That Is Why Declan Rice Chose To Play For England | Ireland 0-2 England | Match Reaction

how are we doing guys and it's finished isand Neil England 2 and you could have just written this script couldn't you all week we've been hearing about Declan rice and Jack GRE especially Declan RI because the Jack grey situation for all of the you know people out there that don't actually know both players um represented Ireland before they switched their allegiance to England um and if you don't play a competitive game it's just friendlies Etc I believe it is um you can then you know make the change basically um Declan rice was more um a bit of an issue for the Irish because he played free friendly games um you know was being talked about as a future Captain um for Ireland there's an interview where that question was posed to him after a game um and then he basically says see you later and moves over to England and lo and behold 11 minutes he goes and scores and within 25 minutes Jack greish scores and the two players that the Irish didn't want to score go and [Laughter] score um Declan rice didn't celebrate very reminiscent of the um you know West Ham one last year and uh Jack greish he most definitely celebrated um and that would be the only thing that I would say to Dean rice is just going celebrate you've just scored for your nation you're English at the end of the day I know you got family that are Irish and you don't want to you know be disrespectful or whatever but you're not you scored a goal for your country go and celebrate you're in front of the England fans go and do it the West Ham thing I get it you know going back to their place straight after you've you know left and everything you achieved and whatnot and you know maybe in a season or so in a couple of Seasons when the dust is settled and it's not as fresh you can celebrate if you go and score against West Ham and but yeah this one just go and celebrate just jump in the crowd just have some fun you've just scored for your country and enjoy it but the Irish they will be absolutely livid about that I've seen you know so many polls this week and things that are crazy online people saying about four fouls against Declan rice and you know what the bookies and the odd should get in and they want him smashed and all the rest of it there's a big problem you need to be good enough to even get near him to smash him and the reality is is that the Irish players are not good enough they are poor um so yeah it doesn't matter if you wanted him smashed four five six seven times you couldn't lace his boots and you wouldn't get nowhere near him um and yeah they had you know six shots on goal all game only one on target comparison England 16 nine on target the passes 713 for England only 204 for Ireland 204 that's insane at International level what are they San Marino my word um but yeah look listen International Football three weeks into the Premier League season don't get me started on it because I think it's an absolute joke we're just excited about Premier League coming back after months of European not European International football with the euros and everything and now we got to sit through this driil and it's just like oh really again you know UEFA Nations League or whatever the hell this thing is now it's not even like a World Cup qualifier or Euros or something that has you know a pot of gold at the end of it it's like a it's just rubbish why are we interrupting a Premier League season within three games man come on like do me a favor seriously um but yeah look listen it was very very easy you look at England's group they've got Finland and Greece and um yeah I just I just look at it and I just think it's just a waste playing these games and oh oh and it's always the dreaded injuries with International Football you look at calori and the situation with Italy and everything and oh I can't be bothered but listen at the end of the day um England got the win uh life after GTH Southgate and I tell you something there were some bits and pieces that I saw in there and the way that we play football and the progressive way that we were trying to play um was a joy to behold and um you look at the first goal the pass from Trent Alexander Arnold what a ball that was um and this is a guy that was asked to play in um you know Midfield um at the Euros when he could have easily played that inverted role like he did today he does for Liverpool and get himself on the ball and do what he does best with that creative spark that he has um so yeah listen at the end of day it's job done I suppose that's the main thing at the end of it is it but um yeah listen um it was decent we don't know whether Lee Carley's going to be the permanent England manager um I'm looking at and thinking to myself who would you bring in as England manager I can't see the fa going down the foreign route again and picking a foreign manager um you know I know we had Sven gor and Erikson U May rest in peace as well um Fabio Capello I think that was an absolute failure um so yeah I can't really see yeah I just I just can't see it I just can't see it um I've seen some people say Jurgen klopp I for the life of me cannot see England appointing a German the England national team appointing a German it it's just not going to happen is it um but yeah look listen at the end of the day if you know Cosley was doing the job that he did with the youngsters and whatnot and he's playing a certain brand of football and the players respect him and you know they reciprocate what he's trying to you know relay on the pitch and whatever him why not so be it see what happens s can't be worse than Southgate ball can it my word that was absolutely tiresome at least I enjoyed some of that game today um yeah I think the only thing is that you know we should have been a little bit more clinical and taken some more chances and whatnot but overall it's a win it's 2-0 and the funniest bit is after all the abuse this week Declan rice and Jack greish of all people go and score the two goals that win England the game against Ireland the Irish should be fuming tonight oh but listen it is what it is at the end of the day um yeah we'll see what happens in the next game on Tuesday but um yeah that is it um England get off to winning ways 2-0 deam rice Jack greish with the goals and you got think Jack greish didn't even go to the Euros he sat at home
