What Can We Expect From the Seattle Seahawks Game One?

8:48 on Seattle's Morning News Now joining us from the G and Ursula show which you can hear from night to noon right here on Cairo News Radio G Scott and gee this topic today has me thinking thinking of sixth grade popcorn ceiling above in my bedroom and on the wall a banner you know what the banner read what did it read Bronco Busters Seahawks beating the Broncos of of course that was the throwback jersey at the time we would just call it a Jersey back then but now we have the Seahawks taking on the Broncos home opener wearing the the Throwbacks this is exciting we're here this is definitely exciting but the difference between you and sixth grade in today is there is an expectation that the Seahawks beat up on the Broncos right it's not the same Broncos and it's for sure not the same Seahawks well here's what's happening Shawn pyton is coming over with the Denver Broncos they have a new rookie quarterback in BO Knicks out of the University of Oregon and of course you have a new head coach and Mike McDonald but however even though there's a new head coach and there's a new era it is the same expectations among Seahawk fans and what is that to win the Super Bowl baby that's what it is to win a Super Bowl now here's what's interesting about this matchup this is a Denver Bronco team that has really how can I say really gave love to Seattle and what do I mean by that so check this out you guys remember that trade that happened with Russell Wilson and Russell Wilson goes up to the Denver Broncos well check this out of the nine Associated players who became Seahawks out of that blockbuster trade we got players the Seahawks got draft picks six of those still remain on the 53 man roster if you guys like Devon Witherspoon thank the Broncos if you like Charles cross thank the Broncos if you like Boyer MAF thank the bronos if you like no off you guys get where I'm going it's like being in a relationship and you marry your wife and you want to say to her ex-husband thank you thank you for giving me my wife thank you for messing up that's where you look at the Broncos like that so this Sunday home opener it's own like mattye Stone it is going to be a fantastic time if you're going to be there don't don't uh meet me there beat me there at Lumen field okay so uh a lot of things to unpack here let's start with Mike McDonald what kind of pressure is he facing as the new head coach this kid is 10 years younger than us by the way G yeah um he is the youngest NFL football coach right now in the league pressure I think he is living the Ultimate Dream this is his uh ideal situation he has the talent he has everything in place both offense defense he has a fan base that's used to winning a fan B like is he facing pressure I think pressure would be hey buddy you're now coach of the New York Giants today or you're now coach of the Cleveland Browns some of those organizations are kind of struggling this Seahawks organization is kind of cool it's like taking over uh a business that is in that's actually uh in the black now for those of us who were watching the huskys last year we saw B Nick twice as we played Oregon he's moving to the next level what kind of pressure is he facing B Nick you're always facing some pressure as a rookie quarterback you're coming into Lumen field you're coming to play in one of excuse me the loudest stadium in football it's going to be tough for Bo Knicks considering you got a uh experience dine that D line for the Seahawks is playing very well and then you also have a bunch of Denver Broncos fans that are really you know they hurting right now you know they thought Russell Wilson was going to be a savior Russell Wilson is in Pittsburgh right now so then they're saying bo bo help us help us Bo and and Bo's gonna say I'm gonna do my best but you do realize I'm going to Lumen field and then when it gets to Lumen field and all the Lumen field all the TW are GNA be like I you know I get way too animated for this stuff but it I just want to say it is football season and considering what we have have been going through lately with the Mariners it's like it's like you ever just go through a breakup Charlie and you go through that breakup and your boy Sully and David burbeck come and pick you up and like bro let's let's just go out let's go get our mind off things I go clubbing with Sully when when I go through a break usually yeah I yep I can can I can I just say this I I wish that you guys were miked up and on camera the two of you going out together Sully and Charlie two wild and crazy guys Su what what are you doing bro what you night at the rockberry all right G Scott coming up on the G and nursa show thank you g are you are you are you would you wear shorts out no no then I go with my hammer pants and my High Top Turf shoes unlaced if Jin Z is listening they have you think they they've turned off the radio oh yeah yeah long time ago what0 and early 90s were like they have no idea what they missed
