Mets Red Sox post-game reaction | David Peterson continues to shine,Francisco Lindor MVP

hi everybody this is the baseball head amazing spectacular terrific the great one the people's Champion your host H and welcome back to the baseball Hut hopefully you like this video and smash that subscribe button the Mets won again tonight s-2 against the Boston Red Sox David Peterson pitched great tonight uh struck out 11 Red Sox in this game I'll tell you just watching the red socks they shot they're not going anywhere they're not going anywhere but uh this game was all about David Peterson and about of course Francisco Lindor continuing his MVP run and he's gonna have a tough you know time getting an MVP because everyone's falling over themselves for showy Otani but if there was a person that's worthy of it it's him he's doing everything the power the defense the base running the leadership it's all there and I cannot tell you how happy I am about it so I want to see the Mets play well I know you do uh you know I I really don't like having to criticize any of the players but he has been awesome and to see this team so galvanized so energized at to be on on that long road trip and a very difficult road trip uh to go 7 and3 now they went six in a row and the Red Sox are much better than the White Sox obviously um they've had a better year but to see them continuing this inspired play makes me feel so worried as a Met fan watching it and uh we can't forget about how great of a job Carls Mendoza and the coaching staff have done keep this team on point every single game even when they were struggling in in May that's one of the worst Ms in in the history of this of this franchise I mean they were 11 think about this for a second they were at one point in this season at the end of May they were 11 games under 500 and since that 11 games under 500 they've been 22 games over 500 I think I've saw something that they've had they have like the third best record in baseball since June 1st just just an incredible turnaround I was talking to someone back in May a subscriber and and he's not a Met fan and he told me you know I cannot believe how the Mets had played so poorly I basically told him at the time you know he's like how did they go from winning 100 games in 2022 to what happened last year like when you have older pitching you're going to see that happen but the starting pitching has been so good they said at the end of the game the Mets have not given up a home run by the starters in five games the Mets now are 75 and 64 right now they have tied even with the Braves in L col for the third wild card spot uh that Braves game still on I will have a video later giving you an update on the Braves game and on the Cubs game the Braves will beat in the Rockies three nothing last I checked the Cubs will lose into the Pirates two nothing against Paul skin I'll have a short once those those uh on I have a video short once those games are done and then tomorrow I'll have a video a short video on what's going on with the Arizona Diamondbacks the pades were off tonight so we're going to follow this wild card race but also mention that the Phillies are playing the Blue Jays up in Toronto right now um and right now they will lose an e to seven in the seventh Den as I record this video hopefully by the by later I'll have an update on that uh the Mets could be six and a half games behind the the Phillies at the end of the night and that that can't be uh sort of pushed away got about 24 games left in the season uh the Mets have a shot we we know we know from the other side met you know any team has a shot as long as you have games you have a chance so and met St played the Phillies seven games this month um this is not going to be an easy uh finish to this season this is a very difficult schedule to Mets have uh the Red Sox have been a playoff team most of the you know second half you know most of the last 60 games but they've struggled like I said 9 and 17 the last 20 something games or whatever it is but the then go to play uh Blue Jays no the Reds the Reds just finishing out the string the Blue Jays have played better but the Mets will be in Toronto to play them that'll be interesting then next week the Mets play the Phillies uh and that's going to be a tough uh series no doubt three game series against the Phillies is not going to be easy and uh they've didn't play all that great with against the Phillies this year but that was a very different team in May uh and I and I would say this the this the last game in London when the Mets went to London they were playing so terribly I think so many of us including myself wanted to blow this team up and just get rid of these guys they you know they don't give a it's like you know but then and then they played that first game in Philly again you know in London against the Phillies and you're like they they don't even care you know but then they played that last game that that second game in that series it was a that's really the beginning of the the start of the turnaround cuz once they won that game in an unusual way that two2 three double play uh you knew right then and there something different is going on here and they had a great month of June they were the best team in the National League in June um and probably think did the best record of baseball in June uh and now we're going to be it's going to come full circle now going up against the Phillies this time around it's a very different met team Mets had a lot of dead weight on the club uh you know Navas was still here neita was still here just B torn and uh Joey W just gotten you know sent off to The Phantom Zone so there was a lot of dead weight on this team you know starting the season ore Lopez was what a disaster you know and the bullpen was a mess obviously in May but uh right now the Mets are positioned really strongly to get a playoff spot they're positioned really well to uh push for this division it's not going to be easy especially with the division and uh but the Mets have played very hard they played very smart they played really well defensively you can't say enough about how great they've been defensively uh led by Francisco Lindor and Jose glaus and the outfielders they've been so good and behind the plate you know and that and I would mention you know they have not hit all that great this year I mean over the last six games but the pitching has been so good so dominant especially from the start you can't complain a couple of notes Mark Vientos I mean he's my new favorite met oh my goodness tremendous power he's only getting warmed up he's only 24 years old just tremendous just imagine what kind of production he could produce for the Mets in a full season shout out to Reed shout out to Reed Garrett who came in the seventh inning uh Jose bua was struggling with his control in that second inning uh I've been hard on riar came in he got that big double play on masataka Yoshida huge huge double play and that was like the turning point of this game believe it or not and then in the obviously the sixth the eighth inning the bottom the eighth inning the M tacked on the uh those U four extra runs and obviously that the ball that Pete ever come down oh my God as soon as Pete made contact on that ball that sucker was out of there excuse me that ball was added so quickly out of the ballpark was just an incredible home run uh the Mets are playing on all solers this is about as good of a met team we've seen in a long time um in a lot of ways they they're actually a better team than they were two years ago even though they've you know they they're not the record isn't what it was two years ago but they play much better in September I know it's only the you know third day of September but this team is playing much much better this month than they did two years ago uh you know in the month of September um I would mention this the Red Sox defense is just Dreadful God that Dreadful how they have a winning record beyond milon that Bullpen is pretty bad but I mean like I said the stars of this game is David Peterson Francisco Lindor shout outs to Pete shout out to Mark Vientos and and of course a a star next to the name of Reed G came in in a tough spot I felt that the Umpire was was kind of like squeezing the Mets a little bit in the scheme especially in that that eighth inning um now I would mention this channel has hit 5,000 subscribers that happened today actually happened this morning and uh very early this morning hit 5,000k and I can't thank you enough next goal is 10,000 that's that's the next big goal for this channel is 10,000 subscribers for me um it says a lot about you folks you love the channel you love subscribing and so many people have watched the channel and haven't subscribed you have to subscribe because I a real Mets fan I'm not I have nobody helping me here I do my own thing here I tell you like what I think about the club I only want to see the Mets win that's all I care about I say that many times and I'm very positive here there's no there's not a lot of negativity here if there's negativity is me responding to what I see on the field you know and uh I'm very fair with the players I don't take shots to the players unless I feel I need to um it's been a lot of fun doing this the last four years and I I continue I'm hoping to continue to do this for another 20 years either on this platform or in some other place but you need to subscribe like I said I'm associated with media I'm just a fan like you I actually have more nods a lot of people but and most of the most of the media quite frankly and I follow all the games as much as I can follow the players I really admire the players really quite frankly um and I just want them to win all I want is the meds to win World Series that's what I want I want to see it again uh I know everybody wants to see them win it and this team I don't know if they're going to win it but they they're a lot of fun to watch this is one of the more enjoyable seasons that we've had as a met as Med fans in a long time probably more enjoyable than two years ago because two years ago I think we all kind of felt that Mets were going to win uh come going into Spring train this team they were being hammered for a long time after the after after the trade and deadline last year the Mets were being hammered hammered left and right specifically from wfn and wfn stting Crow and pretend they didn't say what they said uh last off season and most of this season season I'm always watching and I'm going to tell wfn I'm always watching I'm not and I'm not going anywhere as a fan if you go after the club unfairly I will hit you harder than you've ever done I wouldn't mention they changed their social media strategy which I thought was funny but uh again you're know the reason why this channel is done as well as it has I never could have imaged to get 5,000 subscribers on this channel 5,000 people subscribe to this this channel you believe that how did I do that me really how did I do that but it's because of you watching I guess my hard work I guess uh the sort of and here's the thing folks even even if I wasn't doing this channel I'd still be looking all the stuff up and I want to know was going on with the club just from my own self but now I can sort of talk about it here um and again I'm not involved with anybody I don't talk to any of these other YouTubers I I couldn't care less I couldn't care less I do my own thing here and I know you're going to help me get to 10,000 subscribers it's the next Big Goal the ultimate goal for your host is to get 100,000 subscribers and the reason is is when you get to 100,000 subscribers YouTube mails you a plaque and I want to do a big a big video uh talking about that PL I also
