Another year get back out. There are no prove ourselves again. So looking forward to it. Obviously hoping for a great health this year a couple of good bounces here and there but no just ready to ready to roll said, yeah. I'm coming around the same way as last year so been been around the same. Last year in terms of expectations and not going well and how do you think as a leader some of the younger guys will apply this year? Well, I feel our expectation was always stay the same obviously no injuries and everything that we dealt with last year some things you can't control but what we can control is our attitude and how we kind of work every single day no matter what that is. So we have some added some more great addition. So I'm through our draft class you're on routers from great players do free agency. Picked up this offseason. So just you know keep adding to our talent pool and let's get to work and you know build our team together one of those players. She's not here today with Reddick deciding to hold out and speaking as the leader of the defense. How does that resonate in the locker room when you don't have a guy that good here, I mean when you deal with no contract and things like that, it doesn't really get to the locker room because you know, we don't control that so when he does get here then no we're Bill to have our two cents. But now we know he's a pro. He's been he's been at the highest level of competition. So I'm sure whenever that's that gives worked out. He'll be here ready to roll. So when he gets here just be another great player to add to our defensive line. I haven't Just his ability to pass rush. Obviously. He's a high-energy guy ha motor. So no just looking forward to know out of that to the team when he gets here. You're a greater sense of urgency this year. I mean knowing some you have some older players. You have a 40 year old Quarterback does That does that kind of tighten the window? I mean some would say so my sense of urgency is always been high every time I step on the field. So yeah, I mean I act like I said expectations are the same doesn't change. So we're going to come out here taking one day at a time the attorney count no work hard and get ready. To go against each other for a few weeks and then get ready for this pretty soon the games then let's get ready to roll for the season. So that will just take it one day at a time for us. The culture and changing the culture. Do you feel like that's been accomplished here or you think you can't stay there until you guys with? I guess yes and no obviously when I first got here the coach is definitely not the same as it was as it is now, but at the end of the day this is about wins and losses and obviously holding up our Super Bowl trophy at the end. So to complete the culture is to win a Super Bowl so that we've been taking the right tracks as soon as I said before but you know, just like we've got to keep the main thing the main thing, you know stay focused for this for this Camp work on the things you need to work on come out healthy and start the season. strong That sense of urgency and having a good year. This year is up to the player is up to us. When we step out on the field, you know, it's going to be up to us every single day another coaches. You only do so much off the field far as this game and all that is is going to be up to us to you know, make it work communicate study. No keep our bodies right and mentally mentally be prepared for a long season. What are you looking forward to most about this defensive unit and getting on the field tomorrow? I just taking our next step. No, we've proven ourselves to be a lead defense know we've got a lot of great players at different positions. We have some great backup players to so no just for us just continue to keep growing keep building our confidence keep building. No just the position that we put ourselves in and not take taking this stuff back. I think being a ultimate competitor being been a how much hard work every single by to put in running that fail not just here but everybody have super high expectation every single year just doing the things that we can do and this organization and I feel to win football game. That's me. That means the most thing that means the ultimate thing to win the Super Bowl. So you gotta win football games. You got to win every single down you gotta win on the field on the field. So that's our main focus right now, and they're really the expectation just the wind every single day. So, how did last year? Can you repeat again? Take yet a lot of high expectations and then it seems like that's going to be the case again. Just how connected going through what you went through last year help you this time. Oh, you know me man. I really appreciate not focus on the outside noise, even when it's going good even was going bad. I'm not really focused on the outside know it but just to Inner Peace in the inner doors that we have amongst ourselves the expectation. We have amongst ourselves the standard that we have among the highest self and really focus on that. So if we hold each other to us, Super high standard hold each other to a super high expectation and really vibe off each other and work for each other. It would be great. So the standard is kind of what is your standard understanding of his defense? Oh, my standard is Excellence greatness Excellence every single day. My standard as a defense has excellent greatness every single day. And this team is the same thing. We got a great quarterback who set their standard every single day man, when he comes in here is greatness, man. He's a ultimate MVP man. A Hall of Famer and he said the standard by heat the way he just walked by the way. He talked to while he interact with the safeties the deal. I'm the punter the kids or anybody like I feel like he said the standard every single day for this whole team and for us as other leaders and younger guys to arm to carry that standard also and to push on to each and every one of us. Oh Is there anything different about Aaron as a leader and has only one day and now this year compared to last year what he was new here? No, he's been the same person ever since man. That's just like we say last year like I'm saying this year on he was here every single day during OTAs putting in the work grinding showing everybody like hey like this is the way we're going to do things around here. This is the way I'm gonna do things just the way I want you guys do things and different things like that. So he's a very hard working person on the field and off the field and just do the things that are necessary to be a great person in the MVP Hall of Fame callable quarterback that he is and to help us be MVP Hall of Fame positions in player that we can be so what ways do you think the defense can be better than last year execution? I feel like consistent execution. Let me say that is certain games on speaking on like I would just watch it one this morning. Just watch your fam being bored was Dallas last year. We didn't execute at a high level. We didn't be consistent at a high level and certain games got out of whack certain game got out of 10, like speaking on are watching another game on Washington how in the end the lack the second half of Washington game didn't really go as well. As we wanted to and it come down to execution standpoint or considers the standpoint. So the biggest thing for the we very talented very together very chemistry, but I feel like we got to be more Ace we gotta execute at a very high level. Not just the first half not just the first quarter but the full 60 minutes and be consistent. What was your reaction when you found out I wasn't here today. So it wasn't a big reaction man who sign is a great person on the field and off the field. A great teammate great great talent, when it comes down to pass rushing to come down to run stopping and doing the things that he can do and I was in this position last year. So I know how the organization works. I know how Joe Douglas and kosala and all those guys works and knowing him person has a great competitor and a great person who wants to be who wants to win championships, and I know they're going to get everything ironed out. So It definitely I want to say I do I try to stay out of all that I know he's an amazing football player. I know he's an amazing person. I know this organization is amazing when it comes down to getting those things done in a decent time. So I'm pretty sure that you're going to iron everything out but he's a phenomenal football player man, when he stepped on this film and he changed the whole whole thing whole Aura of a just because he's a guy that can put a 15 plus x a year 10 plus x a year different things like that. So I'm just blessed to have Film on my side. So going back to Saint is there going to be a lot he has to pick up or do you think you know, it's just at the attack mentality that you guys play with he'll be able to pick that up. I just think we got a bunch of great guys and I deepest line room bunch of great coaches and are white kind and brick and different things like that who can teach him and he's a very smart player man. He's got so much experience and bending his knee. Like I say, he's a hall of Fame MVP caliber is Russia. So when it come down to the teaching him to things with come down to showing him to stand there and show him different things. Like it's gonna be like riding a bike for him because we got so many great defensive lineman and I room so many great coaches in our room to help him come up to speed and do the things that he got to do to fit in with us. So he's amazing man. Just the things he's been doing the last 56 years man. You putting up double-digit sacks in the last week 5 Five six years and something like that. So A person that can change games like when he changed the guess the they change the game vs. San Fran with the script fumble and just the different things he do man. He's a game changer for sure man a guy who Super High Caliber a guy who can Rush The Edge who can stop the run. He could do it all at a super Elite lever. So I'm just like I always say I'm just super excited to have him on my side of the ball to my team to help me out. So Talked about consistency and execution first year ago. How much better is defense Gap the sky's the limit man. I don't want to ever put a I guess a bracket on whatever we can do as get better man, because so many guys changed man. You got your main Johnson coming into his third year who can be a pro bowl All-Pro kind of guy Pro Bowl kind of guy. You got a guy like sauce who's getting better and better and also teaching and different things like that. So, So man you can is the sky's the limit with this defense man, especially when you get a defense that Stalin their wheels and the good things we did in the past. And now that we got even better more things to get correct more things to be more sound on more things to be more consistent on and and be more violent on and dominate more man the sky's the limit.
