think the problem is and this been going on in the NBA for how long a player gets hurt the team is successful and then what do we all say they better without him they don't need him this is not the first time I've seen this happen when Memphis went on that that win streak without John Mor how many people were saying Memphis is better without him didn't even think about trading them this happens working sometimes I got you Julius Rand what they're doing to him as far as media is sad now we said last Nicks rehab it's only two three players that we would take a phone call I think we said Giannis to a certain extent cat and we'll get to that later you said you said sabonis and I said sabonis now if we talking about a straight up trade sabonis for Julius Randall oh yeah it's going down it's going down but I'mma Be honest they got something up their sleeve it has to be a reason why he didn't sign that extension yet there has to be something behind this but I don't understand why everybody is doing this to Julius Randall every week his name is in trade his name is in all type I I I don't get it I don't get it but I disagree with Pat be as far as like um because what he said about the the James haunt and Paul George thing I disagree with that I totally disagree with that like I said I don't think Mel Bridges or OG has nothing to do with Julius Randall that they don't play no similar type of style they don't play even though I think OG is a three I don't think he's a four but of course for us he's probably gonna play the four at times so for me do I think Julius Randle feel some type of way yes do I think the leadership of Brunson and then all the guys probably talking him like yo bro pay that no mind you good over here we want you here we straight I think that right there calms him down but initially I really think they do he feel some type of way because I would like yo what's going on and then you have former players and all the analysts it's like they basically want you out of New York I don't get it but Fleet with I never thought about Pat when Patrick Beverly said James Harden goes there he knew Paul George was out the door I never thought about it like that like what do you think about that you think that add to Randle like ah I'm out N I think I think we forget how good we looked prior to him getting hurt last season I know that once he hurt his shoulder all the basketball prior to that seems like ancient history history but we were a damn good basketball team when he was on the floor with us with what we have right but I think a lot of things have changed in such a short amount of time that the mere fact of us even thinking to move Julius it's not it's not the worst thing in the world right and just hear me out we talk about a guy that at his Peak for us 2410 and five right shooting 40% from three all NBA player Allstar level player I just feel like it's all about how you go get what you got so he averages 25 a game that 25 a game he gets is very very different than how a jannis may go get 25 or how uh a Brunson goes get 25 or an embiid or any top player you think about it just looks different and for me Julius gets it and it's very much like a Melo Melo being the ball stops when he gets it he's not doing a lot of cutting he's not doing a lot of catching and shooting he's not doing a lot of stuff that we flourished with once he went down the ball moved a lot more fluid a lot of things a lot more options were available to us when he was on the court this is not an indictment on him saying he's a bad player I just don't think it's a bad idea to start thinking about what life looks like without him being on the roster right but again if we keep him I'm not jumping out the window saying this that's a bad move he just has to change in my opinion his role what he thinks he is is he going to be the second best player on the team without a doubt but him being the second best player on the team does that mean we gonna be a top three seed If he if he's the second best player on our team I don't know I don't know the addition of Bridges bring get trading for Bridges signing OG and then getting getting Randle back that's like that's like a gift who who would complain about a team that was number two in the East win 50 games and we go to the offseason going into next season with three guys coming back like this that's that's a good problem but I think it it's going to turn into a problem if we don't face it what are we going to do with the minutes the rotation it changes people's minutes are going to change Julius might not be playing 35 minutes a game you can't sit Bridges long stretches like this stuff that I think tip is gonna have to figure out and the easiest way to figure it out is moving Julius that's the easiest way wow we keep them now you got a coach you gotta coach tibs you got a coach I all I ever asked for with Julius Randall the Knicks make him the second and third best play on the team and and I'm fine and they did that but I just never thought about an NBA player coming out and saying I've seen this before that James Harden going to the Clippers was a thing for Paul George to leave as well because that means more money taken up by the cap we're not talking about the Nova Knicks with Brunson taking less money for you to stay of course but he is Du for more money cuz he's the one who took less money first Julius Randall that is I just never thought about that but any given night I was going back and rewatching that footage at any given night Randle looks like the best player on the team or the fourth best player on the team and it that's okay because when you look like the third or fourth best player that means everybody else just going off there's nothing you could do about it but that catch when he catches the ball behind the three-point line gets to the paint kicks out Brunson can't do that Brunson cannot we don't have anybody that could do that and he was doing that with ease on a lot of teams the the passes were a little bit not too fluid him leaving would be like we saw what hartstein would happen like if we felt it but with Randle that will kill us like I just emotionally because from where we went from with him like I don't care I never cared about him wanted him traded to now where it's like he earned our respect and he earned the place on the team where he fits I didn't see that coming so if he wants to go still nah man you a part of the whole reason why this thing is here right now that's that's maybe it's our job as a fan to keep pushing as that instead of kicking him while he's down letting Pat Bev talk like that c n man he's I've seen enough Lee that that guy went from shooting eight three pointers a game to two or three that's great that's great I just need to know does he fit right now I know what happened two years ago three years ago four years ago I'm talking about right now if we turn this into trying to appease Julius Rand OG like if we turn this into Force speeding him to basketball wanting him to be comfortable trying to get him you know his confidence back up that takes away from Brunson that takes away from what he's trying to do what he's already established that takes away ingratiating a lot of other guys that are gonna be key for us so like I does he fit I agree with Fabian but is it the best fit going forward that that I'm I'm I'm undecided about I'm be honest um y'all both make great points but I hate that I'm I hate I almost have to agree with flee in the sense that we don't know if he's a good fit anymore um the only way we're gonna find out is him on the court but then Fleet you know you make a great Point um he's definitely a ball stopper like right now if we had melow it wouldn't work like if we had a PR carelo Anthony with this roster it wouldn't work so right now in the NBA fit is everything we seen it with Damen L and Yannis soon as Dame went there I went crazy oh they went in a CHP and it seems like the fit wasn't right but when you had Drew holiday there it seemed like the fit was seamless so right now this is the Tom Tibido problem this is a tips problem this is where great coaching comes in he has to figure this out flee um I think for us to move Julius Randall it has to make perfect sense we can't just move him because we think not saying us but just in general we can't move him because we think he's not a good fit or he's a ball stoper or this no it has to make sense like I said if it's sabonis if it's Giannis we get into the cat thing later then is definitely a discussion but this is the tips problem and I give you a couple teams that had a whole lot of good players and they made it work we can go back to Portland when they had Scotty Pippen and all them dudes they made it work you could even go to the Lakers gar Soul Mamba when he had uh Lamar odm artes all them guys so you have teams with rosters that can go 8 n 10 Deep but with great coaching they make it work with the minutes this is why Phil Jackson is the Zen master because just imagine having all these players all these personalities all these good players how were you gonna how was those minutes gonna work flee the shot selection I get what you saying chips got to figure it out but like I said for me it's only two guys I'm not I'm not hay on cat no more we gonna get to that because I seen a uh a video of him working out I hated it jannis sabonis all that [ __ ] propaganda I know but I prefer want sabonis but I agree Le I don't know if he fits right now and I don't know if he's gonna take away from Brunson and just let me finish this point it's human nature to be the number one and then another guy comes in and takes your spot you're going to dislike the situation regardless it doesn't mean he's going to dislike Brunson but some guys it's hard to give up that that key to the kingdom and right now with Brunson being the captain look at the love listen man Julius Rand might have to be moved because what if this affects his play on the court this is tough man it's tough well to credit to to fabian's credit he always highlights how much Julius adjusted early on when we started to see Jaylen Brunson rise we you saw saw Julius Randall make a consider like it was evident that he was adjusting on how he approaches and and how he approaches the game um what his role was on the team for us to be successful you saw a different Julius Randle last year before he got hurt so maybe we not giving him enough credit right now for to to be able to adjust on the fly but he's coming back from injury we got a lot of new pieces right that did well before OG got hurt we were look you saw how he looked he looked amazing right Mel Bridges everywhere he goes he's a gamer what do I mean by gamer he doesn't miss he's always available and he play and he plays High minutes and he defends and he hits open shots so it's going to be hard to take him off the floor late in late game situations it's just gonna be there's things that we got to figure out as a basketball team and you know you relegate Josh Hart and divon chenzo to the bench rolls now but them guys gotta play those guys gotta play I can't I can't see Randle seeing what happened last year and now you got both wings with two two Defenders like that and two guys who could shoot from the three like that and they open things up for you and just want to say I'm not going to see this through especially halfway through if he if if he has a problem with the contract or whatever it is you have more of a chance of getting a better deal going wherever you want to or what or getting more leverage if you play this out and show everybody you're going to be at Peak Performance cuz there is what other situation can you go to and you got a spread offense basically you could go four or five and out the ncks are going five and out today flee when the hell was the last time we could ever say something like that f a five out four whatever the hell you call it four1 one four whatever the hell they call it I mean because we got guys that could shoot right but Randall could never say that ever in his career this is the most opportunity you will have to show off your skill set in this era in the NBA because you couldn't do this back in the day now we know for a fact is what they look for the Golden State you know they they symbolized it but I I just can't see him giving up on this like this is too too much too much of an opportunity every which way you look at it by staying here disagree if we're gonna if we're gonna do that you gotta do it before training camp like I would hate to make a trade in the middle of the Season again this like OG like we said seamless fit we traded OG and everything went up and it did nobody had to adjust nobody had to do anything different OG was just a seamless fit and we kept rolling we actually got better right with a with a with a sabonis and Randall move in the middle of the season for two teams that are you know actually vying for playoff spots like they we have high expectations coming into this season so do the kings if we decide by January that that it's not working out or they got Demar De Rose in that fit or maybe we want to think about moving Sab bonus and now okay things are not working that swap is gonna take some time for us to gain our traction again it's just that's just how that works when you add those kind of players A og a Mel Bridges a role player comes in that's different that's different they they know they role they come in and and they do what they got to do uh to help the team win sabonis is somebody we will have to rely on Sacramento gets Julius Randle that is somebody they will rely on right and in the middle of the season that's tough for me Fabian so if we all gonna do it I would I would much rather us do it at training camp we could you know set ourselves and you know what I mean like put ourselves in in position to um to get some chemistry get some things rolling right that's where you build that and in training camp so that's the only reason why I I wouldn't do it midseason if we gonna do it I got I gotta concede yeah that's a great point I mean great points but I said this a while ago you're a do hard Knicks fan like us like everybody in the chat we have to be careful because once again we fall in love with the players and then all of a sudden they're Untouchable I always make this joke we love John star so much that we probably wouldn't have traded him for Michael Jordan I'm I'm I'm listen we have to start being realistic and flea I I when you say this it really has me thinking what do teams do to upgrade to put themselves in position to win a championship now we all agreed we owe Randall that much to see how this is going to work out but it's no way in the world if the right trade comes along we don't we don't take it Julius Randle is not an Untouchable guy not
