Eagles 53-Man Roster Projection 2024 | Locks, On Bubble, Cut | Depth Chart | Preseason vs Ravens

[Music] no what is going on everybody thank you for tuning in to another edition of on the road to Victory I am your host Jimmy Smith and I hope you're all having yourselves a great Thursday night we are here for the projected 53 man roster getting ready for tomorrow's pre-season game oh my Lord you gotta be kidding me that's right eals football and yes I know some people feel a certain way about the allseason preseason I'm a sicko though and I know you sickos enjoy every little bit of the Eagles that you can get so we're going to go over talk about the roster here at each position who I have as locks who I have all in the bubble and who I think is most likely going to be cut and then at the end I'll show you a little something something I uh threw in here I wanted to have you know these pictures and um I I had other pictures too and I I'm G to try to add them here real quick because it's not necessarily how I wanted to do it exactly but regardless I'm going to show you each position who I have and then we'll look at this dep chart thing I got together but I'd love to hear your thoughts on all this the quarterbacks running backs wide receivers whatever's on your mind you think we need to add help you think uh you got a certain position you have locked in whatever's on your mind I'd love to hear from you appreciate you all taking the time here hitting the like button start it off we're going to look at each position here so we're g to start off with quarterback and think this one or I'm sorry let's look at the special teams first because you already know three people that are making the team so we're going to talk about 50 guys that I think will make it you already know the three specialist Elliot levado man no competition there got levado and man back this year excited for it let's go so quarterbacks obviously Jaylen Ur qb1 Tanner mcke Kenny picket these are just going to be in alphabetical order so don't look at it in any certain way I'll show you the dep jar at the end but you can see uh I have Will Greer not making the team because I think he'll be that practice squad quarterback that coach slash player who you know knows the system he knows Kell Moore system he knows What doug nme's looking for the quarterback so he will be relaying that throughout this offseason as he has and I think it'll be a big help here in preseason but I I think those three are the quarterbacks there now let's take a look at running back and any thoughts you have on any of these let's go and you know Jaylen Herz MVP season coming up just letting you know but running back here I've got saquan Kenny and will Shipley as locks on this team and I think that right now um you know I I meant to put them in on the bubble but uh you've got Davis price Milton Nicholls and I think that for me you know those guys probably won't make the team maybe they add somebody else but those other three those are locks for me I don't know that you have to go with four here uh but maybe somebody steps it up here would not mind seeing any of those other three uh but uh look we need to see some preseason action here first this is just giving you an idea where my brain is at now and just trying to gauge where you are at as well so looking at why receivers here I've got AJ Brown Paris Campbell annias Smith Devonte and Johnny Wilson and I think Britain cvy could definitely make this squad um I think he's going to because of his return capability but if he can step it up as a receiver it's sure fire making this team but um I'm not just going to give it to them but I do think they like those rookies they like their new addition in Paris Campbell so uh I think that could be the wide receiver room and those other guys that we've talked about do not see them making the team I've stood firm in the fact that I do not think John Ross will be on this team so that's just how I feel let me know how you feel now up at tight end look Beyond calcatera with GD I'd like to put aoma in there and tell you that oh yeah he's definitely making this team but I'm not sure if you know any of these other guys want to step it up push out Ooma the possibility is there EJ Jenkins Rogers who was just added yesterday we talked about him he will get a chance to compete Albero and then of course zoma as I mentioned but we brought in folch and you know we've got you know competition but I still feel a little worrisome there at tight end hoping that calcatera shows he has developed and uh look man one of these other guys want to step it up that'd be greata I've talked about I liked him as the tight end three but I need someone as the two that's how I feel about the tight ends then the offensive lineman you know beckon provides that versatility can help you at tackle or guard Maybe starting got Dickerson Fred Johnson healthy Lane Johnson cam Jurgens drafted Keegan Milada and Steen here now all in the bubble look we need depth so Gat Hennessey Canard McMahon to all these guys they're gonna have a chance to compete here and I do give you my projected 53 at the end here don't worry like you're gonna add these up be like what the hell but I'm showing you who I have his locks and don't worry there'll be a key for this dep chart you see as well but somebody needs to step it up you know I liked Adam Dana as an undrafted guy but I think he's a practice squad guy I don't think he makes this roster sharping um I'm not sure he makes it not even sure Hennessy makes it maybe you know Canard out of that list in the middle there Brett toss versatility could definitely help him Dylan McMahon was drafted he's got some versatility hasn't shown much but uh I have him on the bubble because of that so that's the offense and obviously mentioned the Special Teams there but um you know I think for me obviously this team uh lot of question marks at a lot of positions here now what I was talking about with this uh key here so here is the depth chart we're looking at on offense here are I have 25 guys if they're green or white I have a making the team if they're white I think it's a tough call I'm not sure that they are making it I apologize at the tight end position um I don't have Alberto EJ Jenkins or Amman Rogers making it it uh was calcatera zoma and Goddard so again a little rushed here today keep getting calls on my phone as I'm live here um explained I was a little busy here all right but uh you can see you know how I have the running back position the quarterback that's kind of going with what I just mentioned there and then you know looking at the offensive line um gay tennessy I don't have making the team I don't have to I have Canard and McMahon making it uh but some concerns there if something were to happen to Jurgens well maybe you could just call Kelsey back or you could put Dickerson there so there are some options but not sure how much they're going to like Gates not sure they like Hennessy too much right now so uh we're GNA get some of these things answered here soon but that's how I feel about the offense right now I have 25 guys there so obviously I'm going to be talking about 25 guys on defense here and there is a lot of competition to go around especially on the defensive side of the ball so we're going to jump into that second let me see what you guys got uh no I don't have that as I was saying there that is not in order that is alphabetical order for each position but I will show you the depth chart there as I just did for each offense and defense Nina just gave you a shout out the other day I know we're all busy out there but always love to hear from you die hards I hope you are well hope the family is well and uh look I know you're ready for tomorrow I'm ready to run through some walls baby I'm gonna be getting off work getting home and we're gonna be having a pregame show I cannot believe it and we're going to be talking about all the players to watch for pretty damn excited that countdown begins It's Gonna Fly Right On by so I can't thank you enough for tuning in Linda hope you're doing well here and uh yeah these guys will be fine all that stuff uh but uh yeah anyway so let's keep it going with this rejected 53 and you know for me obviously this defense there is so much I'm going to be watching in this offseason and these preseason games it's going to be very important but uh let's start it off with the interior defensive lineman and this is a battle I'm looking forward to so Carter Davis aomo Williams I've got them all making the team as locks Gabe hall tupou now I feel more so that tupu is going to make this team but maybe Gabe Hall surprises Us in these preseason games you know he was one of my guys before the draft that we talked about that man it's going to be hard to you know put him out there and maybe somebody grabs him off waivers instead of allowing him to go to the practice squad that would suck but I do like gab ball a lot like toot to think he makes his team not so sure muster or Booker do but I think they are likely candidates for the practice squad now the edge Defenders we've got a healthy rotation here and I've told you how I feel about the interior guys Carter Davis Williams they're sleeping on the wrong ones those dud are going to feast and then on the edge I think they're sleeping here too we brought back BG drafted my guy jayx hunt let's go we signed my guy Bryce off free agency I can't restructure sweat Nolan Smith coming into his second year very excited about those five guys I think you know aquara Patrick Johnson could you know be that six guy Patrick Johnson with his special teams prowess he can play a little off ball that helps now guys like Lewis and Brandon Smith who can play off ball not so sure you know maybe the prce squad but don't see them making the 53 but aora a veteran maybe he shows something this preseason and makes this squad now at linebacker the off ball linebackers I've got Bond Dean troter and white as the guys that are locked and then on the bubble got the rest of them Burks cin who was just signed and then Ben vanin and one of these guys has to be that special teamer out of those three all in the bubble the other four I have his locks you drafted Trotter I think he'll make this team but with Burks banged up you have quarterman playing right now so I think that everything you know that you see here with the linebackers yeah it's concerning to some people because you know there's not a starter but I like the fact that there's competition Devin white he's goingon to get back to All Pro Form Zack Bon the Kobe Dean battling it out for that other spot and look man you know Dean continue to develop I know you're still a young man but Zack Bon that versatility to play off ball and at Edge that's going to help him immensely so looking forward to that now cornerback this is the one everybody's talking about and we're all losing our minds trying to figure out what's going to go down here I think for me obviously the locks are to genan and Mitchell Ringo Rogers slle I can't wait to see who the starters are but we've got some great Corners here and then on the bubble Hall job mcferson rcks Stevens you got some guys with some versatility you got guys that can help with special teams guys that can help as returners only one I think is not going to make it for sure Perry Nickerson not so sure Shawn Stevens makes it either or mcf or job but hey maybe they surprise us but there's a lot of competition to go around here and I cannot wait to see who wins the starting jobs who makes the roster as depth pieces looking forward to watching the quarterback position and then last but not least we've got the safeties here and this is my biggest concern we talk about tight end we talk about offensive line but safety uh look I'm very excited for the future of Sydney brown but he's still banged up and I'm not so sure he's not going to be on the p list when we start the season you got Reed blankinship you got Gardner Johnson and Maddox is playing safety now but as a versatile dback he can help you as a nickel as well so that versatility I think for me has him making the team but maybe Bradberry beats him out um you know he's playing safety he did what was needed to be done he knew he couldn't play Corner anymore he went to the team I love that for him you know that's big of him say hey man I I know these younger guys are up and coming they're going to be the corners I'd like to try out at safety so look you got guys like molum Sam Garner your competition he could definitely win himself a job we need people that can play safety and you know you've heard talk about Justin Simmons I'm not against it at all you know trading for Kevin byard whatever the hell man there is definitely options out there but you know for me uh I love the CJ Gardner Johnson here and Reed Blan I mean I like those guys but I think you need to add a little help there and that would make me feel a lot better now let's take a look at this on the depth chart and here are the 25 guys I have making the squad now you're going to see 27 colored because Dee and brown but I'm giving myself some freebies here let's just say they start the season on the NFI and pup I'm hoping that they don't uh but I'm cheating here but you can see the guys in red those are who I cut and uh the rest those are who I have making this squad so five interior D lineman you can see I've got six Edge guys I did have Patrick Johnson making it but again those guys that are white I'm not so sure uh you can see see at safety you know Bradberry Maddox paddling out maybe Eli Ricks I think he does but a lot of competition there again maybe Tyler Hall steps it up uh but then a linebacker you know I think van suan could beat out Burks and quarterman because he's got such great upside great athleticism and there's so much room to develop and if he can help you on special teams that's really what Burks and quarterman's job are special teams they're not here to be the linebackers sure God forbid anything happens you need depth but I think Ben van suan could be that guy and then you know obviously those Corners I mentioned Ringo Ricks I have making it Dee um and you know quinan Rogers and slay as my starters I just I can't wait man I'm really excited about this team but that right there for me is my projected 53 the guys I have as locks on the bubble and most likely toy cut I'd love to hear your thoughts whatever you have going on in your mind about you know what position what person whatever you guys got um but there's going to be a lot of fun you're probably going to see you know some of these um starters playing and I'm not against that at all so let's go tomorrow is my Mom's done let's Ethan go I'll be watching the game oh man let's this is awesome um a big shout out to your mom a true legend in the Eagles community if you do not follow Nina oh you're missing out those videos uh I'm looking for that birthday dance video to set the season right that is going to be it right there I'm going to need to be tagged in it need it because that is going to be the dance that sets it in motion this Super Bowl run on the road to Victory let's go but a big happy birthday to your mother that's awesome seriously um 91 my Lord I I couldn't even imagine if I make it to 60 let alone not she's a trooper and she's still out there dancing moving like she is that's awesome that is so awesome I hope you guys have a fantastic dinner and I hope the Eagles you know give you a little joy and we all know it's not about wins or losses but hopefully we get to see some awesome stuff from some of these young guys and I'm pumped up about it but uh hey maybe you can record it maybe you can uh tune in later and I'll be doing a little recap of the beginning of the game and we going through it man I'm excited about this I know it's just preseason but I love being able to watch the young guys some of these people you know you're just hearing about reading about seeing clips about I need the whole damn thing let's go so remember what you're watching it's preseason you know somebody's blowing up remember you know they're playing with the second or third team if they're sucking not really good if you can't do good against the second or third team so we're got to take everything you know with a grain of salt that you're hearing and seeing after this but we're getting pumped up and I really hope that you guys have yourselves a fantastic time tomorrow Nina and hope the Eagles end it right for you let's get that W even though it doesn't matter let's go Birds but uh I'm excited it is definitely Christmas and uh a big happy birthday indeed to Mama alustin let's go and uh yeah I don't think anything serious so uh yeah I don't get too much into that there's a lot of minor injuries and stuff but we'll get into that more when uh you know that stuff comes out but uh one of the reporters say that something about nion no no doubt play safety in college and moov to Corner um no I don't think so uh but he was a really good corner and he was an all pro corner so for him to say that you know is huge to learn this position he was not a former safety I'm pretty positive on that but just saying maybe dabbled a couple times but that happens at College uh he's been a corner a damn good one obviously getting a little bit older so for him to step it up I think huge huge huge huge so uh I'm pumped up um man you need competition so I'm all about you know putting whoever wherever and I'm all about that told you that he has oh that's all right don't worry about it and my man Drew let's go yes you did my friend I'm going to be rolling out here in a minute being rushed don't like that uh had to fly through the projected 53 didn't even add all the graphics added them while I was live we're uh doing magic in these parts ladies and gentlemen but uh you guys you have any final thoughts anything on your mind I'm going to be rolling out in a couple minutes we're going to make it a couple extra just for Drew here my man but uh let me know how you're feeling um who are you most likely you know going to be watching the most tomorrow what are you looking for whatever is going on maybe you like score predictions for preseason games maybe you're real sicko uh whatever's on your mind I'm all about it whether you're watching live you're watching this later and I know a lot of you can't make these live that's all right man I work all damn day I have so many things that need to get done before I even try to make these and then it's like and then you know I'm being rushed to go somewhere and then I'm just gonna want to leave because I gotta wake up at 5:00 am and then I gotta get off work and make a show because oh yeah Eagles pre-season begins tomorrow oh my God I cannot stress enough to you how very excited I am about that and uh look this Eagles team I still feel very confidently is built to win a Super Bowl obviously you got to stay healthy got to get on the same page with these new coordinators but like we talked about when last season ended I'm ready to move on and I'm going to show you a mapped out exactly how I felt the Eagles could get back to Super Bowl form and how we could win that thing and we've talked about it up and down whatever you know with the draft with free agency with the cap with how we're saving cap money how we're trading for this guy doing whatever and you know it's been another interesting offseason but I've seen people become Eagles fans way quicker than most offseason so I think other people are starting to feel it I see the media you know they're stumbling a little bit they're a little scared I I can't believe it's year four the Eagles social media team figured out what position the players play figured out what kind of Defense we run for four years I've been trying four year The Four Horsemen let's go anyways W I'm just saying it's an exciting time that people are getting on board you see Nick Foles he will retire in Eagle against the Falcons in week two and last time I saw you know a playoff game with Nick Foles was on his run to the Super Bowl and that was the Falcons you guys remember that was my first year on the road to Victory how much hate I got for saying we would win the Super Bowl that year with Nick fos um and I talked about that why was the perfect backup when we signed him and you know a lot of slack for it but I don't care because it was our first Super Bowl ever and uh kind of felt like it was Destiny so I've just been building on that and you know Nick FES to me is always going to be a legend and I love the dude so I think it's fitting that it'll be against the Falcons froze my sack off in that game watching Jaylen Mills knock the ball down from Julio let's go but uh an epic moment for me so epic that he's going to be doing that at home against the Falcons in the year that we're about to win our second Super Bowl so to me it was pretty amazing I'm very excited about it so uh let's go but uh Jerry Jones yeah they're idiots man Cowboys definitely suck trench is always number one from what I look at yeah man no doubt and we talked about these trenches offensive line a little concerning with the depth for me still I I'm still just not sure who wants to be the backup where I know guys's got versatility but I don't want to move things around I don't want Dickerson to have to play center I don't you don't want to have to be calling Jason Kelce back you know I want these things to work out but whether they trade for somebody whatever they're going to do we'll continue talking about that once we see this preseason game what needs to change what we need to add and then you know flip-flop on the other side when you're looking at the defensive line you know Drew I've been sitting here as much as they're sleeping we have to get clais Campbell oh we got to get Max Crosby and everybody Under the Sun dog they are sleeping on the wrong ones Jaylen Carter Milton Williams Jordan Davis are about to eat Souls dude then you look at the is that rotation Josh sweat with Bryce Huff Nolan Smith Brandon Graham is back jayx son oh yeah so all about the trenches baby you know it begins in the trenches so it's a perfect place to start looking love it my man love it so uh think JW asking if you made it for wide three did I make what for the wide receiver three spot um not sure what you're talking about there but uh no doubt and uh love to see you guys sharing that love down below and uh dude that's so awesome 91 years old and uh tell her she's in for a big year about to watch another Super Bowl now she had the luxury of seeing those championships my grandfather father got to see um some of those so they have seen But the Super Bowls they're obviously a whole different breed and you have to hear about how we never I mean we heard it forever and then well we won one so uh we're going to go get that second one and uh I'm all about it um and uh hey yo love to see you guys doing that uh it's a big dick Nick actually I uh we're going to get excited together um and look man we'll have a pregame I'm not I'm going to try to do my best to do a post game as well so get excited man uh it's almost here so let's go China you guys know how much we get of the opposite and uh I think we've done a great job the past like two years have been the best you guys have really been showing up showing out you're sharing stuff you're commenting on everything and you're helping this thing grow and you're helping find more DieHard fans you know what I mean like you guys are out there bringing it in it's not me man you guys are helping to get this to where it needs to be and I tell you the time but I mean it I cannot do this uh about you without you I really really really I love you I do and Tiffany I am not trying to be a jerk or trying to I see you know what no no everybody knew I needed to do this tonight so they're gonna have to wait a minute um no but your Cowboys joke is hilarious you guys are hilarious I'm just trying to be quick and roll through these as fast as I can but um no you guys are important to me so I don't want to just do that to you so Tiffany you know I love you but let me send this text real
