You NEED Spencer Rattler | 2024 Fantasy Football

we're wrapping a preseason and there's a lot of backups making plays that a lot of you guys are interested in that you don't really need for fantasy football but you might need a few months down the line if something happens to the starter Spencer Rattler made some plays today in his preseason game and a lot of people are talking him up on Twitter and catching a lot of questions about him we're going to do a quick Deep dive on him right now but before we do you need to click that subscribe button cuz we're doing these Deep D every day on these players to see whether or not you need them for Fantasy Football now or in the future or at least you know a little bit something about him we'll do it in season as well we'll do the waiver wire and we'll help you set your lineups click that button stop missing out but he went off today completing seven of 13 passes 105 yards and one touchdown but the big story was the ball placement how comfortable he looked and him getting the ball downfield and everybody was excited about that but Derek car still there Derek Carr is still the man for the Saints and he is going to be the guy for them until he's not the guy and this isn't a story about Rattler stealing his job this is just a deep dive on Spencer Rattler and his potential range of alchs of what could happen this season and going forward for all formats for fantasy football but going back to his high school days as a recruit five-star Prospect locked in with Oklahoma top tier quarter pack that was on the radar of everybody once he emerged in the college scene his first season with Oklahoma red shirt year behind Jaylen Herz the next year went off once he got his opportunity with 28 touchdowns and just seven interceptions but in 2021 he just went off the rails and just things did not look good and then next thing you know Caleb Williams steps in takes over the next year he transfers to South Carolina looks good at South Carolina and starts to regroup and then regroup himself back to being draft eligible because during that time at Oklahoma where his faltering in the start at South Carolina he did not look like a draftable quarterback a lot of people were questioning him a lot of people had concerns so he's a quarterback that just fell all the way to the bottom and worked his way back up to this point if anything during training camp he was an Underdog Story to pay attention to and then ALS so he had some big moments against some good teams over the course of his career from Tennessee to Florida Clemson Oklahoma State and he was able to do it in the SEC and the Big 12 but what you want to pay attention to is where he places the football and he does it right over the Middle with accuracy the one thing about his game going back to looking at what he did in college is not whether or not he's got the arm whether or not he's got the Charisma the patience in the pocket the feel of the game the ability to have the patience for that wide receiver to get open it's the consistency because he can do just about anything he has starter level talent and he has starter level potential for the NFL he places the ball over the Middle with accuracy but it's game to game week to week playto playay just keeping it consistent from what we've seen from over the years but he has the potential to do everything on the field like this ball placement we just saw a few hours ago in today's game and this one for the touchdown Spencer Rattler getting it done but fell to the fifth round but it was a rocky career he had to rebuild himself back up he wasn't draftable a few years ago he was a prospect that you kind of forgot about but you kept your eye on because you didn't know it was going to happen the fact that he was at the top fell to the B him and able to climb his way back up to this point to where you're kind of excited for him to be a backup quarterback for the Saints looks like he's going to beat out Jake Hanner for that qb2 job we got to wait out for the final depth chart but He's got potential to do that because he's been looking good in training camp also mini camp OTAs and RI Camp we've been looking at the clips on that but the arm Talent is there and we're looking at Derek Carr wasn't too horrible last year when you're looking at 68% completion percentage 28 touchdowns eight interceptions we wasn't overly productive though it's not like we were pushing 5,000 yards he is signed through 2026 he does have a few more years on his contract but Derek Carr if things go off the rails or if he gets hurt everybody's going to be looking at Spencer Rattler he has no ADP right now you don't need him in basic fantasy leagues you don't need him in basic 2qb leagues and redraft in Dynasty 2qb once you ear rookie drafts third round fourth round once you start get ick at wide receiver running back he was there he was there a lot of times in the third round he was the play to make he was the guy to get because you know if he stepped on the field you could get your return on investment right there via trade if anything this is more of a dynasty video but watch for him in season pay attention you do not need to draft him right now this isn't the video for that but this is the video that you need to pay attention to Spencer Rattler you need to pay attention to the Saints passing game you need to watch as a lot of people are negative towards the Saints passing game now prior during the off season a lot of people were talking about that now Spencer Rattler's here giving people Hope on social media that we're seeing you got to pay attention to that because if he goes off you're going to fight for him off the waiver wire traditional one QB fantasy leagues even if he's a starter you're still going to watch from afar but he's got some upside this is an offense that likes to get vertical that wants to push it down field could be a fun play to watch but Spencer Rattler is making moves right now and making some noise let
