SPOILERS: We Chat With The Amazing Race Canada Season 10 Winners | Your Morning

everybody stop what you're doing right now consider this your official spoiler alert it all came down to this in the season finale of The Amazing Race Canada we're [Music] [Applause] cominging Taylor mcferson and Katie M crossing the Finish Line first to Win It All season 10 of The Amazing Race Canada the second all female team to win in their Hometown right in their Hometown oh guess who's on the I'm like turning to you already I haven't even introduced you firstly H Taylor and Katie congratulations what does this moment feel like to be able to tell the world yes it was us so weight off our shoulders it feels great for our friends family everybody to know it's the biggest secret we've been keeping and now it's out there for Canada there and I want to ask you about that moment okay so you're coming down and everybody else is lined up cheering you on take us back to the feeling of that how are you feeling I still have Goosebumps like watching that clip every single time it we were just ready to step on that mat and we still you know stepping on that mat we didn't know we were first we were in complete and utter shock so H just emotions all over the place there it's such a great moment what was the toughest part of the race for you Katie what would you say I would say it's just honestly it's the mental toll of the entire race there's so much going on you know there's a lot of things at play and everything you know you you want that prize you want to be there on that last mat and it takes a lot of mental and physical strength to be there because we knew you had the physical strength yeah obviously we knew that um it was sort of the other stuff that was the wild card for you so how did you know that your partnership was going to work because often we play this game and ask the question on this show okay if you were to be on Amazing Race Canada who would you pick and why how did you know that this was going to work I think the thing for us is you know we know we balance each other out I'm hot she's cold she brings me down when I need to come down I bring her up if she needs to be brought up and we know how our relationship has been over the last few years and so just we knew we would work perfectly together and we knew we could spend long amounts of time together and not get you know we might get frustrated with one another but a lot of times even on the show we're have to remind you know what we're not mad or frustrated at with each other we're frustrated with the situation we're frustrated with the task at hand you know so I just felt like our communication was on point throughout the race and we really leaned on each other support throughout the whole show and it came to and you won prove you won we won we did it so you really did do it what was what was the reaction from some of the other teams oh my God a lot of like all of them were so proud of us I think happy to see that we came across the finish line and you know overall it was just it was such a crazy experience absolutely so many memories that you're going to take throughout your entire life I know is it wild Taylor you said that before you won that you were going uh to use the prize money to start a nonprofit to bring Sports indigenous to indigenous communities so what's the plan I mean obviously like that is the goal and the plan so we'll see where it goes um yeah I really want to make sure that our communities are engaged in sport and Recreation um and that we see more of our youth out there competing at higher level Sports um and so hopefully that's kind of what I can Kickstart this next year or so the next chapter you honestly I haven't even had time like I feel like with all of this coming out today it's just been so overwhelming um but definitely it's a Kickstart to this next chapter in life and I'm just excited to see where it goes yeah we are too to excited to see where it goes for both of you somebody's watching right now and they go you know what could I do this like could I do what would you say to them the Amazing Race Canada is anybody's game it is it is anybody's game you can do it just put your authentic selves out there um find the right partner and you can do it you can do it um when do you eat on the show cuz I like I'm always like when do they eat CU you guys are go go go all the time whenever you have the chance if there's ever a moment where you know there's a honestly break is there's not really breakes but you know if you have a moment shove a granola bar in your mouth whatever you can do you know to get fuel but a lot of times it's adrenaline that's keeping your going yeah and how much sleep would you get a night would you say on average uh really clearly clearly enough because you were energized and won the
