Miami Hurricanes Football Defeat UF Gators 34 Years Down The Drain

Hurricanes have defeated the Florida Gators 41- 17 what a time what a moment in Miami Hurricanes football history Ross I love it I love it Ross you know it too I honestly felt like this was a bigger win than Notre Dameon 2017 oh easily easily I mean spectacular time we haven't gone live in so long and we're back among such a great Victory yes and and I'll be honest you know this off season you know cam Ward with the nil right A lot of people were saying is he worth the money amongst myself we didn't know we didn't know we had no idea I thought cam Ward was the best quarterback we've seen in over 20 years at the University of Miami okay the year is 202 for in over 20 years since over 2004 the pass he made to jacobe George Ross oh that was I I beautiful it was gorgeous I think I and I'm gonna say this right now people are gonna get mad at me I I don't think kend dorsy can make that pass Ross I don't think kend dorsy can make that pass I I will go as far as backing on that um kend dorsy was was not the kind of guy who really LED his receivers as more as he just found them open um cam Ward seems to learn how to get his receivers open he leans them open he he he coerces them open with with the moves that he makes behind the line of scrimmage or the passes that he makes you know coming out of his hands I mean the the guy literally can uh I don't um I don't know how you say it but but he can cons Str struct the offense from his arm and his legs by itself he can determine what we do on a drive by Drive basis as a singular player we haven't had that Paul Paul when's the last time we had that I can't recall Ross like they shades of deer King in the sense of like a game changer yeah they there are shades of deer King but like no cam Ward as a passer it's elite yeah it's elite Ross yeah and and you can't spend that you can't spend that no you can't no I if if if King is here as a passer Ward is here as a passer they're both very very very good athletes there I will never take that away from Derek King he was an athlete and a leader and I will never take that away and I think that's something that helped build our quarterback program and there and and you can't you can't really knock that honestly like in my opinion you can't knock that leadership is a huge huge huge deal and then to have somebody come in like cam Ward who not only has leadership but production on top of it and then just proved it against an instate rival and against Florida Paul we're talking about Florida Gators man we just schooled them we just put them in the gutter they're done re recruiting transfer portal anything like that you want to go to Florida go ahead go ahead and play with Florida we'll go and whoop your freaking ass later but come to Miami if you want to win right now because we just proved something today we just proved something and now while we have to continue to prove it don't get me wrong don't get me wrong it still has to be something that you know continues in the future but damn man I'm proud of this team right now I'm freaking proud of this team byebye bossworth cigar victories are out no doubt about it I am 100% smoking cigar after tonight's individuals in Kirk hery as well which to be fair excuse me it's okay Kirk hery has pulled for Miami for a very long time but a lot of individuals had Miami losing today's game and yet Miami comes out 4117 smash him in the mouth smash him in the mouth and the thing I will say about cam Ward is that he looked very nonchalant he looked very loose Ross he like he was in that situation from time and time again a lot of people said that cam Ward will never see a hostile environment like the swamp in Gainesville well guess what he looked very comfortable in the swamp at Gainesville 90k sold out yeah he looks very comfortable he looks very comfortable Ross did you see any stress from him in this game play I didn't see any stress I Ross I didn't see any worry Ross the connection he had with Xavier Restrepo what out the money I didn't see that coming money I didn't see that coming Ross money the the the connection he had with Xavier stpo out the gate I did not predict that I thought it was GNA take time it was out the gate Ross you know what that tells me Paul is that tells me the caliber of quarterback we have and the caliber of possession receiver we have Xavier stpo is the genuine true reception receiver he is he he's the guy you need to get between five to 15 yards and he'll get you that he will get you that he will he will get open and he'll make the play it's just the way it was and dude how I mean Paul we I I got to bring it up man I mean we had a a touchdown today from a ninth year tight end yes that's just interesting I'm sorry but that's that's just interesting it is yeah it is um apparently he earned his I mean McCormick has has obviously earned his role I mean obviously he wouldn't have got that shot if he didn't but man I mean how rare how rare is that to see seriously and now we have a royal behind him who showed that he could actually do some some big time performances himself so we don't just have McCormick out there blocking we've got a pass catching tight end and a Royo who can change the offense up a little bit as well and dude Ross that that's a big deal it is keep in mind Ross last year with Shannon Dawson the tight ends being utilized was obsolete yeah it was obsolete they they were nowhere to be found so it's a breath of fresh air saying hey Shannon Dawson's opening up the Playbook with tiend yes yes Elijah Royal we saw flashes of Elijah Lofton which people in the off season said he was the best player on the field kind of reminds me of Richard Gordon in that 2003 2004 year when we opened up against Marshall at the OB but I hope he does well I hope he does well are are you worried he's gonna get stuck in the HB kind of rule or no no I mean I just want him to produce I hate the I hate the overhyping stuff if Elijah Lofton is the best man on the field give him targets right get him on the field and give him targets and I feel like we we we did we did today as an offense you know yeah yeah it it's it's refreshing to see the tight ends be involved especially on a third down basis I mean there wasn't there a situation where we had a royal get us a first down on third down I believe yes um of course to to see that getting mold back into our offense it's so huge because we still have guys like Riley Williams I mean we have freak athletes that are sitting back there that are that are still ready to emerge that haven't hit their Pinnacle yet absolutely and they're ready to emerge and hopefully we pop them out at the right time at the right place and it just [ __ ] sorry excuse me for the language but it just works out beautifully it just works out I I I feel like we have a very solid tight end package because we have a variance of tight ends we don't just have one single type of tight end we don't have a 6 fo s 6 foot6 everybody's you know the same size same height we have a variance of tight ends who can actually play from HB to actually a slot receiver kind I mean Elijah Lofton could actually play a slot receiver kind of role if he really wanted to so we've got variety and I and I think that's a good thing to look forward to Ross um in regards to cam Ward yeah I thought personally this was the best performance I've seen in 20 years of Miami Hurricanes football I was born in 1994 okay yeah I live through kandori I live through Brock Berlin I live through Kirby Freeman Kyle Wright Brad Ka Malik roier and Coy Perry jiren Williams you name it I thought cam Ward's performance tonight was the best performance I've seen in 20 years of Miami Hurricanes football I'm not gonna say what people are thinking after that statement about going to New York going for the Heisman Trophy I understand because it's only one game yeah but cam Ward touchdown pass to jacobe George could not be replicated by kend dorsy could not be replicated by kend dorsy tell me in the chat and I would love to hear from the public I can see I I disagree because I have not seen a quarterback at the University of Miami complete a pass like that in over 20 years and I would love someone in the chat to disagree with me because I know I'm right what I will say about our current quarterback is that he reads his options and he has no problem spreading the ball around and that's what I love man I watched him read from left to right to right to left I I watched it multiple times even when the rush was on while he was fading off to the you know if he was fading off to the right side and yes he did make some mistakes throwing crossbody Crossfield yes he did make some mistakes but I'll live with those mistakes with the rest of the positives that he has though you know like I I he's a smart enough quarterback to learn from that I think I truly believe that and uh here's the thing Ross here's the thing first half Two Carries for 36 rushing yards yeah I'm nitpicking right here I would have loved to seen cam Ward take off more in the second half yeah we saw it in the first half Two Carries for 36 rushing yards take off more and very very easy 36 yards right yeah take off more the the interception he had Ross I don't know if you remember the replay the interception cam Ward had he had an he he was wide open on the left side he could have taken off at least cross body on the throw yes you know it just you you just can't you can't trust your qb1 to throw crossbody on a throw like that in in a atmosphere like this you know what he might have gotten away with that at wazu yeah he might have gotten away with that at wazu against when he played Eastern Washington University and when he played Partland State you know and those kind of things this is still Florida I mean just because we beat them doesn't mean they don't have talent so he's he's just gotta just kind of just take a step back and just go hey you know what that that isn't smart that isn't how we're going to win games right and I and I think cam Ward is that kind of quarterback honestly I really do I think he's the kind of quarterback who's gonna take a step back and go hey you know what that was not best for my offense I'm gonna do what's best for my offense going forward and I think him and Dawson will work very well together as far as I'm concerned they work pretty well together week won they work pretty damn well together Ross the the relationship cam ward has with rreo out the gate oh man beautiful I was worried about thatti I was worried about that Ross how is that relationship that Tyler van djk had with rrep going to translate to The Following season I was worried about that Ross smooth transition yeah smooth transition yeah oh you can explain even more than that smooth smooth as the word you can't explain it more than that when you have a possession receiver that you know can increase yardage no matter whenever you dump it off to him if you dump it off to him at three yards he's going to get eight yards you dump it off to him at five yards he's going to get 13 yards you know what I'm saying like he's he Restrepo is that kind of guy for him and to see they already have that kind of build and bond dude it's only it's only plus plus plus plus plus plus for the University of Miami on offense seriously if those two can connect on a regular basis that makes sure everybody else is open that that's how that's how simple it is that's how simple football can get sometimes no I I 100% agree by the way um running back room you have Martinez Jordan ly Mark Fletcher yeah goddamn what a good what a goodl looking running back room huh ly has got some his ability to cut is is a little ridiculous it's a little ridiculous he's not there yet like I mean he's he's still working way into it but dude Jordan Lyall is going to be a stud running back for us in the future I have no problem saying that right now I have no problem saying that as a freshman Jordan Lyle will be an absolute stud running back for us going forward we're still doing the power game Fletcher works perfectly within that mold so we still have the youth coming behind that you know we have our leaders ship at a running back but we but what's nice is that we have some youth behind them that still complements those traits and even adds to some of those traits like someone like ly L doesn't just compliment he adds to those traits that's a big deal going into the season Ross I stressed a lot a lot about secondary yeah I stressed a lot about the secondary they came up big today they came up huge they did overall thoughts because honestly I I I was impressed I was impressed yeah they came up huge and I doubted them as a fan as a dieh hard fan I doubted them I doubted that secondary tonight I thought Graham Merz was going to put up a clinic against that secondary and I was wrong did you think now I'm just curious me asking you um did you think it was gonna be something they tried to like take darl Porter out of the game or did you think they had no problem throwing towards them I think it was more of no problem throw throwing towards him right okay okay I mean I think it was that arrogance of being part of the SEC that it's like hey like yeah we CH better competition than you've ever never seen yeah and I think it was more of that arrogance right throwing towards him like Hey we're gonna we're gonna try to expose you which they did not yeah I I I completely I agree I I think they thought they might have had a a a crease or an or an image they thought they could you know perhaps break us down with but you know what the one thing I will admire with Porter is is that when Porter gets beat he doesn't let the guy get beat for deep he'll bring him down he'll take that 15 yard penalty and you know what it's a bummer to have to get beat it it is a bummer to have to get beat but you know what to take the 15 over a 45 yard I'll take it dude I'll take it and that that's where it comes with the mentality of being in the college game for long enough to understand that you know what hey this 15 yards isn't worth giving up 75 yards you know what I'm saying and and I think that's where Daryl parter is at within his game he he is a very very skilled technician he's not you know Uber athletic or anything like that but he is a skill technician in his craft and and I think that no matter what he's going to help us out throughout the rest of this year keep in mind guys I mean Florida Gator fan base thought they were gonna win this game oh easy they they said Miami secondary was vulnerable which which was valid going into this game right but we beat him by 4117 24 points right what do you say about deari brown deari brown yeah I can't complain about the secondary Ross I can't complain as a unit as a whole I cannot complain about those guys Judas Richards right underclassman yeah when I see that a guy we weren't sure about at all yeah they could play at this level we weren't sure when I see such an underclassman secondary I tend to get nervous they locked it down tonight they locked it down yeah I have no complaints tremendous job everyone doubted them SEC Mike who has a 100K excuse me followers on social media burned they he said he had the Florida Gators lock he said Miami secondary was weak we we were going to have burn tonight he thought Florida was going to win he thought guess what SEC Mike Kane's by 24 kan's by 24 our boy showed up man when's the last time that we didn't expect our boys to show up but they showed up Paul it's been a minute Ross I mean we've been through hen back guys for you guys listening we've been through Helen back under Mario Middle Tennessee State Georgia Tech the blowout against Florida State I mean we've been through hell gentlemen we've been through hell PTSD is real under this fan base we've been through hell yes we go into this year saying hey I I have the canes going 9 and3 I have the canes going nine and three this year Ross I I see the game against Florida and I'm like [ __ ] I hope we win but F man we've home game speak that to existence 34 years without a loss and we come in there and we beat them by 24 I'll tell you something right now Ruben Bane is hitting me up on the DMS and he's pumped as hell he is pumped up as hell right now to beat the Florida Gators he's absolutely stoked dude absolutely stoked I love you know me and Ruben we we we we've talked since junior year high school you know to see him perform like this I mean dude to see his passion to see his love for the game it's awesome it's so freaking awesome man and to lead to a win it's so freaking awesome and um one thing one thing that should be mentioned is that we are the only team in the nation that has three what uh bnov members or or three bnov um preseason award Watchers we're we're the only team in the nation that has that right now there's no other team that has more than two players that are at the wide receiver po position that could get the bullet in a cough we have three right now we're the only team in the nation right now that should mean something to people it really should it really should it it it should show our recruiting prowess it should show our scouting prowess and it should show our personally and asked me if there's any way I could help him get the University of Miami offer and when he got the University of Miami offer it was two weeks and he committed in Florida I I do what I can I I I try to you know as be as peing as I can I try to lead kids in the direction I can to towards our college but you know what when when you give me two weeks and you decide you're going to go somewhere else and we beat you you know what Paul I don't feel bad I really don't I think DJ is gonna be a great quarterback at the University of Florida he is he he's gonna be no matter what he's going to put up stats he is going to absolutely he looked good he looked good during his time yeah right yeah he his time against the canes don't get me wrong he will put up stats he's just young he's very young but but Ross we we've been through I mean we've been grinding right you and me we've interviewed everyone we got over a hundred people joining us live and I hope people appreciate it like it can motivate the rest of the team to do their job and uh while the defensive side you know we got guys like Ma maoa and and guys like that you know can make individual special plays you know we still have guys like Bane on the outside depending you know on us on the outside we're cutting into the inside mesidor is still cutting into the inside um we don't have a strong strong inside I was hoping Molton was gonna have a little bit more bounce off his step this year I haven't seen it yet but it doesn't mean it's not going to happen it is I mean I watched it during his uh senior in high school so I mean I know it can happen it just it takes a minute to get weight adjusted to college play and I I think we have the guys who are going to I mean I I think our outside's pretty pretty solid honestly I think our outside is really really solid the inside I'm a little worried about um it's not that we need to develop the quickness and and the balance of the first step but we need to get that raw strength that raw power where you just push a nose tackle back you know what I'm saying where you or or a you know uh a no you know guard or anything like that you just push them straight backwards and that's where I think we're lacking a little bit I think in our defense when we start getting guys off of their blocks and we start bulling them I think that we are going to do so much more because we've got that Talent we've got that strength we've got that size we've got that athleticism we have it we do and I hope so Ross right I mean it's like a broken record right time and time
