THANKS SO MUCH. >> 100 PACK DOWNTOWN CHICAGO AND THE CITY'S LITTLE VILLAGE NEIGHBORHOOD AS MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATIONS CONTINUE COMES AFTER A NIGHT OF ROLLING STREET CLOSURES DOWNTOWN. JUDY IS JOINING US LIVE WITH THE DETAILS FOR GOOD MORNING, JUDY. >> JUDY WANG: GOOD MORNING. FOR THE SECOND STRAIGHT NIGHT, HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE CAME DOWNTOWN TO CELEBRATE AT FOR THE SECOND TIME, THE OFFICE OF EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT HAD TO IMPLEMENT STREET CLOSURES RESTRICT ACCESS TO DOWNTOWN THAT CAUSE. A LOT OF TRAFFIC BACKUPS EVEN ON EXPRESSWAYS, INCLUDING THE IKE. EMC, SENT OUT THE ALERT ABOUT STREET CLOSURES AT ABOUT 10 LAST NIGHT CITY PLOW SERVED AS BARRICADES ON MICHIGAN NEAR THE CTA REROUTED BUSES FROM ROOSEVELT TO WALKER. >> JUDY WANG: SOME EXPRESSWAY RAMPS WERE CLOSED. MANY REVELERS JUST DECIDE TO STOP ON THE EISENHOWER AND CELEBRATE THEIR THESE CARE ABOUT CELEBRATIONS HAVE CAUSED TRAFFIC JAMS THAT HAVE LASTED HOURS IN THE PAST, PROMPTING COMPLAINTS FROM DOWNTOWN RESIDENTS ABOUT THE MUSIC, THE CAR HORNS, THE REVVING OF AND CHUN'S AND FIREWORKS CONTINUING INTO THE WEE HOURS. COMMUNITY LEADERS HAD HOPED TO CURB THE CARAVANS BY BRINGING BACK A SANCTIONED DOWNTOWN EVENT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MORE THAN A DECADE PAST HISTORY DID NOT TOUCH OR SOME VISITORS FROM COMING TO CHICAGO FOR THE HOLIDAY. NO, NO, I DIDN'T. >> CARE FOR SO I CAN CELEBRATE AND HOPEFULLY TO GET PEOPLE IF I SEE HAPPEN ALL BACK AWAY, TRYING NOT GET MYSELF INTO IT. SO. IT DOESN'T WORRY ME AS LONG AS I'M A SITUATION LIKE IT. >> JUDY WANG: A CHICAGO POLICE SPOKESPERSON TOLD US THIS MORNING THAT THE DEPARTMENT DOES NOT YET HAVE ANY NUMBERS IN TERMS HOW MANY ARRESTS WERE MADE BECAUSE OF THE CELEBRATIONS OVER THE WEEKEND. THOSE NUMBERS COULD COME MONDAY MORNING. THE PARADE KICKS OFF THE MEXICAN INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE KICKS AT NOON IN LITTLE VILLAGE. AMC COULD RESTRICT ACCESS TO THAT NEIGHBORHOOD AS WELL. AT SOME
