CHANGES HOW THE STATE FUNDS SCHOOLS DIVERTING MORE MONEY TO HISTORICALLY UNDER FUNDED SCHOOLS MUCH AS BRANDON GOLDNER EXPLAINS CURRENT LEADERS ARE WORRIED ABOUT WHAT THEY'LL IS HAVE HAVE TO GIVE UP TO MAKE UP FOR THE LOSS IN FUNDING. >> Reporter: LENAPE REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT FOUND OUT A FEW DAYS AGO STATE AID TO HER DISTRICT WILL BE CUT BY $4.69 MILLION. >> WE ARE IN UTTER DISBELIEF. WE THOUGHT THAT PERHAPS MAYBE IT WAS A MISTAKE, AND WHEN WE DOUBLE CHECKED THAT IT WASN'T A MISTAKE, UM, OUR DISBELIEF TURNED INTO SHOCK AND DEVASTATION. >> Reporter: SHOCK OVER THE LAST SEVEN YEARS THEY DEALT WITH INCREMENTAL BUDGET CUTS FORCING THEM TO ELIMINATE COURTESY BUSING WITHIN 2.5 MILES. IMPOSE ATHLETIC AND ACTIVITY FEES AND REDUCE STAFF THROUGH ATTRITION. THIS LATEST ROUND WOULD BE DEVASTATING. >> WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE VERY DEEP CUTS WHICH WILL UNFORTUNATELY IMPACT SOME OF THE GREAT PROGRAMS THAT WE KNOW PEOPLE MOVE TO OUR COMMUNITIES TO HAVE THEIR STUDENTS EXPERIENCE IN OUR HIGH SCHOOLS. >> Reporter: ALARMS LENAPE PATTERN JOHN SCULLION WHO WROTE AN E-MAIL EXPRESSING FRUSTRATION WITH THESE CUTS. >> THESE PROPOSED CUTS THAT ARE COMING DOWN RIGHT NOW, UM, WOULD BE A DEVASTATING IMPACT ON OUR STUDENTS AND OUR FAMILY. >> Reporter: CHERRY HILL SCHOOL SAYS IT'S ALSO FACING DIFFICULT FINANCIAL DECISIONS AFTER ITS STATE AID SLASHED BY $6.9 MILLION. VOORHEES SAYS ITS FUNDING WAS CUT A BY CAMELEON DOLLARS. GOVERNOR MURPHY'S OFFICE SAYS THE GOVERNOR WASN'T ABLE FOR INTERVIEW. THE OFFICE REFERRED US TO THIS COMMENTS HE MADE LAST WEEK HE HE EMPHASIZED 423 SCHOOLS WILL INCREASE A FUNDING INCREASE. >> MANY MORE GO UP THAN DOWN. WE WORK WITNESS ONES THAT GO DOWN.
