[Applause] jabbit he'll take it himself just working and poking and are in different conferences maybe the biggest thing and the thing that keeps coaches up at night dealing with the transfer portal and that Ball's free behind the line that onto the field now the punter going to get his first work of the afternoon gets it away good distance but more importantly just the direction he want they'll wrestling down just short toss play right QB catches the ball tosses it to the running back listen it's got to be thrown out in front of him so he continue to run and then an offensive line has to do a really good job of getting the end and from the 42 the option look and a good solid pick up there break a home run defense did a nice job getting him down there but this guy I'm telling you he's just a play away from taking it to the hands keep letting this guy do his thing on the ground could they be setting up a shot play and they get the sack just way too fast for tight ends or for offensive tackles to get out and block them they'll move the running back to try to force the defense to adjust quick spin on the Run they bring him down but a solid that I can give the ball because defensively it starts to limit your coverages it starts to limit what I can do it makes me play the quarterback every single play just makes your job as a defensive coordinator extrem be a big part of the game plan and the defense really really understands that I got to understand and more importantly when I get a lick on this cat I got to take it like not dirty not cheap shots but any the plays when I can be not getting the job done they need more push moving the running back forcing the defense to adjust now the toss gets it into the end zone but wait a minute we'll have to check out the laundry on the field all a drive we'll see if the offense can overcome it they'll try to get something out of this drive and kick the field goal here now on the Move really nice stop there the punt team makes its way onto the field this will be the second time they've had to kick it away on the move it's Moore and they'll get him down set on the option quarterback on the keeper now the pitch on the move at the 30 the express way is wide open and he caught that pitch and stride H so that running back to get through make a big play on the hand off to the left when something works that well you might as well go right back to it I mean they showed no indication that they could stop it I like to go back to on Third and long try to convert through the air and the quarterback bought some pre- snap motion quarterback trying to get a read but convert here and you get some momentum he'll ride his man on the option he'll toss it he's run out of bounds but he's hit it get the first down don't mess around nice job following his hole getting positive yards running the option it's best and he keeps it himself it and running it and you know he's going to try to hurt this defense with his legs it puts so much stress on the defensive line to chase him and the fact that the play has extended so long yeah if they've got a spy defensively if some doing that in this opening game 29 oh the defense moved in there too quickly you think it's never going to work until it does and that'll be a first down def the offense comes back out with a new set of downs after the penalty the back goes in motion he'll toss it turns it on in Midfield and there they go again another a huge gain on the ground I want to call that one again it works so [Applause] well2 sticks it in his belly and a good solid pick up before out and really try and establish their dominance and their assertiveness and they've done a good job of that early in this game running the football that's what you expect motion by the back forces the defense to adjust tackled but he has a first down front by the offensive line getting a bit of a push and they get the first in they'll run the option now the toss and he'll step out of bounds still some ground to cover to pick up that first down leaves it with the back keeps those legs turning for thre Zone but they can pick up a first down without scoring third down trying to pick it up on the ground he'll be stopped just short off to the football create some holes like you do here from my running back make the game easy and it's in for a touchdown moving the running back trying to get the D to tip its hand quarterback now on the Run still looking and they can't make the connection and it could get worse a penalty flag on the field and it's in the holding Zone let's get the call something up before halftime goes to the option crosses the 30 he's got away and it is a chunk play a huge gain on that one before the defense brings it to an end the offense will stop the clock and use one of its timeouts looking to throw it's best he'll pull it down oh it's out everybody needs a little luck and the offense just got it by Prime update fellas you've had yourselves a great broadcast so far today in Harrisonburg and I get it a lot of coaches will say the difference between winning and losing comes down to stopping big play Here Comes the option and he finds enough Running Room and game goes on these little QB runs they're going to help keep third Downs manageable for this offense on the option and they make the tackle but he has on first [Applause] down calls his own number these little gains can start to add up on the run it's second down over over over the option look a strong tackle and wrap up tackles I like the idea getting the designed quarterback run game going moving forward let's see if we can get him out to the perimeter nice job to keep it himself is glad he did how about the speed by the QB on that [Applause] play they bring him down and he's going to lose to go for it on fourth down the snap sets up to throw pressure coming under heavy pressure lets it Fly and that deep shot's going to wind up incomplete but we do have a flag on the field let's see what the official says was in the air you simply can't do it and the referee's caught it he'll keep it himself after the pick up of Nine the ball really well now and guys you know the other thing that happen here is that sets up the next play because you've sort of left the defensive line gassed trying to run down the quarterback it's just it's so hard to defend they're down to the 32 yd line on First and 10 on the option not a whole lot of room there offense keeps matriculating and matriculating and matriculating the ball down the field pre- snap Motion in the back field and he doesn't find much running at least they have the football in their hands every time you know where they're going to be unleashes one deep and a penalty flag comes in as that one Falls incomplete but this is going to be a positive play for the offense and defense with pass interference coming they'll run the option got enough space keep it on the ground and he's in here we go on the option saunters into the end zone they'll go to the fullback and the defense big fullbacks got it running with power there to make the Stop and we played three in this one and listen if it ain't broke don't fix successful keep running the rock yeah David I I think this offensive line right now they've got a lather going final quarter from the 17 yd line it's first and 10 using his feet we'll give him a couple on that plays if you can just give him a little crease he can take it the distance but they couldn't get it done there now on the option good solid determined run a little pre- snap eye candy for the defense still on his feet at the 40 and an explosive play has him on the move and he gets it all the way through the coaching staff here your offenses on the field and it looks like you got a pretty good drive going and you're just going to try and keep this thing marching keep the clock ticking you got a really nice lead here late just want to down in this game they just can't do anything to stop this offense at this point David right now they know they're going to be trying to run the football and try and Ice the game but there's nothing at this point it seems they can do yeah and it's frustrating third down and four he wants to throw it looking to take a shot and he can't make the connection on now they'll send out the field goal unit got to give the defense credit on that play taking everything away forcing he'll ride his man on the option makes his man miss and he broke one tackle off to him and you probably don't do it too much and don't make a living off it but when you get nice little chunk like this maybe you find another way to give him the football [Applause] he'll do it himself got some room enter to the goal line and into the end zone for a touchdown motion trying to get the defense to show its hand and he's knocked down but there's also a flag that's been dropped let's check on the down for this offense iglo iglo they'll run the option really nice job to squirt his way [Applause] up give to the big fullback so runs like that that can really right now everybody's doing a nice job playing their assignments on the third play of that drive they were expecting it and everyone communicating and all rallying to the football that was nice to see if the coaching staff he'll pull it on the read the ball is out behind the line we waited so long to start the season and just the way you want to start getting that first Victory and the first games are so much fun you've been practicing against each other over and over all through camp
