First Time Reaction | Gretchen Wilson - Redneck Woman | SO THIS IS A REDNECK!

Intro bretan Wilson all right that's who we react to today and I'm smiling and laughing because the title of the song is that it's called Redneck Woman all right now listen you know exact you know something I've never thought to do this but what actually is a redneck like we all know like the social answer to that question but like who came up with the term like what does it actually mean to be a redneck let me let me type that up real quick what does it mean to be a redneck cuz I you know of course I know the the term but um okay redneck a person whose behavior and opinions are are similar to those attributed to rednecks okay a white person who lives in a small town or in the country especially in the Southern United States who typically has a workingclass job and who is seen by others as being uneducated and having opinions and attitudes that are offensive okay uh a derogatory term mainly but not exclusively applied to white Americans but perceived to be crass and un unsophisticated closely associated with royal whites of Southern United States okay yeah I anytime I've used the term it it's it's you know obviously it doesn't apply to everybody um it's [Music] uh but see I've used the term with somebody who I would have perceived to be smart so you know anyway y'all already see how this reaction going to go greter Wilson Redneck Woman now I've never heard of this young lady um not familiar with her at all so before we get into the uh to the reaction let's do some quick uh let's do some quick research real quick and then we'll we'll get uh we'll get things going here so she's from Illinois an American country music singer and songwriter and made her debut in March 2004 with the Grammy award-winning single redneck women wow so this is a Grammy award winner a number one hit on the B oh country charts I was about to say number one Hot 100 the song served as the lead uh lead off single of her debut album here for the party Wilson followed this album up one year later with all Jack up the title track of which became the highest debut uh single for female country artist upon his 2005 release um a third album one of the boys was released in 2007 uh here for the party is five times malti Platinum uh all jacked up uh Platinum she has sold over 8.2 million copies worldwide wow so nothing to scarf at lady got some she got some records she she got some stats really impressive stats so let's hear the music then and we know we already know this is a Grammy awardwinning record so I'm I'm I'm hyped I got to hear this and coming off of the Andy Calhoun racism reaction that I did not too long ago I don't know how to prepar for this stuff no more I just hit play so that's what I'mma do let's go Reaction well I ain't never been to Barb down time no I can't Swig that sweet champagne I'd rather drink beer all night in a Tavern or in a honky T around a four-wheel drrive tail gate I've got posters on my wall of skin kiding stet some people look down on me but I don't give a rip I stand there put it in my own front yard with a baby on my hip cuz I'm a red neck W and I ain't no how class WR I'm just a product of the rains and I say hey y'all any H and I keep my Christmas lights on on my front porch all get long I know all the words to every Charlie Daniel song so here's to all my sisters out there keeping it country let me get a big hell yeah from the redneck girls like me hell yeah hell yeah hold up man all I'm I'm rocking with it all right now shout out to the Redneck Woman all right I can't believe I said that um I like this this is fire and look nothing that she said based off of the definition that I just read classifies as a r neck all of those things she just said based off of the definition that I read does not make you a red neck just because you don't partake in Barbie dolls and drink champagne and you stand out outside barefooted with a baby on your hip and drink beer that don't make you a redneck uh sound like a few black women there um so yeah but uh I like it I like this I like this it almost has uh has a lot of early rock and roll in it like like Elvis you know especially the way that piano came in towards the end right there um I really like that um and for her voice it's you know it's nothing amazing me so far but it's I love her accent I love I said this all the time but I love a country accent I really do especially country women it's just some appealing I don't know what it is you know anytime I go down south to visit my cousins for for family reunions I just I love their accent I can't explain it uh but um but yeah I like it man I like it so far definitely uh better than what I was expecting yeah Victoria Secret well their stuff's real nice oh but I can buy the same damn thing on a Walmart shelf half price and still look sexy just as sexy as those models on TV no I don't need no designer tag to make my man want me you might think I'm trashing a little too hardcore but in my neck of the woods I'm jumping through next door hey I'm a red neck W and I ain't no high CL water I'm just the product of my R and I say hey y'all and heaw and I keep my Christmas lights on on my front porch all year long and I know all the words to every T you tuer song so here's to all my sisters out there keeping it country let me get a big hell yeah from the redneck girls like me hell yeah hell yeah I'm a redneck W and I ain't no high clasp bro I'm just a product of my raise and I say hey all I need hard I keep my Christmas lights on on my front por all get long and I know all the words to every hopeful SE song so here to all my sisters out there keeping it country let me get a big hell yeah from the redneck girl like me hell yeah hell yeah H yeah hell yeah hell yeah I said hell yeah [Music] Review watch the hell out now that was fire I like that I ain't going to lie you know I got a little distracted I ain't going to lie she fine well she was fine I don't know what she look like now but she look good right there I tell you that um and then so was that Charlie Daniels sitting on the couch in the cowboy hat we saw Kid Rock which I mean I think this was around the time Kid Rock was was he would Pamela Anderson at this point so I I don't know if that was supposed to be like a r interest thing right there but um clearly she had all the support from all the country artists uh for them to be and Kid Rock wasn't even country at this point right he was still kind of rock rock rap right like he was he like well I don't know uh but anyway I really like the record really like the record and again she fine I ain't I ain't going to lie I ain't going to tell you no lie gret look good all right hold on released on March 15 2004 from her debut studio album Wilson co-wrote the song with John Rich it is Wilson's only number one single on the US Billboard Hot country singles and tracks chart reached number 22 on the Hot 100 internationally the song found mod success well that's actually really good because I usually don't hear about the success of country uh Records overseas because it's so American right like you know I feel like out of all the genres ever to exist I think you could you could probably count on one hand the amount that haven't gravitated because all of you know all of our music actually comes from those other we think that they they start here and then we but most just about every genre that you can name it usually come from Africa or ltin America somewhere but you know obviously everybody in the states I don't care what you look like what kind of uh upbringing you think you come from n times out of 10 you came over here from a boat all right your ancestors somebody came from over came over here in a boat all right uh so a lot of times we think a lot of the music uh comes from here but a lot of times it has its originations in other countries in other continents um but I feel like country is like the only one that's like I I I've never seen a Asian country artist you you'll find millions of hip-hop I mean Asian Asians love hip-hop love hip-hop uh you know Latin hip hop uh soul I mean of course it's different it's a different variation of it in in those countries but you know AR B and all like you'll find it on every continent but country it's so American it's like football that's kind of why I don't find it to be a coincidence that um people really associate country in football like people up north you know watch football just as much as anybody else but it's like it's such a like it's just such a southern thing for football you know like high school football in the south is like NFL games compared to up in the north you know like you know so I kind of feel like football uh I was about to say apple pie but even apple pie out of the states is pretty popular but you know football country music that's really like an American thing you know anyway uh but the the fact that she had International success I mean that's really impressive she won best female country vocal performance that's dope in 2005 uh it was on it was number 97 on the 100 greatest rock uh country songs of all time that's dope it's really really dope so yeah music video that was Hank Williams Jr I was like I I recognized that guy the guy with the cowboy so that was Hank Williams Jr okay gotcha gotcha gotcha gotcha gotcha um the the names that she referenced outside of Charlie Daniels skinnard I really didn't recognize any of those other names she she mentioned when she said I can quote every Charlie name like I I didn't outside of Charlie Daniels I didn't know any of those other records so uh if Tanya Tucker and big and rich is somebody I need to check out y'all let me know um yeah man this is fire this a fire can I just say the music video I mean look and I I I've you know I've never I've never just went down south and went in bars and stuff like that but um you know I don't know I let's just say the women they had in this video I mean just all in the strip club look I mean hey I ain't going to lie to you man I don't discriminate if it look good it look good woman in this joint look good I ain't going to tell you no lie uh again I ain't going to lie when started taking her clothes I didn't know what was going to go down I I I wouldn't I wouldn't going to press pause though I tell you that I wasn't going to press pause but to the Record Man it was fire I liked it I love how she was unap unapologetically her um she's saying look this is who I am I'm not trying to be like nobody else I'm from where I'm from and this is what it is I wish everybody I wish everybody kind of had that um freedom or were allowed to have that Pride um and I feel like we are but you know for still for some people you know certain communities still get shamed for you know how they carry themselves and things like that um so you know I just but I like that she's unap apologetically her um she made it very clear who she is and she's not ashamed of it and that's beautiful that's that's the key to that's the key to it all if you can look yourself in the mirror and be proud of what you see that's all that matters so that's Fire Man Fire I really enjoyed Gretchen Wilson um again I really enjoyed the the instrumentation of it all too the piano uh the guitar again it had a lot of early rock and roll elements to it even though it was definitely deep rooted in country um it had some early rock and roll elements to it which I really really liked um and again nothing really profound stuck out about her voice but just a great record her voice fit the record perfectly um the lyrics were great the video was great just great really really enjoyed it can't wait to hear more you got me and again she look good I ain't going I ain't going to tell you no lie I'm sitting here looking at this album cover don't look bad don't look bad all right Outro know y'all let me know what else from Gretchen Wilson I did you check out as always like comment and subscribe I appreciate y'all for watching until next time with Gretchen Wilson don't forget that 75k giveaway peace
