and like so many matchups in Theus establish themselves as veterans who know how to win football games yeah I think the word of the day is defin ER two guys who've been through the season several times over have seen a lot at this point in their career and been through quite a bit on the field all that experience is stored up there right between the ears and the one who is more skilled at leveraging that experience more than likely is going to come away with the win honors Carlson ready to get us started and we here Ino and a good return here as he gets it out the5 here the their opening drive they're let out by QB coming into his fifth NFL season out of Oklahoma it's Jaylen Herz Kate it's not often that we talk about quarterbacks having a nose for the End Zone in football it's usually reserved for the running backs but Jaylen Herz has changed that conversation he has so much power so much strengths you get him into the short yardage situations or around the goal line he finds a way to get in but it's not just there he's got a deep ball that's many he's elevated his teammates around him and he's got a skill set that I know a lot of quarterbacks would sure love to have here's Barkley and he won't it's a on the third and for them to figure out operating from the gun here's this one finds and he'll pick up enough to move the chains that's what we call situational football you spend all week working on your nickel passing game package to take advantage of third Downs just like that into the hands of Campbell and they're going to him down just shy of the 40 many of their young players could grow and emerge into a playoff team they did just that nobody questioned Jordan Love's physical traits it was the accuracy it was the anticipation it was the Nuance conservative on first down especially when you get enough to stay on schedule and get a little something coming out of it too toss play to Barkley and he'll have a short pick up down to the 17 they got two yards there that leaves him with thir throwing the gun tries to that one up and it's intercepted the rookie from Georgia has it well they were thinking at least a field goal on the drive if they couldn't reach the end zone right but the interception keeps them from even getting out of this possession you really hope at the end of this game you don't look back and go should have would have could have if we could have gotten out of that drive early we wouldn't be in the situation we are in now second down now seven to going again with Jacob and he's caugh behind the line for this is one of those situations Kate where I watch the body language of the running back because it' be very easy for him to raise his hands up look to the sideline in his old line and go what am I supposed to do there and down he goes the Eagles and the defense comes through that's going to back him and bring upth out and he's in a real tough spot for his first kick and he gets it away from his end zone ball taken in at the 36 and they bring him down to put a stop to that return chance here for one final play before the end of the quarter on first down Herz tight end reels in the shallow throw and he gets it the 50 and down to the side of the field will ready now for our second quarter the Eagles have the football they've got second and five from the 4 Barkley's got it and they're going to bring him down at the 36 they'll move the chains after that pick up of first down ball the 36 back to throws that is caugh on the right and they catch up to until he's got a huge gain and a first [Applause] nice plays here and we're going to see plenty more before this game ends but you might be thinking with plays like that my guy ratings should be better well you're not alone you got a chance to let inside the running on first here with Jacobs and he's going to take this down inside the 25 before being stopped a nicey pick up they're going to have second and four shot now for love quickit game where we all get to put up some serious numbers especially he keeps throwing it like this connect with Dallas and that'll bring up down shotgun snap for hers this one finds and he's going to be brought down at the 42 time out taken by the Eagles that's going to be their first short yardage situation here it's third and two that one's incomplete the connection but some in the connect with Dallas and that leaves them with a decision to make on Fourth and short on fourth down hers escapes the pocket he's running for it they only needed a couple and that is what they got not the most impressive gain but a big one as they get the first you know you don't have to be an elite Scrambler or the fastest in a 40 time to make a play like that all you need is awareness see where the marker is and know when it's time to forget it yourself and he can't esape the Dr Philadelphia going to spend it second time out off to the line for second down trying again following theck this one is Packer off headed out to start the third quarter that passing game they went to in the first half it's going to need to be firing to start this second half too as they chase this lead thrown on first down love that one's incomplete over the midle I think you're seeing why they like this guy inage man he reacts well thr and so adep breaking passes right through contact before they ever reach the Reed the touch down he's throwing for it conversion nice catch in the end zone there they're back within a field goal now critical twoo play there Brock the conversion puts them now in range of tying this sucker up with a field goal so different for everybody in the building right a threo game and especially for the kicker he wasn'ted there Drive starts out with a first and 10 starting on the ground here with Barkley and they finally bring him down but that is a big gain and a new set of down just one play into this drive and they're already sitting on their own 45 a play fake now hurts to throw he got hit as he was throwing and unsurprisingly incomplete second down coming up on the play fake it's hurts he beams one deep right side Defender arrives right as the ball does and the hit knocks it free incomplete last pass unsuccessful and they have third down here HS to throw he'll get this one to Brown and he's able to cross Midfield before going out you know I I like the completion you never turn down a completion that's just not the right throw to make in that spot to move the chains looking to throw he finds it beyond the marker and he's marked down looks like at the 32 yd line keep this drive moving after a big 18yd pick up on fourth down it's a new set of downs for him at the 32 on first down Herz that's into the hands of Barkley and the defense gets there to force a small L I know coordinator quarterback going to be upset with that first down because you call a screen on first you're thinking stay ahead of schedule even a minimal gain to stay on Pace but instead that defense creates negative play and sets him back behind the sticks this one is tipped away and incomplete good positioning to make a play on it that for [Applause] third throwing again he's on the move he loses the football and the fumble recovery is made and a nice gain here but it's stopped short of the first almost the impact searching for but they could only get half the job done partner fumbled forced but they couldn't recover I'll tell you what else it forces though that coordinator that play caller on the other side now got a little bit of doubt about his ball handlers got to have better ball security than that so the defense Rises to [Applause] the Jacobs gets it to start the drive what a sweating to the ground five on that carry bringing up second and [Applause] five from the 2 he's got it to run a and the out oh but the fumble goes out of bounds close call there from the gun it's a to Jacobs and the power play up the gun only results in two yard that's a run that's on the stat sheet but if you see a bigger play on the ground later on largely be because of a play just like that one softening up the front and opening the door for a bigger Gap in the future heag and that PES him back third coming up that sure ended up being a worst case scenario pass rush just kept coming and coming and bearing down and he was looking for an escape that wasn't there it's one of those plays in hindsight Kate where you really got to understand I got to cut bait cut my losses and avoid such a Negative play that one is caugh left side of the field K I can't tell you how good that is anticipating the outut having the on the way before theer's head turns he puts it on him so that receiver can easily get out of bounds for the nice game so this one over the sideline and they'll spot it where a touch back would go at the 20 yd line the Eagles and this running back headed back out for a new series they've certainly had no issues scoring but their opponents have been right there with them so they could really use some more points on this drive first down r with Barkley and the middle holds they don't get anything on the and to get some here operating from theun here's tight re in Shallow throw and that's good with a set of toot the chains Mo chains momentum to keep that defense on it heels first down throwing for hers he had it for a moment but a great defensive to jar incomplete couldn't connect it's second down shotgun snap for Herz makes the catch and he'll get it up to the 44 still on the coming to the line for first and 10 barley trying up the gut and he'll cross the 50 and start pushing onto the opposing side of the field well this certainly has been a memorable contest for him coaches man they're going to take this kind of output every single game this goes a little beyond the expectations they have for maybe even for himself what impresses me so much Kate the guy just doesn't Tire getting stronger literally as this game's going on and he's going to get stopped right around the 45 yd line it's a four yd gain and that's going to get him across the marker and earn the first Ys from the [Music] gun's and the big play drives them backward second down coming up again this one is tipped away and incomplete good positioning to make a play on it that forces third down I think we're starting to get a feel aren't we of why they like him so much in coverage he reacts well to throws is super Adept at breaking up passes through contact or like that one before they could ever reach the Target caugh by his this one's the 33 being theys first and throwing here hurts pass complete to Campbell and he's brought down they're going to Mark him at the 14 a 19 yd pick up and that's going to move the chains and they've gots first [Applause] and on the hand offley and he's for a back to the line they it's second down this is the end of the third quarter it's Eagles football trying to carry this lead across the Finish Line all right here we go second down they go to Barkley again moving in the right direction that time but only two yard picked up so it's third and N hers looking to throw just got doe kick Jake Elliot this is going to be a 31 y from the right fly the heart of the lane and it's good and now their lead will push out Beyond a field goal so after that make the field go won't cost him a lead but a touchdown still ties it likely probably puts him down a point K this is one of those moments where the defense now has Clarity they know what the stakes are and what they have to defend and he's going to make this to the 28 before going down now here comes the Green Bay offense they struggled to produce on that last series but better results take possession here he Kate the best kick returners I was ever around really at any level they want this opportunity they want their chance to help their team they know they're down but they also know that return especially a good one like this can set the offense up for success that's complete to musr down the left goes they rip a hug Chun of field as the reset you know K we often talk about flipping the field in special teams right a kick return a good punt well exposive play like that does the exact look at [Applause] the and the big blade drives [Applause] coming another try following the flush to his left he can R it and this is going to be aen the tie inord love third total score and the kick is good and we're going to have some extra yard added to the kickoff on the ring call they for roughing the kicker and now this kickoffs going to come from the 50 let's see if they Loft in and try to stick them deep Carlson all set now for the kickoff he got that one out of the of the end for a Philadelphia's offense back out for another Drive they find themselves down here in the fourth after that touchdown this game could end up depending on how they respond right here a give to Barkley and they love to see him fighting forward but he only gets him three second down now s from the pistols right caugh byi they catch but not aain and a first here's hers into the hands of Campbell and they make the stop we're going to say about the 37 yd line after a good pick up they're set up with second and quick touch pass to the receiver escapes it defend it's a nice on theed by that broken tack on that and it's enough for the first now hers time rolling right he he it the yd the and Y the play and it Awards them with a first and goal going to run with Barkley breaks the t's the it's second and goal try again with barley and he is into the end for a Philadelphia the Eagles Take ath quarter lead Squan Barkley the he's throwing for it and this is caught so add a couple more to this lead they've got here in the four all right Brock they win we all expected a pass was coming and they do indeed go to the air and connect on that strike for two yeah once you empty that back field it does certainly Kate alert that defense to pass and then it comes down to disguise it comes down to timing especially on a two-point with everything condensed Well Done by that offense to go get to the Green Bay offense about to get started once more still time to go Bron but that touchdown has him down now seven they've got to find the end zone here they'll get this drive started first and 10 from the gun Watson with the catch and he's up to the 35 yd line as they reel him in shot J effort to that going for that play goes for eight yard and it keeps Drive moving that's certainly a spot where you could be more aggressive Kate if you want to take your shots some coaches even the boulder ones will take the safe play first when they get it from time to time no third down required now first down throw here's love he's got Watson and not much doing he stopped quickly down seven to love out of the shotgun short pass caugh by his tight end and he'll pick up enough to move the chains it sure seems like he knew exactly where he was going with that before the snap that's a pre-nap decision that led to a post Snap first down set of the 4 thr down love that one is incomplete couldn't hang on through the contact see the pass time up your hit and jar that ball loose not a lot of players are hanging on through a well placed hit like that one and 10 love trying agains Jacobs complete out ofs after a small game that's a defense's goal right K just get us to third down can get off the field that was a good adjustment on that stop in particular when the back ended up being the Target and they were able to keep him short of the sticks beyond defense at least not yet scored twice really been the one his group can turn to for a spark or a big play when they've needed it first and 10 from the operating from the gun here's hers forced out to backs it's one of the best things to get your offense into Rhythm and a nice little gain on top of it he's got [Applause] it this game has already been a good one for him Brock and hey there's still he could on even more and you just feel his aggressive mindset all game long as long as there's time left he's going to want to keep on firing and turn a good performance into a great one look at this here he goes and he takes it inside the5 heading out pick up of on that play and that's a Philadelphia first down here he is to throw and he can't escape the drop him and the big play drives them backward second down coming up and look at that all that effort from the previous play it is gone credit to this defense who snapped and clear that's part of this game you got to snap and clear give up a big play come back and make a big one for yourself and they do get home that and he's brought down after a throw to left sine complete and they finally bring him is a big gain and a new set of down quite the time crunch here Brock but still two time to burn it's first down straight ahead here's Barkley he's only able to power forward for about yard Philadelphia going to spend it second time second down now seven to go here's another carry for Barkley and again he doesn't manage much before getting brought down musters up three yard on the run that sets up third and four and with two seconds remaining in our contest we're going to see what both teams decide to do with this final play this game now resting on the leg of Jake Elliot and with two seconds remaining in our contest we're going to see what both teams decide to do with this final play now it all comes down to the veteran conf marching out for this moment very kick here from the right the kick is good he got it and the third time he puts it through will be the charm they it so it's an Eagles win here in this one and with overtime in their back pocket they weren't going to lose it at the end but they still
