Lions BREAKOUT Candidates AFTER Detroit Lions Minicamp Ft. Jameson Williams + Sion Vaki

today's video we're talking about players who broke out in mini camp in OTAs and their trajectory is going in the right direction now these players maybe it wasn't expected for them to break out some players you potentially in a contract year some were injured these players who did really good in OTA a mini camp and I think with what we saw we can get a good idea if they're going to make the team or not what does it mean for the line what does it mean for their depth chart in the roster we're going to go through all of that in this video so let's get started right now before we get started blow up the comment section with players who you think is going to break out for the Detroit Lions it could be players that I have on my list or somebody else blow up the comment section let's get this thing started the first player that blew up in mini camp for me and I think it really elevated his status for this team is rookie running back Sion vaki when we drafted this guy he was a safety SL running back we didn't really know what he's going to be and minic Camp he has blown up okay so he's an individual that you can use on special teams he has been excellent on special teams for the Detroit Lions in Min Camp the best player in special teams he is absolutely in my opinion he made the roster he's got great great hands his hands are soft he catches every everything the guy probably is going to be in a in opportunities in 2024 to be on the field and offense catching those footballs because of it he's got an extremely high burst from nothing the guy has a high burst and he can run in between the tackles as well so it's not just that he's a passer he's got some legs as well comparing him when I look at what we we heard read saw at mini camp I compare him to theoretic for the Detroit Lions a guy with excellent hands who he's not the the most you know dynamic player on the football team but the guy can get it done in the pass game and when I look at Canan vaki all of this he's learning fast I think that he has made the Lions roster already in my opinion unless there's an injury or something crazy but what he has shown in mini camp has given me this guy to say he's a diamond in the rough he's going to be used this year in special teams and in offense and I think that he's going to make an impact like we've seen in years past with other players like a theoretic I I think he's going to be utilized like that I do from what we've seen in mini camp question for you pick a running back CR for Craig rolds okay SV for Canan vaky who would you pick one over the other blow up the comments now next player on the list here is Jameson Williams he has been exploding in mini camp now we've heard some things he he still made a couple drops yeah he did he still needs work but right now he's making gigantic catches big catches not just in the middle of the field but we're doing bombs and I know a lot of lions fans wanted to see Jared G throw it to Jameson Williams you know for the Deep pass we've been hearing that and they're doing a lot of that in mini camp his route running is is much improved from what it was pristine route running he's confident when the ball is there his strength is much improved and that is a testament to his work work ethic and the mentality for this football team he has developed into a physical player at 180 lbs that is very difficult to do I mean he's he's not a big guy he's only 180 lbs 61 but what he did last year is 354 yards two tou Downs 14.8 average I expect to double almost nearly triple that I think he's going to have close to 900 yards maybe uh six touchdowns I think he is going to have a breakout year we've seen it in OTAs in mini camp we've seen him getting better at the end of the year and is just continuing on and him and Jared Goff are still getting together and doing what is needed to be done for these guys to take that next jump and for Jameson Williams to be number two you look in the depth chart he is number two he's doing a lot of good out on the field yes it's not perfect 100% in mini camp he did have some hiccups but it is improving significantly and I think that we are going to have a good Jameson we're going to have a player who's going to be ready to go to take that number two spot over just everything is working for him right now in mini camp now look doesn't mean it's going to turn out good because he's doing it in in practice you have to do it on the field but if you mix what were what he did last year at the end of the season as well as what we're hearing right now in mini camp I think we all suspect that he could have a breakout year I I think we all should kind of put ourselves in that position really really should because I think that the lions are on the verge of doing something pretty special right now they are doing something pretty special so I got a question for you name a player who you think breaks out for the Detroit Lions it could be Jameson Williams Sion vaky it could be somebody else but I want to know who you have as a breakout player don't just go off what I say what do you think who is going to in and it again could be offense defense special teams someone that's improved significantly from last year to this year let us know in the comments below next player that I have is broken out is Mitchell a good The Edge rusher not a lot of people even know who this man is but he is he's a seconde player undrafted last year and he is really winning his one-on-ones right now in mini camp he did he was him and aah hundson were the ones that was winning one-on ones he's really showing a a an improvement and you're seeing it right now you're seeing him on the depth chart right now he's sitting in the second string okay Mitchell a good and it's because he did really well in mini camp he has multiple moves it's not just one move he's got multiple moves for that defensive line he's got a big gigantic burst off the line of scrimmage and he is developed as a year two player so we we've seen a lot of development from this coaching staff from year one to year two for since they've been here you're seeing the development Mitchell dude who no one is talking about is the one who's developing the best it seems like right now so look you never heard of this guy out of Miami probably not but he is making an impact for the Lions roster and when you look at that dep chart and you see him sitting there what we're hearing in mini camp I I think absolutely he's going to have a breakout year because nobody hasn't done anything last year and secondly you can see it through the depth chart he is rising so this is going to be a player I think he's going to have a breakout year I think he's going to make the team when I mean breakout I don't know how many sacks or anything like that but he didn't do anything yesterday or last year we didn't expect him to do anything this year but he's doing it so I think he breaks out for the Lions it's a good good thing next player that I have breaking out for the Detroit Lions is Levi Anar and he showed Improvement last year but he's really seing Improvement right now in mini camp and it's believable I think he's going to make the roster now before this before we heard about mini camper otaa Z said he's not I think he is why is he's doing well his pain is gone in his back where he had the the fusion and he cited that the pain is gone and I got to tell you what I'm sure there's still going to be some uh pain and arthritis that he has but I actually believe him I think that he knew exactly how to do his recovery his rehab his mind is extremely strong he he bettered he he outdid me I mean I had a neck fusion double neck fusion and he's still playing his strength is much higher than it was last year because the pain is gone he is working out hardcore and you can see it physically and that's a good thing it's a contract year generally speaking players who trying to break out will do that more improved on a breakout season so we're seeing his his you know his ability so far in mini camp he's improving each practice and that's what you want to see and he's already uh pretty good but he's improving and that's good and again in the depth chart he's Rising on the depth chart when you see that you're seeing a player who the players are liking this guy is getting the work done and Levi and U is doing just that last year only had 19 solo tackles two sacks zero force fbl zero interceptions it's going to be much higher than that much higher um I think he he can Elevate he could double the the stats for sure probably triple them because they not that much and that's his career stats so this year I think he's going to break out he's going to have a a good season for the Detroit Lines and he has to if he wants to get paid he surely does and I do believe in him I do believe that he is going to come in strong for uh not just mini camp but in the preseason as well as the regular season question for you pick a nickel cornerback AR for AMI Robertson BB for Brian Branch put who you want to be starting at the nickel in the comments right now next player here my last player is a breakout player who broke out mini camp here tyon Arnold yes he's a rookie he's still breaking out he's extremely fast he's staying with his receiver he's not fast 40 fast but onfield fast and he's staying with his receivers everyone he's win against he is sticky a little bit grabby but he's showing that he could be a man corner by turning his head being a little bit physical in the the line of scrimmage physical throughout the Playdoh we just don't want to get a pass interference call he's extremely confident my God this guy does not lack confidence that's not Cockiness he knows his ability and he showed it in mini camp he's making plays in mini camp multiple interceptions against Jared gof starting offense not just backups but Jared gof he's making these plays and it's going to continues to get better he's already starter on the depth chart he's already there so when you have him as a already you know the lions like what they're seeing right now from tyon Arnold and we have no stats besides College to look at for tyon Arnold that is true there's no NFL stats but last year in college he was really good five interceptions we we talked about it a million times Teran is going to be a good quarterback yes there's going to be times throughout this year he is going to make mistakes he's a rookie but make no mistake about it he is going to have a breakout season I think he could be Defensive Rookie of the Year he's going to be in that mix and guess what Vegas believes he is a a high up there as well to get Defensive Rookie of the Year so the uh all the all what we're seeing is exactly what I think he's going to break out in this upcoming season I I really really do so those are the players that have his breakouts again let us know who is your breakout player could
