postseason coverage of baseball on the show I'm joined by Mark D Roa Dan plesac and Danny an important ball game coming up here in game two yeah this is just a five game series so getting that first wind under you is great the most important game of a series though is the next one you're about to play so treating this game like it's absolutely critical is a good way not to get too comfortable with your lead all right the stage is set the starters get their final tosses in out in the bullpen and we've got a good one in store for you folks playby play is coming up next Lance mccullar will be on the bump for game two of the series Dan Pac what's the word on him hey Matt Lance mullers might have the best right-handed break as well it's 0 and two now you could really tell they're trying to keep the ball in on this big Slugger right here is that an effort to keep him from getting extended do you think yeah I think that's the idea Matt but he might spin the win if he starts looking for it third and the run is in to score from third it's now a 3 to one just in the third in yeah their ears were open on both sides during the pitchers meeting today good plan at the plate a lot of execution from the offensive side on both sides catches made here in right and here comes the runner from third and they'll get a step closer it's a sack fly to make it a three to2 game [Applause] number 30 Cesar Hernandez popped into foul ground his last time up now he turns and smokes this one into deep center field catches made Runner tagging from third and not in time as the Run scores now back to game The Hitter he's up there probably thinking of protecting on two and two but when you launch a ball that high out of the strike zone it's obviously easy to take that one one run is [Applause] scored yeah he scored where this thing up beautifully and blasted through the Gap all the way to the wall and the only question that remained was whether two or three runs were going to score they held the runner a third but that's a timely two-run double at the plate yordon Alvarez as he'll take a look at ball one he's got one hit in four at [Applause] bats popped him up grandal is there and he puts it away to stop the bleeding frustration boiling over with an opportunity missed game two coverage rolls on after [Music] this first pitch of the ab now grounder down the line at third oh what a stop on the slide in time with two [Applause] away last strike now for Houston and he struck him out for outout number three so that'll wrap things up here as they leave the possible tying run stranded at first yeah he does surrender one run so it wasn't a Flawless performance but this game you don't have to be perfect you just have to be good enough to win and he was [Music] 9 to7 the final score in this ball game the Chicago White Socks earn the win and move on to 2 and0 in the division series Lance Lynn takes home the win Lance mccullar allowed seven earned runs to cross the
