we was like who cares do we really need that and then I see what everybody else is making I'm like yeah we probably yeah we really do need that we should definitely uh move it over there um I think that would be a good idea yeah there you go the audience says so as well uh keep an eye on my lower lip here I'm going to see if it's going to start swelling as the show goes on because right before the show I told you my baby beat me up Kid getting Croup, starting school yes oh it is not the worst excuse I ever thought up all right Jordan you didn't have to go that far but yes so uh before I was heading over to the studio to get everything uh set up and ready uh the kid decides to uh do a flying tackle and shoulder goes right into my mouth hitting my lip right into my uh the edge of my teeth so the bleeding I think is done yeah but we'll see if this thing swells up look this is the risk you run by jacking her full of steroids and letting her loose around the house man like this is this is your fault look I didn't want to but apparently kids get sick all the time now is the thing I'm learning and there's something called Troop that I was not aware of and uh the kid came down with that and it's always nice when the doctor says well I don't know if this is still contagious but we're going to error on the error on the side of caution and I went oh so I could have been subject to this and she goes how long has she had this I'm like a few days I thought it would go away so yeah she could have been a virus spreader for all I know contagious patient zero right they gave the steroid to them at the uh at the doctor's office now it's a 5-day steroid that's fine but it takes about five days for it to leave their system oh yeah and this kid has been hulking it up around the house running like at one point I'm I'm talking to her and she's shaking and grinding her teeth I'm like what's happening the kid doesn't shut up the kid's running around like I can't get get them bed I can't get any of this stuff done it's been it's been a to-do I was supposed to go to a party on a Sunday but the doctor's appointment was Saturday afternoon cuz they were squeezing uh Us in there to to take a look at her and I was like you know what if the doctor's not fully sure if she's contagious right now I'm not going to go to a party where I felt fine I have not had anything but I don't know what croo is other than it sounds like there's fluid in her chest when she's coughing and uh I don't know if that spreads to other people if it's a kid thing if adults do get it I don't know so I just said you know what I'm just going to scrap all my plans and and didn't go anywhere for the last few days because what do I know yeah it's a uh respiratory illness it's kind of like usually in like the trachea Linx area right and um yeah basically I if it's left uned it could develop what's called like a barking cough okay so it's just like this lingering cough it's kind of like what I'm dealing with right now it's like because I have an upper respiratory infection whatever I had last week yeah okay your daughter hang out we contagious but um but yeah it's just it's one of those things I know just we'll cut this out in post yes please let let's move on from that that's weird but yeah so I my kids never got it so I don't know how usually that's treated my biggest issue I don't know how this kidp throat and stuff like that I don't know she could been like when she's being attended to do they go out a lot like visit various Parks yeah par swim lessons there's a music class there was a lot of stuff for the summer which just ended and uh oh I got to deal with school next week school's coming y first time first day of anything to do with school so I'm figuring that out I love I love the emails I love um essentially it's almost I think I could apply for a uh a gun permit easier than trying to register a kid for school because it is a mass did all of this stuff then I had to have um submit IDs and photos of of you know the parents who was going to have authorization to pick up the kid and uh um emergency contacts on stuff so I I mean look I'm not any kind of medications they might be on uh you know authorization to administer things as simple as Tylenol or you know even like children's apparently they can't from what I understand uh they or or maybe if that you have permission may I got to go reread there's like a packet full of stuff right and I I found that interesting too that look I'm just going to say this now it's not back when we went to school it was better because it wasn't it was it was just no nobody checked on anything right you didn't feel good you could go you know I'm going to go to the nurse and then you you know one of the heaters in the hallway you just put your face up next to it for a little bit you go in there and you know there was plenty of ways back in the day to fake a temperature with a thermometer or whatever you were going to do right now not so much but um yeah there was authorization they can't even give you basic stuff like if I got a headache can I get some Tylenol or Ibuprofen or or anything like that nothing cough drops even nothing without without permission so yeah had to fill all that stuff up had to hand in IDs and photos and and all these things and it's almost like you're filling the way you're putting it together it's almost like making one of those organizational crime boards right you know it's like this person connect to this person to this to that like all it's like wow this is so not what I expected for a kid going to school so right um uh somebody had uh in my family wrote and like oh now you're going to have to do the Blackboard for the first day of school and I said no we're not that's not happening I've I've hated it since the Inception or what how I don't know when it became a thing I get it you want to mug shot your kids to show their their age progression over time there's other ways to do that I'm not putting and I saw them at different stores that were doing back to school sales they have the preet blackboards with all the different things to fill in and I saw the ones that I think are the most I hate the term problematic but the ones that cause the biggest problems it said I go to this school my teacher is this I am in this grade it's like that's too much information to to put up publicly and people just willy-nilly put their kids information up there so it's like all right now I know the kids elementary school or Junior High I know what class they're in I know what time they go I it's like why do why everyone loves putting their [ __ ] out there thinking it's no big deal and then you get looked at as like well what what's wrong with you you keep hiding everything or you keep um uh everything like close to the chest you're not revealing a lot of this stuff if it's not that big a deal why don't you share it because it's not that big a deal why are you posting it you know look at the other side of it if you don't think it's that big a deal why why are you posting I think it's a big deal so I'm not going to do that other people do anyway I saw those blackboards at Target and another store and I just went somebody's paying 12 bucks for this stupid thing not doing it what were you going to say I don't think I was gonna say anything oh okay yeah no I I mean to a point I agree I'm one of those idiots that do the Blackboard I have straight away from posting them I just mainly keep it for me is like you said like that progression to see where they were at that point I have gone away from posting a lot of things on social media and mainly it's just because I don't use Facebook anymore and and I I'm in group chats with family members now where I don't use Facebook the way I used to to include them on their lives now I just send them texts you know it's like so there's really no need for that aspect of my social media anymore no um so I'm not doing the Blackboard thing I filled everything out I have to go to an open house thing the day before to meet the and you don't have just teachers anymore you have power Professionals in the classroom as well which I don't know what that is I'm guessing teacher yeah or paralal they're sitting there and you have to you know fill out triplicate in order to send and pick up your child they're doing all the work that the teacher should be doing the teacher gets all the credit sitting on just having smoke breaks if I learned anything from The Simpsons they're just always outside having smoke breaks um so yeah I don't know what the power professionals are I'm guessing teachers assistant teachers AIDS what have you but all the classrooms have them now so okay that's fine um what else do we have going on there oh then then there's um not so much a supply list yet I'm I'm sure that'll be somewhere down the line but you got to fill out poster boards and all these other things to introduce your child to the class and to all these things and and then there's packets that are talking about um um what is it called diversity uh I got to look it up right now it is I know that when we did it um the boy we had to create a folder for the classroom and because they don't they don't need to really transport a whole lot they they have a folder that they bring home so like the teacher would put all the things that have been graded you take it out at the end of the day and then you get their homework for the week yesterday I did parent teacher conferences already that's how long my kids been in school versus when yours is starting your school difference between when we start yeah so I already have my first parent teacher conference already diversity poster boards so you got to put in there where it um I I guess it's it's an interesting way for everybody to learn about each other but you got to put it up there and this is what's weird so it says please include uh your father's social security number any cultural food items your child enjoys your country's Flags special holidays that you celebrate or any other items you'd like to add that represents you and your family and your child's interests and culture and I just just like wow remember when you just like do they know the Pledge of Allegiance or My Country Tis of Thee Well it's weird because they're requiring all that for essentially preschool I don't remember ever having that level of involvement even through kindergarten it wasn't until like later on where you started to kind of we got to get to know each student with all these facts and things like that you know you went to kindergarten you just went to kindergarten yeah you know when she's you know going into not even real like the regular spectrum of school it's the pre you know part of it so it's just it does seem kind of weird that that's a lot of it is an all day thing extra preps type thing so so that's great gets her out of the house she's gone for most of the day other than that I got to that or get a job I got to start taking a kid to school and I got to wait in line um parent pickups well I can't do the drop off and pick off like like apparently there's parts of a parking lot where they line up and you check in as you get into the parking lot there's somebody with like iPads and stuff that they make sure that you're authorized whatever and you wait online for your kids to come out and then you can leave and what have you but because they're under a certain age you can't just sit there in the car when they'll come running out to you whatever you have to park you have to go walk them in check in and same thing for picking up so this is going to be a new interesting chapter of my life trying to figure out all of this stuff um yeah so that's coming up I'm going to I'm going to be uh dealing with a kid in school yeah it's a weird feeling that is a weird feeling I literally hate every parent that I have to engage in in with in parent pickup because everyone's no one knows how to drive and they're all stupid and every time the kid gets in the car I go do you know that kid getting into that car and then it's like if I get a yes or a no it's like well no I was like good because their parents a bunch of [ __ ] like I'm just soad okay well tell pull on tell them make sure you explain this to them because we are going to ram them we're going to t-bone them as they leave the parking lot because uh he did not use his Brinker his blinker properly yeah there's one parent in there that runs around in a one of those cyber trucks I'm like Who Who Are You impressing you're picking up your second grader get out of here yeah that's [ __ ] so um anyway enough of that nonsense um how are you doing Jordan's "Escape Room' work event what's going on with you good um your car all fixed car's all fixed um thankfully a lot of it was covered under warranty um I originally leased my car and then when it lease was up I just bought it outright was enjoying the car itself and stuff like that but it smart enough to put a warranty on the car to add for extra mileage and thankfully I was under that mileage so um they replaced all the stuff that was leaking as far as um antifreeze and stuff like that was causing the the temperature to rise um there was a leak with like the oil pan or something they replaced that they did a full flush I mean I I I got away with like $2,000 wor a repair for like 300 bucks and most of that was just um the the the coolant flush and stuff like that and timing as well yeah thankfully it happened the week well and thankfully it happened a week after I was out there visiting in San Diego because i' I've never been in a situation I've been away from my home and had these things happen like flat tires and things like that so like I don't know for how much of a panic mode I would have gone into knowing that a maybe I didn't have the money to make that repair was it covered under um where do I get it towed at I mean I've got triaa thankfully I can get it towed but you know after a certain mileage you start to pay and I'm like I'm just very happy it happened when I was here so got it taken care of that's all done um had to do some traveling this past Tuesday down a Tucson for work which was interesting because I work from home mainly so I had to go in and like meet people for the first time which is fine I guess like it's it's nice to put you know real faces to names and and you know stuff like that it's just weird being in an office and working with people because I feel like I never get anything done because there's just too much distraction like there's people talking everyone's laughing you hear noises you're not used to and I'm just I didn't have that Comfort level of being at my own space MH so I got almost just nothing done when I went down there like work-wise um otherwise it was a good like way to socialize with co-workers we did an escape room after work to kind of meet some of the people I know it was weird I've never done that terrible it was one of those like we're part of the I just got uh a promotion so I'm part of the management team now and so it was like a get know everybody shaking the room we got to see Escape the Room um so yeah I did that fun games to play online there's computer uh not computer game geez how old am I video game versions of the Escape the Room there's several different ones on Steam that are fun to play I don't know if I'd want to go there with it's weird because it's like you're doing the same stuff and you're trying to solve puzzles but it's kind of gross like you're touching things a thousand other people you don't know you start building up resentments and small hostilities to people you work with right and like I know know you're my boss but Jesus Christ solve a puzzle or something this is a team building exercise are we getting paid for our time here this is not recreational in any way shape or oh I didn't clock out yeah of course you didn't I stay clocked in from like 8:00 a.m. until like almost 900 p.m. when I left the factory drive going for pizza afterwards right no I stay clocked in through dinner and then uh yeah I was just um I uh been doing that and just been kind of doing work stuff I've been uh last night I just needed to kind of decompress and I just sat there I threw on Lord of the Rings The Two Towers extended edition and I started building my uh wait you were depressed set no decompressed like just I've been dealing with a lot of writing down the notes about what you just did and I I thought you said depressed I would have been depressed too if I came I was so depressed watch Lord of the Rings my next question was going to be how did Lord of the Rings cheer you up because that's a series of depressions oh it was fun yeah no so I threw that on and I just started building my really expensive Lego set and just kind of zoned out a bit and did that so I've been trying to kick this cold like it's just been sitting on my chest so our pal Gabby's in the chat uh she got a new job too and she's going to Chicago by the end of SE is your job Chicago are you moving to the United States that's fantastic she wants to try the atomic cake and famous lemon bars what's the atomic cake I don't know but I hope she describes that I want to actually say thank you both Eric and I saw you I posted a a nice group photo with you and your friends the other day I believe on Instagram and Gabby was sporting a a very lovely it's Eric Nagel t-shirt I'm like that's that was very nice of her the old one so very very cool do you know I had a company reach out to me about a month before the 10th anniversary saying that they would like to set up a store and everything could be order on demand and all that stuff with the and I said okay great I know I designed a shirt for it and I went to go get everything set up and I thought it was done and they said well you haven't finished setting up the thing I go yeah I did and I they said oh no no you set this up here but you got to load up the images and stuff and then we'll start promoting it what and I go okay well we're not ready to do that yet um but I set up the store and then I started to realize the PE the people that reach out to you to set up these things are not really the tech creative people of the company they're the sales sales the fact that I didn't get it up to the certain level I guess they don't get a commission or whatever because I didn't do it yet um I still have the person's information I will circle around back and get that done but you know everything else happened in the last two months so I didn't have a chance um now I have a lot of time so I can go and do all that and I I'll get the store set up so this way we can get all the merchandise stuff up there I don't know who wants it but look if we can set it up and people want to buy it who am I to say anything different here right uh I'm looking up atomic cake but um she also said Gabby in the chat I am not moving to the United States yet yet so that's good atomic cake let's take a look at this here yeah see I was supposed to be in Chicago like two weeks ago and we never ended up going I kind of regret not going but I'm also not missing the the humidity portion of that stuff so I wasn't too bummed out about it okay Tom cake is legendary it is by far one of the most popular cakes and for good reason three layers of cake banana yellow cake and chocolate cake are separated by layers of fresh strawberries bananas with custard and a heaping topping of our Rich fudge finished with our real whipped cream icing this cake is like no other that's a lot it doesn't sound terrible but that is a lot to deal with I mean what's not to like custard good Jam good meat Jam good yeah see if I can find a large enough photo to bring it up here but I've never it looks good you know I did I was in Chicago two years ago I had no idea about this if this was a thing I would have went and go and try out these are all make their no I don't want to see this all right well go look it up yourself atomic cake in Chicago apparently it's a thing so um if you do go when you do go Gabby photos are always appreciated appreciate it take photos of that cake and send it over and uh that shall be fine here um all right we've got a bunch stuff to get to we got a lot of stuff to talk about um this is the hundred million doll podcast episode which we'll get into that in just a moment about what all that means um do you know who Sid WWE/WCW Sid Justice/Vicious Death Justice is or you may know him as Sid Vicious I or you may know him as psycho Sid I knew him mainly as Sid back in the WCW days when I would watch WCW I knew him as s Justice from the early 9s WWE days uh and then when he came back he was psychoid um uh if you don't aware of anything we're talking about professional wrestler he just recently passed away from cancer I don't know which kind or or what exactly happened the details were not very plentiful online involving that other than um I guess his last name is yudi e UD d y yeah Sid yudy Mr yudi passed away at the age of 63 from cancer which is very sad that's one of the worst ways to go you know it it's so weird that cancer is like the worst way to go but then there's different divisions of cancer that are even worse than the entire embodiment of just having cancer like pancreatic cancer is like I think the worst yeah out of all what I hear because if you're detected then there's nothing you can do like there's no yeah I mean at that point you're just make your life comfortable until the time comes you can last months you can last years but yeah it's that's a rough way to do I know like colon cancer used to be like the big scare especially in men that has kind of gone away with early detection you can kind of get around that stuff right um skin cancer is a big one um I've had it twice so whenever I want sympathy I play up the the cancer yeah why why you hogging all the cancer Jordan um but uh yeah Collectibles yeah exactly I've got the new one um so he passed away now he has been in wrestling for a long time he doesn't really have many like tent pole moments in his career some could say oh you know he's headlined WrestleMania he's had right the uh WWF Championship twice he had a the WCW Championship a few times maybe I think he had a better run in WCW than he did with WWE yeah um but the thing he's most known for do you know which particular match this is no all right well if you're not aware it was a match That Happened One Night Live on Monday Night Nitro and I'll show you here this is what Sid Vicious Justice psychoid is most known for in his career here o oh [ __ ] you see it oh oh God if you so we're watching the clip of he he jumps off the top rope I'm I'm guessing that's Scott Steiner uh it looks like Steiner yeah small Steiner his right leg is up and and does like a flying kick to uh Steiner's chest which is knocking him down but he lands horribly on his left leg and it looks like he snapped his entire leg and you can see as he goes down here slowly look at the left leg ah like right at at Shin level like from like mid Shin down his his leg leg lower extremity is just hanging in a in a position that should not go oh yeah so oh what a shot that is a shot yeah that is Steiner by the way boom look look how oh god look how it fall right see you can in right here the left leg's about to land right look at how it just rolls up under the rest of his leg oh yeah it just snaps it like it it bends in half oh that is that is unfortunate yeah it was one of the worst things you've seen in professional wrestling there are fall down from the rafters well I wasn't going to say that I was trying to be koi but yes don't be Owen but you never saw Owen fall at least live on the pay-per-view no cuzz right as cuz they had they were running it on a delay and it just cut to the dark portion of the arena for like 5 10 minutes and then then Jim Ross came on and started to explain what happened then like disne was that state side or was that like over was that like a Canadian like one I can't remember I don't remember exactly where it happened but I remember watching the pay-per-view when it happened and uh they were talking about you know what happened and he was rushed to the hospital whatever apparently they scrubbed down the ring yeah the best they could and moved on to the next match but even in the next match you're still seeing like a red stain was a stain yeah right off right like right near the edge I remember it was right by the ropes yeah and it just so um godp speed to S Justice vicious psycho Sid who uh passed away at the age of 63 very young by today's standards now considering yeah I mean to and especially to be uh cancer related versus like you know he was just addicted to drugs or things like that body issues because of the you know competitive nature of all that stuff like it's just crazy uh okay so it happened in Kansas City Pizza King uh in the chat here uh Owen died in Kansas City okay gotcha yeah could you imagine the outrage CU he was Canadian royalty the heart family oh yeah if he died on their territory like that I mean I I don't know it's like if a soldier dies overseas or if they die in their own Homeland like which is the more heroic and which is the more outrage I don't know okay I don't get it I don't know uh by the way so I never really drank these things but I was kind of sluggish today um Celsius these things okay yeah I've seen those I'm not a uh energy drink person I do the zoas because we had a thing going on with zoa for a while I still I think I have like two cases left yeah I don't drink them either um but Celsius um doesn't like kill you like the some of the others like C4 and monster and all the million other energy drinks as you're drinking a Monster right there I am uh so this was a new flavor called cos and the name's terrible Cosmic Vibe Kazakhstan sparkling fruit punch Edition that's weird yeah I I think the only one I've ever had of the Celsius I had a uh I think it was like a pineapple like a fruit P like a fruer one and then there was a peach one I tried I've had not too long ago I've had their they have an standard orange one a standard grape one they have some kind of peach one too that was really good I think it was like Peach and starf fruit mixed together something like was some weird concoction but uh now I'm going to try to find this for the consumer but apparently I think it's C4 you mentioned C4 they have a tie in with Welch's grape and they have an energy drink that tastes just like you're drinking Welch's grape juice and I'm like that that would would be amazing if that was the case cuzz oh you oh I don't do it as an adult but I remember drinking a lot of grape juice growing speak of which you know what else is out there that tastes like Welch's grape juice what Welch's grape juice you can just cut the middle man out with all that garbage and go right to Welch's grape juice I need my daily 300% of toine and all kinds of uh Plastics I like my microplastics but I will say the the Celsius fruit punch surprisingly not bad cuz sometimes you a fruit punch flavor and it's very Hit or Miss I want it just to taste like a like a Hawaiian Punch there shouldn't be any like most of those usually keep it pretty low especially if they want you to drink a bunch like as pre-workouts yeah no sugar yeah so you're probably looking at zero calorie or 100 calorie most of stick around what's the catch then what is what's in here that's uh probably GNA be okay so if it's like anything like this one it's probably going to be sucrose yeah like mine's arrol and uh yeah an arrol just goes through your body it's the same stuff I would isn't put on things isn't sucralose the same as like Splenda isn't it that I believe so or Truvia those sugar something like that yeah well anyway I was surprised I don't usually go for that stuff but the fruit punch was good so well done celsius if you're out there listen listening we can be bought so there you go let's move on to some other things like people D no we're not going to go I was going to say let's keep it light let's talk about B's head all right well you want to talk about no let's go into the stuff the whole point of this episode was uh it's TI Mak money here the hundred million doll episode I know that's why Chris came in here I'm trying to find his uh comment because he thought he was going to make a $100 million for coming in here I mean the only way we make a $100 million is by um you know super chats like we have right Mike leadford so um if you haven't been following within the last month there's 100m podcast deals been two $100 million deals made for podcasts the most recent one is what we're going to talk about here is Alex Cooper do you know who she is I've seen clips of some of her show she has a show called call her daddy which is extremely popular um before that about a month prior s all right first of all sirusxm made this deal for $125 million for Alex Cooper's show we'll get into that in a second a month prior they did a deal or maybe two months prior um for that this podcast called smartless are you familiar with that yeah is that the one with um Sean Hayes and Jason baitman andman and will Arnette yeah now they spent aund million to get the rights and everything for smartless which I don't know how they're going to make that money back because you bought it after the show peaked the show was building momentum I guess it started out out of something from the pandemic and which most of these did they did a whole thing where they had Biden Obama and Clinton on their show they were behind the scenes from that remember that charity fundraiser thing not charity fundraiser that fundraiser campaign fundraiser thing they did at Radio City Music Hall where they had all three on stage right well before that happened backstage they did their podcast with all three of them mm so you have three presidents two former one sitting on there you've peaked yeah so after that happened Sirius in their Infinite Wisdom comes around and offers them $100 million for distribution and rights to you know for ad sales and all those things right there it's like how are you topping that whether you agree with their politics or their positions are not how are you topping that the pope maybe at some point I mean they got a good list of guests that they have on here but it's no one it's no one as I would say interesting as those three at the same time because you know you've got the Lisa Kudos you've got your Nate barazi I mean these are people that have been on a thousand other shows they go on Conan they go on all the stuff like you're not going to hear you're not gonna hear anything as interesting as talking to three former presidents you're just not yeah so their show was interesting again it was the three of them that built something out of the pandemic then they started getting a lot of guests on and sometimes that can be hit or miss for a show when you start having a lot of guests where your show is basically just guests yeah and then when it's all celebrity guests there's nothing more boring than a show where all their episodes are just celebrity guests see the what happened to Mark maron's podcast Mark Maron his podcast was interesting because the guy was a mess you know emotionally physically substance whatever it was and when he would talk about his life and he would talk about things he was going through and his his uh idiosyncrasies and his concerns and his paranoia that that was fascinating and that was interesting and it's not a dance monkey dance type of thing it was something he was putting out willingly on his own and hearing those stories was great when his podcast what is it called what the [ __ ] WTF uh when his podcast started becoming oh today is such and such Day on on the WTF podcast I'm like it's all and look and he peaked too he had Obama on while Obama was sitting president and good for him not knocking that but after that like where do you go from there so you like and that's why his podcast never got as big and he's not getting the deals I remember he was very outspoken when Joe Rogan got that you know hundred million doll what set off the trend of hundred million doll podcast deals um he was not happy that he wasn't getting picked up to do anything like that and I kind of agree I think he should have gotten something like along those lines for the extensive catalog that he had and he's been doing it for years before podcasting really was as a mainstream term to use like you know he was on the Forefront of getting that kind of content out there right so yeah this week's smartt lless has Jared Leto which you know you know know you love Jared Leto which is hilarious because I just added that as a concert for Sunday so I'm gonna go see 30 seconds tomorrow thank you why put yourself through that nonsense I want to see AFI again so band that that uh Rob showed up for three days early no I think that was a different band but that was hilarious too yeah like they moved like the something else uh so anyway so yeah smartless got bought for $100 million and it's like if you listen to the show now it's obvious that two of the three actually do work and prep for it and then Shawn Hayes just shows up and has no idea half the time what's going on um but it's not what it once was yeah we come to Alex Cooper call her daddy her podcast started at bar stool it was uh her and this other um woman Sophia with an F was her name and they had a show at bar stool for a while was very successful from what I understand Sophia's boyfriend started making deals with like HBO and other places that were not including bar stool and pornoy and his staff were like this goes against our agreement to here you can't go and do that the show wound up breaking up um or they like just stopped doing it as all this legal [ __ ] was going on yeah they released their last episode I think like two 2020 and Alex was saying like I you know Alex I guess either didn't know or just backed out of the whole thing and she said yeah I had nothing to do with these other deals that they were making so wound up um leaving that deal fell apart with bar stool and I think Alex just gave so I think por just gave Alex her stuff to let her go whatever the deal they worked out and so she took it with her was doing call her daddy was getting really successful that uh Spotify came around and spent $60 million on her podcast for I think two years her back in like 21 yeah her podcast contract ends this year she's not renewing with them because Sirius swooped in for 125 million to bring her over there now while we were um we're going to sort this out other news broke of another hundred million deal so I'm going to tell you this and then I'm going to bring we're going to go back to Alex because I'm going to read the breakdown for it Amazon then announces that they spent $100 million for the podcast done by Travis and Jason Kelce so they had this podcast before he started dating Taylor Swift oh yeah and before um I think before the Super Bowl stuff even oh yeah they been doing it for like a year or two right yeah and so this was getting a lot of attention especially when Travis started dating Taylor Swift really started upping their uh their stature in the so that uh Amazon paid them $100 million for the next couple years for the rights to their podcast with um I I think Amazon owns wry is the podcast Network that they're going under so that just means they get distribution rights and AD sale rights so they get to place ads on all their stuff and and what have you so that's let's see one two three four that's like the fifth $100 million deal that's happened in the last couple years for podcasts now one I didn't mention that's in there is Conan O'Brien and that was about like a year or two ago sirusxm paid him $150 million for everything Team Coco podcast division y so all the audio which is Conan and then any of the other um smaller podcasts that are on Conan's Team Coco net roster if you will um or all under Sirius right now licensed not owned to be distributed through Sirius ad sales Place whatever but I think that deal is that they get to broadcast them on a serious Channel or something yeah I think they have like a Team Coco Channel on the actual satellite and then a week later they go out to public release to um RSS feeds to like Spotify Apple what have you yeah but then Conan made another deal for their video stuff and I think with YouTube and they put the video versions out the same time that Sirius has the exclusive audio so you you don't get your audio till a week later but you get to watch the video on YouTube tube in those places at the same time so it's like Conan double dipped and good on him I'm not knocking Conan at all very [ __ ] smart on him and um uh his business partner um I can't thinkon Blair Jeff Ross or something yeah I think it's I think it's Jeff Ross that that runs all the stuff there it's smart for them to do this and double dipped and and making tons of money and and again good on they they essentially did the South Park Trey Parker or mat Stone bit where they're like we're going to let everybody get a piece of South Park and then you guys can fight amongst yourselves on you know who's got real rights and they just walk away with billions um Conan did it right you know like he's he's doing stuff like he's got um rights with HBO he just did have that travel show which you know he's getting paid to do he's got the you know the distribution rights like you said going to sirius uh for their own channel um because I think he was with Earwolf for the start of Conan yeah no he was always by himself I thought he was with I thought Earwolf was pulling it out like pushing it out maybe all right maybe it was because Earwolf got bought by Sirius and absorbed into them and Earwolf doesn't exist anymore I think Earwolf and Stitcher all got absorbed by uh SiriusXM okay and they're not doing well by the way um so anyway so yeah so the Kelsey Brothers $100 million deal with Amazon we go back to Alex Cooper here so I'm trying to figure this out five 10000 million plus we'll say deals in the last couple years maybe three years trying to remember when Rogan's thing was um but that's unheard of and this is starting a trend it looks like because a $100 million seems to be the the um number the trendy number now for corporations toer buying these shows and Licensing and doing whatever so I'm thinking about it and I I was like this reminded me of uh like the late 90s early 2000s with the.com bubble people were getting all these this Venture Capital to go and start a dotom and build things up and like the concept's great and then everything was overvalued but then they'd spend all their money to build all these things or they were they' build it and then spent the rest of the money jet setting Yachts you know premieres all this kind of nonsense and what happened it all exploded or imploded however you want to call it and all the values dropped the only two companies that out of that Doom bubble that I remember that did well were eBay and Amazon yeah remember mp3.com was supposed to be the big thing because Napster was out there and lime wire and Kaza like oh if we just do mp3.com and make it the One-Stop shop to get all your music and everything we'll make a billion dollars and it didn't happen because lo and behold iTunes was born mhm shortly after that and we saw how that worked out for the music industry so this whole thing now seems like like this is got they can't be making their money from this investment now the ones I do know that probably are is because Rogan's deal was up and he just resigned now he didn't resign I don't think for another 100 million I think it was a little bit less but that's not a knock at Joe and that's not saying he's underperforming that's that they their estimates were one thing and the marketplace determined they were another but he was still valuable enough I think he went from 100 million to like 80 million significant amount of money yes but in the whole scheme of things not really that much um but that's the only one we've seen so far they renewed him so obviously he was worth that investment because he was renewed right I guess you could even say Howard too his first deal was 100 million a year for five years when he first went to satellite it's it was less than I think it's I think the last I heard was 60 million for whatever last deal was but at the time he was making his money for this company and it seemed worth it these other companies I don't know how this is going to pan out because you've got streaming services that are bending over backwards and combining with other IPS that they don't own for bundle deals because they're all suffering movies are suffering everything's suffering in far as entertainment you've never had a better time in your life for entertainment you can find anything within a couple clicks books music TV anything video games it's all there and maybe too many choices have damaged the marketplace because there's nothing that's special anymore there's no appointment listening appointment viewing appointment playing for I mean you I said this the other day and somebody was like what's appointment playing I'm like video games when you used to wait online some not me but when people would wait online outside of a GameStop at midnight Jordan not you I definitely did that Halo 3 like people would have like competitions outside the midnight releases meant midnight so like we would be around the wall like you know around the block lining up for the newest Call of Duty Halo was the big ones like you know yeah we did that all the time yeah so now that you don't have to do it at a certain time and line up having sex with Whit [ __ ] [ __ ] making money um enjoying my you don't have to worry about all this stuff here so now it's like nobody we we talked last week late night that article about late night's dying out and rightfully so and from the words of Jimmy Kimmel and he's not wrong he said if if ABC offers him a new deal he'll sign it because what else is he going to do he's not going to fight it there's no other late night stuff out there and when he's done he doesn't think they'll even replace him with another late night show they'll just put something else on because late night doesn't seem to be worth it for any of them anymore it comes back down to the appointment watching no one's appointment late night radio catching up on Tik Tok no one cares about morning radio anymore and that was a big thing for the radio industry forever yeah work your way up to mornings was the big deal because Howard you can listen on his replays or on demand like an hour or two after his Show's done it's on demand so you can just it's like I don't have to get up in the morning I'll just listen to them in the midday or in the afternoon um shows around the country big shows you know know uh Elvis Duran Woody you know things like that you should go listen to those guys support those people but a lot of people also listen to their shows on demand where the music's cut out the commercials are cut out and they hear it all there doesn't mean they're not listening to these shows doesn't mean they're not fans of these things they just don't need to get up and listen at that time unfortunately we go back to Alex here I'm I'm like how is this going to break down I don't understand it she's she's she's very influential she she has a very big show and a very big audience but is it going to make that kind of money as I said that the next day an article broke down what the deal was which is great because you don't usually get that kind of breakdown from it so this is the breakdown of her $125 million deal with SiriusXM uh the deal structure with SiriusXM incorporates performance-based metrics that Cooper must meet to realize the full potential of the $125 million valuation so unlike other deals it's not like we're paying you1 million for 3 years there's stipulations and things that you have to meet which is like radio Milestones which is like radio it's like hey you guys will give you A3 million5 million contract per year to Syndicate your show but you also have to hit um certain um levels in in certain markets and then you get bonuses for you know if your demographics go up or if the overall goes up or if the overall station goes up because your shows on that you know there's all these different breakdowns where you make more money uh ad Revenue sales revenue streaming Revenue you know not just the ads that are on the the radio um in the car or on the radio you get different ads for the streaming stuff which is important so all these breakdowns now mean it's like you can potentially have this money it's not a guarantee but you got to do all of these other things uh she will oversee the production and development of a Full Slate of programming for her unwellness Network which I guess is the name of her podcast Network this includes current and favorite shows featuring various influencers such as Alex Earl meline Argie or Argie uh Harry I don't know any of these names Harry Josie and Owen Fel uh SiriusXM funds these projects but as the Network's leader Cooper is responsible for managing budgets including compensation for other hosts involved in the network so the money goes to her and she's now the boss like she has to then pay everybody on her network Sirius can put ads on all these things and distribute all these things but they're not handling the operations they're not handling the pay structure it's like we cut you a check you're responsible for paying your own people to meet her Target uh Cooper must maintain or increase list numbers to meet specific download targets a common practice in the industry known as download insurance this ensures that the content remains engaging and reaches a broad audience additionally she is expected to contribute to siriusxm's broader programming Beyond her her podcast Network which probably means uh get out there and show up not oh that's local radio but I was going to go get out there and show up at the car dealership on Saturday morning because we're paying you a ton of money um this must this must mean that they can use her face for all kinds of advertising if they have events um step and repeat events red carpet stuff concerts I don't know if they're still doing the concert series at the Apollo anymore that mean she has to show up to all of those things if they want her there um yeah so Live Events special programming initiatives and possibly roles in satellite radio offerings as SiriusXM aims to bring a younger audience to its subscription based product I'm starting to think that they're probably if this is the gamble they're doing she might be the new face of Sirius probably like Howard did what he did for that company whether you agree with it or not he was the face of that company for almost two decades now oh wait two decades yeah goes a b longer I just realized it's like no wait he we went to satellite in four 04 when did he go he went 06 so he's all right almost two decades for Howard just about yeah but his audience is you know dying off and not rejuvenating younger people don't care and a lot of his audience left because they don't like a lot of the stuff that he does he still has an audience but it's not what it used to be uh and the hype around him is definitely not what it used to be so they might be looking at her as being the new face of the company trying to bring in younger people because they have a big problem we've talked about this a lot in the past like if you're under 35 no one subscribes there they have a dead end younger people are not accidentally finding satellite radio or if they do in a car that has it on they're not going to sign up for it and why would they well and I think what it'll also do is it brings in a demographic that I think talk radio and especially shows like Howard or anything like that really don't skew toward is that female audience so they're GNA bring in a lot of that female audience that audience too yeah so you've got stuff like that I just learned I didn't know what wondery was for Amazon right apparently they also Inked a deal back in July with Dak Shepard's armchair expert for like $8 million so they signed him up for 80 million because I guess smartless went away boring I thought so too I tried watching some of the we had him on OA once or twice he seemed like a nice enough guy I'm a big fan of of his wife's work if you're not aware Kristen Bell um I've tried I know I have somebody in my family that loves dax's podcast and I went really because I try to listen to it and it's just I don't even see it's meant for like Housewives and I don't even know how they stand listening to this I feel like when he talks it's like he's trying to work out some kind of therapy session it's like Mark Mar he doesn't know half the [ __ ] he's talking about either right like it's one thing when we do a show and if something pops up live or right before we go on it's like oh we don't have the information yet we're looking for it while we're doing it yeah he just goes oh yeah I saw something the other day didn't write it down doesn't have the article doesn't have a clip doesn't have anything it's it's just really lazy and boring anyway uh Alex's show I understand the popularity I see the demographics I get it I don't like it um in the sense of it's not for me I'm not the audience for that thing a lot of the speak she's in that cusp of gen Z Millennial speak in there is irritating to listen to and hypersexualized to the point where if when you hear a woman's show where they just it's constant sex talk it just it's a turn off from listening not like being interested in those people but it's just like I can't sit there and listen to this the whole time and she's getting stuff out she's gets big celebrity she's doing what she's supposed to do for the demo she's supposed to do it for and that's what's important I don't listen to it it's not for me but kudos to her for figuring this all out and Landing this kind of deal that she can um yeah so that's sort of the breakdown for her whole thing this is again in the last three years 5ifth million hundred million plus deal for a podcast where are willing to sell this episode for $100 million now if you want to talk about the show and our extensive catalog we go back 10 years between two companies that we own the rights to I'm willing to make a deal but for this one episode is $1 million so we're putting it out there so everybody knows right if you have you have the money let's talk if you're sitting on 100 million and you don't know what to do with it reach out to our agent Hollywood agent Rob Stark right we get you his information ball rolling we can make the introduction we are not involved in in such legalities and formalities you deal with him and then we'll come to the table when we're ready to sign but other than that um yeah it's just insane that this is the new Norm now radio it does seem like they're comfortable with and some of these podcasts are just getting aund million doll deals now yeah and think about like where she started you know a couple years ago she's now making double like they doubled what her last deal was mhm I'm like Jesus Christ she's far blew away what she was making at barol sports oh yeah um but good she figured out a way to do it and the other one's wallowing in obscurity apparently she still has a podcast I Know Carl from who are these podcasts checks in on her once in a while she speaks in vocal fry you know what that is yes I hate that all when they talk like this yes no hurts my throat oh yeah it's it's so aggrav ating um but yeah all right that's it for $100 million we are easily sold we can do all of that stuff uh oh one note uh thing I want to tag onto this too because we talked about uh Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce going to Amazon uh for $100 million for their podcast right Travis Kelce was also cast in Happy Gilmore 2 yep they just had uh they just had Sandler I think on their latest episode and yeah were talking about all that stuff and Sandler said that uh Kelsey will be a part of the upcoming Happy Gilmore sequel um no word on in what capacity it could be just a cameo like some of the other stuff that some of these people do but what if he runs into him who was the big sandwich Subway right wasn't it Subway so who maybe they've got Subway again or some other thing that just I think they need to stay away from Subway maybe they go to Jersey Mike's now or something Jersy mik yeah and then Travis Kel's just there he has gets into an argu with argument with him at a Starbucks or a sandwich shop something maybe that's all it is it's just a cameo or it's another one of those celebrity proam things like Bob Barker did yeah you know what I mean um let's talk move uh on to some food news here for you because there's a bunch of stuff going on uh what's this thing here I didn't see this about Kroeger guilty of price gouging Kroger what happened with Kroger so we've all been seeing you know all of our grocery bill is getting higher and higher and stuff like that and I know recently um last week I think commo was outlining trying to maybe you know put into some legislation trying to curb price gouging um right I don't know how that would work I don't know if it's a good idea I'm not getting into the political side of things but I just find it funny that right after all that uh a top company leader at Kroger has admitted during an antitrust trial that the company gouged prices on select items above inflation levels U while testifying to a Federal Trade Commission attorney Tuesday krugger senior director for pricing said that the grocery giant had raised prices for eggs and milk beyond the inflation levels um this quote this is not at all surprising um companies across multiple Industries have been posting record profit since covid-19 crisis while consumers have faced the highest inflation in recent history the math can only point to companies raising prices above the general level of inflation as the old saying goes never let a good crisis go to waste so so we have a company who is in the midst of an Anti-Trust trial because they're trying to take over um Albertson's Safeway brand right and you know a judge in Colorado put a halt to that now they're trying to get through all that because that would make them pretty much the one of the biggest if not the only grocery store conglomerate here in the United States and they had to pretty much admit yeah once Co hit we raised the prices way higher because we just wanted to and we knew we could and I'm like [ __ ] you guys are [ __ ] [ __ ] you know what I mean like we're sitting there everyone's all struggling you know trying to blame everybody else all this stuff and the corporations are just back there rubbing their hands counting their money because you know before covid I was buying 60 pack eggs for like 4 and five bucks and now you can't get them for like less than 17 in my area right and it's just it's ridiculous that you know the pandemic is has ended prices should have gone back down and they just kept the prices up and we are not making more money you know all this stuff's happening so yeah they they admitted that they Rose you know raised it up way past what they should have raised it past so we're all screwed yeah um I have somebody helping me here because we were trying to figure out how to reincorporate uh Instagram into the live broadcast stuff right and I hadn't seen any problems I'm like okay I guess this is working well and I was checking it looked like it was live and it turns out the the person helping me it's like oh [ __ ] this never went live it just went live now so it missed the whole 100 million enre hour and a half so you came in on a supermarket admitting that they were price gouging people so fun all right we're gonna start over yeah let's start the entire show all over yeah let's go back to Sid Vicious breaking his leg again oh uh all right well uh for those who are just joining us with Instagram um hi thanks uh do us kindness go over and uh I guess you're following us on Instagram if you're watching the thing there but if you want to go over to our YouTube or our twitch channels do a like And subscribe let you know when we're live you can watch it there we would appreciate that all right it's really funny uh moving on so um so that's one thing with food news with the the Kroger Supermarket indust uh Corporation admitting to price gouging so what's going to happen to them they're going to get fined probably right I don't know um I don't know if they hopefully people stop going and like oh [ __ ] you I'll go to your the problem if they're going to be holding on to all the grocery stores where you going to go to you know in my area right now you've got Safeway you maybe have some Albertson you have an offshoot um local grocery store chain and then everything else is all Kroger it's all fries so once they get a hold of Safeway Albertson's I don't have anywhere else to go I can shop at Walmart which I do because the prices are low I just hate the corporation as Amazon Fresh I mean there's that yeah but it's just it yeah that's what that's I don't know if they can actually get in trouble legally for raising prices they're it's a capitalist can when the gas stations do it when they start sending uh shooting their gas up to six bucks during a a time of Crisis or or an emergency they get in trouble for that so they raised all their prices during the pandemic and admitted to doing so so they should be get some kind of uh government slapping the dick definitely won't be the the only time we hear about it and considering like I said KLA is trying to do some anti- gouging anti price gouging kind of uh legislation if she gets into office this could be the the the face of that the poster child of well see we told you this was happening right they admit it we have to stop it so this could bolster those chances who knows but yeah grocery stores and corporations as a whole are uh screw us all over of course they are oh Super Chat coming in Mike leadford $5 going towards Jordan there is a nice little pool of money Jordan that I have to send over to you it's just sitting there uh great show as always sit going I I've got to repair my car and Eric's like sucks to be you and then just mut I'm living it up buying all kinds of cases of crystalite because that's my life now right uh all right so moving on with the food stuff here so if you're not familiar I've talked Boars Head listeria deaths four decades about my love for a particular um deli meat cold cut product if you will called borsh head and they were top of the food chain top seed when it came to your cold cuts everyone always yeah they're expensive yeah but they were delicious there's a reason for it it's there reason for it yes they were fantastic well uh about a month or so ago um apparently they were concern they recalled a lot of stuff saying um yeah there might be some uh some issues with some of the uh products that we've been sending out to the nation people are getting food born illnesses and uh they sent immediate um uh cleaning services to a lot of the uh the the bigger Supermarket chains and food establishments that they deal with saying if you have a food that was shipped to you or purchased during this time uh don't even send it back throw it out immediately and then disinfect and scrub your entire ire casing that you would keep your cold cuts in there not like oh it didn't touch the other side Take It All Out clean everything like whoa what the [ __ ] going on well now it's been revealed that people are dying yep from all of this it just goes from bad to worse and I will probably never get B's head clo Cuts again which is s which sucks because the alternatives are terrible cuz this is the this is the kind of stuff is why you don't have Jack in the Box in your area because of the same kind of food born illnesses that was the 70s early 80s it was a different time starts it drums it you'll it'll drum out the thing you love and then you're going to be wanting to come out and eat it out in the west coast where we have no care for it I know that was amazing going out and getting that grilled the grilled Sourdough Jack oh was fantastic um so yeah so there's no alternative to Bor head I mean you got thumans you got black bear then you have you know each supermarket chain has their own No No Frills version I know Walmart has a No Frills Deli version of of stuff I don't know what to do I don't know where to go for all of this stuff here I may just have to give it up all uh all in one and that's probably to be a lot healthier decision to do all that you may have to do more of like a traditional Deli instead of doing like a grocery chain but all traditional delies have those chains they're carrying like if you go to any at least in the east on the East Coast they will say proudly carrying Bor head or proudly carrying fans you know it's it's a big deal for a lot of these companies to advertise well I go to that Deli because they carry these products instead of that one there like that's a big deal in the sandwich and deli meat Community all right we're big community so this is a news update from NBC about what's been going on that the CDC was involved with everything happening here this is the worst outbreak Mysteria in 13 years that's not the right clip hold on why did Bill Mar show up that was weird well that we're going to get to that in a second but um all right I guess this one here let's try it again this is the worst outbreak of leria in 13 years 57 people hospitalized nine people dead of incling six since the last update earlier your damn State cannot keep their [ __ ] hands out of any news story it's got to be a part of everything any news story look we know Florida has some bat [ __ ] stuff California constantly got bat [ __ ] or burning you know there's always weather disasters happening over there there's there's probably like um you know any type of uh election interference or government something going on and it sometimes involves Michigan and Pennsylvania and Ohio those things where it's more politically charged the main swing States kind of right and then it's said and also Arizona it's like how Arizona always involved you know there's been an increase in in uh in mass shootings going on in all these other areas oh also Arizona Arizona Finds Its way into every news story I mean we've been trying to do this since 9911 they're like oh these terrorists you know did this to the uh the World Trade Centers and Arizona's like yeah but we trained them how to fly right it's like even disasters the Grand Canyon had to flood and wiped out people they were Miss from the Grand Canyon usually people fall to their death or like wolves and coyotes take apart families and Burrows that they were traveling on not a flash flood came through the Grand Canyon and people went missing they're in other states now so funny damn you Arizona I saw I was like crap New Mexico New York and two people from South Carolina originally linked to Boris head straussberger brand liver worst the recall now involves 7 million my grandparents used to eat liver worst all the time I remember as a kid eating liver the same as that like potted meat stuff look at the Little Red Devil on there like you'd open it up and you spread it it's like um you ever see like um like a pate like a duck Pate where it's or chicken Pate where it's just like chicken livers mashed together into a into like a dark paste with seasonings and stuff that's what liver worst is you know having German family they live on that sh it was it was liver worst onions on white bread with spicy mustard I mean most of that sounds really used at fors head's Jarrett Virginia Factory the products have either est1 12612 or p-1 1261 thek of inspection on product labels if you have these meats the CDC says throw them away leria is a serious infections the most deadly form of food poisoning people are dying from C Cuts today Bor head said it regrets impact of this recall and it's conducting an extensive investigation expert the CDC says leria is a hearty germ it can Linger on surfaces like meat slicers and Foods even when refrigerated symptoms can appear the same day or up to 10 weeks later Jes so imagine at the beginning of the summer you had a a ham and swiss sandwich and now you're going into labor day and like huh I don't feel so good I have a bit of abdominal pain here it must justos be cramping maybe I need to drink more water and then the next day you're in the hospital and possibly dead by the end of business wow hope it was a good sandwich fever and muscle AES are you going to it's like I'd like to be alone with a sandwich please are you going to eat it yeah and then she just smacks it out of his hand into the garbage all right an joins us now in studio so The Simpsons predicted this again everything back most for leria infections Tom there are three groups first of all pregnant women who's over the age of 65 and anyone who is immuno compromised if you are if you fall in those category if you're over 65 you're you're dying from lunch meat and if you immuno compromise remember on Howard when Insane Clown posi used to throw baloney at like stripper asses yes now you just fling some lunch meat across the cafeteria well that could be you could that could be assault at this point you're trying to kill somebody that's attempted murder nailed it I don't know why this discount Susie oron is tell please do not eat meat that is sliced at Deli counters unless it's been heated or steamed before it's served thanks for watching wait a minute heated or steamed so it's like all right you can't eat it that way but if you go fry up the baloney sandwich a little bit then it's edible no I'm not if you're telling me this whole thing is is an outbreak I'm not going to then boil the [ __ ] thing in order to eat it Bo just not going to yeah I'm not going to eat it anymore no I I think I'll I'll I'll not take the risk thank you very much so uh check your cold cuts people oh sa anymore can't even be happy it's going to be detrimental to Bor head because even when they get this all cleaned up and done and then then they're like okay we're GNA you lost consumer trust it's it's almost forever tainted they were the top seed of the of the lunch meat game and now this is happening it'll take years before people will stop associating this particular thing with them thumans is dancing around with their happy hat about this cuz now they're going to it's like if if like Subways fell apart now blimp is the number one sandwich chain you know I don't even think Blimpies is around anymore it's I think I've heard that they're but not I know Quiznos is pretty much G they might might as well not be nobody's talked about them in Forever um uh black ATU black ATU haven't seen you in a while sir uh what is uh better Italian Deli video - Exaggerated Accents Jewish or Italian delies it depends on what you want well it depends on the Italian deli and if they're making my sandwich like that one guy uh what remember that one guy making that big old p p sandwich like he was just full on Mega Italian oh you have that video yeah yeah yeah yeah okay we can do that then all right we'll send right that Jewish deli is better for um your standard Meats your cold cuts um if you're into liver worst if you're into any of those kind of worst sausages those kind of things a Jewish deli is usually better for that a kosher deli is a because it is delicious but they will not put cheese together with meat so like oh I want a ham and swiss they won't give it to you if it's a proper coas or Deli get out of there don't deal with it because it's the food's fantastic you just don't want to deal with the hassle get a canish and a pickle and some spicy mustard and be on your way um Italian delies don't usually do the coold cuts like the the the basic stuff they do a lot of the Italian cold cuts so pada um you know salami pepperoni all that kind of stuff there so it's all the matter of what you want to eat that particular time as you're going now if you're on the East Coast can't go wrong with either kind even the worst kind of Deli on the east coast is better than most of the places around the US and if you walk in there and it just smells like oil and vinegar and onions then you know like this is this place is going to be fantastic you're like I'm in the right place yeah um there was something else I thought I saw here I guess not all right so the Italian place so we saw this ad do I have the notes here still of the Italian place or did I delete I don't know if you have the ad the notes let's see I don't see any notes I see the video poed up but I don't see notes ah shoot all right I got rid of them Italian deli guy yeah um you know what check the the our our show prep thing in Discord see if you can find it click on that account see if it it tells you where the restaurant is before I play all this you got it this video came about it's a place in New Jersey and this guy is talking to you about how great his Italian deli is and they are uh the kings of making party Heroes which if you know me and anything about me I am the king of the six-foot party hero love a good 12 six foot party hero right and they're like oh we do the party Heroes but we do them in four feet which is already youve lost me cuz it's it's six foot or nothing um he goes and puts the sandwich together in a way that is just ridiculous now it looks fantastic but just the way he talks and the way he's describing it is off-putting it's it's like I will purposely not eat this now because of how this guy sounds so this is giovan's Italian deli in White Plains New York oh it's New York okay so it's an hour that way not an hour that way gotcha all right correct so this is the video they put out here here let's let's take uh let's take let me make sure the volume's not going to kill everybody okay let's take a look make a when the your bread a 4ot sandwi how you doing hey now we thrwing a little regular balsamic juicing it up a little Jing it up a little we'll forget about it bit you don't that drives me [ __ ] nuts cuz he does it after every sentence but no just in general growing up in the New York area the New York City area Long Island living in Jersey for as long as I have't they don't talk like that there are people who have the heavy accent and they talk like this and you know because they're from New York and it it's all exaggerated but it it it it doesn't sorry it's not exagger it's it's is what it is for the accent in this area cuz I'm not going to lie this is the stereotypical coming from the West Coast Italian accent that I would think someone from New Y everyone trying to say oh this is how I'm from Brooklyn I'm from New York how you doing and all they don't say how you doing they don't how you doing this is Joey from Friends a lot of them will come up yeah yeah exactly they don't do that they were like what can I do for you or what do you want you know it's very short precise how you doing my friend what's going on like they're nice they're jovial they exaggeration of a New York accent of a New Jersey accent that right in there is so aggravating one cuz it sounds ignorant and dumb as [ __ ] to the rest of the world I get that but the people who grew up in this area and hearing people do that where they're doing hey hey oh with the hands going all the [ __ ] like that very animated those are the dumb wannabes that are trying to over yeah I'm Italian everything's Italian it's like no one gives a [ __ ] that you're Italian even the Italians don't give a [ __ ] that you're Italian my my favorite scene in television well not all of all time but one of my favorite scenes was when they went to Italy wait is that what Preston's saying uh Preston I saw it in The Sopranos I knew people talk like that over there there's a scene where they have to go to Italy I think they did like two or three episodes where they were in Italy and the the family I guess originates in New York that Tony and his his crew are part of the family originates over in Italy so he had to go over there for business paully walnuts they're all sitting at a table having dinner and paully walnuts is the epitome of this this nonsense you know that the the [ __ ] uh you know the idiot wearing the pinky ring and doing this stuff all the time and then he going you know uh give me some of that uh give me some of the macaroni it's like where's the gravy for this yeah the gravy versus sauce Sunday sauce debate always makes me upset and it used to when he was on this show it used to all the time it would piss him off uh but he was like yeah some gravy for my gravy for my macaroni I think it was Macar he wasn't saying noodles no he was saying macaroni macaroni and gravy but meanwhile they're having like rigatoni or pen alav vodka or something like that and he's just talking like low class [ __ ] and you just see all the Italians over there just looking at them like these Americans that think they're all Italian are just garbage to them and rightfully so because that's what you sound like back this up a little bit here and go a little regular balsamic juicing it up a little bit how you doing enough with the H you doing juicing no one cares with his sandwich he's doing this like he putting he's dring his mouth a little bit it's got a little bit of a spit in there like a f and you're going around talking like this like you think syester Salone Italian I bet you even though he's holding the camera while doing this he's doing the shift oh yeah he's well because he's making a sandwich for somebody somebody's there watching him do this video so he's he's doing a show yeah continuing I will draw the moradel look at that beautiful moradel forget about it and now we draw on the bro you doing we the forget about it is one thing because there are signs when you're going into Brooklyn from Queens or going into Brooklyn from Manhattan it says welcome to the burrow of Brooklyn and then it says forget about it on it now the state endorses that so no one talks like that at one point maybe they did or just cuz they thought it was clever to take from a movie or whatever they put it on the sign their actual signs that say it so I'll give that a pass no one's really talking that way but I'll give it a pass the how you doing has got to stop and the what say the b the B he does at Le well I'll get to that I'm getting ahead of here throw on the bro we throw on the weow I hate that he says tro like it's such a and that when he says sandwich he says sandwich like he's made it a brand where sangu I'm like you're an idiot just look at this super bro come on I mean it looks delicious bro look at this how yeah right now there's nothing wrong with the sandwich there still needs to be a lot more put on to it but right now it looks fascinating now we throw on the Gaba gold oh Preston got it right we got the need some of the Gaba gou there it is the Gaba goul the Gaba goul which they don't call which I didn't know was a meat I thought it was like a stew I had no idea what Gaba was it's spelled cacola yeah I was going to say it looks like capicola cacola which I love but they call it gabo because they're they're just dumb people Happ which by the way it is delicious when you have did you hear in the back okay back it up just a little bit before used to play again someone in the background said the exact same thing you just said where it was like cacola or something like that she corrects him and he just kind of moves past it yeah cuz she probably knows that like he's making this he's making this video to get attention for their place I get it hey you know I'm not we're not completely inept here uh but even she just had enough with his his dumb being what what's the term jamoke yeah yeah jamoke ass what were the what were the things that gidl used to call people Chooch oh he's such a Chooch that's a good one yeah I was with G one time and something was going on we were walking somewhere and somebody was doing something across the street was being an [ __ ] and the other guy goes there was another guy next to us and he goes get you seeing that and G goes yeah what a Chooch the guy goes [ __ ] right that guy's a Chooch and I couldn't stop laughing because of what the other guys said and G is just getting along with them on New York anyway [Music] Happ like it's if not his wife it's his mom or something that's old world old school yeah it's like Mom or Grandma and she doesn't put up with this New York bastardization Gaba it's CAPIC Colo she's right I will now go back to that place just if the mom's there right she needs to make the sandwich and now we draw on the fresh Mozel mod come up bro look at this Mel all right that's the whole thing oh when they go my like that they don't normally say that people don't normally say that that's people pretending to be heavy uh overly Italian when they go oh Maron like that they don't say that [ __ ] at least in that way I will give him credit however for saying mozzarel because there's places in Hoboken uh Jersey City that I've been to where they call it muts fresh muts oh I hate and they put it on the signs when they're when you see the sandwich descriptions mutz yeah I was going to say it's yeah it's like stop being a dumb [ __ ] just stop doing this sh be you can be Italian you can be American and play into that without sounding so ignorant don't be a caricature of Italian just be Italian and a character a caricature that doesn't exist anymore like this is from the 50s and the 60s and maybe the 70s this kind of you know um ideal of what being an East Coast Italian is it's not like that anymore they've wised up somewhat how you don't little on this is to me yeah and I was going to say this is where we lost you because I've seen you complain about sandwiches I've gotten saying why you got the arugula on there that just ruins your sandwich so when I initially posted this video on on the Instagram I said I don't know what's more offensive his overe exaggerated accent or the arugula now I I've had a lot of people saying what's wrong with arugula they like arugula I don't like arugula I don't like these plants and lettuce with the stems and the spines in them it's it's not okay to me it's a bit of shredded iceberg is what your your bag is or Roma cut the spines out throw the Roma on there even spinach spinach is great too I do like some fresh spinach on sandwich you don't need the stuff with the stems like this or when you get a salad or sandwich when it says Mixed Field greens that's just just means you got dandelion in there and some long clipping it's [ __ ] that the landscapers had left over and like hey we'll just dump it into a salad with a vinegar and some idiot is going to spend eight bucks to buy this before his meal that's all it is you're eating lawn clippings with a lemon vinegret or maybe the bacon dressing that they had left over from a proper spinach sandwich not sandwich salad [ __ ] arugula look at these sued peppers on top bro right from I think you lost me with sundried peppers me too I don't like sundried tomatoes I don't like the consistency and the taste of I love tomato sundried Tomatoes just something suned tomatoes are okay depending on what it's on the problem with sundried peppers and sundried tomatoes is that they sit in a vat of oil all day yeah so when they put it on there the flavor of the pepper or the flavor of the the sundried Tomato take over everything else now you've got a lot of seasoned and spicy Meats on there that should be the predominant flavoring when you're eating this thing you bite into this all of a sudden you'll get all I'm tasting is like the pepper juice or the juice from the Tomato see from where he grabbed it and brought it over to the salad you see it right there in the middle you see it just a pile of it and it's leaking all over the muts and then uh yeah it's just oh thank you I I could do without that Kirkland read in the chat um irck you don't seem you don't strike me as a salad guy yes that has been a long-going observation for me in through my career but uh you you'll be surprised I do a lot yeah we don't win friends with salad so we don't or do we do you have it uh yes no don't wi friends with salad you don't win friends with salad with salad don't with salad with salad with salad it's true I always love that Marge got in on it and Lisa is like Mom she's like oh come you're supposed to be on my side the Rhythm was catchy yeah it's just a lot of fun it's a great episode um okay continuing on here uh with the sandwich how you doing by the way that tray of peppers looked like uh what's the uh the Boneless Ribs at a Chinese place like the the Korean barbecue type like the well or just oh maybe cuz you're on the west coast they do cat and E Chinese food out there but east coast American Chinese food you get the the Boneless Ribs they're just coated in this red stuff it's delicious but that's what exactly what it looks like there all right look at her look at this fine young lady here correcting him on the Gaba gou nonsense and uh his overe exaggeration of stuff look at her look support this lady what's the name of this place again do you have the information uh let's let's see G it is let me see I lost it I didn't think I needed to open it again I I'll find it and we'll talk about it it's not called Gaba ghouls God that's imagine if it was you imagine it's like of course you named it that of course Gaba no um yeah we'll get the name for this go and support this lady tell her how fantastic and wonderful she is and what a jamoka son is tell him to knock it off with the AC it's a giovan's Italian dad Deli giovan's Italian deli in the White Plains area if you happen to go up there go check them out and they're open on Sundays a lot of places don't open Sunday Bo hey now for the Finishing Touch we're going to throw on the glaze and this guy's videoing me over here and this lady over here too how you doing oh she's not the mom no I think she's buying the sandwich oh Jesus so he already put the balsamic on there like he just very gingerly bread put it on the bread which by the way too the peppers and the tomatoes will ruin the bread as well cuz they're oversaturated right so you lose the uh the crispness of the bread now he's putting the balsamic glaze on that which is very sugary here we go the finishing touch on the famous Bronx Godfather and this is how it's done at javan's Italian deli eat and enjoy life guys God bless hey God bless people say how do you close that sandwich this is how you close it people also say hi do you eat it one bite at a time God bless guys don't forget jman's Italian did he just wish death on somebody I don't know I heard Mor I thought he was going to kill somebody it one bite at a time God bless guys don't forget J's Italian deli how you doing make I I want to I want to hate on this guy a lot and and a lot of it I do but I'm looking through Instagram right now and he's got a picture of uh dice in his shop like they're standing together because he went to getting himself a sandwich so I'm like all right maybe he's doing something right at that Deli he's probably the rare Guy where dice is like I don't want to do the picture hey I just came in here for a Snapple I just you just wanted to use your phone I just wanted a Snapple and be on my way and this guy talking rest yeah well anyway uh sandwiches everywhere there you go but yeah it's just like it's it it's him and that that guy that just yells boom after everything and it's just like oh Costco Guys disgust that yeah I don't want to go into that one right now another hour I wanted to get into this but if if you go check out a show called Garett and Steve go look at their show they constantly follow the the uh the video journey of uh AJ and big Justice cuz he's making his kid A A Mess by forcing him to do all this stuff so that the father can be famous M he's roed up a bit and he wears eyeliner I don't get why he's wearing eyeliner all the time but he's wearing eyeliner to eat his double chunk chocolate cookie [ __ ] him uh there's a video showing behind the scenes somebody taped them while they were doing something with another food influencer yeah and you watching like okay he's not wrong with the cues and the direction of what he's doing but it's just aggravating cuz it's him MH you know so he's not saying wrong things but you're just like enough with this and now there's other influencers calling out the kids saying your dad's just filling you with terrible food and he's going to make you diabetic yeah stop doing this well then he's getting his daughter into it who I believe is underage but for her age she's pretty well endowed and they've got her in like tight t-shirts and low cut t-shirts and they're doing all this [ __ ] and it's like this is a ridiculous family and I I I want nothing good to happen to them and apparently they're starting a podcast this week I think this weekend they're doing it they he built a studio they have a video up where they built a studio they're going to go live I think on Twitch and uh I can only imagine I mean look they're performing in in Jump Cuts in small videos could you try a long form no no because it can just yell boom every three seconds I'm just gonna kill myself we're gonna do boom and doom we're gonna have what gets the boom this week what music is booming it's like sponsored by your double chunk chocolate cookie I'll say this he found a he found a way hopefully he's making some money save it all now because that ain't G to last forever no because they'll be they'll be gone in a year no they were sensation maybe they are still a sensation they were peing the interest of the of the social media World they were getting a lot of attention people were finding it people started to like them then what happened other people started to notice like this is terrible and then started getting a lot of that attention and that's only going to Fester more than the positive attention about what a hokey whole uh family Spiel for lack of term gimmick yeah oh stick so dumb so dumb I know uh did I only come in through one side I bar I didn't even hear that that was weird hold on that was weird see if we can fix that again see if it did it all right hold on there it is nice and loud I don't Doug Stanhope swatted know what happened there it sounded like I only came in on one side uh the Pizza King $10 just wanted to leave my tip before I got too drunk to send a super chat I always enjoy your show also did you see Doug Stan hope get arrested in a raid on live stream yesterday uh yeah I was reading up on that he got swatted did he he was doing a live stream I think on Instagram uh he was at his house and what's the weird part of Arizona that you know Scott no that he lives in oh shoot I remember I kept saying it was Yuma and that wasn't the place it was some with a B I think Bisby Bisby yeah that's like an old mining town down South yeah oh you're not too drunk yet you're still here Pizza King you lied oh you know your geography drunk I hate when people lie to me in payment form um so yeah he got raid for doing an Instagram live streaming he was there he had a couple people over and then all of a sudden they just showed up and uh yeah weird like a it looked like an ATF kind of raid you know they were there with the semi-automatic weapons in Bisby they were bored they needed something to do trust me let see if I can find it real quick they had him on the they had him on his knees with his hands uh either behind his head or up in the air and made him walk on his knees towards them to show that he didn't have anything here huh I had no idea let's yeah Bisby so I went down to Tucson Bisby is a little more East I believe east and south of that area so it's very it's it's a very old mining town like you go there to like maybe visit a couple bars do some antiquing like there's nothing really to do in Bisby it's probably nice and quiet for him there all right I mean I'm not seeing it right now I'm see anything I'm seeing are Stills and people doing commentary and stuff yeah um but yeah maybe you can find it online do your own homework people um yeah so he got raided I don't know exactly why but um from what I was understanding somebody swatted him just because they knew where he lived and he was on live so they had somebody over there I can't imagine Doug doing anything like I know he he likes to do what they call the drugs now and then but um well I mean when you're that close to the Border yeah but I've never seen or known him to be like a a problem in public right you know he doesn't like No And when he does leave his house he actually I think I remember one time he had uh went and petitioned he was standing actually in front of the the Bisby Town Council to push civil unions for gay couples like I mean he's he's not exactly like a problem no not at all you know well that is weird I didn't know I'm going to have to go find that video well uh yeah so he he got swatted and uh I think he's out but I think he's doing all right okay but I it looked like I saw something here that he's going to address everything that happened to him soon gotcha all right um oh finally with the food news because this will disappoint people in the Los Angeles area and we've talked about this Shake Shack closing in LA how California forcing that mandatory uh $20 an hour minimum wage was going to cause problems because it wasn't um look I'm not taking sides of the company and I'm not taking sides of the state and I'm not taking sides of the of the employees working in there I'm just we hate everybody equally right that this was going to cause a problem so when it got passed in California what happened a lot of the states not of the states a lot of the businesses went and uh eliminated remodeled their places eliminated their staff and put in the giant touch screens so you walk into a Taco Bell to a McDonald's uh no in and out State as in there but you know those kind of places you walk in d d everything on the screen and then they have one person that comes to the counter and brings you your food that's it then they were trying to pass another bill within the city of Los Angeles that you had to have a certain amount of human workers at your business that you couldn't cut corners and eliminate people just by having Automation and machines doing this and that still wasn't deterring the businesses from doing that because it takes a while to get bills passed and everything you know motions carried they had to up it and then they were going to then start uh penalizing companies who were purposely shutting down and taking their business out of Los Angeles so now you're going to get fined for closing up shop and leaving because you don't want to pay the taxes and the uh the ridiculous fees that the uh city of Los Angeles is requiring businesses to do so so with that being said if you're a fan of Shak Shack in the Los Angeles area you're going to have a problem because because they're closing down locations uh throughout the state including five in the Los Angeles area yep now anywhere you go in Los Angeles except for maybe the outskirts if you're anywhere in the central areas of Los Angeles a lot of people at all times a lot of traffic a lot of foot traffic a lot of everything so MH having prominent locations in the Los Angeles area is very beneficial to your business shutting down five alone many throughout the state but five alone in the Los Angeles area why because of the $20 minimum wage hike Shake Shack will shudder uh California locations the latest fast food chain to close restaurants after the state enacted its controversial $20 minimum wage Bill uh the burger chain which will close um at start nine Shake Shacks overall uh said that the move was a result of periodic evaluation of its portfolio of company operated units corporate speak and uh according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday these Shacks are not projected to provide acceptable returns in the foreseeable future uh five of the doomed locations in the Los Angeles area and others in Oakland uh lowering its total down to 37 remaining in the state more to um decisions about more to come uh where wages were for fast food workers shut up to $20 an hour as of April 1st of this year the company said its decision was based and part of due to changes in the trade area according to its filings Shake Shack declined any further comment uh the city of Los Angeles of course is investigating uh they are having some closures in other states in Texas and Ohio but they're not for the same reasons so maybe they're just not doing business uh the shake Shacks are expected to close their doors by September 25th Hollywood agent Rob Stark has told us that the one that's convenient to him is closing down and he is a bit distra yes um employees of the restaurants can be rehired at other shik Shack locations if the employee does not want to transfer locations they'll be eligible eligible for 60 days of pay um the closures the company said the closures will maximize growth and will not impact plans to open stores in other areas in the future and um oh yeah California's $20 minimum wage hike has forced several major chains including McDonald's Burger King an In-N-Out Burger to jack up prices to offset their higher wages or decide to close down could you imagine closing down to McDonald's which makes money anywhere I don't think I've ever seen a McDonald's go up and leave that location McDonald's just plants and stays and I think part of it is that part of the franchising fee includes you have to retain that franchise in that location for x amount of years but I've never seen a a closed McDonald's I've seen closed Taco Bells I've seen closed Pizza Huts like I've seen closed restaurants never a closed McDonald you can tell when you've seen a closed Pizza Hut or a closed Howard Johnson's because the buildings are still the same and I've seen Pizza Huts become synagogues because there's been some synagog that have the similar shaping to the Pizza Hut top and they're like your roof looks like a hat it's already built so might as well just take it it's right off the highway so we'll get you know we'll get a lot of uh easy commuter traffic to come and worship right uh so yeah there you go that's everything for food news we didn't even get to all the rest of the stuff some of this stuff can wait till next week yeah video oh we didn't get to oh we didn't do the sound Clips all right you know what we'll push segment two here for a bit uh I want to show you these um uhoh I thought I had them so remember I think think it was towards the end of the 80s into the 90s where they started to loosen up restrictions about songs being used in commercials yeah it's why we constantly get Leed Zeppelin music for uh Cadillac right and it's just like yeah you get a lot of that stuff or um you start uh you started getting Rolling Stones music mus being used for certain things and then in the 9s it came predominant CU you started getting a lot of um Arena rock songs and country songs for car commercials for trucks for Dodge Ram for those kind of La rock yeah Bob Seager the guy who set it all into motion and everyone's just like um who's the guy who did gonna buy me a for buy me a Ford truck and Cru Alan Jackson Allan Jackson yeah he's like well Bob Seager was a was a rock SL croner like he had both going on for him he's like I think I can get on this let me write a song saying it's about just my time growing up and really what it's meant to do is to have the car company come around and said hey this sounds like a great idea we'd like to buy your song and he's like they fell for it cuz the song originally was called I was going to buy I'm going to buy myself a Mercury and cruise it up and down the road and then Ford came around and said hey we'll just throw you know a few million out you and we just want to change the lyric for our commercial and he goes right remember those now now that you're talking about it I remember it it's like got buy m so now then it changed it to Ford truck because they just gave him a Ford truck full of money and yeah why not so throughout the 90s more so in the 2000s it became less um it became less stigmatized to release the the rights to your music to use for commercial use okay and as we got into the 2010s we started to see oh yeah they're all doing it because you had hacky versions of songs being used for Target commercials and you had creepy mysterious versions of songs being used for television shows and for movies Gotham remember when Gotham was on Fox yeah you would always hear some really creepy whatever song being played and it wasn't like even 9in Nails it was a song that was very Poppy and bubbly and all of a sudden they just made a creepy version Walk Like an Egyptian oh there's a [ __ ] ancient mummy that's going to terrorize Gotham next week got it vacational I ever want you're like what is happening well and they do they do that now with like movie trail where it's like it's really hip to take a popular kind of upbeat song slow it down make it like creepy and that's your trailer I mean the the Batman did that with Nirvana they did it they've been doing it for almost 20 years now because I think video games were the first ones that were starting to do it where they would take the songs war and yeah and and slow it down to make it creepy to emphasize the importance of the story of a video game then TV shows started doing it like Fox and then the CW the shows in the CW couldn't jump harder at that [ __ ] to to manipulate those songs and then put it up uh no cooler it's not musac musac is just really like almost like synthetic midi versions that would play in a department store or um uh elevator or something like that yeah Preston and see in the chat Donnie Darko yes Donnie Darko well no that song was that way right it was that was the same song they used in the Gears of War trailer places familiar yeah but that's how the song originally was they just used a song like that in there I guess that does set the Precedence because well the original is more upbeat than what got re-released the re-release is slower more deep yeah okay no I'm taking your word for it I I'll look it up right maybe that was the maybe that is where it started maybe Preston is right that is where it started it doesn't matter we're moving on from that um anyway so it brings me up up to now that they're so blatantly using music now in everything like they're not even trying to make their own catchy Jingles they're not even trying to make their own um you know um beds songs for products for whatever that become memorable TV theme songs used to be a thing they were their own mini songs and you still remember them from the like 70s through when did they got rid of them like 2000s they stopped doing TV theme songs so you know you go back there and you you know if you're have a certain age you start you know the Friends theme you know um uh you know the Seinfeld Theme even though there's no lyrics to it you know Different Strokes Facts of Life Mr badier one of our favorites oh I love it um so now it's just they're not even hiding it anymore and they're like hey we're going to take a ton of money for a very popular song and just going to turn it into our product mhm it's I've been seeing it more and more now and I want to show you a couple of commercials here before we go to real quick uh Mador was an original tears for fear song That Was Then remade by a guy named Gary jwes yeah for Donnie Darko and that was the slowed down more gothy S I don't think I know the Tears for Fears version The Tears for Fears one is a little more upbeat I mean it's still it's the same song but it's it's it's like a got of let it all out these are the things that we dream we can do without come on it's a mad world come on it's like why does every song sound the same it's the it's the same beat they just put new lyrics to it yeah anyway so commercials nowadays they're not even hiding it anymore they're just throwing it in there you'll see as we go into the holiday times pay attention to Target holiday ads you hear just the cheesiest bubblegum plastic versions of popular songs being used for all their advertisements this is a little different take a listen to here this is a commerci commercial for soda stream [Music] here flavors you like enjoy all day and night always fresh taste that's the way it should be with soda stream it's fun to mix it fresh you will see now push replace plastic with ease yeah you can do so stream makes it fresh and perfect for you now push it it's fun to push it I mean for the same amount of money they probably could have had salt and Peppa do it yeah I I don't know if they're all talking to each other I think they're on their like eth Spinderella because they keep they either keep dying off like the drummers in uh just SP tap or they getting fired or something they probably could get them for cheap for that but I'll say this I would like the instrumental of that that' be a good rejoiner for the show uh the song itself is just like H can't believe they're doing that right right so that's one example and I say that to lead to this one here I'm sure people out there know this when I say it the Quilted Northern toilet paper commercial have you seen this oh no those the ones with the Bears that wipe in their asses con which is always disturbing and gross know always having no there's they always like make mention of like Dingle Bear's being stuck and all now you're thinking of as a bear's ass with [ __ ] in the fur all the time I'm like knocking off I know it's meant to be innocent but it's disgusting well and my my always thing before we go into it is why are we advertising for toilet paper we all know toilet paper exists it's like the one thing you shouldn't have to advertise because you're buying it yeah no one is not buying toilet paper so it just doesn't make sense this is Quilted Northern can you guess the song that they're using we Quil this city we Quil this city with a oh my God it doesn't matter it's all the same it's just as bad as the original song I can't believe they're doing a Starship song for this stupid product com oh and they're just selling it with just no energy now before it kicks in the interesting thing is this is the original commercial you see the long firm commercial give it a couple weeks you're going to see 10-second hits they'll hack the edit hack edit this thing Quil this city and then boom logo and that's it they're just little popups now you won't see the full Ed anymore after the initial run here so cushy and so plusy just give it a try feeling ising the Quilted Comfort e the Quilted comfort of Quil I'm just imagining all these women wiping their asses yeah but the it's shoehorning the words like it doesn't really flow they didn't spend much time trying to make a parody of this other than somebody had the idea we quilt this city and then let some you know low-level um person in the marketing department write the lyrics just come up with something we'll we'll perform it we Quil City with keep it quilted with Quilted Northern yeah oh quilt this city big red Tower in the chat saying those instrumentals sound so goofy lowbudget as [ __ ] yeah they're like MIDI files somebody put middle MIDI files together now Bernie top I'm gon keep tabs going into the the holiday season here because say what you want as we go into September it's officially commercial wise the start of the holiday season so they're going to be uh putting stuff out there leading into Halloween leading into thanksgiv leading into Christmas so I'll keep tabs of products God we're we're in September already I know the best part of the year is the last four months of the I know this is my favorite time of year uh I'll keep watch every other brother have fall I'll keep tabs on commercials see if there's more of these uh the scenario more of these things pop up now because they did Starship because they did quilt uh this quilted City takes me back to the OA days when we used to play a song a parody song of we built this city are you aware of this no I haven't heard this one um I will exercise caution for younger listeners but once you hear this I'm telling you my friend you will never hear the original song in your head ever again can you promise me that I promise you that that song was already bad anyway it's going to be replaced by this for the rest of your life here we go my dicks sh my dicks from your ass oh my God it's got a lot of run on the old show this is a proper like Cakewalk midi from the right your face say you me take the [ __ ] in your dirty place now I'm all Filthy there's doy on my dick it looks just like black but not thick oh my God dirty H and my dick [ __ ] my dick [ __ ] from your assle everybody [Music] Myck my dick sh from your ass now big red is correct the lyrics are 10 times more creative those you'll never hear the original song the same way ever again hilarious because uh cool ler as an aside my favorite midi song is my dick's all shitty there you go see he's in the no so he's in the no anytime that song comes on again you're just GNA hear sh like that oh yeah it's pretty good just like how this song is ruined forever YT it's not ruined it was made made much much better and every time you do that every time I hear that little little start I think now you make a my yeah if you ever turn on something and it's already in the middle of the song like oh I missed the best part cuz then you start hearing you make a my dreams come true it's like a the best parts the beginning y Aunt yeah that's all you need that's the entire song it should be the number one requested song tonight at the top 9 and N coming in from Tom cardi y there you go um I have some other songs that uh some sound Clips here if you want to check it out here uh I got some new stuff that I've been loading into here I was going to say do you want to go to [Music] breaks I was going to say do we want to go to break and play in in between we hear them all nope nope we're g to do it in the show cuz this is what people are not paying for we're doing it [Music] live fantastic it's pretty good yeah uh yeah I like that one that one's a good one you want one more before we go to break yeah let's do one more to understand so [ __ ] you [ __ ] your always to great right those those are great yeah I like that I got more coming but uh we well that's what you get when you pay $100 million for for an episode guys you get all quality entertain stops yes ex I've haven't even touched a percentage of my Archive of stuff this is just a small smidgen a taste a smattering all the nonsense that we have on here um do we do segment two or do we just wrap it up we could we could I don't know is there anything worth talking about in segment two let's talk you know we both we watch some things that we both uh you had me watch a few things that you watched so I mean it's up to you we could just kind of talk about that real quick and then uh we could save all the other stuff for later okay I'm fine with that let's do uh you know what because we got to wait like a minute or something because of the radio break how do we do this um all right you know what [ __ ] it we'll we'll figure it out uh go to break right now more it's Eric Nagel it's BREAK Eric next it's Eric Nagel follow the show on all social medias at it's Eric Nagle for ways to watch or listen to the show both live and On Demand go to it's Eric Nagle Doom it's Eric Nagel is back segment two of the show Eric Jordan here with you to go over television movies streaming updates going through all that stuff so that you do not have to waste your time with nonsense because we do it professionally professional nonsense 100% hold on bar RP Trevor oh the guy who sang that last song that Trevor I was like wait no Trevor's still alive Trevor what happened to Trevor Trevor's working at Q104 in the The Woody Show he's doing a lot of stuff he's not dead Trevor's ah anyway so yes uh we're going through all this stuff here but as we start segment two uh Jordan we go around What we're watching the room and we say what have we been watching what can we recommend to the people what do you have so I'll hit the things that you haven't seen I saw alien Romulus this past weekend I thought it was a good movie it's uh kind of it's in between aliens 1 and two as far as story goes um they made it look very vintage 1979 so all like stuff looks very analog they stay pretty true to the alien type movies and I think it was a good um a good like you know alien movie like I'm I'm too desensitized to these kinds of things where nothing like really scared me too much there was like a jump scare at the end that got me but for the most part like I'm not like sitting there like oh God the aliens are coming um but I thought it was a good story and I thought it was really really fun it's it's worth watch it and it's fun to watch on the big screen because it's just nice to see a good aliens movie on the big screen so I saw that uh today I watched the mov I got about 10 minutes into the movie I gotta continue but yeah and then uh I watched a an Irish horror movie called odity I've been seeing a lot of people talking about this movie online Irish horror movie um it's not scary it it it it's one of those ones where everyone hyped come out to the Insane Clown posy song everybody come to the greatest show you don't know The Oddities no I I know The Oddities I'm just ignoring it and letting it go no you don't you're lying what do we care this song's probably going to get flagged mus anyway exactly anyway so yeah it's it's a it's it's like like ghost ghost story SL you know like a Gollum type movie where there's this wooden creature sitting at a table and it looks really creepy everyone played this up on the Internet like this was going to be the next big horror movie and I was kind of bored like I liked it because everyone had a really cool Irish accent but that was pretty much it for me what do you got over there Eric I um I have the uh the anes song I can get this thing to show up why oh it moved that's why it can't there we go [Music] every know much better the movie would be if this was playing in it show I'm this say hi fezy hi Ronnie 866 969 1969 what's ear doing I know I'm not going to keep that bit going yeah don't keep going that's okay so I've had this conversation with people honestly if someone said hey I've got tickets to the incl Insane Clown posi do you want to go I would go because I want to see the craziness surrounding it all I don't know if it's the same anymore but I went during the great malinko days in the 90s oh yeah and then I went I think one more time in the late 90s I went to see them that's something I would probably want to experience they were doing all the fago stuff knocking uh ripping the cops off the soda bottle shooting it out into the crowd all that fun stuff yeah for me saw that what was I watching um I watched oh uh for some reason it popped Problem with 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels' into my mind that I needed to go back and watch Dirty Rotten Scoundrels do you remember this movie years years it's been since I watched that look up when that movie came out I think it was a late 80s movie starring Michael Kane and Steve Martin 19 what 88 88 it's directed by Frank Oz of Muppet's Fame of Muppet's Fame so I don't know why I just remembered liking that movie and I will say this going back to watch it if if you didn't grow up in the time where movies wasted a lot of time with scenery and Transitions and all that stuff you won't have an appreciation or the attention span to watch this movie because there's a lot of drawn out uh pans of this exotic location in Spain that they were shooting the movie in looks beautiful it's nice the music it was was relaxing to sit there and watch this and have it all drawn out now the movie could have been done in about an hour if it didn't have all the extra you know car scenes and cityscapes and boat scenes and all this this whatever so I'm watching it I'm enjoying it I forgot it's kind of like um uh I think was you that said it's like fish called Wanda I this one and A Fish Called Wanda always remind me of one another and then like sometimes I'll get them confused because I always think oh this is the one with uh uh what's his face and no it's not this is the Steve Martin and Michael Kane one this because you're thinking of John C and Michael Kane yeah so I'm watching the movie having a good time I'm enjoying it I happened to notice something that I got super fixated on does not mean anything for the movie movie The Plot nothing it's just a background thing that drove me nuts that I had to go and clip the part of the movie to show it to you now okay so this is a scene where Michael Kane is in his office there and he's going to pay this woman uh money so as he's walking over here mced all right so he's right here and he's uh he's got the fake bookshelf here that's hiding his safe okay there's his wall safe he opens up the safe here uh has this key he's opening it up to get her this money now I did some jump Cuts because this scene again 80s movie takes a while to go through all of this stuff right see jump cut there now he's going to go close the safe right did you notice it or no hold on go back it's still unlocked it didn't close right you can see it pop back out a little so here's what happened all right so that's the regular scene here so I zoomed in and slowed it and slowed it down enhance enhance look at this Clos closing it it's a fake block did you see it move yeah they put this apparatus over it and as he uh pulls the key out it moves and the door doesn't shut no that's what yeah see that thing there that Circle yeah above it I don't know how I caught it sitting away from the television that that I caught that and it drove me nuts I kept rewinding it over and over and I realized I can't do this either I mean on on the TV it's like I I can't do this through the television the pause isn't going to work I need to go and clip this on the computer and zoom in on and see what it is that was frustrating me well here's the here's the issue older movies like this look he had the key in this thing over here there's obviously a lock behind it but he had it in this thing here and this thing is floating yep for some reason and the door he pushed it closed the door popped I saw it popped that's what cluded me off to it see the problem with movies like this and older movies is that they were filmed in like an SD type uh atmosphere so you could hide a lot of things in low resolution or maybe the scenes not for film film was always shot in 169 yeah but it's still like they had like when you watch things now and it's been cleaned up you notice a lot of problems this isn't even cleaned up Jordan This is shot in the proper aspect ratio it's shot as film it's shot how it's supposed to be shot huh so you're not noticing things like when we we do that bit or I do that bit uh not ready for HD search search that hashtag on Instagram not ready for HD and you can see the shows that I went through where they put all these old sitcoms and television shows out on streaming services in the original HD scope that they shot a lot of these shows were shot on film they cropped it for 3x4 SD but when you put it on the streaming services you're getting all the scenery and [ __ ] that's not supposed to be in the shot right so this isn't that case this is just something that I noticed I shouldn't have noticed this no nobody noticed this cuz I went looking online for things I'm like anybody notice doesn't like IMDb Even has like a Goofs section that usually I didn't see anything about the lock and the safe popping open and the lock being fake I'm Zoom it in and and now I'm going to slow it down again look at this enhance he just Yanks it out okay so no here we go so I can explain this part of it because sometimes locks and saves has that thing that can slide up and you put the key and I think that's what's moving back and forth however it's still weird that he pulls it and it's not locked like there's no he did nothing with safety for this thing right so you could see like the key is behind this moving apparatus and then it closes so this has this has nothing to do with the movie the story anything just bothered you the entire time it drove me nuts I should not have caught that no and it's not me I'm not patting myself on the back saying I'm clever it annoyed me for the rest of the night that I had to go get the movie off of the streaming service clip it and do everything with this just because like this is such a nothing thing that was driving me insane I have this weird ability of seeing [ __ ] when it when continuity is out of place I don't look for it but I accidentally catch it time to time a lot of times I miss it and it's it's great because I didn't see it and then you find out later on I do that too now that you know we're doing the other show and we're watching movies more often I'm starting to catch things that on normal day-to-day you probably wouldn't like I watched a Jet Lee movie with the kids last weekend and you could see when they were making hard Cuts but in the same scene like like I guess maybe the stunt went wrong so they had to hard cut real quick right so like you could kind of see like that that that micr of something else was different and I'm just like watching going this is just bad editing like you start to notice those things a lot more especially when you're consuming that kind of stuff on a regular basis more and more than like the normal viewing audience like you just said nobody else probably would have caught that and watched that happen and see it but because you're so used to catching those kinds of things that is just almost notic I I have I used to have the problem where you would see the clocks like it wasn't like a digital clock they'd be old fashion the arms are in the wrong spot uh sometimes they would have I love looking for boom mics or or if there's like a picture frame or a mirror in in there and you see cast or crew or something in the back that's not supposed to be in that shot you're not looking for these things you just happen to catch it and then you hyperfocus on it go I should not have seen that why did I see that right uh big red Tower saying in speed when keano is running alongside the bus you can see crew reflection and it [ __ ] pisses me off yeah I would imagine so now when I if I go to watch that movie again I don't know why I would but if I did I will now go and see that and be like I I can't deal with this something else about Dirty Rotten Scoundrels they used to piss off my dad because my dad took me to see this in the movie theater there's a scene in the movie trailer that's not in the movie they do that a lot though and that Dr him nuts I hate when that happens but yes they do that a lot so I'm trying to see if I can pull up the uh the trailer for it but he was waiting for this scene to show up in the movie and at the end when the credits were going he goes holy [ __ ] he's like it wasn't in the movie at all what the hell happened these are all clips of the where's the damn movie trailer cuz I had they do that a lot or they'll put audio over a scene that doesn't have that audio and I'm like that doesn't belong there ah here's the trailer okay I found it this is uh this is the scene that was not in the movie why is it not showing up there we go okay here we go and they're both Dirty Rotten Scoundrels all this is in the movie Dirty this is not this is the scene my dad was looking for and was not in the movie and for years he kept bringing this up and I was like this is not that big a deal and then I started seeing [ __ ] in the movies and now I understood why he he had these these little breakdowns about what [ __ ] was in the movie you mustn't turn your back on them for a second of them just walking and then he pushes the old lady in yeah I mean that would be pretty funny he loved that scene he laughed I remember on uh at home on TV he was laughing watching that scene he was looking for that in the movie and it wasn't there I love old ladies trailers so while I was trying to do a bunch of work this week at night I put on movies while I'm doing editing for other things and for some reason I decided to go down a Ricky Stanicky', 'Jackpot bit of a John Cena Wormhole and uh there's two movies that were prominently featured on Amazon Prime that I figured I would watch one is Ricky steni which I uh knew of but didn't um I've never seen and I only knew of it because it's not that old either though so I knew of it because there was a lot of social media Buzz about the movie because John Cena had started an only fans account yeah and everything he did on there was all to promote the movie and the only fans account does not appear in the movie or tie into the movie or any of that nothing to do with it nothing it's just something he did to promote the movie uh Ricky sikki had some funny moments was not terrible no I didn't think it was that terrible movie well I like Andrew Santino and I like uh um I like Cena like it's funny when he doesn't take himself seriously um I thought the story was okay like you know it's it sounds like every other story where it's like you know guy you know trying to be somebody for somebody and then he starts to kind of get into the role and be that person like I've seen that stuff before but it just uh you know I think it it went going to streaming was good for that if that would have released in the theater it would not have done anything right um follow me in the chat saying a lot of the jokes in Ricky stiny fell a little flat for me yeah it did start to feel uh the beginning where they're all kids and they were doing the the the the Flaming bag of poop at the door thing felt like they were it felt like it was coming from an Adam Sandler movie like a cross between Billy Madison and huie Halloween the beginning of the movie I didn't like that movie and then as the movie was going on when they were adults and you're hearing about the concept of Ricky steni it felt like um what's the the [ __ ] movie where they're all in Vegas and their friends go missing oh The Hangover Hangover it started to feel like The Hangover series for a while you know the one friend's missing they're making up stuff about where he is what he's doing it felt like The Hangover uh but when John came in and he he was very funny his Parts he was very good at what he did so I did not hate the movie it was a decent it was a decent movie I like when he ask him about how he learned to do a circumcision and he was like I had a job peeling shrimp at beef beef steak Charlie yeah but he did it don't those don't equate but he did it uh yeah he did it with the cigar cutter right right uh so anyway so I watched Ricky St Nikki once it was done it then suggested would you like to watch jackpot which stars John Cena and Aquafina right so I said whatever I hit play and go did not hate jackpot either I watched it today you didn't like it I thought it was boring okay I didn't hate it there are two scenes in this movie that were hilarious to me and that's what I was that's what I'm most curious about because you had said that you had picked out a few things you clipped them and I'm like what about this movie in any way he wanted to highlight because I just I couldn't figure out where you found that those moments so I'm excited to see this because I haven't seen any of this yet okay this one scene uh there's a bit of a Chase going on and this old lady is chasing Aquafina as she's going up some kind of um like Broadway show backr oh this is the end thing right and she's got a knife and she's trying to to uh kill doesn't tell time that's exactly the clip but it's not for that reason okay I will do this and I will play the clip and I'll tell you why I laughed so hard and why it was a favorite of mine okay okay go here we go hi Miss Kim good to see you again what your watch keeps terrible fine let me reset it for you okay all right that's kind of funny I but it's because you know some old lady got kicked in the face and then hit her head I mean that's exactly why but I'll tell you what else adds to it oh let me reset it for you okay I mean that is funny this is what made it hilarious for me one like Dr Ruth the thud of the B Boom the double thud the bang and the thud combination of her hitting the the the scaffolding whatever and then thud on the floor mhm very funny the reason why it was really funny to me because it reminded me of the scene in Titanic when the guy fell all over the boat and hit the propeller the same kind of and then went spinning around into uh into the ocean it reminded me of that yes now hang on with that in mind watch this again oh let me reset it for you do you find it even funnier is there an eded level or is it just me it's funny it it is I don't know it's just me then because it's not you no because it does kind of like it reminds me of that spot where we were watching Harley Quinn and kitan opens his kite and the little girl goes flying and hits the table I think the sound that happens in both cases make it funny you know then the fact that you hit it we got to that all the time to pull the kite man clip but it's that scene is funny I don't maybe you were tired like when did you watch this was it like 4 in the morning or something uh yeah because that's maybe part of my problem is that I watched it while I was working during the day and I had it up and I'm just like like some of the jokes are falling flat like I really did like the Airbnb chick like she was kind of funny her and DJ who was a DJ what are the odds like they were kind of funny um all right well that's scene one okay scene two made me laugh because of the way John Cena gets amped up for a fight scene this I I think I know where you're going and it made me extremely happy when the music kicked in the the crowd's rushing into the theater and you hear the the the the subtle version of of the subtle intro of the song before it kicks in Goose pumps I got I sat up and I got pumped because here's the thing as I'm working and watching that I did the same thing I got the Goosebumps I got pumped because a I owned this soundtrack on tape when it first came did I know every word to this song and I started singing it doing this scene I was like I love it so play yeah play this one this okay here we go [ __ ] this it's tur time [ __ ] on the ask and he's singing it as he's doing it I stepped on the last part there that's okay it I love that does it made no sense ites it didn't need to happen but him having a fight scene to Turtle Power um from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie in 19 what 90 when that movie came out there 90 yeah something I went and saw that I think two times in the theater as a kid it was one of the last and a VHS tape I owned when it came out it was one of the last physical memories of going to a movie with my dad before you know all that and he left and all that stuff so like I remember when that came out I like I said had the soundtrack I knew every every word even now knew every word to that song and when he started singing it I was singing it with him that happened twice in this movie because there was an earlier scene where he's like in his layer I don't know what what you call it where before he meets up with Aquafina and he's got it on in the background so obviously he's very obsessed with this particular song yeah and I'm just like this is fantastic earlier in the movie he's like fixing a gadget or something like that and he's listening to S so this is the song that gets him pumped and pumped but I want to do it one more time [ __ ] this it's Turtle time [ __ ] on the half that part alone he goes Turtle time [ __ ] on the half he starts singing as and Performing the song as he's kicking ass because you know if you're there there's no music playing we're hearing it as an audience but him he's just that's the song he keeps the rhythm to for his fighting Rhythm and like you're getting your kick by a guy who's just going on the half shell with a Heroes like it's just it's so it's comical in two ways and it's just funny I wish there was an ex I I want an extended scene of this where he's doing the entire song and he's just fighting all these people I want just got I wanted to put out a music video of him just covering it what dressed up as the the at the end where you opened the pizza place yeah what the knockoff names it was like a knockoff that was hilarious it was a knockoff name but all the artwork was the original like he didn't change the artwork and he's eating off green trash can Lids he serving pizza with the marshmallows and then he gets served like a SE say everybody hurry up finish you I got copyright I'm getting copyright soon yeah like that movie had moments like that which were funny I just think as a whole I just I wasn't as entertained throughout I think unfortunately in the era that we're in now with streaming services and what have you you're going to get movies that are just have a series of moments that are good but overalls in the middle yeah CU you look at some of these movies and go I wouldn't watch this I wouldn't watch it like I don't think like a month ago I would have watched Ricky sikki probably not and then just like all right I'll give it a chance and then finding little moments that I enjoyed throughout there I think that's what it is now everything is like little it's like blind boxes you know you put it in there and hopefully you're going to get something good out of it right all right so anyway uh that's oh and then I watched if yeah the uh Brian Reynolds movie about imaginary friends predict I have a problem with this movie I'm I'm really getting tired of movies where it starts off where a kid loses a parent and it's worse now that you're a parent right like it just hit you hard well even before that I I felt that way too but yeah it is Amplified being a parent now but when you when the movie starts off it's like okay it's kind of good and then all of a sudden you're like uhoh wait a minute is the mom got a disease it goes on and like then they go full into it oh the mom died of cancer now fast forward a little bit she's dealing with you know her life and whatever and now her dad's starting to get sick so she's starting to freak out I'm like doing it the one way is bad enough but now you're going to off the second parent throughout the course of the movie you don't know if he's going to live or die like that's blooming over what is supposed to be a kids and family movie yeah and that's that's that's where I I didn't have the kids watch it with me but like I watched it going this is a kids I'd be I'd be I'd have a big problem if if my kid was like I don't know what do they call before teenagers you know that 8 to 12 prens or TW something like that if they're in that kind of age and we went to the theater and this is going on I'd have a big [ __ ] problem with the fact of I wouldn't mind cursing or whatever but I'd have a big problem with I'm like you just show the kid Los her mom to cancer now the dad might be and that's the longer story line yeah like that's Lumin over like will the other parent die too and will she have to go live with her grand how is this a a family movie this isn't fun it's just terrible um to uh bartholomy in the chat kind of like Bridge to Terabithia I don't know that movie that seemed like a kid's movie after a certain point I believe it was a favro movie like it was like the movie he did after like Elf or something yeah um so I didn't like the movie for different reasons that everybody else didn't seem to like the movie but yeah I just thought it was boring and predictable all right let's run through all this because we are super late out of here out right now in theaters uh how do you say this it's TV/Movie/Streaming updates afraid but the AI is apparent because it's an AI gone bad type of movie so it's called afraid John Cho is in it it looks dumb end of August movie where they just got to put it some pretty much yeah it's it's like one of those like we made it cheap we're going to put it out there whatever money we make is going to make it's it's is we're going to be in the red with that one I mean the black so we'll be fine all right uh also in theaters is a movie that Jordan didn't hear of that I had somehow heard of and I was like I think I actually want to see this movie it's called slingshot it stars Casey Affleck and Lawrence Fishburn it's about a um a space outing going to Saturn's moon Titan because it's believed that Titan might be h able to uh human life out there so this is just that whole thing like a lot of space movies where good intentions to go out far into the solar system and bad [ __ ] happens this is just like uh Horizon um uh sorry Event Horizon it's like the Mars movies when we had those coming out red planet and mission of Mars uh Alien falls into that category that's 2001 2010 all those kind of movies where it's like oh it seems simple enough and then you know space tragedy space horror kind of stuff I want to see that I will wait for on demand because I'm not going to the theater to see that next week go and see that and speaking of on demand Borderlands is already there and people are not rushing to watch it even though you can watch it at home because it still has a terrible reputation and I also saw this I meant to put this on the list Harold and the Purple Crayon which is Zach uh Levy's um uh bastardization kids book yeah what is trap trap's Avil that M Night shyal dingdong movie where the guy is a murderer but he's trapped in a concert with his kid right Josh hartnet is like the bad guy like it lasted in the theater for like a minute and then it's gone again so comedy trategy in in the chat here I'm oh I think I know who that is uh I'm commenting on Instagram yeah uh for some reason the interface that they're doing with Instagram here isn't coming to our software it's streaming over there I believe it's still streaming over there I'll have to check uh if it's still over there but the communication's not coming back to our end I know they they're working on that it's been a while since we haven't done the Instagram stream in a long time because just no I forgot we were doing it at all but they made some changes so we figured give it a chance again we're going past the hour it's not capping off in half an hour or whatever it was good point yeah so uh good on that uh what else is out right now uh season four of only murders in in the building I think I forgot to finish season 3 yeah well they're doing it weekly peace meal so only one episode is out right now it's going to be out every go back and try to finish season that's what I'm saying it'll give you time because it won't it's not all out so it'll give you time to progress back to where you need to be so okay so I actually I shouldn't like that show but I do I do Steve Martin Martin Short and uh Selena Gomez and I they always add more people as uh each season goes on so Paul Rudd was in in in last season yeah uh Watchers is on HBO Max uh which is oddly enough is directed by ight shamon's daughter it's like a it's like a weird creatures in the woods horror type movie right it didn't last very long either B I also forgot to finish season 3 so yeah I am in good company comedy trategy season 4 episode one was very good all right good so I I have something positive to look forward to on that uh also on out right now um I don't know half this oh wait I do I want to see this one chaos that I want to seea it's the God's show uh Adam Sandler love you is that his comedy special yeah it's comedy special from his Comedy Tour right yep okay so I want to watch that I did not hate his last Comedy Tour that they did on Netflix I thought it was funny I listened to the audio like on uh my uh onle music they rap song he had to do about losing his keys and his wall and his phone and then it kept building over over because he wound up losing more that phone wallet keys phone wallet keys then he just kept adding to it on the was it uh spaceship 69 yeah that was a good one yeah that I played one for my daughter the other day where he was singing a song about a woman who got killed by a car because it was electric and she couldn't hear it coming like it was just it just it was such a small song and it was like she just started laughing it was great there was that other song he did where he uh he jumps into situations he shouldn't be and then it always ends terrible cuz cuz I don't know what I'm doing right yeah he's like on the plane someone calls for a doctor I go to help but he dies cuz I don't know what I'm doing cuz he's not a Doctor P had a heart attack the plane's going down somebody yells him pilot and he's like I I can fly a plane and he goes everyone's high five cheering I got a high five from a baby like he's going through all this stuff then he sits down and realizes he doesn't know what they doing and they crash into the ocean or something like yeah that's so funny that song's good too so all right I'll check out his new special uh then Terminator zero why even bother it's getting 100% right now with Y so all the critics right now on Rotten Tomatoes are saying that this anime is at 100% And it's we like Castlevania I mean we like Terminator 3 was terrible uh Terminator gravity kills whatever it was called I like that band um I don't remember what I know what you mean Genesis and all that [ __ ] the one with the when Doctor Who was in it Matt smithz in it it was Genesis that was a terrible yeah they were all terrible that the one they gave they gave away the Twist and Chronicles and yeah it was all garbage yeah this is an anime and right now it's tracking it about 100% so Chestnut verse uh kobashi live this weekend where they're going to do their own uh Hot Dog Eating contestes he wasn't allowed he wasn't allowed to compete at the Nathans because he got sponsored by a vegan hot dog so they're like no thank you sir yeah not going to bother uh we'll be back on before this uh opens but next Friday Beetlejuice Beetlejuice now it opens next Friday wide but I guess in some areas and in my area they're doing screenings of it early on the 4th so in your area you might be able to catch it on the fourth or yes it'll be out next week I may try to catch it early just to watch it and have ready to go talk about on the show because I am looking forward to this way too much and I I don't want to get too hyped but I love the property so I will have to go let see coming soon see if I can go buy my tickets for it it is it says opening on the 6th there's showings on the fifth let's see the fourth no showings on the fourth no it sucks okay so I'll have to do uh either the fifth or the sixth and go and see it I also forgot to go over to the AMC theater they have that Batman search light popcorn bu ET I don't think I've ever wanted a pop bucket more in my life until I saw someone light that up I'm like I'll sneak over tomorrow morning as soon as they open and see if they have any left yes they're probably all sold out but uh yeah if you can get your hands on one for me please do and just take it out of my stip and I will do that so yeah Beetlejuice Beetlejuice starting next week uh let's uh get through the news real quick here um never has a video Black Myth: Wukong game influenced a national holiday in a country where uh black myth Wukong is that how you pronounce it came out it's a movie about uh we had talked about not movie it's a video game we had talked about this game where there was a review writing up uh that was written up about this criticizing the game for not having enough diversity in the game when it's about ancient China where there's no diversity yeah there's no diversity in those countries there's way too many Chinese people in this game none and this is the part of of the problem where look people want to play and and re visionize you know fictitional properties and what have you but when you're going back through historical pieces and you're complaining well the cast wasn't diverse enough and there wasn't much uh inclusion on these things it shouldn't be ancient China had one race of people the ancient Chinese that was it a lot of countries hate to break it to you had one type and they were known for their country Greeks Romans Japanese Indian CH like you're not going back there and seeing a like crossover cultures at these times it just wasn't there so it was a ridiculous review to say there wasn't enough diversity in this game there's none and there shouldn't be there are no black people in ancient China while this was happening sorry to break it to you anyway um so this game comes out and a company in China decided to post a note that hey the game is coming out tomorrow we're going to close our offices so you can go and get the game and play this game too and here's my tag on my platform so you can friend me so we can all play keep your phones on stay in communication because I might need help with this game not because I might there something going on for work I might need help pass me the the first big bad so it started with this business and this was the original sign that's there on the business read it's all in Chinese but there's an English version somebody translated it for us oh my God I love okay I just read the last it says holiday notice to celebrate the launch of black myth Wukong and make it easier for everyone to study the game the company has the day off on August 20th for the following eligible colleagues only please take screenshots of qualified colleagues and submit them to HR uh uh portion number one here have pre-ordered the black myth uh game Goku uh two sorry uh PC side of black myth test performance over 60 frames stable or have PlayStation console Xbox people do not fishey mixed so I translates to I know it doesn't make any sense but it's like hey if you're an Xbox go [ __ ] yourself we're playing on PC or playbox it's it's not out for Xbox apparently there's an exclusivity deal made um a lot of people were saying it's because they didn't have they hadn't fixed it enough to where Xbox could run it but apparently it was a but they have it available for PC it's PC and PS5 now the report right now is that the PS5 version does not run very well yeah which is such a mess I want to play this game I know it's on Steam I just don't know if it'll run on my steam deck I haven't seen anybody officially say I was watching some people play it last night on Twitch it looked like a lot of fun I mean the game starts you see the the logo and then immediately gets you into a boss battle I'm like oh this is the game that that's what this game's going to be about I I was watching watching some of the scenes all I know is Xbox no fish eyeball like again if we didn't already have the title that would have been up for the running no fish eyeball so so um watched a couple different people streaming it on Twitch last night yeah and different scenes different fight sequences what have you I did notice one thing when you're fighting mediumsized bosses in certain areas you can start to Telegraph their moves yeah so it reminded me I hadn't seen something that obvious since Mike Tyson's punch out where you could tell when their Super Punch move was going to come that you knew what to look for after watching some of these fight sequences and they're dying all the time I'm like all right I'm starting to see the pattern of these bosses what they're going to do not one white person in there not one black person not one iffy person from miscellaneous Origins it was all Chinese some of it was like old kung fu movies like there's guys that were but they had long Fu man shoes going they're wearing white robes and I got a staff and they're fighting in a swamp and you're like this game looks awes looks awesome like I saw one scene where there's this guy and he's playing like the little Chinese guitar thing and he's singing and he's a Minstrel but he's got no head but he's singing yeah and it's just it's so wild like I just I want to play it the problem is I think it's what they call a Souls type game where it's like you have to progress and then you die and then you have to start all over ah you know and those kind ofes that right yeah dead souls or uh you know those types of games so I I want to watch more of it but it just looks so fun they're they're talking like it's going to be this year's game of the year yeah like last year was balers gate that just showed up out of nowhere this is one of those where it's like no one heard about it all of a sudden here it is and it's causing controversy and it looks amazing and I want to play it bar follow me in the chat saying what diversity can there be yeah exactly it's it's a set time period for an ancient culture right it's just you can't look at certain things through Modern Eyes you can reflect on it but you can't like well we got to fix this up we got to punch up the Holocaust what no you can't it's a story that unfolded it was tragic it was a human event you have to show it and tell it as it is a great tit we can't use punching up the Holocaust yeah you can't do that can't use that one do you know how KCK quick we'd be thrown off apple and all that if was the title um Brad pains this in the chat if you're worried about video game content your real life needs some serious work exactly true this was just some reviewer trying to get some attention some clicks or whatever like well it wasn't enough of this and that it's like you can't apply it to certain games like this no you can't it just doesn't work anymore all right so yeah and that that spawned into other things because after that went viral over in China and then started going uh worldwide the Chinese government was telling people that if you're going to if you want to be off for the game you can go and take off for the game not getting penalized because it's about them their history their whatever well it's made by a Chinese company like this is just like one it's like someone out of nowhere making a video game like I said last year balers gate just just came out of nowhere and just killed it and it was by a company that not like a lot of people really care about and all of a sudden it's like the biggest game in history I would like to set this as a precedent where we should do this in America when a certain game of a certain stature comes out that it's a national holiday and here's the here's the great part about it if your game is chosen that like this year your game is going to be the national holiday release right the amount of pressure that puts onto these developers to get their [ __ ] together to have it ready for day one now you can have some bugs you can have some tweaks but when you're doing all this Alpha and beta testing and then you're resetting all everybody's save points and uh scrapping some of this stuff to go to game to start a day one with known issues but you don't care you put it out there and like oh the DLS dlc's will fix it down the R so now we just bought ourselves more time instead of actually putting in the work to do the game the entire nation's eyes are on you so you got to have this game up and ready with almost Flawless precision or else you fa National scrutiny that this game was terrible now what properties can warrant a national day off because I only came up with two and one is a Call of Duty release okay or a Super Mario release Legend of Zelda maybe uh maybe a Zelda but you see what I'm talking about like this top tier of all games you're not going to get some new kind of game that's going to come out this will be the national holiday game it's got to be something proven yeah I mean there's not a lot anymore I mean I would say Halo in its Heyday maybe you know the original trilogy Halo 123 like those were the big the big dogs that could be another title the taken of the Halo one two3 taken of Halo one um but I just nothing nowadays because they've run some of these big franchises into the ground where like I'm not excited if they put a new Halo out right not and I should be I love Halo but no it's just one of those things I imagine this for Christmas time you get the the trailer is released National Television 8:00 pm East Coast the entire country gets to see the announcement for what the next national video game holiday release is going to be you just see this eye through the smoke and then smoke dissipates and you see GLaDOS and it says portal God if it does Portal 3 I'll quit my job that came exclusively I I knew not even a day off like I will quit my job I knew people who um no younger but when they would like they took days off from school or from work to go play first day I never did that now I didn't I thought it was ridiculous I like those games want to play him but I never like I can't take I couldn't justify to myself taking off a day of work to go just for the video game self I'll take a day off for other Dum [ __ ] but not for that right I took off for Ocarina of Time I picked up my pre-order copy in the gold N64 right I took it home and I didn't actually have that yeah I have that in my store but if they said Portal 3 I would take the day off I've never done that in my life but I think that would warrant I'm I'd spend the whole day playing Portal that's a good one be fantastic um we went so long with all this stuff all this [ __ ] can wait till next week cool so let let's do that let's get out of here we need to do the PLUGS plugs and as always Jordan our nation's eyes turn to you when I am not doing this show I am on a show called I'll watch a later podcast where we review movies that we
