McFarlane DC Multiverse Batman Forever Val Kilmer Sonar Suit Batman BAF Nightmare Bat Figure Review

[Music] get those wonderful toys I can't wait to show you my [Music] toys hey everybody this is De Hunter bring another action figure review today we're on L the McFarland DC Multiverse Batman Forever Valk killer Batman this is part of the collective build nightmare bat Action Figure Set I pr this guy for the McFarland toy store took advantage of the bundle discount the coupon code and even after shipping taxes got these guys for less than retail so let's take a look at the packaging as you can see the top 22 mov parts we found the toys ages 12 plus DC Multiverse Batman collec to build nightmare bat this is the first of four figures you need to collect the bat here he is in the package we have a grapp launcher couple different bat RS extra hands part of the nightmare bat collector's card and display stand one side of the package Batman from Batman Forever other side Batman at the bottom there's this barcode if that helps anybody and at the back side here's an image of the nightmare bat here's the part you get with Batman here's a checklist of all the parts and here's the rest of the wave so with no further Ado let's open them up and of course I did get two of these Batman figures one of which to open enjoy the other one to keep unopen in my complete Batman related unopen extra figure collection and like I said I did get the entire W for the McFarland toy store Batman Forever Batman Robin Riddler Toof faace and the nightmare bat all right now that this figure out of the package here he is with all the accessories laid out we have display stand collector's card total Four Hands and then a gr launcher and a couple different style bat rangs before we taad all that let's talk about and check out the figure so this is Batman from Batman Forever played by Val Kilmer it's supposed to be a continuation of Batman Batman Returns then Batman Forever Batman to Robin and then it just sort of died off Michael Keaton and Tim Burton sort of jumped ship because they didn't like the way that one of Brothers was going with the franchise they wanted to be lighter I guess there were lot of complaints about how dark B returns was and then we have Valk Kilmer I like Valk Kilmer as an actor but I hear he's a total I heard he didn't show up to the first day shoot because he knew they couldn't do anything without him and cost him a bunch of money and a bunch of things like that are why he isn't in Batman at Robin but that's a story for another day now Batman Forever came out in 1995 I was 11 years old it was a pretty freaking big deal first time we have a life action Robin at least since the 60s Twoface Riddler finally get in the Rogues gallery and a bunch of heavy-hitting actors at the time in the movie I remember going out with my friend spending the night and doing that without my parents permission I got got in a bunch of trouble good times good memories fun movie hasn't quite aged as well as maybe I'd like but quite a bit better than Batman or Robin it was sort of the start of the downfall of that franchise I mean 89 is freaking fantastic and forever is good but has so much cheese in it so let's take a look now this is Batman in his sonar suit and that's his final suit from the end of the film I really want to get Valk Kilmer his Panther suit which is a suit he wore for the majority of film a little more basic at one point realer destroyed the Batcave and destroyed all suits except for the Prototype suit and this particular version has a Black Cowl sort of shiny metallic blue paint job here black gloves and black boots which I don't believe is accurate I actually just checked the film before doing this video and the whole thing should be this sort of shiny blue color now the one from the six-pack is colored that way so they kind of screw this up so looking at his face here the mouth screams Valk Kilmer it just has a very sort of Unique Look to it he's got these lines here which is centure for the sonar suit giant B with no oval kind of doing something different in this movie same thing on the Belt double jointed elbows double jointed knees as much as it's not accurate I do think it looks kind of cool and makes sort of sense that he would have black boots with this sort of armored blue suit underneath same with the gloves and the cowl but that is not how it looked in the film cloth soft goods Cape with no wire in it which is interesting cuz Robin has a wire in it Batman does not you can see a little hole here and that's where the plastic Cape would plug in but they've never had a version of this guy with a plastic cape and my guess is originally this one would have had a plastic Cape as that's what they did with the Batman Robin wave the six-pack Batman had a cloth cape and the build figure wave had a plastic one but now they're doing all these Batmobiles this guy has to have a cloth cape and I can't wait to put him in the B forever b Wheel and a closer look at his face and head sculpt the cow looks good the face looks good the mouth looks good it's just the wrong color and then here's the figure broken down as far as he can go with all of his removable Parts detached now let's check out his accessories starting off with the boring stuff here's his display stand two of them make Farland display stand we've seen a million times before it's very thin very basic but it's effective at standing up your figures here's a look of this collector's card as you can see it's an image from Batman Forever looks like a movie poster Batman from Batman Forever on the back there is a description if you want to read that pause now here's this figure collector card next to the original movie six-pack versions now let's look at his hands he has four of them two left hands and two right hands here he is with his first pair of hands these are his fists and here's his second pair of hands this is a pair of gripping hands and here are all of his Bat gadgets we have a ground launcher a standard batarang and then I think a sonar batarang from the end they're all done and sort of a silver color if they had a metallic paint job they would be even better here's the grout launcher definitely signature to Batman Forever that's exactly how it looked in that movie here's his regular bat rang from the majority of the film and then this is the B bang he threw at the Riddler at the end of the film here's a look at Batman holding and getting ready to throw that regular batang and here holding that sonar batarang then here he is holding and getting ready to use his graval launcher now to check out the differences and similarities between the movie six- pack Batman Forever Batman and the single release and besides the obvious paint differences which I believe is a mistake on this one it's 100% same figure same sculpt same articulation even the same cape and that surprises me Robin has a cloth wired Cape Batman just has a sort of plain cloth Cape so let's take a look looking at their heads here the cow is done in this shiny sort of metallic color here and this one is in a flat black I actually checked the movie This is the accurate one this not sure why they did it like that as you go further down the belt is a little bit different the gloves are a little bit different and the boots are a little bit different beyond that everything is exactly the same so they are are 100% the same figure except for the paint job and they actually made the new one less accurate than the previous one now they've taken a pretty good look at both the figure and his accessories let we got his height from bottom to the top of his head standing about 7.2 in tall which going translate to just over 18 cm if you go to the top of the ears about 7.4 in tall and for his articulation starting with his head of course you can rotate side to side he can look up and down a pretty good amount can't his head from one side to the other shoulders on a ball joint goes out a little bit less than 90° up down around he's got this butterfly joint between his shoulder and chest area covering up the big gap that would be there and allowing for a little B bigger range of motion bicep cut double jointed elbow his wrist can rotate and it's going to be hinged as well and his torso he has ball joint forward and back quite a bit rotate around another one is waist rotate around forward and back between the two very good range of motion get a lot more out of the Torso in the waist of this guy legs completely does the splits make far sty hip joints rotation is pretty much non-existent legs go forward say about that far back not much double jointed knees and then his ankle forward and back rotate tilt Rock and of course to articulation here's a look at this Batman on a rooftop overlooking Gotham the city's protector and then here's Robin joining Batman the dynamic duo and then here's Batman in the Batcave batt be behind him and Alfred giving him a send off could I persuade you to take a sandwich sir I'll get drive- through now check him out next to some other action figures starting off with some of the Batman Forever figures here's a single release build a figure Batman Forever next to the movie six-pack version which is a more accurate paint job and here he is next to the rest of his wave Chris ofdonald Robin Falk Kimmer Batman Jim Carrey The Riddler and Tommy Lee Jones Two Face by the entire wave and you get a collect a building nightmare bat from the deleted scenes in bman Forever it's a pretty solid wave and they covered all the basics I would love to see Val Kilmer and his Panther suit the regular suit for the majority of the film and then Riddler and one of his other crazy outfits from the film then I would consider the Batman Forever collection complete well Chase M would be nice but I don't expect any civilian type characters like that here he is next to the Mattel DC Multiverse Batman Forever Batman this is Val Kilmer in his Panther suit the suit that I hope McFarland eventually makes although this Mattel is kind of a crappy figure and here he is next to the Matel DC Multiverse Michael go Alfred although not specifically from Batman Forever he look the same at all for the films then next big farlands Batman Robin movie wave Batgirl Robin Batman Poison Ivy collect a build Mr Freeze Batman or Robin is a continuation of Batman Forever you're supposed to believe that George Clooney and Val Kilmore are the same Bruce Wayne the same Batman and really you're supposed to believe they're the same as Michael Keaton this movie got quite ridiculous and over the top but it's really cool to have them all in plastic form they really need to get us Bane from that movie somehow and unlike the Vel killer Batman who was done in his final suit from the end of the film The George Clooney Batman is in the suit that he wore for the majority of the film that's what I want to see McFarland do a Valk Kilmer figure of time will tell and hopefully they'll give us the end fight George Clooney figure as well and now next to the 1989 Michael Keaton Batman figure like I said before you're supposed to believe that Valk Kilmer is a continuation of Michael Keaton Batman it's kind of like James Bond they would change the actor from time to time but it's the same character and it works it's more believable villmer than with George Clooney here he is next to a couple of my favorite McFarland Batman figures the Nightfall Batman and the hush Batman you can see the Batman forer Batman scales up about between them a little bit bigger than Nightfall and quite a bit shorter than the hush Batman now check him out next to some other recently released McFarland DC Multiverse figures here he is next to most recent Platinum wave we have the Ben Affleck Batman from The Flash movie bat begins lucious Fox Hugo Stranges Batman and Bulls side Batman here's a look at every single McFarland DC Multiverse movie Batman they finally made all the actors although not necessarily in all the suits that I want we have Adam West M Keaton Valk Kilmer George Clooney Christian Bale Ben Affleck and Robert penon I hope they give us the regular Valk Kilmer suit and I hope they give us the Batman Begins Christian Bale suit here's us Falk killer Batman next to the most recent Batman wave we have both the platinum and regular versions of the Batman reborn Dick Grayson Batman the Adam West Batman and both the regular and platinum versions of the world's finest Fusion Batman Superman and here he is next to the sixth wave of McFarland collector edition figures clar King Red Hood ragman and agent Liberty there's a platinum Chase variant of each of these figures and I'm a hunt for all four of them if anyone has a lead on worble to get one or can possibly help me out for reasonable price please drop me l in the comments below it is much appreciated then next to the exclusive Gold Label Max Mercury and vampire Shazam and now next to the DC Classics Dark Side Mega figure here's this Batman next to McFarland toy store exclusive darket returns armored patina Batman and the San Comic-Con exclusive Superman Centennial Park tribute statue and here he is next to the DC rebirth Tim Drake Robin and both the platinum and regular versions of the Cyborg Superman then next to the previous Platinum wave Sports Master New 52 reverse first Flash and Manhunter and finally with the second digital wave Green Arrow Superman and the atom now let's check them out next to some action figures from different various companies so we can see how he fits in both scale and style-wise in case you don't know which L you can mix him with since he a m Partland toy they're typically the 7in scale I'm going to start off my comparisons with some of the larger Action Fair lines I collect and work quite smaller and I'm going to include as many Batman figures I can during these comparisons here he is next to some of his MC far than Brothers in Freddy were five different x-ray lines all from McFarland toys all 7in scale and now with some jack specific wrestling figures and some Diamond sck toys here's this Batman next to McDonald's glass Batman Forever Cup this is the Batman version this is the only one that I have left and here he is next to some DC Direct and NECA Batman figures then with both some Mattel and jaar's wrestling figures and now with some mesco and Mattel Batman figures next with some MX and Hasbro Morel Legends and finally with some sh figure Arts Batman figures and some jazz warar fortnite figures so overall it's a pretty cool Batman figure but the huge error with the cow the boots and gloves is really unforgivable especially considering they got it right the first time it is a very nice sculpt the likeness of Almer is excellent the accessories are great extra hands three bat gadgets fantastic sculpt the paint jop good except the paint job they've sort of botched it accessor is good articulation is everything you expect from a modern McFarland DC Multiverse figure I like him but here are the negatives well first of all it's not the suit that I want but I understand the sonar suit is probably considered cooler It's The End finale suit and stuff but they painted it wrong and I really like the panther suit from the film it's a nice progression from the Michael Keaton suit hopefully they'll give us that eventually I'm not going to hold that against this figure for simply existing but the paint job my God and you can't even use these gripping hands on the original figure or it look weird so huge disappointment with the paint job I mean it does look cool as an action figure but I checked the movie and that is not what it looked like in the film also giving pretty much everyone cloth wired capes and not doing for him why does Robin get a better cap than Batman that's garbage if I had to rate this guy probably a 6 out of 10 he would have easily got a seven maybe a 7.5 if it weren't for that stupid paint air luckily I have the movie six-pack version and that'll be my default Batman for Batman until they get the panther suit out which I bet they eventually will I bet that guy is going to Skyrocket in price because that is the best valker Batman out there this one is nice but it's really hard to ignore the glaring air is right in front of you so this is D hun thank you guys
