foul back one down base is empty foul ball and it remains a full count the Lefty fires foul will'll see another payoff pitch he's mixing his pitches really well late on that fast ball after seeing the good demonstration of what power pitching is all about he's got the stuff obviously and right there he used it to put his opponent away without needing to waste any pitches and next is the designated never had time to but that kind of velocity you'd prefer that pitcher work away trying to send this to Extra Innings got him looking for the strike out that's the third out and we'll play Extra Innings in this one nobody left for Milwaukee still tied three and three back here at American Family field on to Extra Innings stepping in Freddy Freeman and the pitch swing and a miss strike oneall that one misses and it's one and one way inside really been able to slow down the game tonight with his it bats and the biggest one he's had so far he doesn't look anxious at all man it's second walked in and that keeps things going that's a great if bat he saw a lot of pitches and earned a walk second walk of the game for him and he's been really patient at the play a game plan that he's sticking to he's just not going outside of what he's looking for up there Rosario in the box now take strike one there it was a high velocity fastball in the zone I think a little frustrating ation from walking the previous hitter he's got good stuff pitch inside the zone and trust it and he o one and fouled off B is loaded two down and here in Extra Innings inside just missed close pitch there and he's kind of wondering where it missed you know getting a feel for each umpire strike zone is something that pitchers and hitters really have to think about and work on from game to game and sometimes from it bat to it Bat gets under and Pops it up sizing this one up and that's the third out and the Dodgers leave him loaded score remains tied at three he thought he was going to be able to do more with that pitch a runs scoring opportunity but a weak popup he'll be frustrated as he headout back here in extras and a new pitcher on the mound in the bottom half of the inning Evan Phillips runner in scoring position no outs now at the plate s Frey here comes a pitch that one finds The Zone that's strike one up the middle On The Run throw to first and here in the 10th the leadoff man is out Joseph Ortiz up now for the Brewers now a pitch out and perhaps they were protecting against the squeeze winning run it third one down and we're in the last half of the 10 next pitch in for a strike and the count one and one definitely a strikeout situation right here lots of ways for that go-ahead run to score if the ball's put in play kicks and fires swing and a miss one and two gets a piece and stays alive I think ultimately you want to tie him up get the ball in on the plate so that he can't get the barrel to it and hit it to the Outfield struck him out looking I don't know what he's looking for right there you have to be ready to swing the bat you can walk it off if you're just a little more aggressive now it's the second baseman Bryce terang swing and a pop off in foul ground pulls it down and he makes the catch and that will end the inning Milwaukee leaves one so no change in the score it's 33 welcome back and on the mound to start the 11th inning number 54 bringing in the Lefty with a left-handed hitter coming up to hit classic Bullpen move right here so we'll see how it works out go ahead run on base and at the plate for the Dodgers Cavin viio the pitch swing in a miss going to really need to hang in there with that front side against this left-handed breaking ball and strike two he's falling behind in a huge spot boob got to do what it takes to come through maybe choke up on the bat a little bit spread out those feet whatever it takes got him swinging and that's the first out well that pitch wasn't even close to being a strike and that just goes to show you how defensive hitters can be calm when they're up against an 02 count you're just hoping for a mistake somewhere near the zone that you can get the bat to but right there he was the 11th right through there for a strike no need to offer that pitch until you get to two strikes it's just a low percentage of success when you want to try to go after that down and Away pitch man here to the batter now William conteras the pitch and he grounds one to the right side side Lux one up one down that's a good piece of hitting right there the job was to move the runner up and give they can move back give themselves more time on a grounder to make a play a lot more ways to work out of this and strand that runner at third now so next it's the Brewers cleanup hitter willia Damas and the Way's going in this one we've been waiting for his spot to come around again all right listen everyone stop what you're doing right now this guy's got two home runs already now he's going for lives for big moments and right there made a statement big time that's the exact definition of hitting the ball where it's pitched taking that outside fast ball and driving it the opposite way out of the ballpark you want to bottle that type of approach and next for La Freddy Freeman right through there for a strike can be tough to bounce back after a big home run but nobody on nobody out you just have to treat it as a fresh inning nobody out with a pair of runs across in the frame here deep into Extra Innings next off bring is in for a strike that pitch started in and ended up on the outside edge just changing planes and very difficult especially for a left-handed hitter to track and now one and two and that's awfully close I don't know how you take that he's seeing the ball out of the pitcher's hand really well right now and downstairs really nice slider right there sweeping across the dish but just couldn't hang the edge got him looking down on strikes and there's one away here in the 12 oh you know that's got to be very frustrating for this guy he knows the strike zone extremely well and you know what good hitters are not going to compromise he'll take that punch out but UL to Milly stick with his plan and have more success than anything else now the left fielder teoscar Hernandez that one outside and that's ball one still only one out here in the inning swings and blasts one deep to left Center Mitchell really on his horse for it and an automatic double as it hops the fence that was loud contact and a no doubt doubled off the bat I didn't know it was going to land in the bullpen though and he's really improving his accuracy out there it's almost like he tried to do it on the bound now Nick Ms pretty tight game so they're looking for Quality pitches out of them right here got to do his best to keep the score right where it is [Applause] and now the center fielder Andy PES just missed man it's second and it's foul away here's a 1-1 and another ball [Applause] next offering is foul back one out and a runner at second and we're deep into extras and that's off the Inside Edge counts full three and two HS and misses it's a strike out and now the right fielder Jason Hayward first pitch doesn't find the Zone meanwhile activity in the bullpen Jared kanig appears to be getting loose Hernandez stands at second with two gone swings through that one for strike one man he was really Tardy on that fast ball great job of setting him up by throwing the curveball add some velocity to it on the next pitch can't catch up and that one wrapped foul [Applause] waves at the Bender for the strike out so they get two runs on two hits one of them left the yard and now we'll see if what's left of this crowd can rally their troops bottom of the 12th coming up it's the Dodgers five and the Brewers welcome back and here comes the closer Michael copc I think closer has to be one of the toughest jobs in baseball and we see a pretty leading off Barett Mitchell Corner infielders guarding the lines trying to prevent extra bases the pitch swing and that ball smashed on the line and a superb diving catch grounder tags it second save hitter's got a broken hard on that one it had base hit written all over it maybe extra bases great diving catch for the upset reys Hoskins up now for the Brewers foul off down the right side with the tying run at the plate and the home team trying to pull it out and strike two the tying run at the plate [Applause] swing and a miss got him to go up the ladder for the K Bo gets talked about a lot but a good high fast ball and a two strike situation it's just become such a problem for hitters in more recent years but with all of the emphasis by pitchers on developing that spin rate having a good grip on the baseball those High fast balls they kind of look like to The Hitter that they're Rising even though they're not but they're not decreasing in velocity and spin rate so very difficult to get the barrel on it tying run at the plate lifted in the air right center field sizes this one up he'll squeeze it for the final out and the Dodgers finally put an end to this one in 12 well when you go on a road trip you're looking to play 500 or better and the only way you do that is when you scratch and Claw in you grind out and they did that in this one 12 inning win on the road very impressive players are going to come into the clubhouse for the next game they're going to be pretty encouraged about how they pulled for each other a 53 final score in this one Dave Roberts and Company celebrating in The Dugout for Chris
