connected. Reporting live. I'm Gigi Graciette back to you. All right, Gigi, thank you. Firefighters this morning set up containment lines fighting the Vista fire behind behind Mount Baldy in the San Bernardino National Forest. The fire has now charred more than 2800 acres since Sunday. Mario live for us in Lytle Creek with an update. Hi there, Mario. Hi, Araksya. Sandra. And as you mentioned, it continues to burn through the San Bernardino National Forest. Hundreds of structures continue to be threatened and there are evacuation orders in place for the Mount Baldy area. Take a look at the latest firefighting efforts now at 13% containment, the Vista Fire was mapped just over 2800 acres during an infrared mapping flight overnight, growing another 100 acres. Officials say. The fire continues to burn west of Lytle Creek Road near Stockton Flats and it started as a small brush fire last weekend. Since then, crews have been working to establish containment lines in rugged and steep terrain, and they made progress overnight. This has been a week with high heat, low humidity and windy conditions. There was a community meeting held here last night where US Forest Service officials talked about the untouched fuels in the area, which makes them more vulnerable to catching fire. Where the fire initiated, there's really no recordable fire history, and that goes back 100 years or so. So what that means is not only is there steep slopes, but there's a lot of dead fuels on the ground. And the last three, four weeks of really hot temperatures have dried out. Those fuels. The Mount Baldy resort area, under a level three evacuation order with more than 400 structures, threatened portions of the Pacific crest Trail closed from Lytle Creek to Mount Baldy, along with additional trails below Mount Baldy and resort officials announced today that they'll remain closed through the weekend because of that fire activity, also canceling a big five K event there this weekend. Back out here live the cause of the fire under investigation. And although hundreds of structures are threatened,
