Metal Gear Solid: Delta - Snake Eater - 5 BRAND NEW Details You Need To Know

[Music] Konami has been showing an increasing amount of Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater in recent weeks and the company has now offered another look at the Remake in a recently released production Hotline video the company showcased the upcoming remake again revealing more details current development status and why there is no release date yet Perhaps the most important question is regarding a release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater konami's noriaki okamura Lead Series producer confirmed that they're still not able to name a date just quite yet we're working very hard on the development I promise said okamura but we're not just yet at the stage where we can say with confidence exactly when it will be out however he did confirm that the entire game is already playable from start to finish so we know it's not going to be years and years nothing like that I'm pretty sure the development team is seemingly at the polishing stage ensuring everything works properly we're at the stage of check this part fix that looking over everything and taking care of any issues and as developers we want to take our time with that to make sure everything is done right once the team has a clear picture fans will hear about it during the production Hotline in the meantime okamura asks for their patience why the game won't be dubbed a hideo Kima game though the game is build as pretty much a shot for shot remake of the original Metal Gear Solid 3 it's not going to be dubbed as a hideo kajima game like the original was and noriaki has explained why okamura touched on how it will handle credits by specifically listing the original game's development team as such the development team had a lot of internal discussion about how exactly we should do the credits but we settled on one thing right away we weren't changing the names so it was always going to be the original staff not the current team okamura explained from there we had to say okay so how do we do it we thought about just leaving in the original credits from Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater but we also had to try and consider how members of the original staff might view it for instance since if we had changed the credits would they be hurt they weren't included and on the other hand some would probably think why are they crediting me when I didn't work on it so we decided that the way to handle it would be best to credit people as original programmer original so and so and so on listing their titles like that seemed best okamura then confirmed that middle Gear Solid Delta won't start with the line a hideo kajima game like the original did instead replacing it with based on Metal Gear Solid 3 since gojima hasn't directed the Remake himself okamura went on to cite prior examples of metal gear titles that were directed by himself not by coima that also did not open with the a for mentioned line such as portable Ops you might notice that a lot of metal gear titles start with the line a hideo Kima game okamura said but in Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater you'll see it says based on Metal Gear Solid 3 instead I just want to take a moment to make sure everyone understands why that is it's always been the case that games Mr kajima didn't personally direct don't have a hideo kajima game so for instance I directed a few Metal Gear titles like portable Ops or the digital graphic novel so neither of those open with that line the same with ghost Babel which was handled by another producer so for Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater we decided that it just made sense to follow that precedent why Delta is too faithful to the original Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater has looked increasingly promising each time Konami has shown it off and one of the things that has given fans confidence in how it's shaping up is how closely it is sticking to the original game but while its faithfulness to the source material is obviously a positive for many especially for a franchise that is returning after such a long Hiatus others have wondered whether maybe the game is playing things too safe for instance it was recently confirmed that just like in the original the upcoming remake will see all of its areas separated by loading screens rather than the entire experience being seamless stitched together surprising many whether or not that sort of design is dated for a modern stealth experience is something some have asked since but the people working on the Remake have shed some light on what Konami decided to take this direction nyaku akamura spoke about Metal Gear Solid Delta receiving criticism from some for being too faithful explaining that though there were intense internal discussions early on during the game's development about whether not to keep the originals design completely unchanged the team ultimately decided that it was important to stick to the original game's Vision so as not to change the gameplay experience too much I would just mention a few things about this being too faithful and the thought process behind that he said when people ask couldn't they have improved on this or wouldn't it have been better as a more modern stealth game with much more freedom to it now I do understand where they're coming from and in the early stages of development that was actually our most hotly debated issue but at the end of the day well we saw discussion of how it feels outdated to go to an area and nothing you do there affects other areas but that's just how the game was designed the Rhythm and the shifting pace of game playay flows from that choice if we had done anything to change that overarching design it would have changed the game entirely and given what we were setting out to do we questioned whether that really fit with the vision for this project so we decided that we'd rather come down on the side of being too faithful and maintain the original design of Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater instead of trying to rework everything okamura went on to add that though there's certainly been criticism over the remak's faithfulness there's also been plenty of coverage where that level of faithfulness was pointed at as a good thing so I think players might just need to see the game and try it for themselves to decide if this approach Works he said though Metal Gear Solid Delta won't be making too many drastic changes with its story and game design it will still be introducing plenty of quality of life improvements from a compass to quick dial for the codec in addition to Quality and performance modes playable at TGs 2024 the development team confirmed that Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater will be at Tokyo game show 2024 best of all the team is setting up demo stations for attendees to try out the Remake there will also be spots based on in-game scenery providing chances for photo ops furthermore Metal Gear production hotline has been confirmed for the event it will take place on September 27th from 12: to 13 p.m. local time Metal Gear Solid collection Volume 2 confirmed okay we are going slightly off the rails here but a second collection of Metal Gear Solid ports is in the works Konami has confirmed okamura elaborated further on why that decision hasn't been made explaining that unlike the games included in volume 1 other Metal Gear titles don't have existing HD ports that can be used for a new collection while those that are already in HD are quite large in scale which comes with its own challenges we had HD ports of mgs1 2 and three or sorry not really for one but the other two okamura said but most of the titles released after those don't have a pre-existing HD port we could use some are in HD but those would all be really big titles and that comes with its own set of issues so with all those factors to consider with the lineup anything along the lines of what's in it or questions like how long will it be development when will it be out it's going to be a little while until we can get a clear picture but when we do we'll let you know here okamura then went on to very explicitly confirm that Konami is indeed working on Metal Gear Solid Master collection Volume 2 before acknowledging the issues that volume one launched with and providing assurances that the company will avoid similar mistakes with the next collection of course we called the first one volume one so we are making a volume two that much is for sure okamura said we're also worried about how volume 1 had a pretty rough launch with all the issues so we're going to do everything we can to not repeat that but we just have to ask for everyone to give us time the iconic opening moment Metal Gear Solid 3's opening is of course an incredibly iconic one and this being the faithful Recreation of the Original Classic that it is here the opening will be more than a little familiar to returning fans except it looks significantly better of course we don't get to see how the actual HALO jump itself in the snippet that Konami has shown off but we do get to see the opening couple of minutes with naked snake in the plane gearing the up for virtuous mission [Music] flying over Pakistan
