[Applause] [Applause] well it's been a long road back to title contention and a heavyweight championship opportunity for this man but he has put in all the right work and a lot of people give him a great chance to get the job done tonight you know when you've been there and you get back here it's not new there are a lot of things that are familiar but how do you change the result how do you assure that in this T time during this chance you ultimately walk away with the championship he's been here before John the team been here before they are confident that this time they get it done and that self-belief is rooted in the preparation right he's got speed he's got power all the tools to rest the belt away see if we have a new UFC heavyweight [Music] champion well as much respect and appreciation as we have for the skill sets of the lower weight classes athletes there is nothing in Pro Sports quite like a UFC heavyweight championship fight that is a reality you've been there you've done that badest man on the planet putting that very Distinction on the line yeah the champ walks again and he wears that proud Johnny wants to be called The Champ he loves to be called the bad man on the win he is so skilled he's so dangerous he's so scary and he gets up for these types of challenges he intends to never let go of his Bel he understands the challenge in front of him here tonight but he has been forged by this training camp the championship experience he has acred and we'll see if he can leave the way he enters as the and there's her Dean he will handle the action inside the Octan all right here we go UFC heavyweight title on the line this should be good pretty good connection there yeah strong defense here as the hook to the head is blocked oh the high kick that head kick he kept talking about the opening that would be there on Thursday those words proving prophetic right there I mean his vision and his timing allows him to get that technique [Applause] on the field this evening and really his weapon of choice has been that jab he has had it in his opponent's face all night long they're so evenly matched they're going tit forat he's got that single call tie just over three minutes now to [Applause] go now a kick to the body [Applause] again going back to the jab just out of [Applause] [Music] range well that left hand has been there at times not on that attempt looks like he's dealing with A Cut Above the eye [Applause] here whiffs on that offering oh nice counter jab there really good emphasis on that kick [Applause] there mixing it up well tonight there's a shot to the leg ooh what a punch three minutes have elapsed here in round one oh the roundhouse kick lands right hand there lands a good series of kicks here he's got that jab working nicely [Applause] done all right so now we start to see some redness underneath the elbow you got to think he's going to continue to attack the body with all of his strengths well his opponent has not done anything to deter him he should keep doing this keep going to the well until his opponent finds an answer because right now he seems lost to it looked like it did stun him a little bit oh with authority the body KN to the body well he rocked him but couldn't finish him he rocked him he hurt him bad he could find that one shot to close the door could not shut the lights off and now he's passed to trying to find that shot again out ball left hook to the head it's blocked all right 45 seconds now to go on the [Applause] round he closes the distance beautifully he's got a single call Push kick there to the body starting to do some really significant damage to the body here another strike lands there 20 seconds now remain in the round useful hook there Stuffs the Tak down there how good is his takedown defense final seconds here of round one big knee round how good was that all right that's the end of the round you see the cut on his forehead the blood is trickling down so we'll see if that becomes an issue or more of a factor here later in this fight know all right we got a few clips for you DC of all the damage doled out in that round and his eye continuing to be the main target I mean he getting hammered he is getting hit in that spot over and over again and because of that his opponent has gained in confidence and he is very limited in what he can do in his approach because safety has to be first now ready to fight ready second round underway all right next round is now under way I thought there was pretty good back and forth action in the previous frame yes it wasn't a far fight it wasn't two guys throwing the kitchen sink at each other but you did see times where they came together and you saw the skill level of these two FL just misses with the left hook he checked that last one well new round same result as he continues to punish the body yet again just as he did in the previous [Applause] round moving to his left now [Applause] perfect execution on that team oh Superman punch is good you can tell he's been working on that just misses with the jab [Applause] there missed with that attempt [Applause] oh beautiful straight right [Applause] hand right hand landed oh a cut has just opened up on his forehead that bears watching let's go just over 3 minutes to go [Applause] he was able to block that [Applause] shot so a much different approach for him here in this second round he was a little bit tentative in round one a little bit of a feeling out process now he has clearly found his rhythm found the range we'll see if he can continue with more activity here in round [Applause] two good that's good defense to get that guard up oh big head kick [Applause] there just out of range with that left hook oh nice right hand [Applause] John straight right hand now just misses just over two minutes to go nice straight right [Applause] Lance when both are prepared these are the types of fights that we expect so he's really starting to put together some significant body shots here these are just oh this could be it oh again oh oh oh my goodness good series of kicks by him there DC he certainly has that part of his game going tonight he's a fantastic kick box over tonight is the kicks that's lead the D always be closing busy in the clinch here the punch is good oh there's that low kick that'll leave him Mark the issue with that kick as effective as it is one gets checked you have the Anderson Silva situation it's a nice jab by him there under a minute to go in round two oh he just continues to pour it on he has been aggressive all night long with his strke that him bad need some work guys oh looking to land leg kick but unable to find the target well perhaps it's a high fight IQ perhaps it's obvious but he is attacking that cut that is getting deeper by the minute and it seems like the right decision because you can see his opponent starting to paw at it you can see it starting to take an effect it's messing with him mentally for him he's got to continue to attack that area and hope that it just keeps getting worse and worse final seconds here of round two oh now lands a kick to the body oh yet again back to the big kick and it land good round all right so there's the end of the round you see the blood trickling down as he makes his way back to the stool cut on the bridge of the nose or so it appears from the strike in that round cut man getting right to work all right let's now look back at some of the action from that round he went head hunting landed nearly got the finish too a lot of coaches tell you don't head hunt in this case he's been head hunting and he landed a big enough shot to truly put his opponent on notice you ready to fight ready let's do it round three are the possible five well just as he did the previous round continuing to land a high number of strikes here and he hasn't really showed any signs of slowing down scary scary proposition for the [Applause] opponent missed on the right hand and that spinning kicked out it's home up [Applause] top look at the whip action that comes from him throwing that kick barely missed on knut right here the inside nice nice Punch To The [Applause] Head beautiful body [Applause] kick that's how you block a [Applause] strike well that body kick was there earlier not there on that [Applause] attempt man look at that damage on the right side of his body starting to really bruise now both Fighters start to open up a little bit oh goes to the spinning heel kick now and it connects well he continues to do a nice job here defensively protecting the head and sort of maybe letting his opponent gas out a little bit with all the volume his opponent sees oh oh he gets back up but barely look how wobbly he is we told you would keep an eye on it DC that cut is starting to open up wider now and he continues to Target that area wisely well when you saw it right away it wasn't that bad but as he continues to Target it you can start to see it opening up look for him to continue to go down that route to try to get this Victory under three minutes now to go in round three [Applause] well as soon as he goes with that high guard he pays for it to the body you see the bruises really starting to accumulate now in the beginning of the fight you think I got to protect my head at all costs right now I believe that this guy has to worry about his body look at how red the side of his body is he has got to change something we have crossed the midpoint of this one work with that jab jab LS side leg kick lands [Applause] there nicely timed kick to the body for the [Applause] champion just out of range with that strike well looks as though his leg is hurt here you can even see him limping a little [Applause] bit nice Target change and him attacking the body it's a beautiful fast cook jab with meeting again he's looking for that left it's not there 90 seconds to go keep pushing keep pushing [Applause] trying to go to the body now with the kick that one misses beautiful job getting those hands [Applause] up oh now gets an underhook to get a more dominant [Applause] position punch over the top under a minute to go on the round oh and he continues to pour it on we mentioned earlier the aggression with his striking got to be careful to not gas out here but at least you have to admire the approach an elbow oh he's on wobbly legs now he went High and the Tak down attempt but he does not land it well this is absolutely the hurt business it's hard to see which party is more injured but I think both Fighters have been really affected with their strikes in this one yeah both guys have been affected both guys have been beat up it's a very competitive fight let's see who has the heart to carry them through these very tough moments it is look at it oh R kick beautiful diving strike La Saved by the Bell that's the end of the round and thankfully for him it came at the right time he got knocked down just before the horn we'll see if his Corner can keep him in the fight just 60 seconds with which to recover here before the next round it's your all right so a big knockdown in that last round DC will'll show you the replay nearly had him out of there he almost had him out he had him gone he hurt him real bad he thought the fight was over but the night will go on the dance continues will just be the final Dan you ready to fight you ready fourth round now fight schedule for five five minute rounds all right so here we go fourth round is underway what is the fighters mentality when you enter those seminal Championship RS you understand that you are getting close now the night is almost over the goal is Within Reach now 15 minutes down 10 to go you tell yourself you can do anything for 10 [Applause] minutes nice punch [Applause] L still unable to oh oh big diving punch lands up top he's brutalizing him with the ground bound this fight is close to being done trying to pass the guard here but a nice job by the bottom fighter defensively bottom fighter did a fantastic job of following with his hips making sure he blocked any attempt to get past his guard and he's back oh nice kick fighter blocks the punch ni so let us see who has enough left to finish this fight I'm looking at two fighters who are on the verge of guessing I mean oh again big shot to the head oh you land I land is that what we're doing here oh and back to his feet well at this point DC I'm not sure if he's just biting his time or just trying to get some extra reps but go finish the guy it seems like the guy's playing with his food you know he's having a good time out there everything's working he's in the zone it feels like it any moment he can end the night of his opponent but he seems to be having fun and hey to each his own I guess I'd be rushing out of that op yeah you don't play with your no man that cut on his forehead is looking [Applause] worse great block there great job Landing that body kick well if this fighter gets back to the stool he's going to get an ear for from his coaches confidence seems to be a oh big diving Punch To The Head takes his back now side control now he does a great job of getting to his position Landing effective strikes and now his opponent starting to swell oh and he's back up again just over two minutes to go in the round oh big right hook but a whiff oh oh that cut is only getting worse jamp I'm not sure if it's time to call in the ringside position but we got a bloody mess on our hands yeah bloody this guy is almost unrecognizable uh you look at and there he is best knockouts we've seen all year in a very long time I have not seen someone look this good he promised us something and he delivered with that beautiful knockout [Applause]
