'The Suga Show does it again!' - Sean O’Malley's prediction for Noche UFC at the Sphere | First Take

on that note we welcoming UFC banto champion sha Ali I don't know Sean if I've ever had anyone on the show with a better shot right there leave it to you uh to put on a show how are you feeling this morning thanks for being with us I feel good I feel even better after watching that little highlight reel right there I love that there we go fire it up so um Sean we had Dana White on the show yesterday obviously he's been in the game a long time right I've never seen him so excited about out a card putting this event at the spear we've never seen anything like this in Las Vegas it's going to be an epic show you always put on a show with the Kos how excited are you and what does it mean to you to be the main event at the first show at the sphere yeah Dana was giving me I was in Vegas a couple days ago and Dana took me down to the little sphere room and was giving me a little tour of it and there was no cameras on and he was so fired up I could wa it was watching him get goosebumps on his arms was giving me goosebumps and uh yeah even being around Dana Dana's Dana's The Man He's The Legend being around him gets you gets you fired up motivated inspired but to to this feels different this feels legendary like you know this is my third time headlighting U um pay-per-view this feels you know bigger Sean Mor Rob is is is no joke he's considered Elite obviously his conditioning is off the charts he's well known for that and his grappling ability and what have you some people are labeling him your toughest opponent yet number one do you feel that way and number two whether you do or not what specific kind of threat does he pose to you yeah I it's easier to answer who's the tougher opponent after I fight these guys Peter Jan was a dog Adine Sterling on paper was you know the hardest match up for be of the division put his lights out in two um so yeah Mor Rob's cardio is absolutely insane topnotch one of the best in the UFC but it doesn't matter how good your cardio when you're sleeping on the canvas knocked out [Laughter] sugar when you go into a fight let me ask you a question when you go into a fight are you looking to try to end it or you just like picking your spot and they just come naturally because once you touch somebody they go down yeah I I mean I definitely don't force The Knockout uh prime example my last fight against Cheeto Vera the dude wouldn't go away but I was able to fight intelligently and know how much energy to leas each round um because the dude didn't go away so if I would have forced a knockout I you know could have got put away myself in those later rounds so uh for the most part The Knockouts just come you know I'm very patient I'm very accurate and the openings it's 25 minutes people are saying oh Mara 25 minutes I have 20 25 minutes to find his chin as well Dana Dana White has said this is a love letter to Mexico on obviously Mexican Independence Day weekend you know I want to know what does that style when they talk about about the Mexican style of fighting what does that mean to you uh I think yeah Mexicans are some of the hardest people to knock out you know I've sparred a lot of Mexicans I fought a couple Mexicans they're very very durable very tough they'll they'll they'll hit you they'll get inside get hit to give one back um I'm gonna go out there Mor Rob saying he's gonna box me stand up and fight Mexico that is the absolutely craziest thing he's ever said he said some crazy things but uh yeah I'm I'm honored to headline the Mexican card John let me ask you this um Monday morning what do you think is going to be the headline after this fight at the sphere I think it's going to be Sunday morning it's going to be that beautiful that no you're not going to be able to not talk about it it's going to be the you know a couple hours after it's gonna go I I believe I'm getting these Boston Vibes when I went out there and knocked out Alain Sterling you know a lot of similarities in my Camp you know you know what my weights are you know just just weird little things I'm getting a lot of boss it's Al's best friend morab aljo is going to be in the corner I'm going to enjoy watching alj Jo's reaction after I sleep Mor Rob as well so it's just uh I think it's gonna be the sugar show does it again we have to startop stop doubting this kid I'm an underdog again which I enjoy you're an underdog got fight yeah go ahead Shannon go ahead go no go ahead go ahead steephen go ahead because cuz see I'm wondering I'm thinking about this right now with you know Canelo is fighting on the same night in the sport of boxing at the T-Mobile Arena you're fighting as a sphere obviously you think your numbers are going to be better than his and if so what should that tell us about the UFC or you if that happens I do believe the the numbers will be better for the UFC and us that night I do believe Sunday Monday that week it'll all be about the UFC the sugar show um I'm fighting the the I'm I defended my the belt the bandwe champ fighted the number one guy on a 10-fight win streak in the UFC the best the biggest platform in sporting in in MMA Sports and then canel was fighting a guy I know you told me his name the other day and I forgot it already I just I think this is Burrito think so I thinko I think this is just I think UFC we're going to crush it we're going to crush it well I don't have anything I just want to you good luck Sean uh I'm going to be at the fight I'm looking forward to it and I want to see some Dynamite I want to see somebody I want
