hello there welcome to your Scottish forecast from the Met Office through the next 24 hours further showy bursts of rain in fact we do have a weather warning for thunderstorms through Monday evening and they could rumble on into the early hours of Thursday morning all associated with an area of low pressure it means the weather remains fairly unstable with the atmosphere primed for more showers as we head into Tuesday things will try and settle down from Tuesday into Wednesday from the West before that though cater for some more wet weather through the next 24 hours or so and then the winds ease a little bit as high pressure extends from the Atlantic for the time being though we are seeing some heavy pulses of showery rain and we do have a thundery element associated with them particularly across more Northern and Eastern areas becoming confined to the northern aisles through the early hours of the morning but some sporadic bursts can't be rared out across the East into Tuesday elsewhere some clearer Skies temperatures dipping down to single figures so of a cooler start to the day come Tuesday morning but there will be some brighter Skies around now through the morning two things happened we lose the showers towards the east we gained some sunshine here and then more showery rain extends from the west by around lunchtime reaching the highlands and eventually you could see a Sunburst just coming in across the Eastern side so showers to end the day on Tuesday as temperatures rise around 16 to 19° celius a little sunshine from time to time and certainly some brighter Skies to end the day across Shetland before this batch just moves in and extends across so through Wednesday morning yes still some showers in the mix but certainly we'll see some brighter weather coming through and Wednesday is going to be a a dri day a quieter day we'll see some sunshine through the afternoon and temperatures will be slightly higher coming around 15 or 16 Celsius possibly 17 for the central belt of Scotland wherever you are take care and I'll see you again soon
