First Time Reaction | Gretchen Wilson & Alice In Chains - Barracuda LIVE | OH GRETCHEN CAN SING FR!

we are back with my Redneck Woman uh Miss Gretchen Wilson and we're back with some of one of our favorite bands here on this channel uh Alice and chains um boy it's been a long time since we reacted to Alice and chains boy but they gave us some great moments here on this channel and I definitely enjoy uh their work and then there's singing so so one of my favorite odies on the channel uh Alison chains with one of uh the more profound recent reactions that I've done in gret and Wilson with one of my uh guilty uh pleasures and one of my my favorite Duos um of all time they're singing a heart song I I believe it's the same BARC uh Hearts Barracuda um so this should be fun man Gretchen Wilson singing Barracuda um vocally She Doesn't Remind me of an or Nancy um at least from what I heard in Redneck Woman now she might come into this and just completely blow my mind but what I remember from Redneck Woman vocally I didn't think an Wilson you know what I mean so um I'm just very intrigued to hear how this will go and I'm going to assume Alice and chains are of course backing her on the instrumentation um so this should be great I'm excited I'm ready it's no research to do we just got to sit back and enjoy the show so that's what we going to do let's go [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] so bu me I saw you again today to turn my heart away smile like the sun kisses for never fail you you have me now wouldn't you Barracuda back over time when we were all you no no a [Applause] song with me all gr all right look at look at gr she doing pretty damn good so far she like I I knew that note was coming so I wanted to hear it and she didn't Ace it but it sounded it sounded pretty damn good I mean mean I I've heard Mo I've heard a lot of people try to hit that note and it's it's not an easy one INR actually did she handled it very well I thought it I thought she probably hit it in the wrong tone but she cleaned it up somehow I thought it was great I thought I thought I I again I didn't when I heard red redneck woman it sounded like something that was made for the radio made not pop but you know what I mean like it was just kind of made it wasn't made to show off her vocal ability so I I really didn't know what she could do vocally um and so to hear her sing This Record where you really got to be able to sing we all know and I always get confused an is the single or Nancy I think I think Nancy is the singer right Nancy is dark hair and is guitar blonde right here at least I think gosh I always get a mixed up um but that we just know Barracuda it's not an easy record to sing it's not it is not like Nan like the way Nancy sings like it is is almost like I don't think I don't think Nancy get enough credit for how phenomenally she sung on Barracuda I really don't and so when other people try to do it you get the you really get an appreciation for how great she sung on that record so Gretchen she she killing it so far she killing it the real thing don't do the trick you better make up something you going [Music] [Applause] to the my I you all that night all the we're not looking back for the W come on [Applause] y'all probably going to kill me in the comments again I just again Redneck Woman and again you can hear it wasn't me that record was not made to it wasn't meant to show off Gretchen's vocal ability it wasn't it's just a catchy fun country record that you know was kind of made to cross over so to speak and it did but it didn't show what she could do vocally really you know what I mean so I I I just did not know what to expect and and Gretchen knock this out of the park I think if I had to grade this tribute performance I will give it a solid a minus it was really good it was really good the instrumentation was phenomenal um it almost sounded damn near like the studio uh version like it sounded really good it sounded really crisp um and for a lot of performance that's just that's not that's not usually the case so um yeah that that was phenomenal gret oh man all right so look now that I know Gretchen can sing like that for real for real again we got real neck woman out the way and you know I I react or whatever y'all want me to react to but if Gretchen got some more records where she where she showing off the pipes at some point I got to hear it I got to hear it again I really like Redneck Woman it's catchy it's a crossover hit it worked but I do want to you know y'all give her High Praise so I just want to I just want to confirm it and she definitely I mean again if you could sing Barracuda you could damn near sing anything that is a very difficult record to sing it really really is and she knocked it out the park man she really really did I really enjoyed it really really enjoyed it man y'all got to let me know what else from gret and Wilson I need to check out and of course if there's anything from Alice and chains that I need to check out always let me know that it's been so long since I reacted to them definitely let me know and of course if there's any more heart out there that I need to react to let me know you know uh what what those records are as well and I'm I'm going to check those out too um but that was dop that was dope that was a really good performance really really good performance y'all let me know how y'all felt about it as always
