington um so I I do like to pick up I think you're rebuilding your pretty much your whole secondary from the coach uh you had um a ton of guys you know leave your program right right so you're you're dealing with some turnover there and you have some guys who played a lot of football might maybe not um you know um um extremely good and and Elite guys but you're losing guys who played football with you in the likes of jayon Hill uh Jaylen Kimber Miguel Mitchell um who else I think I'm missing one more we got Kamari Wilson darus Perkins uh and those guys you know that's why Florida you see that uh defense the last few years hasn't been so awesome so I kind of needed a change and bil NE made a change coaching uh the coaching areas and then also being in the transport portal era you're able to go out and get guys in Florida you know some of the guys you'll see obviously um I don't really count them as a transfer but he technically is Jamir Grimley he's gonna be a young guy we'll see what he can do um you know if he can see the likes of the field Florida had a young movement uh and then obviously um ASA Turner you got DJ Douglas you got squeeze uh and then I think that's it yeah and then you got Will Harris on top of that which will Harris is the coach coach yeah uh how you feeling about the secondary how you feeling about um well I mean it's it's definitely um a good pickup a nice size um he did did pretty good um up there in Washington and again you know that's something different than from the SEC but again not to sit here and take anything from where they was at he did play the part um also turn I think that's a good good pick up um hopefully you know because we're going to need some also some leadership back there you know um there there's really not a I'm not trying to sit here and not here not trying to sit here and say any of these young players don't have maybe The Moxy or have the knowledge but you still need that senior leadership as well so I think that's also a good pickup so I'm I'm liking what we got so far yeah I think yeah and the only thing you know I think with depth right and being in the SEC it's going to get very interesting because you're getting guys coming into a new system uh and then even yourself as a you have a new coaching you know within that system and then I think ASA uh he's had a few injuries as well in the past I think if you guys seen some pictures you seen him with a club on his hand he's had a couple surgeries so you just want to make sure you know you got to sh up we don't want to see another situation you know with some of these guys they go out and then we just like oh my gosh here we go like nobody you don't have anybody to pull in fill in right that's of the game in the SEC that's why I always preach quality and quantity is not one or the other got to have both you want to be a elite SEC team um and I'll argue that to my death but um so it'll be interesting to see you know how they um fill in and then you know you obviously got Jason Marshall as well still um coming in you have some young guys step up in that secondary as well so I'm glad they'll be back for their second year um so it'll be a young you know young team and I think getting Mr Turner in kind of help out with that leadership along with Jason Marshall so you should you know sure up guys know how to you know conduct themselves as college football players right right right correct yes sir uh anything else no on that um honestly I I'm just trying to see if if um Will Harris was uh alsoa there doing uh Will Harris ten at at Washington and I think he got one year one year will Harris was at Washington went uh 20 from 2020 to 2021 yeah no uh 2018 and 21 yeah he was there yeah so that also that's going to be something good too uh that he probably have somewhat of a familiar familiar that's why he uh switched yeah yeah yeah exactly there's a big reason why you know kind of just the relationship already there right you know probably why he went to Florida so yeah um familiarity always is good especially you know you've seen how will coaches and he's probably comfortable with them Kenny Hawthorne says Florida has a qb1 going into Spring ball merch should be a top three to top five in the SEC yeah merch I like his um you know his energy that he has I think we all are you know I think my my biggest thing with him is he played with more energy than I thought he would bring in swag that's where I give gr Merz his Kudos and I think that um I love the energy I think where gr Merz will have to improve um and I just read um an article as well um was that read and react Will Miles where he was breaking down uh QB's and Graham mer so uh but I think we all can see it just you know uh even without reading an article looking at Stats you could see that his struggle was getting the ball down the field and Florida being able to get those you know generate those throws down the field um I think a lot of the times they was throwing you know I think Wills had it a lot of his throws at the line of scrimmage and anything after that was not you know amazing um so I think that's where he'll have to improve and Florida you know to his benefit is not all on the QB with some of these down the field throws because you do got to have a little time to be able to throw and I would like to see you know um what was going on with you know pressure uh pressures on him how much time uh versus some of these other QBs that was on the list did he have to to throw the ball and then even when you look at stars and these quality guys in the portal um what you know on the offensive line what did that look like too because I think it's all a part of the story but uh with that being said I think it's part of this the scheme as well um when you start to look at what they were doing and where he was comfortable I think they really LED on where he was comfortable being his first year over here at Florida uh I think there's some ways that they can also help I know he threw at the line of scrimmage a lot but my thing is like I don't think they Ed the running backs very well um you going throw the line of scrimmage like get the backs the ball uh um and that that would be something that I want to see improved on and then uh you know tight end play um you know that'll be another Improvement if you aren't going to throw the ball down the field but I think you're going to have to stretch the field um you know and figure out how to generate some of those plays and use those plays that you do with a lot of that motion end round stuff like that man you got to use those to set yourself up for the big plays right like if I think you just got to figure out how to work that in there and uh never really seen you know you'll have Eugene Wilson going into his sophomore year um then you're you're bringing in a guy who um gr Merz is comfortable with play with right um and then you got some young guys you know still that's on the roster that um got some good speed and then you got some young guys coming into the class so kind of like the cornerback room you'll have um it it'll be it'll be young for the most part in that wide receiver room right um it'll be interesting to see that's all I can say yeah uh I mean you just basically hit every hit the nail on the head everything I was I agree with you um like you said uh mer he definitely he did better than what I'm sure a lot uh a lot of us expected him to do but again like you said it's the short throws if yeah I'm not trying to sit here and say he's a bad quarterback or anything but as far as if you go look at at the tapes in the film it's a lot of short throws like you say didn't really get chance to stretch the field and that's gonna be my biggest problem and but again to your point that's not you can't I can't put it solely on him because if you don't have a time that offensive line was just just we'll call it what it is it was terrible it's just terrible so he doesn't have time anyway to try to push down the field and even when he and even when he did sometimes he it looked good it looked bad but I don't I don't think he was able to get into a a rhythm or because they never did it consistent so and I that's like you said that's something I would like to see more this year is like you said stretching the field going uh taking shots downfield but I'mma Be Honest again and it's it's gonna be like the same as last year I we're gonna go as far as our old line gonna take us because if that old line is not gonna do is not going to be good we're going to look the same way that we did it is what it is yeah and I think with um it'll be interesting to see too because you'll have DJ lagway in there coming in and you know he'll probably get a few plays call call for them and I think with you know when you have a quarterback like gr M who isn't you know super athletic as far as in a guy like Anthony richardon or GJ lagway um yeah it's gonna be rough for him if you can't protect him uh correctly to you know sit there in the pocket and be able to find the space I think that's another thing that he might have to work on in the offseason is being able to you know figure out how to get to that space um in the pocket and use it correctly because if you know that you're line gonna be bling for you you GNA have to figure out where you can get to and set your feed to throw and a guy like who was pretty good at is guy like Kyle trash right yeah where he was able to you know his offens line wasn't so great either I know especially obviously run blacking but even pass blocking wasn't um amazing they did better than what this this uh team did but it still was some times where he had to figure it out right but now the only caveat to that though he really had a true offensive minded coach that could coach SCH you know that was a schemer and like that's the thing you don't see with Billy so it I'm I'm agreeing with you with everything I think too though on top of that Billy also has a play part to playing that because that's what like as a coach when you pay getting paid these amount of money for me I don't care this is somebody else may feel different but for me is as a coach yes I understand you may have your play style and how you want that's totally fine but when you're coming into something new you're G to have to conform and when you don't conform you it looks like what it's looking at right now at Florida and because I'mma tell y'all now you haven't seen any com where Billy has tried to use more of the strength of the players because if he really did that first year with ar we would have won more games because he would have just really you leaned more on AR's legs like I said I don't really know what that whole thing was about was he because AR had did have issues of getting hurt so what but again even you saw this year as well you still didn't even go to the strength of the players like you'll start off you'll make it look like you you were like I think it was the Kentucky game go with Eugene next thing you know you don't even see him no more until fourth quarter it's too late so this is also to me this is also has part to play with Billy as well yeah and um like I said I would love to see um you know where this offensive line is going to stand um you pulled a few guys out of the portal right um and then you got a few guys um leaving for you know the NFL draft with Kingsley so it'll be another situation and Michael mooka's gone as well it'll be another situation where you're bringing in some new guys trying to see if they'll mesh right uh in the system and this is one you know I think this is the biggest mesh point right here on the offensive line like you gotta be cohesive um you know as a unit and you got to be able to insert guys when injuries happen uh and they gotta kind of you know pick up that slack right and this is why recruiting is so important these high school kids on the offensive line is very important and you know uh that's going to be interesting to see when we get to that Point uh speaking of spring game I think Kenny had mentioned you know um gr Merz going going to be qb1 obviously spring game uh Florida did announce juice um their spring game um in April and I think it'll be what is that on Saturday April the 13th so um we got a date man we got a date I cannot wait um ju say he gonna get us down there we'll see y'all down there yes sir yes sir no but we we really do we really do need to talk juice see try to yeah yeah I know you went to the spring game what year um damn that was shoot I think it was 2016 I know um M Wayne was the coach okay yeah and that was that was fun man I mean had a great time down there too so yeah love of atmosphere all right right and then juice we will keep it chugging along with uh Florida has been having some business with Junior day coming up and I think um there's an article was at Gator Country Andrew Spivey had some uh you know a list and who was coming to town yeah yeah what he had on there um well we got excuse me what we had for the uh junior day we had uh quarterback Ryan Montgomery out of the 2025 class that's uh out of and he's out of uh Finley oh Ohio he's 63 215 pounds of fourstar uh we have the likes of Joy between us Georgia and South Carolina um going at them right now I kind of I was looking a little bit of his films man I like I like his um he got a nice little touch he actually has a little lowkey um speed to him so he he he is able to uh run the ball uh but dude I I um I dare y'all to go and uh check out his film uh but we also have a another one uh was a which he's a SMU commit that's it looks like Keelan Russell he's 63 175 pounds um a three star out of Duncanville Texas um also went and looked at a little film on him as well um again he's he's smaller than Ryan montgom but he he he can run the guy definitely can run um also has a nice touch uh but the amazing part I like where he can actually sit in the pocket as well um so he's he's really a good dual threat yeah still got more to work on he really need to put some more weight on that'll definitely be something but dude looks nice uh we also have another QB um we're gonna have two more QBs that was in here other one was Will Griffin out of the 26 class uh he's 63 215 pound out of Tampa Florida fourstar um real good with his deep balls man um pause um dude has a nice touch on on on throw uh but he also can use his legs they're looking they got some nice quarterbacks that's um showing up on on campus so hopefully that'll be a nice little get if we can get for the 26 class he's nice young man then we also have uh samage Bill bills he's also um out of the 26 classes his first time this would be his first time um in Gainesville uh he's 6'2 and 175 pounds but he has no rank so yeah we'll see how that that goes uh we also have um wide receiver Caleb Cunningham he's out of 25 class from Mississippi 63 180 pounds four stars some some sites have him even um as a five star but he's a number one wide receiver out of Mississippi and a number three receiver overall so yeah we definitely know what we what we got going on we definitely need some receivers so definitely need to be looking at him then we also have tight end bear Tenny he's out of 25 class from Utah six um he's 64 64 and a half 225 PBS three star so like to see what um he'll bring to the table looks he actually looks pretty good and uh pretty decent so then this is what I'm I'm definitely going to be looking for uh here is the old line uh so this guy's out of the uh 25 class chaston Brown and uh Mario Nash chaston Brown is 66 a half 258 pounds a four star out of Warner Robins Georgia and Mario Nash is 65285 pounds a three star out of dcab Mississippi then we also have um Mason short which was um out of the 25 class as well he's 65 and 65 a half 305 lbs uh four star out of Evans Georgia he's a former Alabama commit so and Georgia's recruiting them pretty heavy so uh we got to Hur up and try to get on that for real for real um and I think they got him leaning to Georgia right now anyway we also have uh Kaden straight horn say that again what are the odds yeah slim to none but uh especially with what we've been doing huh but anyway uh I'mma keep this thing going because I take this thing to a whole another level if I get on that [ __ ] but um we got Kaden strahorn he's out of 25 class out of IMG he's 63 285 pounds a three star out of Bradington Florida so kid out of IMG which hey we just need to do whatever we can we just need somebody in this old line we we got we have to start recruiting better and actually getting some recruiting in this o line because again I'mma keep saying till they do something there's no reason to have two o line coaches and nobody recruiting now I'm going to the defensive side we got um we got a defensive end um which is a Florida State commit uh Jayvon Hilson 63 63 and a half 225b um fourstar out of caka uh Florida then we also have uh defensive line Adam Adam shovelin and Xavier yeah we're not g to do that buddy but it's Xavier um 64 250 PB three star out of Oakdale Connecticut I'm sorry I didn't get uh Xavier stats um but we had them on on uh campus then we also had the linebacker Christian Jones which is 63 220 20 pounds a fourstar out of uh Omaha Nebraska then we also had Christian gas uh which is 62 and a half 215 pounds three star out of Covington Georgia then our last two we had Bryce these are uh DBS Bryce Fitzgerald a safety 61 175 pound fourstar out of Miami Florida and then we also have Rashad Johnson um a safety 61 180 pound three star from Bush nail Florida so that's who we had um on campus for our Junior days so the these are some good players um hopefully we get we made a mark on on a few of these players hopefully all of them really but definitely for me like I said I'm I'm I want to see what this o line I want to see if any we're gonna start recruiting yeah yeah um go ahead you guys check out Andrew Spivey put the list out over there good work showing us all the um G I think he what Gator Country they have correct yep check them out uh keep up with all the people coming through Florida checking Florida out yes we need all the offensive lineman that we can get and also offensive side of the ball um is is key as well so you know to pair with a nice QB for 2025 love to see you know two Elite offensive tackles uh Elite wide receiver and Elite tight end the match yes yes sir yes sir that Vision so um all right juice um good job there appreciate that and I think that's all the news we got you know for the most part um I think we'll get into you know obviously we got spring game announced that's right around the corner and so we'll be going through and um you know figuring out what these rosters are going to look like and these depth charts are going to look like and uh try to piece together who's on the team and who ain't on the team so I think that'll probably be our next mission and look at some of the depth charts going into that Miami game is going to be very important to sh up your numbers right make sure everything is copesthetic because um you know week zero is gonna be crazy you're right and I mean we already you know coming in lose you know losing to FSU so you definitely last episode we did it uh we had two uh great guys we ended with uh Mr myON Charles and was it um oh yeah we um sorry I got oh Tony Williams yep minin Charles and Tony Williams uh both those guys were good and I don't know if you know juice myin actually um I think it was a little bit I can't remember he actually had a official to Florida as well yeah yeah so we're just basically if you're not familiar if this is your first time uh joining us watching this segment of the show is where we're breaking down we're looking at the top recruits out of the state of Florida according to 247 currently right now there's a lot of Shifting there's a lot of movement these guys are still in high school um finish their junior Years A lot of them are going into their senior years so we're just looking at their film from huddle trying to figure out you know um Florida is so enriched with Talent uh they literally whoever from the big three um I guess you can call it Big Four now with UCF he is a wide receiver mrst Watkins Jr and what's crazy about uh Winston just he's from Naples Florida First Baptist Academy he is 510 172 he also um is cousins with Sammy Watkins okay how that turned out yeah and then his other cousin Austin Watkins wide receiver for UAB signed with the San Francisco 49ers as an undrafted free agent heading to the Super Bowl he has 28 offers and Florida is on has offered him as well some of the other schools Colorado chick Alabama Florida state Georgia so you know this kid uh with his size I just told you 510 172 I would assume that this kid probably is a see here look at this coming off look taking a taking hits from three four guys you see why he has that many offers from these highly tied schools um kid is a weapon anytime you get a weapon like this
