13 MUST HAVE Players in Fantasy Football (Yahoo Leagues) | 2024 Fantasy Football

Intro today we are going to be breaking down the best picks to make in your Yahoo drafts and stay tuned if you're in an ESPN draft a lot of these apply to you and actually we're going to be breaking down more than 13 because we're going to be referencing some of the players we talked about in the previous video and if you want to check out the previous video where we cover the best picks to make in ESPN drafts that is right over here or it's right over here right here you can see it there so without further ado let's get started and the first player that we need to talk about is Devonta Smith Devon Smith currently dvon Smith's being drafted uh on Underdog at pick 28 according to my rankings he's the 21st player off the board and Yahoo according to their preset draft rankings he's 38th off the board and we should probably make a note uh PSA if you will that running backs in Underdog and in Yahoo are being pushed up really far just way too far according to uh their preset draft list and when compared to Underdog so if you've been drafting all offseason long in Underdog leagues the adps are going to be vastly different so it's worth going in there taking a look before your draft because it's going to be completely different and the result of that is some of these receivers are being pushed way too far down and devont Smith is one of those players I mean we're talking about a wide receiver that was the wide receiver 20 and fantasy points per game last year in a disappointing offense I mean it was disappointing towards the back half of the Season which led them to bring on a new offensive coordinator in Kell Moore and I think we probably should get back to what we saw from Devonta Smith in 2022 which is 136 targets 95 receptions almost 1,200 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in back-to-back Seasons he's actually had about the same amount of air yards he had 1350 air yards last season and he had 1345 air yards in 2022 so my thinking is we should probably split the difference between those two seasons he's probably closer to wide receiver 14 in fantasy points per game than he is wide receiver 20 and as a result he is a value where he's currently going in Yahoo drafts and not to mention the fact that he's going to be in this offense with AJ Brown they add Sequon Barkley it's going to be a dynamic off offense that's going to score a lot of points and there's some contingent upside like if anything happens to AJ Brown Devonta Smith is probably going to have some major spike weeks all right Z flowers is up next Zay Flowers according to Yahoo the preset rankings he is 54th according to their list on Underdog he's currently being drafted at 38th overall and according to my rankings I have him at 42nd overall and Z flowers proved to be a very Dynamic playmaker for the Ravens last year he had 108 targets 77 ceptions five receiving yards and he or five receiving touchdowns he was the wide wide receiver 31 on the season and he enters the year as one of the top pass catchers ala in a run first offense in Baltimore but Z flowers is such a playmaker I mean his yards after the catch number 15th amongst wide receivers I expect him to get better in year two in the same system and like I said there isn't much competition for Targets in Baltimore and the fact that he's coming off the board in the fifth round and he's coming off the board a round sometimes two rounds earlier an underdog and according to my rankings he's a full round rank ranked a full round lower than where he should be Z flowers is going to be one of the one of the steals of the draft if you're in an underdog league and if your league mates go by the preset ADP because a lot of them do let's face it a lot of them don't do any research they just come in they look at the rankings and go oh this is how the players are supposed to be drafted and that's really not how things should go we both know this so Z flowers again one of the Premier values in Yahoo leagues Chris Godwin the simple case for Chris Godwin Chris Godwin I've been saying it all off season long is touchdown regression Chris Godwin only caught two touchdowns last year Mike Evans caught 13 touchdowns as a result Chris Godwin finishes at the as the wide receiver 28 wide receiver 3 4 in fantasy points per game and according to Underdog he's being drafted at around the wide receiver 35 36 somewhere in that range so according to Underdog ADP he's right about where he should be going AC assuming that he scores similarly to last year but in Yahoo in Yahoo he's being drafted 75th overall Underdog 61st overall I have him ranked 51st overall because there is a rumor that new offensive coordinator Liam Cohen is going to use Godwin more in the slot if this happens historically speaking Godwin's been better in the slot last year Godwin ranked 26th amongst wide receivers in slot snaps we know what happened he finished as the wide receiver 34 in fantasy points per game in 2022 Godwin ranked number four amongst wide receivers in slot snaps and he finishes the wide receiver 15 in fantasy points per game and in 2021 Godwin finishes the wide receiver eight in slot snaps and as a result he finished number seven amongst wide receivers in fantasy points per game I would assume that we are going if the rumors are true we're gonna get more slot usage for Chris Godwin Hallelujah and that means more fantasy points for Chris Godwin and he should definitely at any case even if he finishes like he did last year which he had one of the worst statistical Seasons that he's ever had last year the only one worse outside of his rookie year was in 2018 which would have been a sophomore year where he ranked number 36 amongst wide receivers and fantasy points per game so we have to go all the way back to 2018 to get a performance like we saw last year from Chris Godwin and if we get those slot snaps back if we get our slot Master back Chris Godwin then you could have the ultimate steel of the draft which is why I think Chris Godwin is the ultimate Steel in Yahoo drafts he might be the best pick you can make in a Yahoo draft but let me know what you think in the comments Kyle pittz we need to have a Kyle Pitts conversation about Kyle pittz last season Kyle pittz disappointed this the previous season Kyle pittz disappointed and he really hasn't done much of anything outside of getting a thousand receiving yards in his rookie season which is really impressive but there is still some apprehension to toward Kyle pittz this year because he spurned he spurned you guys he spurned drafters the last couple years but for some reason and somebody can just maybe they can educate me maybe somebody out there smarter than me probably there's probably a lot of people smarter than me out there but maybe somebody can can tell me why Drake London who I actually like uh at his current evaluation according to ESPN and Yahoo drafts and if again you can check out the the previous video where we discuss some of these other options somebody can maybe tell me why he's being drafted 77 77th overall uh 60th overall on Underdog so he's being he's according to the rankings he's even lower on Yahoo and according to my ranking I have him as one of the top tight ends so he's player number 44 overall for me so I'm very high on this what's perceived to be this second tier of tight ends and this offense is going to be completely different I don't know if I need to tell you or not but they have a new offensive coordinator in Zack Robinson who's coming from the Shawn McVey tree Kevin oconnell Kirk Cousins old quarterback from the Sha McVey tree so the offense should be relatively the same that means the passing volume's going to go up this this offense had barely 500 Targets in it last year Drake London Kyle pittz bejan Robinson outside of that I like Darnell Mooney not everybody agrees with me but there really isn't much in the way of of a competition for targets amongst the pass catchers which is why we thought Kyle pittz was going to be great last year and the year before because we thought even in a low passing volume offense Drake London should be really good Kyle pitch should be really good well now we're going to get that high passing volume offense plus the targets are going to be very efficient because we know Kirk Cousins throws the ball down the field very well so it's all adding up for Kyle Pitts to crush for Drake London to crush and this Atlanta offense just be exactly what we thought it was going to be for a couple years even better than we thought it was going to be because now they have Kirk Cousins so Evan Engram another tight end I can't get enough of and he's ranked 89th according to Yahoo 79th according to Underdog and 48th according to me because I'm insane I guess Evan Ingram Evan Ingram finished number two amongst tight ends in scoring overall scoring and and the tight end four in fantasy points per game last year and he saw whopping 143 targets last year and I get it it's probably not gonna happen again I understand but it could I mean Brian Thomas Jr's there he looks amazing Gabriel Davis we all know Gabriel Davis hasn't really been picture of consistency throughout his career but it's almost like we're ignoring the fact that he finished number one amongst tight ends and targets last year number two amongst tight ends and Target share in an offense that's going to throw the ball a lot the Jacksonville Jaguars ranked number six in team pass play per game while Trevor Lawrence was under Center and number two in Pace of play it's it's almost like we we just assuming that Evan Ingram's going to revert back he's going to put his head back in his tur shell and revert back to what he has been which is you know in 2022 tight end seven uh in fantasy points per game and 98 targets and and the reality is I don't think we're gonna see that that much of a step back for him I think we're looking at maybe 120 targets is that's what I have him projected for and if he gets 120 targets and he could score more than four receiving touchdowns which that's what he's gotten the last couple years if he gets more touchdown luck the touch the the targets which I think are coming could lead him to be the tight end one overall and he's currently being drafted at the tight end 8 and he's being drafted even later in Yahoo draft so to me this is why you can wait a little while on tight end although I wouldn't wait too long Evan Ingram's definitely the guy I want to draft and I would highly suggest that you draft him as well Caleb Caleb Williams Williams I get it he the the high train has is at an all-time high not only do we have a quarterback that's a rookie that was picked number one overall but he's playing with the Bears and the Bears have never had a quarterback and everybody's losing their minds but I do think that Caleb Williams is being underrated or overrated one of the rated he's being overrated or underrated hold on I'll figure it out eventually Caleb Williams is being underrated underrated according to Yahoo he is 114 off the board right now according to their preset rankings Underdog has him at 108 I have him at 82 I have him at 82 and I'm adjusting a little bit because I I feel the hype coming but I do think Caleb Williams is going to be very good this year he's got an elite cast of characters I think the offensive line is really good and I think he's really good and I think this Bears offense it it's going to be a little inconsistent because everything is with a rookie quarterback but trust me if you draft Caleb Williams as your quarterback in fantasy football in 2024 I don't think you're going to regret it okay Jerome Ford let's do something I didn't do in the ESPN video and let's talk about Jerome Ford let's talk about a running back baby a running back that's currently being drafted or currently ranked I keep saying drafted ranked according to the preset rankings number2 according to Yahoo number 121 according to Underdog ADP I have met pick 110 and this Cleveland offense I think is going to be good a lot hinges on whether deshun Watson can be good but Jerome Ford was serviceable when he replaced Nick chub when Nick chub went down with an injury and we know Nick chub is still rehabbing from that injury so there's a really good chance that Jerome Ford is gonna get a lot of touches gonna get a lot of opportunity in this offense once again and for a running back that's being drafted outside of the 10 the first 10 Rounds in Yahoo drafts I don't think it's really we don't I don't think we need to do paralysis by analysis here you can also get Nick chub as well like if you're at the 910 turn and you want to take both of these guys Nick chub put him on IR till he's ready and Jerome Ford and guarantee yourself a starting running back that's not a terrible move let me know if you think I'm crazy in the comments for some reason these ESPN Keon Coleman Yahoo they're all really low on the rookies and they're really low on Keon Coleman Keon Coleman's coming off the board at pick number 78 according to Underdog ADP I have him ranked at 87 so I'm lower than consensus on Underdog but on Yahoo where he's ranked 126th overall in an offense with 312 vacated targets where Keon Coleman could conceivably be the number one receiving option I get it it's probably going to be Dalton concave but there is a world an alternative Universe maybe it's this one where Keon Coleman is the number one Target in Buffalo I I'm stunned I'm I really am stunned that he's ranked this low and I get it he's he's a project he's not a finished player not many players are finished players when they enter the NFL but what we do know is Keon Coleman's an athletic freak and there are going to be times moments this year where he's going to put that on display and I think in those moments you're going to wish that you drafted him in fantasy football especially since he's going outside of the first 10 Rounds in Yahoo leagues Rico Dowdle let's talk little Rico D Rico d i I never expected to be the number one cheerleader for Rico D the number one Stan for Rico dle but I find myself in this position because I don't think Ezekiel Elliott is very good according to Yahoo they have him ranked at player 130 according to Underdog they have him at 123 I have him at player 112 and it it comes down to the simple fact that any according to any metric that you want to look at and I've I've broken it down uh many many times on my channel any any metric you want to look at Rico D is by far the more efficient running back at this stage of his career he just is like any anything you want to look at he was he was better in Breakaway runs he was better in true yards per carry he was better in Juke rate yards per touch all of it Rico D is just better and then you see some of this training camp footage and and Zeke's really not looking like it's not looking great for Zeke so the fact that Rico D again at player 130 according to Yahoo ADP or Yahoo the preset rankings I don't know why I keep saying ADP 130 according to the the Yahoo rankings or the preset rankings that's way too low for a running back who's gonna at least share time in a Cowboys offense that was really good last year Adonai Mitchell we're going to stick with the rookies these last four picks I mean when when we're talking the late rounds we're talking upside guys I Look to Target upside in the later rounds if you want to call these sleepers go ahead but Adonai Mitchell Adan I Mitchell I Underdog he's come coming off the board at pick 127 I have him at my as my player 120 Yahoo has him ranked as the player 158 and Adan I Mitchell by all accounts he's having a great training camp he's having a great off Seas he was one of the one of my favorite prospects in the draft and then he got drafted did a little bit later than we expected in round two some people thought he was going to get drafted in round one but he landed fairly well and and there was some skepticism because well Anthony Richardson who knows if he's going to be able to facilitate to multiple wide receivers right maybe that maybe that concern is genuine I've been playing fantasy football a long time sometimes it's we we we over complicate these situations sometimes it it just comes down to the talent and Adonai Mitchell is very talented and if you're talented you're going to get open and if you get open Anthony Richardson's going to find you he's going to break the pocket he's going to find Adan I Mitchell down the field and it's going to be it's going to be better than we think and so certainly where he's ranked right now he is an extreme value and because right now like where you're taking him even if you're taking him at pick 120 in like an underdog League there isn't much risk there and there's a ton of upside which is going to be a theme of the next three players we're about to talk about because up next we're going to talk about Jaylen pulk and I've talked about Ja'Lynn Polk Jaylen pulk a lot but he's ranked 156th in Yahoo's preset rankings I Haven him ranked 117th I have him ranked ahead of it ad I Mitchell because he could legitimately be the number one Target in this offense if you look at the Patriots depth chart it's de Mario Douglas it's Kendrick Bourne there there's not it's not necessarily like he's gonna be competing with a Michael Pitman for targets if you get what I mean there's Hunter Henry in New England you get what I'm trying to say and the fact that you can take him at pick in the 150s even though jacobe brassett is likely going to be his quarterback there's a lot of upside with that pick and again he this is this is a guy you can take in the 150s that you can make a reasonable argument should I put this guy in my Flex if they're playing against a bad defense a bad secondary you can absolutely make that argument and Jaylen pulk I could definitely see him having a pretty good rookie season even though this offense isn't that good okay let's finish with a Jaylen Wright couple of my favorites jayen Wright I've talked about him before but it's absolutely Preposterous that he's being drafted or I keep saying he's being drafted he's not being drafted like he's just being ranked by Yahoo at player 172 and I assume these are going to change a little bit but anyway jayen Wright ranked 172 overall according to Yahoo way too low way too low because Jaylen Wright let's face it is in an offense a dynamic offense he's looked great in the preseason the two running backs that are ahead of him Devon Chan everybody likes but he's 180 pounds there's a chance he could get hurt he was hurt a couple times last season only played in 11 games Raheem moer scored a thousand million touchdowns last year that's probably not going to happen this season and I posed the question on Twitter I said what if Jaylen Wright is the new Raheem mostard that could happen because Raheem Mo's also injury-prone as well so what if this backfield what if the question isn't should I avoid Devana Chan what if the question is I should avoid Raheem moster and draft Jaylen Wright at ADP because I think that's really smart last Xavier Legette but not least perhaps the most Preposterous ranking according to Yahoo is Xavier Legette Xavier legett being ranked 202nd overall according to Underdog he's player 153 off the board I have him as my player 142 let's face it there aren't many big-time Playmakers in Carolina Deontay Johnson's nice but I I wouldn't necessarily describe him as a DK meaf athletic freak who can just who's just a burner deep down the field Xavier Legette is definitely what the Carolina Panthers need now is he gonna be everything they hoped he could be because let's face it they've struck out on the last couple wide receivers they've drafted Jonathan Mingo doesn't look very good and teris Marshall is not happening so I think that's where a lot of this apprehensiveness is coming from but at pick 202 mate heck even before that they why not it doesn't cost you anything to find out because I believe this Carolina Panthers offense is going to be better they upgraded the offensive line they spent hundred million do on Robert hunt Damen Lewis the guards to protect Bryce young up the middle because I know he's not he's not as big as we'd like him to be but if he's protected up the middle that's going to give him time to find Deontay Johnson Adam thielen and Xavier Legette and you can you better believe that they you know they took Xavier Legette in the first round and they took him in the first round because they needed a big-time playmaker and they clearly identified that so they're gonna draw up plays for Xavier Legette and that their new Coach Dave Canales was in the draft room and I'm sure he had input on some of the offensive skill position players that they were drafting he had input on Jonathan Brooks jaavan Sanders Xavier Legette so these players are they they drafted them for a reason and I'm assuming Xavier Legette they're going to have a big plan for him and outside the top 200 picks all right real quick BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! before we go we're going to recap some other players that are also being drafted in Yahoo way too late that were also being drafted in ESPN way too late Drake London being picked 23rd overall in ESPN and Yahoo way too low Nico Collins Yahoo ranked 29th overall we covered it in the SPN video Malik neighbors 45th overall according to Yahoo he was is 47th overall in the ESPN rankings Rashi rice 73rd overall according to Yahoo that's a fantastic pick if Rashi rice plays a full season uh I have him ranked as the 30th player I have two rankings for Rashi rice one if he get suspended one if he doesn't get suspended now if he gets suspended Rashi rice drops down to my player 100 overall and I do it by projectable points like total amount of fantasy points but still like he's going to be more valuable than that than that rank because like if he gets suspended six week weeks which I'm which what I'm projecting right now he is still going to have weeks where he's gonna be awesome in fantasy Xavier worthy the fact that he's ranked outside the top 100 in both Yahoo and ESPN is ridiculous and the same is true with Brian Thomas Jr Brian Thomas Jr ranked way too low according to ESPN and in Yahoo is being ranked at the player number 113 thank you for watching the video don't forget to click the like button subscribe to the
