also getting bad pressed for charging $18 for a Big Mac out east there is a limit to what people are willing to pay for fast food and Shake Shack is no exception when you raise the price of minimum wage to $20 then what happens is they have to raise the price then naturally people say I'm not paying $18 for a fast food burger from Shake Shack I'll go go cook at home and then the store closes and then those employees who got the $20 minimum wage hike are out of work any could understand this absolute basic economic lesson except Gavin Nome except kamla Harris you know the company said the wage thing is a farce you will be replaced by robots or you will have your hours cut so at the end of the week you don't have as many your paycheck's lower than it was before so now you can say yes I make $20 an hour but I only get 14 hours a week instead of 40 so now I have to work two more jobs so that I can pay my bills I'm not saying that there aren't jobs in this industry or in the restaurant industry worth $20 but I don't think working a shade Shack is again I don't blame the employees for taking the money go ahead but they should be looking for jobs elsewhere because Shake Shack McDonald's Burger King Pizza Hut dominoes they cannot afford to pay their staff $20 an hour without then raising their prices and they know that the consumer will not be open to paying enormous prices we've seen that happen with McDonald's and everywhere else you know they need more companies they need you see you're closing some stores due to the profitability will hold up in other locations you're just going to find that those other locations will also see declining sales over time just cut your losses and move on to greener pastures you're going to see basically every location and snakes and Stak Shack shut down in the California area and any area pushing these absorbant minimum wage prices like Washington or I think it is in Oregon um or Seattle where they have some insane salary for Uber Eats and Uber Eats is losing their tail because no one wants to pay $75 to have food delivered I mean even I have completely stopped using food delivery services except for the rare occasion because it's insane the fast food's already expensive now I have to pay $5 delivery fee and another $7 to $10 in tip that's crazy for $40 $40 to have um Arby's delivered you think that's hyper it's not that's really what it costs and after tip it's insane so something's got to give and what's going to happen is this industry is just going to shrink I hope you are enjoyed this video I
