distracted fumble on Illinois won 23 to 17 well you know the Big 10 has had a confusing day I feel like today's just been a really confusing day for all of college football like a lot of things are happening that are a little just confusing honestly like Notre Dame losing to Northern Illinois did not see that one coming um Kent State losing to an FCS team didn't see that one coming although some people in our chat saw that coming uh Marshall you know guys we had Virginia Tech in our hands we had them in our hands the entire first half and really the entire first quarter and instead of letting the clock run out at the start of the first quarter we punted the football they returned it for a touchdown okay and then we ended up with a block punt in the second quarter which kind of you know wiped that out because it ended up pulling us within three and we just could not get over the hump against them today offensively we just couldn't do it but you know it is what it is we tried our best and we got Ohio State in two weeks we got a bu week so it's unfortunate that you got to sit on a loss for two weeks but hopefully we'll be able to figure out what the heck we did wrong that hit the goal post just now by the way ah yeah Marshall Marshall does not have a true qb1 and that's a problem when you have an air raid offensive coordinator and you don't have a true qb1 I don't know how you're supposed to run the Air Raid Offense we have a true running back a true starting running back but he's the backup right now so I'm not sure what's going on there either so offensively we just dynasty here's the college football playoffs we've got um Jacksonville State was the G5 rep they get the win over TCU but they lose to Georgia by 10 points uh Georgia blows out Oregon and it's Georgia versus USC for the national championship game I'm assuming Georgia's gonna win that but we shall see advancing to the next week let's see who wins the national championship game coach stability think is going to get worn down if the offense isn't putting them ahead in the game because what happens is if you don't score on this drive and Oregon does finally uh break through and score on the next drive then you're down seven and the offense feels the pressure of well if we don't score here this game could get out of hand and you know sometimes people can't handle that pressure so this is close loss what does that look like to the voters because you know Idaho did the same thing last week obviously this has been a different Dynamic I think that Boise has been in more control of this game and you can obviously see that the talent with Ashton jenty is there um you know jenty um you've got the talent that Idaho doesn't really have across the board at least not the household names that that Boise has so like I think that is what you have going for you but um if they end up losing this game by like anything more than a last second field goal I really don't think it does that much in the voters Minds because Idaho did the same thing and it's still a loss now if you win this game Boise State's in the top 25 maybe the top 20 but if you lose a close one you've already got some people that are voting for you but I don't know that you're going to like pick up more votes from it and I mean jenty is putting the nation on notice right now like just putting the team on his they are to just run the ball so they had a guy pretend to come under Center he pulled off they snapped at Dylan Gabriel he he did a play action pulled it rocket launched it to the tight end in motion who just got the first down by about a yard so they are now at the 43 yd line and driving Dylan Gabriel throws the ball towards the end zone passing her freak all right pass interference call to be honest with you does it make sense to let Oregon score if you're Boise because now they're in field goal range and if you don't let them score you might not see the ball again this game all the Big 10 fans are rooting to unite against Oregon except we do have an Oregon fan in the YouTube chat now all right so Oregon just ran the ball they've got it at the 21 yard line and Boise is letting the time come off the clock wait it looks like they might have just called a timeout and I think they did guys I don't like where this is at I think it's second down and four I think you you got to treat this like you're you're losing and you desperately need the ball back so either you get the stops here no organ Oregon burned a timeout really did they act why would they call timeout right there the only reason that I can think that Oregon would stop the clock for is if um if is if coach wanted to pull him over to the sideline and be like hey guys listen they're going to try to let us score here if you get the first down go down do not score like you know what I mean call the team over and oh no okay they it was a Boise State timeout they put the of course peacock screwed that up peacock screwed that up a little bit but if you did want to call timeout as Oregon you would say we're not scoring a touchdown on this drive guys we're we're going to go down okay third down in inches for Oregon and Boise is letting time come off the clock which at this point you know at this point I feel like you don't have a choice this this is a really sucky way to lose if you're a Boise State fan first down and you know what the Boise State player made that tackle right there they should have let him score that touchdown he tripped him up he was he was trying to score right there and he got tripped up I they should have let him score that tackle Believe It or Not The Tackle might have just lost them the football game this kicker's career long is 36 yards that's it y'all y'all we we've seen crazier stuff this remember this is college kickers okay we've seen College kickers so there's no guarantee that he's going to make this he missed the extra point earlier what are we even talking about right now the reason this game's tied to begin with other than the missed dropping the ball before the uh end zone is because he missed the extra point to be honest with you if I'm Boise State I let him get on the hash just to offc Center him a little bit and I let the clock run down and save the save the timeout to ice him I wouldn't well they just used their last one man oh Oregon has never beat Boise and you can tell that Dan Lanning is desperate because he has played this game so scared in the fourth quarter and they're going to get away with it yeah they're probably I don't know where you guys are at on your feed it's second and goal 39 seconds left my guess is Dylan Gabriel is going to take this snap he does they're going to run the ball well they ran the ball all the way over to the right hashmark I think Boise was trying to let him score right there potentially so Oregon is going to take a time out it looks like with 30 seconds left and they probably did that because they did not like regardless of what happens here Ashton jenty put the country on notice again for the second week in a row with another three touchdown 180 yard performance against the top 10 team but was it all for nothing fourth and goal Boise States loading the left side of the line takes the snap the kick is up it's good [Music] and offsides on the play they're going to decline that penalty in Oregon has won the football game 37 to 34 wow well GG's organ uh you know if if Jonah you know he's a great field goal kicker he missed a field goal earlier so maybe that comes back to bite him couple things that Boise could have done differently obviously a couple of plays that I think the refs called incorrectly but uh regardless good game to Oregon um great game from Boise also I mean ashon Genty looked great passing game probably could use some clean up but you you were also playing against a lot a much better team so hey lime if you say that Oregon's overrated it makes this look less impressive for Boise so let's just say that Oregon is good and Boise's better you know what I mean because I personally had Boise in my top 25 before this and and I think I'll keep him there i' I've got no reason to drop him out they they played a much better game defensively today against a much better team um you know what more can you ask so you've got a byee to get some things corrected before you play against Portland State and I don't see how anybody in the Mountain West should beat Boise um except for maybe the the the hardest opponent is going to be at UNLV in the middle of the season but I I like their odds to make a run they've got the offensive Firepower for it with jinty they played a much better game defensively today but they're just goingon to have to stay focused Spencer's got to keep them focused on the on uh the game at hand and so that they don't have any silly trap losses or anything like that but they look good how high is Tennessee climbing with that win um I think Tennessee might break the top 10 with that win over NC it was convincing and there were some teams in front of them that didn't look so good so I think Tennessee might jump into uh the top 10 with that one Ethan says we need to start Malachi Nelson you know as long as somebody can get the ball to jenty it it might not matter who the quarterback is this game was different the the DBS really from Oregon were all were all over Boise's receivers today so I feel like you can't really blame Maddox for for the passing game today but as far as wise Matson starting I mean I first of all I'm a marshall fan so this is me speaking unbiased the coach has said that he did a better job in in uh preseason just made better decisions and you know was more accurate so but Marshall's coaches said the same thing about our quarterback and you know he completed 36% of his passes today Boise y um who do I like in college football I like Marshall we lost to Virginia Tech today a game that we controlled well I mean we were like back and forth with them in the first half and then uh we just made some stupid coaching decisions and just didn't win the game so let it get away from us yeah guess who lost today Notre Dame yes they did yep man this this was an unfortunate loss for Boise um but you know what at the end of the season if you're 11 and one and this is your only loss by three to Oregon you're in the playoffs so you're in the playoffs and you're probably a top 15 team if I had to guess so you know you still control your own destiny if you're Boise State and that's the the most important thing you don't have to rely on anybody else to screw up right now oh did Liberty end up losing chat did Liberty end up losing oh my gosh three minutes left in the Liberty game they've got the ball at their own 10 yard line down by two to New Mexico state if they lose this game they might be eliminated from the playoffs early early early in the season which would be crazy that would be sweet uh voles or OU in Norman I think honestly with how Oklahoma looked today I'd have to go Tennessee but if it's in Norman then I don't know might be a toss up but I'll go I'll go Tennessee in that one why not yeah if New Mexico state gets this win that would make this loss a little bit better but listen you know Boise State legit legit Contender this year Texas state is a legit Contender this year Memphis might be a legit Contender this year UNLV might be a legit Contender this year um yeah that's through through week number two that's what I'm seeing right now Texas State UNLV Boise Memphis and you know Liberty but only because they don't play in a good conference but if they lose this game to New Mexico state they're out for me so um that's where I'm at on the the group of five contenders but listen guys um it is 1:45 in the morning I've got to wake up in like six or seven hours so I am going to call it a night wait what is this Liberty game on on some channel oh it's on Liberty goes 11 and one I think that as long as Boise beats you know wazu and UNLV I think they get in um now Texas State looked really really good today they blew out UTSA who was a top four team in the American so Texas State who knows how good they might end up being um App State got blown out today so I don't think they're a concern anymore Marshall's obviously well it's hard for me to say if Marshall's out of the picture because if we lose to Virginia Tech in Ohio State and we win all of our other games but we're not going to I'm just saying like I'm theorizing App State could still beat Liberty and go 11 and one yeah Northern Illinois you know Northern Illinois got the win against Notre Dame today I don't think that they'll make a you know make a run the rest of the season but you know they they obviously got a big win they got a resume building win today New Mexico state's falling apart they got an intentional grounding and a snap infraction so now it is second down in a mile um no it it is literally second down and 25 I think for New Mexico state right now so I don't think they're going to come through I don't think they're coming through to get this win Devin says he's
