NYT Connections, Mini Crossword, and Strands | Aug 22, 2024

Intro [Music] Connections let's do connections we're finding four groups of four we have an egg story sunscreen Moon re streak post Globe deck speaker floor toilet paper another two worder mirror level and projector things on rolls I don't know I'm thinking about what toilet paper would do hey yesterday I thought we had a projector category in today there's projector that's funny um I mean projector and screen and speaker are part of a theater what else would be part of a theater a mirror maybe there's a floor a reel there we go wait so this is the category I thought we were going to have yesterday I think this is it um let's try it okay I was little bit worried that mirror would be involved but all right classic movie theater equipment let's see egg things that are egg shaped moon in Globe like eggs aren't quite spheres but neither are the moon in the globe technically the Earth is like a little bit because of the rotation it's a little bit oblong right just just it's hard to see but it's there um the sun I don't know Sun Moon globe and egg I guess I'll try it not even one to away okay darn I got Bamboozled so what do these have to do with each other then um globe and post sound like newspaper names story Sun definitely Sun I've heard of a newspaper called the Sun the post the globe and I don't think story would be it but like what else would do it I think I'm going to have to hold off on that cuz I'm not sure toilet paper clearly um level what kind of level are we talking about so level of a building a level in a floor in a deck like on a ship your deck number and oh story like this yeah like a the story of a building okay I was thinking of story like you tell a story tier okay so am I still thinking Globe post and Sun if so I might be able to figure out what the other category is H I'm not convinced because I I don't see how oh like I think mirror like the Daily Mirror it sounds like that might be a tabloid or something I don't remember newspaper names okay mirror is a is one of the more obscure ones it just suddenly came to me that oh wait I think I have seen that all right toilet paper moon egg and streak what I almost want to say things that go on a roll right you got toilet paper goes on a roll an egg can like you make an egg sandwich it can go on a roll and then when you're on a streak you're on a rooll literally like as the phrase but I don't see how Moon would be that but that's what I'm going to go with prank verbs oh mine's more fun even though Moon doesn't fit you egg you ah egging someone's house mooning streaking toilet papering okay gotcha yeah I don't know if I was going to think of that one let's think of the difficulty here um the difficulties there were just a lot of words with other meanings and also a little bit obscure that mirror would be a newspaper name and I'm not sure how many people are going to understand the prank without it being the last category some people might see that um I don't know I'm going to give this like a 2.7 let's see 2.8 so I was pretty close all right uh well how' you do let's do the Mini Crossword mini crossword for Thursday August 22nd and I accidentally already hit play we're going to need another vowel probably in this eye here but I'm not I'm not seeing what it would be all right what else do we have going on here I'm trying to think what smoothie moves would be I mean are we talking literally about smoothies or I mean I thought I saw slushie but I don't SLU things you do related to smoothies H ingredients I'm trying to think what we're looking for here huh we've got in here maybe T I'm thinking p R I don't know what I don't know what word we're doing I haven't seen anything yet whip I'm going to try it okay the action um pulse okay are these blender
